i've started a new minecraft world with complementary shaders (with a lot of settings either as low as they can go or turned off unfortunately cus even my new laptop cant handle it that well) and the vividity resource pack and it does look nice <3

#i wish shaders didnt fuck your computer up so badly #it'd run a good bit better if i turned off realtime shadows and light rays but it looks so much nicer with them #even if theyre just on low #but my laptop hates it #its playable but just not smooth

... how am I meant to get any sort of restful sleep when it's like 85F indoors in my bedroom at NIGHT .. hhhhhhhhhhhhhh

#why the next poll adventure and everything else has taken so long lol.. I straight up have just not done anything #the past few days... staring down my todo list and sweating hopelessly #AT LEAST it;s relatively low humidity. the highest it's been up to is maybe 65%. but is usually around 50 or 40ish #There is one small window air conditioner in a roomate's room that can KIND OF be shared by nailing a sheet up to block off the hallway #with the rooms in it so the cool air goes into the other bedrooms but doesnt flow out into the kitchen or etc but #wjhen it's the time of day that the sun is directly hitting the window & it's like 102F outside even that doesnt help much. to cool 3 rooms #and I always feel like we're going to explode the air conditioner or something running it too much with direct heat on it. sometimes it #smells like hot plastic or whatever ghj.. so it's mostly just.. block off all windows with 5 layers of blankets and cardboard #starting at 10am (meaning.. no indoor light for days basically.. no natural lighting.. time passes weird. hard to determine time of day).#throw water on the bed every night so you sleep in wet sheets and keep your clothes and hair wet at all times. ice. cold drinks. keep a #little fan running pointed directly at you nearly 24/7 even when sleeping with a fan blowing air on you makes your eyes and throat painfull #dry. etc. etc.. and i KNOW people have it worse in plenty of places blah blah. i am just complaining on my little blog that is about me lol #I think the biggest thing about lack of adequate/central air conditioning for me is just the LACK of productivity!!! I am working on games!#and novels!! and so many other crafts. costumes! sculptures!!! things I want to do!!! we all have a limited amount of time on this planet a #nd I have so many goals!! To lose basically 4-5 days straight or producivity - when if I had been able to temperature #control my environment better I could have easily gotten more done because I wouldn't be laying around nuseous and too hot #and sick to do anything all day etc. -- is like.... GRRRRRR... it just feels so senseless.. i could have USEd that time...#Every CEO who has contributed to global warming owes me 1million doallrs to fund my art projects and make up for all the time #I've lost on them due to their stupid bullshit.. also they should be stoned to death in a public square. but redistribute the money FIRST #to everyone on the planet. but especially people who have been affected by floods. fires. etc. etc.#poor people who have limited choice in housing and access to air conditioning. homeless people in cooling centers. people with disabillitie #and health issues that are worse in the heat so the entire future just seems increasingly terrifying for them. etc. etc.#ANYWAY.... eughhhgh.... It can cool down SLIGHTLY at night but the past few nights I have been sleeping in an 81 degree room and I wake up #and first thing in the morning its like 82 by then and I'm so nauseous and nasty feeling... just so so tired of it.. I NEED SNOW #literally not even joking.. snow would heal me. .. oughffff...#AND i got the new nasty stinky poo poo pee pee tumblr dashboard update lol.. e v i l

Does anybody else ever wonder what the lyrics for "Don't Forget" from Deltarune refer to? I like to think that it is actually frisk or chara singing to the player and not to kris or any other character. "And the places that you know seem like fantasy" could very much be referring to Undertale, as the dark world reminds the player of the underground. Also- "don't forget, I'm with you in the dark" could also be referring to frisk or chara, which are still a part of Kris's soul, staying with the player in this new dark world, full of new people who he never got to meet in Undertale. amnesia: the bunker release obviously turning my thoughts to cherished fun guy of a baker's dozen years, amnesiac daniel of mayfair. cherished game of as many years; meanwhile he Has the ranges: tormentor/tormented, good/evil, noble/petty, scaredscaredscared/bold as brass tacks. not to mention ofc his Some Guy ft. a very dramatic nature, a lot of introspection, but not much to show for it. i do love him & he's a great choice for [i want to do fun sketches] which i also did with call on me on loop which happened to be a song i associated permanently w/him, as well as the reason my art tag is corned beef

