Valentines stuff I didn't post during the 14th, because I didn't.

I picked four random couples, cause I didn't have enough time to search for poses and all that only for said day. (Also I heard about the malware hidden in some mod pages, so I rather avoid the pages for a while)

Ok I added a platform, because otherwise, you couldn't see the heart.

I just realized I had a fourth couple and forgot to screenshot them.....

Don't ask, but I don't like the new Goth version and stuck with the old ones. The only thing I would change would be Bella's skin.

Like I had spontaneously the idea to do something for Valentines day on said day and had two ideas in mind. A couple dancing in the middle of the heart or more couples dancing around the heart. I found this on the gallery from the Seasons pack. I just wanted to see, if this would look any cute, but the teeth are bothering.....

But we all know, they DON'T WANT TO DANCE THE WAY I WANTED. And for some reason Gerda was nauseous (Story Progression made her pregnant 😭)

7/10 rating for my creation. Weirdly they look better here than in S4.

This was my idea, but they were all on the wrong spot. Then I had a plan C and filmed all couples from the near slow-dancing. THEN JAMIE'S HUSBAND DECIDED WITH ME HAVING THE ACTIVITY TURNED OF GO TO WORK AND BREAKING THE ACTION BY HIMSELF!

With some cute music each couple dancing would be cute :3 Except I didn't know what to put on it 😂 (Watch me put Amy MacDonald over Rollda, because the movie did the same)

Right you become a James Bond-rip-off, when you get Level 10 in Law Enforcement. He's also the dumbass, that decided to leave the dance for work. (He's also a workaholic, so....)

Fun fact: Both their names mean the same thing, but when I made him I just gave him a random name xD

do you have any tips of how to make a sims 4 hunger games fan film. I’ve wanted to make my own, but I have no idea how to start and I’ve never played the sims 4 before. Also does making a movie cost any money or is it completely free?

The reason why not many people managed to make a movie from start to finish is because it's a very complicated process, and it takes a lot of time (months). But I'll give you a few tips to get started.

First of all, you need a good PC with a good graphics driver and a lot of RAM because the Sims consumes a lot of resources. You can play the game on minimum specs but you need something high quality for filming.

Second, you need to actually play the Sims and understand how it works and what the limitations of the game are. The Sims is not made with movie making in mind, so you need to figure out workarounds for your problems. Otherwise, you will be frustrated because your Sims' needs are constantly dropping, or they go to school/work when you need them on the lot, or you don't know how to change the time settings because the time goes by too fast in game.

Third, you need mods. Fortunately, most mods are free, and you can find them online (I added a list of necessary mods that are pinned in the comments section for the 43rd). But you still have to be careful and download from trusted sources so that you don't get malware on your computer. Patreon and Curseforge are generally safe. Avoid Adfly and other URL shorteners at all costs unless you have an ad blocker because you may accidentally click on a malicious ad. It's a good idea to hover over the link before clicking on it, and if the URL looks sketchy, then it's better to err on the side of caution.

Fourth, learn how to use reshade, poses, and camera controls. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube regarding that, it's up to you.

Fifth, get a good screen recorder. I personally use OBS.

Sixth, get a good video editor. I use DaVinci Resolve, but it might be a bit too complicated for a beginner. I would have recommended Capcut in the past as an alternative, but unfortunately, a lot of the features are paywalled, and my recent experience with it made me switch back to Resolve. I'm not sure what else you could use, but I think OpenShot could be a decent alternative.

The most important thing is — do not set overly ambitious goals for yourself, or you will get frustrated and give up. Filming in the Sims is not easy, and it's better to just film short scenes in the beginning to get used to it before diving into a big project. Believe it or not, I also made scenes and other short films before making these movies, and while the quality was not that great, it was a nice learning experience. I didn't start making these movies with 0 experience.

And now, can you make a movie for free? The short answer is — yes. But with limitations. If you use base game only, you won't have a lot of maps, so the arena options will be limited. You also won't have weather and pets, so arena events will also be more difficult to make. I personally couldn't film without any packs. It's doable, but even mods are not enough to make up for the lack of packs that I find essential, like Seasons.

So, that's it. Well, there's a lot more to say, but these are just the basics.

I’m super new to CCs in sims and last time i tried it my laptop overheated and died (i had to pay £100 to fix it). Do you have any tips to kinda be a little more in control with it. Is there stuff to avoid? Certain websites to look on? I’m desperate for any help really.

I had problems with overheating notebooks before (I was playing TS4 on an old Macbook in the beginning, not a good idea, lol), you do kinda need a high-performance one if you want things to run smootly with high settings + Custom Content. On my old Dell notebook I only had smooth gameplay if I used low settings, Ultra wasn’t working at all and the more CC I accumulated the slower things were going (and my lap was burning up) I was never able to have Photoshop and Sims 4 open at the same time. So yeah, a high performance notebook is key because Sims 4 takes a LOT of RAM space. 

If you find you can have only a certain amount of CC in your mods folder with you notebook running smoothly make sure to only have in your mods folder what you need at the time, ie only have the cc you need for the save youre currently playing or only have your Poses folder in your mods folder if youre actually taking posed screenshots. I have a massive BuildandBuy folder but always take it out at first when Im building so things run smoothly and then I add in what I really need for that specific build.

Of course you also want to be careful to not be using outdated mods and not to accidentally download any malware. Generally tread carefully when downloading anything online. Thesimsresource has safe downloads but you have to pay a small monthly fee to download or put up with their ads. Thesimsworkshop is also safe. Steer clear of Adfly and links that ask you to allow notifications or ask you to install add-ons. When you get a download button through a link really look at the page and be sure what exactly youre actually downloading. Simfileshare is safe. Dropbox is safe (i think, people please correct me if I’m wrong).

I've had a few comments asking how to install The Sims 4 on the MacBook Air - the solution is super simple and will take seconds!

My entry level MacBook Air has finally arrived so I can start playing around with Sims 3 and Sims 4. This is my Mac: 2020 13″ MacBook Air Apple M1 chip with 8‑core CPU, 7‑core GPU and 16‑core Neural Engine 8GB unified memory 256GB SSD storage. I have all packs up to and including Snowy Escape installed. Settings are maxed out in each game.
