okay okay- so. i have not laughed and smiled that hard in an audio for a while, it’s been really fucking nice.

i’ve had a frustrating couple of days, and this was super nice to just let go and laugh and smile with my fav boys :)) thank you redacted, seriously.

now- damien and huxley’s relationship has only gotten better and better. there’s always been some sort of connection between them, and they’ve always gotten along together. the way they’ve come to care and love each other is extraordinary and beautiful to see. after inversion, fuck it made them both realize not to waste any time, and they truly love each other. i love their relationship so much. they’re perfect together and i can’t wait to see more!

lasko- precious boy, he’s so sweet still to this day and so supportive. redacted could’ve gone about this in a different way and he’ll maybe in the future give lasko some angst- EVEN IF HE DOESNT DESERVE IT. but i’d like to think he’s either just happy with himself, or another character.

orrrr HE’LL GET WITH THE GODDAMN FREELANCER AND GAVIN. THEY ALL FIT SO WELL IT MAKES SENSE. if it doesn’t happen, no harm done! i’m just saying- IT WOULD WORK OKAY? AND BEAUTIFULLY SO.

this audio was fucking great, and it’s probably in my top five now, it’s that good. it made my day, it was happy it was story driven and it was full of laughter. i love it.

I bought a planner!

February 11 2021

Hola a todos. It’s the last week of the term! I guess I’m already on break but I still feel un poco stressed because I feel as if I still have work to do. 😅 Anyway, I submitted a lot of deliverables the past few days, one of which was my final essay for one of the classes under my minor degree.

I woke up from my nap this afternoon and saw a Canvas notification for my output! My prof commented on my essay (but he didn’t grade it yet idk) so I was like woooo let’s gooooo. I was still sleepy so I was like 🥱🙂💛 when I saw it and then I woke up and read it again and I was like 😀😳✌️🥰

It really means a lot to me as a student/writer to get encouraging messages from my professors. I’m really cheesin y’all. 🥺 It’s really the little things.

I was about to say something like “it’s just a reflection paper though” but I realized that:

1. I almost invalidated myself again

2. It’s not “just” a reflection paper!! reflection is very important!! just because it’s not like, an academic research paper doesn’t mean the value is absent or any less than the other requirements!!

AHA! Almost caught myself downplaying my achievements again. Nope! Not this time! I’m beaming because my professor recognized my skill. I’m also happy that I got to express how much I genuinely enjoyed his class. Teachers also need encouragement after all.

I’m not sure what grade I garnered from this paper since he didn’t grade it but we’ll see when the final grades come out. I’ve been doing consistently well in this class anyway so I am not too worried. It was stressful since some group mates were just rude or unhelpful but we made it through this class!

Moving on...

Earlier this week, I made a post because I got a notif from Canvas that really triggered my anxiety. It was my grade for one of the important papers for my majors class, as well as one comment from that particular professor. Long story short, my sister ended up checking it for me and I got the grade I targeted (2.5 baby!!) and his comment wasn’t too cruel.

I have to admit that I started being conscious about the length of my sentences when he said that. I don’t really proofread (well sometimes I do) my shit on here so my posts tend to have errors and a ton of run-ons like right now. Also, this prof is a boomer. That’s just how they talk online. A user over at Reddit told me that I don’t need to compartamentalize everything that comes to my head and I’ve been doing my best to choose my mental battles lately. My fearful reaction is understandable given I am only human and I do have my insecurities.

However, I have a choice to view this comment constructively. Receiving criticism shouldn’t be an excuse for me to hate on myself. Even just a little. I’m actively working on building myself up and to stop crumbling at every comment I receive (whether it’s comments from my own head or other people).

Receiving these comments from different professors this week reminded me of the importance of balance when it comes to mindset. I have to acknowledge both my strengths and weaknesses. I have to learn which comments to take and build from instead of taking everything in and weaponizing it for self deprecation purposes.

I received validation from the first prof and I was reminded of the importance of being kind to myself from the other. I’m really grateful for everything that’s been taking place in my life lately. So much angel numbers and blessings have made their way onto my path and I really love that for me. 🥰✌️

In a recent vlog, Amber Scholl opened up about her relationship with her body. She’s gone a long way since she was a teenager but she said that the thoughts never really go away, you just learn not to act on them. That reminds me of a tweet that goes like...we never stop healing. I still have a long way to go in terms of self confidence but my goodness I am so far from the person I was last year and I know I’m making her proud because of all the growth I experienced. Most importantly, I’m really proud of myself since I didn’t jsut learn my lesson. I’m embodying the lessons I learned and I’m really making an active effort to be better for myself.

