Been too long since I've jrwi posted. Thinking about Vyncent. Thinking about all of Condis PCs actually. I feel like I have the most fun watching Condi play when he has characters like Emizel where he can fuck around the whole time and do things for the bit. I adore Jay Ferin, don't get me wrong, and she is so girlfailure and I love her, but she is so much less stupid than some of the other PCs. there's something so fascinating about Emizel killing himself in front of the twins just because he could. Emizel as a whole is my favorite character from the Suckening I think. He's just so funny. Like wdym he thinks he grew up an an orphan baby mechanic??? Hello??? Why is he like that!!! I love him!!!

One of my favorite Jay Ferin moments is that fuckass scene in the mold corridor. Having chaotic shit like that is such a treat to watch, and I love it. I just enjoy when Condi’s PCs are having a time, it's so fun to watch! Or like the fact that I was rewashing PD the other day and there was a scene where they were all on lime scooters or something and William got hit by a bus?? Or something I don't fucking remember and just found Vyncent on the roof of a building?? For some reason??? Why was he there??? How did he get there!?!? He's truly magical.

Oh god fucking Ryan from Mythborne. He drives me crazy. Why is he like that! He's such a dick I love him sm. Bullying Connor the whole time, going by Jyan to fit in with the J crew, continuously talking about the big floatball game even though they're at rat war or whatever. He makes me chuckle.

Also! Not in JRWI but in that pal world slimecicle video where he was a villain the whole time, condi playing a condescending know it all gamer man was honestly my favorite part. So funny to watch and I liked that it added a story and antagonist for the video. I always love the council videos. They bring me joy!

I could talk about this for ages, but im boarding a flight right now LMFAO.

Anyways- so one of the pcs that is played by grizzly is Aster Aeliana and after listening to it every time consistently when I hear people talking about aster in regards to the Sun goddess from riptide and always think for a second they are talking about Aster from mythborne and it messes me up 😭

I now also only imagine aster the Sun goddess as looking like aster from mythbornes which is kinda a fun visual lol

Anyways all this to say I love aster and she is fucking amazing and I think it is so fun that grizzly possibly named a goddess in his campaign after her WHICH ALSO IS FUN TO THINK ABOUT SINCE HER MOM IS A GOD, SPECIFY THE SUN GODDESS SO IT IS LIKE SHE HAS TAKEN HER PLACE-

got into Dimension 20 recently and i've been meaning to get into JRWI, what's a good way to start out?

Oo depends on whether you’re willing to spend money and what kinda genre you like!

Riptide is the main campaign and free on YouTube. It’s set in a world made mostly of ocean and is pirate themed, lots of mysteries and colourful NPCs! This is a D&D campaign with some amounts of homebrew. Has a short prequel that I recommend watching beforehand but not mandatory. DMed by GrizzlyPlays. Status: Ongoing

Prime Defenders is the first/main Patreon campaign and mostly paywalled on the 5$ patreon tier. Common consensus is that it starts off kinda awkward but gets better a few episodes in once everyone gets more in tune with their characters and the system. This is a superhero themed Mutants and Masterminds campaign with lots of themes of morality and mortality. Has a short prequel that I recommend watching beforehand but not mandatory. First 5 episodes are free on YouTube. DMed by Bizly. Status: Ongoing

Apotheosis is the second Patreon campaign, originally intended to be a mini-series while PD was on hiatus so shorter with only 14 episodes. Very much a fantasy D&D campaign with lower amounts of homebrew. A personal favourite with very interesting character dynamics and DM intros to each episodes that will knock your socks off. DMed by Condifiction. First episode available for free on YouTube. Status: Complete.

Blood in the Bayou is a 4 episode patreon mini campaign. A Horror Call of Cthulhu system campaign set in a small 1980s town in Louisiana. DMed by Slimecicle. First episode is free on YouTube. Status: Complete

JRWI ALFIR APPRECIATION POST!

ok for the ones who dont use youtube to watch jrwi, the pinned comment youd see for most campaign episodes is someone called alfir (they have a wolf pfp) that has done timestamps for EVERY episode ive seen of riptide (and mythborne), im also pretty sure theyve done it for every episode on the channel, which they dont have to do yet do (once they put them out 10 MINUTES after it was posted, and the time stamps were in the hour marks). i had so much trouble watching mythborne because i couldnt tell what was happening, so the timestamps really helped describe what was happening and basically how i got into jrwi at all (well, charlie got me into it through chuckle dungeon, but i probs wouldnt have stayed without alfir)! not only are there timestamps, but also tws and a quick message about how to support the crew (very epic of them) heres an image of their message below (beginning is always the same for each comment, but it still is special):

i cannot say thanks enough to this random stranger online who does this, my adhd would make episodes impossible without. now i do use the transcript to see what happens sometimes, but i always look through your timestamps to get an idea of what to look forward too. i cant exactly comment a thank you, so ive put it on tumblr, where others may know of your amazingness and commitment to the jrwi fandom! I think we as a society don't have enough crossover aus that's just jrwi plus whatever fucking smp Charlie's on. And I'm not talking just riptide (though I LOVE riptide crossover stuff but imagine the chaos of all of the campaigns in one spot) (no I haven't watched fated yes I still need to listen to mythborne but shhhh.)

Anyways specifically I'm thinking about how fucking hilarious it'd be to have convergence + qsmp. Like guys their whole thing is collecting golden eggs to travel dimensions. Also imagine Alastyr losing his fucking mind upon seeing all the gizmos and contraptions. Imagine if the golden eggs all became sentient lil guys. Fucking imagine how funny all the magic stuff would be. Also I imagine Kroe somehow being the main egg dad cause iirc he was the one mostly in charge of the golden eggs.

Also imagine Kasper trying to show off his magic and his magic going wild and then y'know. Wheel Time™ and everyone is immediately on edge cause wtf was that. Also I could totally see Flynn and Alastyr trying to look into the census bureau stuff.

Also strangle shittily builds a house. Also also Kroe ending up in Cucurucho's white room somehow and immediately has immense war flashbacks to the hospital™ cause y'know :) he's the only one who remembers. Also none of these guys would trust Wilbur he reminds them too much of Spidebur and fuck that guy.

Also it'd be funny if qCharlie knew them. Like moreso then he'd know shit with the riptide pirates in that crossover cause this guy was the dm for it. He made that shit. (I think maybe if it was exile era he'd try to take one of the golden eggs to try and use them to leave)

Also I feel like a lot of people would be sus of them <3 because where the fuck did they come from(strange portal) and why do they have like 3 eggs and why are all of them golden.
