Mr. Fenton is a competent teacher. Almost too competent.

If Mr. Daniel Fenton had any more than a BS (with a minor in education), Tim would’ve flagged his profile as a potential Rogue. That’s the way of most charismatic academics, at least in Gotham. (Got a PhD? Instant watchlist.) Instead, he’s Gotham Academy’s newest celebrity, as a young, passionate, out-of-towner substitute while the chemistry teacher’s on maternity leave.

Tim gets the hype. Fenton seems to genuinely love teaching, and is invested in the welfare of the student body. He hands out bananas during exam week, hosts a “study habits seminar” each month to coach effective learning strategies, and the third time Tim falls asleep in his class, he even pulls Tim aside to ask if he’s doing okay. With all the late work he accepts and the protein bars he sneaks Tim, he’s every teen vigilante’s dream teacher. He could’ve been Tim’s favorite.

In fact, Mr. Fenton was Tim’s favorite. Up until Tim walks into Mr. Fenton’s chemistry classroom for a forgotten textbook, an hour after the final bell.

On the board where tallied scores for today’s review game had been kept, “THE CHEMISTRY BEHIND DR. CRANE’S FEAR GAS: ANXIOGENICS, NERI’S, & YOU,” is now scrawled. A detailed diagram of the human endocrine system projects in front of a small crowd of adoring and attentive students.

Fenton is wrist-deep in the skull cavity of an anatomical model. A short tug, and out pops the brain.

It’s plastic. It’s fake.

Tim identifies the nearest emergency exit.

Fenton turns to the door, and in the dark classroom with the projector illuminating half his face, his eyes almost seem to flash red. “What’s up, Tim?” he asks. His friendly grin is too big for his face. “I didn’t know you wanted to join the Just Science League!”

[OR: Danny’s a science teacher at Tim’s school. Gotham’s a pretty wild place, even for someone who grew up a superhero in a ghost-infested town, so he takes it upon himself to start a club teaching kids how to manage themselves in the event of a crisis. These Gothamites are pretty hardy, but a little extra training never hurt anybody! And he suspects one of his students might be a teen vigilante, like he’d been, back in the day. As a senior super, it's Danny’s duty look out for him! Surely, this is the subtlest and most appropriate way to give the kid pointers.]

Why not join a class of semi-primordial beings by getting smuggled in one of their hoodies into shapeshifting class because he’s ‘just a lil guy’! The Phantom siblings and Amity are great! And Solomon hasn’t told him not to yet, nor has the sort-of Marvel hivemind, so honestly nothing could go wrong here. Oh hey Freddy, you got grabbed too?

An audience with queen Nubia (dp x dc)

Nubia sighed as she rose from her desk, massaging her nose bridge. Today was the day Themyscira would receive the dignitaries, exceptionally allowing men to step onto Paradise Island. Or rather, part of it. Nubia had done the diplomatic tour of the Patriarch’s World when she had first been made Queen, and it was now time to pay respects and meet with their older allies and compatriots.

“My Queen,” her newest attendant said. “They have arrived.”

“My thanks, Andromeda,” Nubia answered. “I will be out shortly.”

Andromeda nodded and stepped out, leaving Nubia to the privacy of her chambers. She quickly put on her ceremonial armor, well-used to the motions before she put on her laurel crown.

As she stepped outside, she was soon flanked by two of her warriors, also wearing their ceremonial armor. They arrived to the Agora shortly, and Nubia walked up towards the small group that had been lead there already.

The King was younger than Nubia had thought he would be, but then again, age was practically meaningless to those who hailed from the Realms.

“Queen Nubia,” he started with a deferential nod. “I and my friends thank you for your hospitality.”

Nubia bowed her head in return. “You do us a great honor in traveling away from your land, King Phantom.”

The child-king smiled, his canines peaking through, as he replied, “The honor is ours.”

So for the Horus Pegasus,

if you get the level 2 crackshot talent you can Crit with your smartgun dealing 1D6 bonus damage which is still gonna be accurate because smartgun is accurate, which basically gives u a ~45% Crit chance on average if you are at max level as long as you don’t move.

Now if you take the overpower calibre Core Bonus you get another 1D6 bonus damage once per turn, if you Crit or don’t.

Then there’s hunter lock which just gives you a +3 bonus damage.

Sooooo, the Pegasus can just take the average for its bonus damage dice, meaning 2D6 = 7 bonus damage, +3 from Hunters lock resulting in 10 bonus damage (or just 7 if you don’t Crit).

You’ve heard about walking armoury tho right? With hellfire at level 2 this bonus damage becomes BURN, yes 10 burn on a Crit, and guess what u get at walking armoury level 3, if you Crit it’s FOR FREE. You also still deal 4 energy damage with smartgun this way but who cares because 10 BURN!!!!!

So basically you start your turn, stand still, put hunters lock on a mf, roll your dice and have a 45% chance to do 10 burn to a target for free, and a 55% chance to cause 7 burn for 2/6 charges, but let’s be real how long does combat last not long enough to use all those charges with these chances, hell yeahhhhrrrrr baybbeeeeeee