I’m trusting myself more and making more decisions. I even bought myself a planner earlier! Big deal since I tend to overthink purchases because I always feel guilty. I really wanted that planner so I went for it. I also decided not to take two classes next term because I know what I can handle. I’m going at my own time and I feel so empowered to say that. So much of my life was lived because of pressure from other people. They made me feel so suffocated that I would bring it to myself to pressure myself when I’m in stressful situations. Not this time. I’m taking myself back. The planner I bought is just a start. I’m owning myself and I really couldn’t be more proud.

This post is long but...that’s okay. This is my post. It’s my account. I’m writing for myself. I don’t owe anyone good grammar, etc. (except my profs lol). Alright, my anxiety is starting to act up but I’m still feeling pretty empowered right now so I’ll hit post to shut it up.

we ALL know how much this boy has such a passion for volleyball so what does he do during the summer? go play beach volleyball! when he’s not catching a pickup game on the sand against his teammates, he’s tugging on a wetsuit and grabbing a board, hollering at a full sprint as he races into the water! this boy is a SUCKER for high energy sports and absolutely loves the rush he gets from catching a wave, not to mention how cool it makes him look 👀 like just imagine him; wetsuit clinging to his muscled torso as he climbs out of the water, two toned hair slicked back as he grins, his eyes glowing with excitement like UGH. 🥰

enough of me getting caught up in how attractive this man is ok-

you had picked up a job over the summer working at your local beach, waitressing at a beachside cafe that overlooked the ocean. in the early mornings, you sat before your shift on the dock, legs dangling off of the edge as you watched groups of surfers racing one another into the chilly waters before them. as you sipped your latte, you nearly spewed your drink all over your uniform as a screech cut through the peaceful silence of the morning.

“WOOOO! LETS GOOOOO!”

you searched for the source of the voice, your eyes landing on a spiky haired boy dancing ahead of his gaggle of friends, practically cartwheeling down the beach as ran.

his animated expressions and childlike excitement brought a smile to your face as you smothered a giggle with your hand, hoping they hadn’t heard you down below.

mucha to your dismay, one sharp owl had heard you snickering from above:

the boisterous boy gazed up at you as he shielded his face from the glaring sun. as he met your eyes and saw a blush creeping across your cheeks, guilty as charged, he laughed heartily, waving up at you.

“OYA,” he shouted up at you, “what’s your name?”

You grinned; “come up here after you’re done and you’ll find out!”

You were answered with a sunshine-smile and a thumbs up as you watched him sprint off, your eyes crinkling as you anticipated his visit.

So I probably shouldn't have started off my challenge chat with gianna "aren't you from that game a year ago?" 😆 Because she definitely did not remember me WHOOPSIES.

Gabriela is gone! But was she ever here 😂 I have doubts, America. Anyways I'm gonna demolish this 😎 and if I don't I need to be disowned lol. Word games go hard in my family granted I haven't personally played them in a while but losing this challenge would still be a disgrace 😂😂😂 so I better win at Boggle. Alliances wise I'm feeling good about Bobby and Amy (and Danny in Quad Unexpected) but I should talk more to Els and make an effort with Tyecha I feel like it can't hurt to have secondary alliances 🤷🏽 let's get messy!!

Woo hoo we are all still intact on my tribe. I’m sad about the removal but the game must go on and part of me was afraid that I was going but I’m glad I’m still here!!!! Let’s see how well I do on the next challenge!

Okay I'm like totally indifferent that gabriela went home like she literally never showed up but I did want the other side to lose someone first. I hope this challenge goes okay. Els is paired with Ava and said they'd pass along my hellos. My tribe definitely quieted down today I am having to check myself before constantly talking haha I don't want to spool them there are quite a few new players. But luckily it seems at least for now everyone is cool with me. I don't actually want to be in a group with Danny haha he's a wildcard in this game. But everything else seems fine. I'm confident in my group with Elle and Bobby. And I believe I'll be starting a group with els and Megan. And I think I am the one talking most with tyecha and jasmine and Jessie so we will see where the pieces fall when they fall because I genuinely like everyone. I do wish people would stop moving black chess pieces though haha!

