*I considered doing both Vlads in the same poll with a choice of either one or both, but I decided that since they're different enough to have different VAs, I would do them separately.

[Day 1 - March 23, 2024]
Hi guys, Sofia Ebby here!
Not really sure if I can do this everyday but I'll do this as often as I can and make the entries as varied (and unserious) as I can.
I hope you guys can find a newfound appreciation for Vlad III [Extra] and join my cause as days go by.

from stars through my fingers like grains of sand
Procyon III was a frigid hellhole. Even Cait's suit heaters weren't enough to hold off the chill. Sam, on the other hand, was in his element. "Is it weird that I really like that first shock of cold?"
"Yes," Cait bit off, shivering. "How can anyone like this? Aren't you freezing?"
"Not really," Sam shrugged. "Here, let me check—" He bent over her external suit readouts. "No, suit heaters are going fine." The stark framing of his helmet made his eyes even bluer. "You gonna be alright? We can do this another day."
"According to the logs, this is good weather." It was mid-afternoon, sunny and clear. She really didn't want to be here when a storm broke out. "I'll be fine."
"All right, then." Sam gave her an excited smile. "So Vlad said, what, look for scanner anomalies?"
"Yeah." Cait made a mental note to put some extra thermal protection on the Mantis suit, and nodded. "So let's see…" She did a slow spin in place. "Looks like roughly northwest of here."
"Probably a bad idea to take the ship any closer to it," he suggested.
"Yeah," she agreed again. "So it's on foot for us. Keep your rifle ready; I'm picking up a number of big animals around here, and just our luck for one or more of them to be aggressive."
"You cover the scanner, I cover your back." A cheerful thumbs-up. "We got this."
It was a beautiful planet, there was no arguing that; although the cold and the high CO2 content were troublesome for humans, the native life was thriving. Without even trying, Cait counted two major forms of plant life and three types of fauna, including a nastily aggressive predator. "Here's the one to look for. I'll let you know if any of them blip on the scanner."
"Right." Sam's helmet turned toward her. "Anything new on those distortions?"
"We're heading in the right direction," she said. "They're getting worse. Maybe something over that ridge?" She gestured, and they shifted course slightly; another five minutes, and they reached the top.
"Holy shit," breathed Sam. "Is that—"
She raised up the scanner, showing him the scrambled display, the pops and distortions. "Yeah," she breathed, awestruck by the sight laid out before them.

Interesting that Vlad shows be calculative here. I don't think this side of him is much presented in the game.
