This is a virus that is using script mods to infect systems. Windows systems are currently at risk. Mac systems are okay (for now), however, you should still run an anti-virus scan and use @twistedmexi's new fix to protect your systems (PC or Mac).

Every time I talk to a DB fan who doesn't know or doesn't agree that the whole franchise is an adventure comedy first and an action series second I feel insane but then I find an old Toriyama interview,

You made some comedic scenes where you have minor villains Pilaf & co. appear; how did you come up with a balance between laughs and fierce battles? Do you pay attention to the difference between comedy and battle in making a work “entertaining”?

I believe that, when you combine comedy and serious battles, both of them might come alive even more. As for me personally, though, I much prefer drawing dumb jokes to battle scenes.

In the latest movie, Toriyama-san, you participated in the production from the scriptwriting stage for the first time. What is the reason for that? Was there anything you noticed in coming face-to-face with the work after so long?

I was told about a project for Dragon Ball in its first animated film in a long while, and I read the story outline; while the beings “Beerus, God of Destruction” and “Super Saiyan God” (which goes above Super Saiyan) were interesting, the themes were heavy, and I felt that the world was a bit different from Dragon Ball. Rather than telling them about this or that problematic spot, I thought it would be faster if I just wrote it out concretely, and while I had intended just to give them a model―”for example”―my hand wouldn’t stop, and ultimately, I ended up writing almost everything, including the dialogue. I am reflecting on the fact that I did something terribly rude to the scriptwriter.

TS4 Malware via .TS4SCRIPT mods

Hi everyone, I figured I would make a post about this just in case anyone who follows me has not yet been made aware of the malware issues happening currently in the Sims 4 modding community. 

Several days ago malware was discovered within a few mods that would silently steal info from your computer such as passwords and private information. This malware was then found to be in many other mods, as early as August 2023. It appears to mostly affect script (.ts4SCRIPT files), but be wary of .package files as well. This malware affected user accounts which appear to have been hacked, or fake accounts made to mimic real users primarily. The list of known mods that were affected are:

Sims 4 Malicious Script Mod Advisory

We all know by now that some modders have been hacked and their script mods replaced with malicious malware. Hopefully none of my followers have been hit and if you have, I hope you've taken the necessary steps to safeguard your sensitive data. There has been a list of modders who's scripts are no longer safe to download circulating.

There are a number of ways to find out if you've been hit or not.

To quickly check if you have been compromised, press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run window. Enter “%AppData%/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/UserData” without the quotes in the prompt and hit OK. This will open up the folder the this particular malware uses. If there is a file in this folder called “Updater.exe”, you have unfortunately fallen victim to the malware. Some sites will tell you "we don't know what it does". In reality, this updater is designed to download, install and run a data collection app. Passwords, site tracking, bank routing -- all the worst case scenarios you can dream up regarding your personal information.

So, delete the folder if you find it and grab this:

bobby "died" on good friday (or the day before for the americans) and with religion being a super important part to bobbys character...

we met bobbys mother in an episode called "holy mother of god" clearly referring to his mother. the mother of god was mary. marys (ann) son (bobby) rose from the dead

chimney taking the rat home after it was infected and healed by the same virus that "killed" bobby

said virus has only a 30% mortality rate (according to the episode) and moira only sped up the incubation time of the virus, not the strength

we didnt see his body

the script leak from both oliver and jlh with bobby saying "im being buried alive" was the same day the cast and crew were filming at a graveyard

the silly cast photos in front of bobbys casket

the name on the turnout coat under the casket on the back of the truck changed from giarusso to nash during the procession livestream

People are talking about embalming and autopsies on Gen’s beautiful script decryption post

And per the CDC you are NOT supposed to perform an autopsy or an embalming on those who die from CCHF as the virus can be passed still after death.

So. They more likely than not took his body straight from the lab to the mortuary and put him in a coffin in isolation.

You should use your color theory powers to prove that Bobby is still alive

Okay, not exactly color theory but stay tuned to step into denial land with me.

One thing about the show is that it loves breadcrumbing. They do a lot of stuff that will make you go "oh, that is what that was" upon rewatch.

So, I made myself rewatch the lab stuff and from that we get Argument Number One: we never saw a body. We saw him pass out and a body bag. Bobby passing out does not mean he is dead because Chimney fully passed out and Chimney was bleeding a lot more than Bobby. And Chimney is alive. The seeing the body is important because we usually do see the body. We see Patricia's body, we have focus on Eddie with Shannon's body, we see Emmett's, we also Marcy's.

In other instances, like with Karen, Denny, Buck, we saw a monitor flatlining or some other confirmation that there is no pulse.

With Bobby we cut from him laying on the table to a body bag when they could've done a dramatic shot of Athena against the glass to parallel Bobby losing Marcy.

Argument Two: the song choice. Licensing Work Song by Hozier has to have been extremely expensive. And honestly, that song after the leaked scripts that he was gonna be buried alive was so...

Like, come on.

And not only that but the way the song overall can be interpreted as an suicidal alcoholic finding something to live for in love.

And the second verse catches my eye when we go back to Sick Day and we go back to bathena's dream house being an empty nest and Athena overall being the thing that tethers Bobby to life. Bobby wanted to die but starting to date Athena is the start of him accepting he found more to life than the things he lost. It all makes the choice of this particular song even more insane. He doesn't want to leave her. He will crawl back to her.

Argument Number Three: Bobby's halloween costume. He's a vampire.

An undead creature. An undead creature that in a lot of versions of the myth needs to go in contact with the virus venom then bleed out to be reborn. And coming back to the leaked script, in a lot of versions of the myth, the person needs to be buried to wake up in their second life.

Argument Four: Still on the buried alive line of thought, this happened in 811. Please note the way she grabs Bobby. We literally had someone be buried alive.

Argument Four bleeds into Argument Five: CDC recomendation for CCHF is to no autopsy, embalment, or do anything with the body beyond put the body bag in the coffin. @muddiedfoxglove has a more detailed post on that here. The situation in 811 is that the husband gave her cyanide, which should have killed her, but didn't, and buried her before checking for sure she was dead. Sounds familiar to everyone assuming the virus killed Bobby and not checking and him being buried with his full gear that includes his phone and will let him call 911 when he wakes up from this thing that should have killed him but did not?

Argument Number Six: the copilot from the plane disaster. In particular Athena's part in keeping him alive. He's powering through because there no other pilot, but then his heart stops. There's the whole effort to keep doing cpr while Athena fixes the situation and lands the plane, and then Athena chooses to stay in the plane, even thought it is on fire, to continue that and he ultimately makes it. Kinda like the way Athena fixes the situation with Chimney and is the reason Bobby has to stay alive.

Argument Number Seven: this parallel.

There's also the way Buck was dead, his light was on, Bobby's isn't on. We also had the full helmet in frame for Buck, and that did not happen with Bobby. But Buck makes it out of it alive.

Argumemt Number Eight: Jesus. 911 has added a lot of Jesus symbolism to Bobby this season. And it makes me wonder after meeting his mother in a church. And the fact that the episode aired on Holy Thursday. And the fact that the funeral is being filmed on the Hall of Crucifixion and Resurrection. The Easter of it all points to resurrection.

Edit: Wait, no, Argument Nine: 808 and the way Brad's character was supposed to be dead but has a "miracle recovery" no one could explain. Also plays into the Jesus of it all.