I'm very relieved, and yet still very anxious. I want to do well, and yet I know I'm coming in with a generational disadvantage, and the fact that the vote yesterday wasn't unanimous concerns me that I might have been on the block. Also and what I didn't consider is that it's very hard to *read* people in a virtual environment. I'm trying my best and being nothing but myself, but how is that going over? Am I seen as annoying, a try hard, a threat? There are some people I trust more than others. Some I just don't know. Time will tell.

I won my round and I got a team 10% advantage for next round so I hope they see me as an asset not a threat rn.

Thank God we have immunity because last time all kinds of names were going everywhere and I’m wasnt really sure what was gonna go down, which is a bad bad feeling in this game. I think boggle was a great way to make connections on the other side (wink wink) and I hope I’m not playing too hard because I definitely yell at my TV when someone’s playing too hard.

I’m so happy we won our first immunity challenge!!!! I actually thought if we were to lose again that I would be on the bubble because I lost again and felt like oh no not again! But I’m so happy because I can connect with the tribe more so let’s gooooo!!!

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!! Wow we kicked ass (not me I got carried) Okay so vibing with Melisa, Tim and, Ariel so far. I also just realized I haven’t messaged Pule AT ALL. Why I’m I so bad at this.

So it's post tribal, I did one of the better scores on my team. Luckily, I'm in a 4 person alliance with the others who did better and we're aiming to rope in a 5th or 6th person just to simply the vote for us. We'll see.

If I lose, I really do think it'll be on the social aspect... And I crushed the immunity challenge, so I got to prove my worth after feeling weak in the other one.

I’m the most upset that we one the first challenge and yet we are still about to go down 2 people. Why did we have to have a ghost.

So I’m in a spot. And I’ve been really trying to limit my messaging haha like barely checking in with people. I was on call with Els who said “everyone likes you” and my response was literally “oh no 🤦‍♀️“ haha they were like it’s not a prop Len this early in the game ha. But then immediately after Bobby was like Jasmine said she’s closest to you and Els likes you. And if we already have a 4 of Danny Elle Bobby and me…. Listen I’m trying to be closest with everyone out here without having them reveal that haha 😆 I’m just trying to be a nice person this time round and I am worried I already put a target on myself for being nice and people liking me and then raffy suggesting the advantage puts a target on me lol I was literally just trying to avoid tribal I hate tribal. Anyway apparently they can vote me out and still keep my advantage but imagine how rude that would be. I don’t think I’m in danger rn but who knows how this will end.

I think Bobby is a lot better at this game than he is letting people believe. Someone said I’ll video call Bobby if he knows how. Like besties he’s not 80 he’s out here using reactions, quoting, tagging people, and really knows survivor. And everyone loves him. I might take a small step back so he becomes the bigger social one.

So I lost at Boggle even though had I played against literally anyone else on either team I would've won. Tracks with my luck I'd get paired with the competitive Boggle player in high school 😂 like whaaaaaat even- I hate it here 😂😂😂. It looks like the vote's gonna be Jessie, maybe Megan. We will see! We won the Boogle immunity challenge. Great! But let's rewind a little bit, shall we? So before the announcement of the results of the first IC there are two people I haven't spoken to in out tribe, which are Nasir and Giana. So we lost, and everyone knew Giana got the lowest. Now, I'm not the kind of person who base my vote on a challenge performance, but then again I haven't really spoken to Giana. So when most of the people I have talk to mentioned her name as an option, I was like, great! I'm down! Let's do that. But then, there is something fishy going on, Giana knew she is probably going home, but she is not messaging me. So I was thinking, is she making some moves against me? Or does she have an idol? We haven't spoken. I don't know who she have already spoken. What if everybody votes her out and then she pulls out and idol. I could probably be her target, why wouldn't I? She never have spoken to me. So I decided to message her before casting my vote, just so she knows she can work with me, that she can have an ally in me. But it was just a casual chitchat, we haven't really connected. So I was still voting her out. And so I did. And then went to sleep. The next day I woke up to a different plot. Now this is where it gets interesting. Tim, remember Tim my "number 1", so Tim, told me we should vote for Emily instead. And I was like, WHY??? I have a few convo with Emily, although we never really talk about gameplay, so I am totally fine voting her out, but we have something we can work with. So I'd rather really vote for Giana. And then Tim told me that apparently, Jessica created an alliance with everyone besides me, Nasir, Pule and Giana. And apparently, they were voting for Giana. So I was reading the names, and I was like, this list seems familiar. Oh right, this is exactly the same people me and Melisa agreed to, to make alliance, except I was not on that alliance. So Melisa? Hello????? What happened girl? I thought we were cool. And Jessica too, I thought we were good. She is sending me pictures of the view that she went to and then this? What is going on here? Are you just randomly looking for photos in the internet that you can send me so that I will think that "oh, she really is such a nice person, chu chu whatever"? So Tim, told me, if we vote Giana, then it has a high probability that either me, Pule or Nasir goes home the next time we lost an IC. Me, and Pule. Pule, my number 1. No. That is not happening, so I was like, okay. Let's do this. Let's vote Emily out. Ava, Nasir, Jester, Pule, Giana, me and Tim, we all did vote for Emily. Except I don't really know because plot twist, someone from the witch tribe got eliminated due to inactivity. Which is great, but I would have love to see the votes. I still do chat with Melisa and Jessica from time to time, but I can already feel something between them. I don't know, I would love to vote them out next time. And here is the funny thing, if Emily indeed get voted out that tribal, we are down to 9, that means Jester will play the challenge, that means we probably have lost. Also let us not forget what a beat Emily, Pule and Melisa are in that challenge. Good for them, and Pule way to make yourself a threat. Two challenges in a row. And oh, I'm not done yet, so Tim, also told me that he found an advantage, which is that he can call someone and ask about all the alliances. I don't know if he is just playing with me to get me confess that I indeed have a different alliance, because Nasir, apparently would like to play this game with me, Pule and Jester. I don't know exactly what to do with this information for now. But you know what, my strategy going on, is making sure that every advantages that I know of works in my favor. So good for you Tim, go hunt for another idol/advantage. Although I am getting closer and closer to Tim and farther and farther with Pule. So this for now I am definitely riding my alliance with Tim, Ava and Pule because I really do like the 3 of them. Ok, that's my rant for now. Good night.

Hey y’all! Right now it’s lookin g like the vote is leaning towards Jessie which kinda sucks but you know what, it is what it is. It seems like people have had a hard time connecting with her so I get it and I’m down to do it. Right now I’m in an alliance with Bobby and Amy which is great!! I forgot to keep track of what day it is already LOL DAY __ LET'S GO!!! OH my GODDD the gag of the century was when it was the other tribe who lost another member due to inactivity. When Raffy announced it was going to be Boggle for the 2nd immunity challenge, I'm like BITCH YES i got this in the bag PERIOD y'all can sit out I gotchu all LOL I literally played competitive Boggle back in high school so yes this is mine for the taking. I was going to suggest Boggle tricks and tips but I thought it's not worth it because 1, idk it might paint a target on my back and 2, I don't mind if we lost this one HAHA AGAIN I just want to really test the relationships I have and I'm still confident enough I'm not going home yet. Anyways I KILLED that Boggle battle with my opponent (sorry girl you just faced the wrong opponent). I wasn't expecting Raffy to announce like the scores, I thought he would just go over who won for each round. BIIIITCH everyone knew my score which is like really high AND I'M SCSRED Y'ALL. They might be looking at me now as like a challenge threat or something AND ISTG I PROMISED MYSELF I was going to lay low pre-merge. Threat management is hard to do because we only get to know the results at like 9 PM like you won't know how did everyone truly do at the challenges until the results. ISTG at the next immunity challenge I'm going to throw mine because I don't want to be a standout challenge threat. And I also have to keep my social game in check so that they will overlook my threat as a challenge beast and keep me because they can trust me.

I just want to make one last confessional since I got the boot . That unanimous vote was kind of nasty but it was also a smart move considering how well I did in blood versus water. I know most of them didn’t know that info being newbies but it’s going to be interesting to see how this season ends up going . I’m personally rooting for Jasmine, Els and Amy. Anyways my time in the game was really short and I guess I’m the first actual boot which is sad but yeah it’s a game ❤️ So gl you guys