#clapping cheering etc He Horney #amnesia #atdd #corned beef #daniel of mayfair #just watching someone's playthrough of a:tb so i dunno All the lore yet. hope there'll be more revelations abt things like Dan's Enthusiasm #further context abt the game if you weren't familiar already which: check it out!!! watch a playthrough. or play it yourself #i actually played through a third? half? the game. got stuck on a puzzle in one run then trapped in the water section later lmao....#it's a game from an indie developer & made a big splash & had Lasting Reverberations: survival horror game shift impact; namely #you have No Weapons in amnesia (though you Can kill the kaernk w/a precisely aimed barrel (or box?) or two (this isn't at all obvious))#and Daniel Gets Scared is a big component of the game. an Enemy shows up & blurred tunnel vision + the [DANGER] audio goes off #v fond memory: once yrs ago i was moving a small grandfather clock & hit smack w/like. What *Sounds* Threatening Here....#then realized the reverberation of the chimes was akin to the kind of low ringing of [daniel's Low Sanitymeter] effects #which! the game Tells You to watch your levels therein b/c enemies will find you more easily when your sanity(tm)'s low or nil #turns out this is completely untrue though lol. the player may be impeded b/c daniel's vision is crap & his mobility will cut out as well #but just as it says; enemies Aren't drawn to you any more than they ever are; they just tell you that Knowing the player will feel it lol #and it works perfectly...as well as ofc daniel having like nightmare visions / ambiguous hallucinations if he's feeling too bad lol #gotta solve a puzz son .or turn on the lights; daniel also being afraid of the dark. even though it's like yeah man in general i'd be scare #meanwhile i always forget frictional had already made penumbra games & the penumbheads would be like...scoff. amnesia easy mode #b/c penumbra doesn't give you any light? you do have a flashlight i believe. at least sometimes. but that's more ltd than a lantern #couldn't be danny w/his tinderboxes; candles; torches; etc. laudanum. blowing shit up. daniel is sososo fun to me #and it all comes back around w/pentiment like ''mithraeum....i heard of em'' fr fr lol alchemy....weird science ooo #the universe HATES him: unless it doesn't (daniel & the shadow) local locals HATE him: baron discovers one weird interdimensional trick #for real for real check out some playthrough of amnesia: the dark descent if you haven't ever seen / heard of it. or play it #we'll have a movie night of it....#corned beeeeeeeeeeeef........i'm the same boy i used to be

really didn't realize quite how much i was catering my life to like. my head hurting and also just general body feel for running. until i am like. not doing those things.

#literally like so much shit gets me feeling bad too much fried food too much sugar which sucks bc I love sugar.#variable eating times is ok but I don't think does me well with the other stuff #my phone + florescent lights r always like not great when im already not feeling great but rn the lights r unavoidable #and my self control for phone is bad...#im pretty straightedge generally as well but that's kinda more cuz im a control freak #well ig this stuff is also cuz im a control freak #Anyway having a low grade freakout or whatever and also my head hurts.#Just gotta get home.#I'm like. So lame. Like literally just a few days of increased activity level feel like they make my head like. Hate me. #yesterday i was wandering around the campus where ive resided these last 4 years bc ive banned myself from running until my leg heals #and i was thinking like. what am i gonna miss about this place when i leave? bc im always thinking abt the things i cant wait to get away #from. and its a real short list. ill miss the palm trees bc i never get sick of seeing thrm. theyre so weird #ill miss the yucca. again bc theyre so weird looking. ill miss the way u can see where all the ants r bc in the non human populated areas #there isnt grass everywhere bc desert. ill miss that there r so many birds of prey hanging around. and the road runners and all the lil #lizards. and maybe in an abstract way ill miss being so close to the boarder bc when u live near a boarder boarders feel like bullshit #like staring down the road into another country. idk theres something i like abt that. ill probably also miss being able to run outside #all year long bc in the winter during the day all u need is a light jacket lol. where im going it gets real cold 🥶#maybe ill even miss the constant blue skies. but idk ive always liked a cloudy sky better. makes me think of home haha #ill def miss how convenient my apartment rn is. the loft bed. the low cost. the 5min walk to campus. sigh. but thats pretty much it. i #dont think ill miss anything else. im not really close with anyone. my boss was the reason i came here and she left this school in January #so thats it i guess. i think i stayed a year too long and was not well for a lot of my time here but so it goes #just gotta move to the next place. just gotta pray pray pray that i find an apartment soon. i dont even wanna say anything abt it bc im #afraid to jinx things. even tho thats irrational. like. i just gotta somehow project how good a tenant i am. im so quiet u will never see #me and i never complain abt anything bc i have brain problems. sigh. i cant wait for this transition to b over #im so so so ready to be in a new place doing new things. but at least my energy is back. im back to high energy on little sleep lol #i dont understand how my body functions lmao. somehow when i get a normal amount of sleep it's a sign that i feel awful #unrelated

i remember the people who caught up just as the shop was closing and we were having trouble bexause we had to turn the lights back on and get the keys again from the back and rearrange the boxes so they could see the display and they just kept saying "its just a littlw bother just bear with it" and didnt even give us the exact change we had to reopen the counter and cashier again and they just kept saying its "just a little bother and we can bear with it" i hope that every day they trip and crash on their face

#they always complain abt how we close too early SHUT UP #SORRY WE DONT OPEN UNTIL THE DEAD OF NIGJT LAURA #Its because we alr have our bags outside and every light is off and all the boxes are piled up inside #and they just come and say 'no no no open it i still have to get something'#we cant even say 'we' re closed' bc theyll still grab a product and put it on the counter #Ugh #it just made me angry at how the guy in specific #judt kept saying “whats the price of this whats the price of that”#and then when we asked if he could give the exact payment amount #bc otherwise we'd have to go all the way to the back just to get the keys again an unlock all the lights n doors #he just gave us awhole bill anyway #GAAHHHH #i hate it.#but wer'e low on sales #what can we do?#cant risk losing customers #even the other day ppl kept giving us like 1000 pper bills and we wer running out of change #and som lady got mad bc 'its our job' and why dont we have change #or smn #idk my coworker jus said #but shit bro it tires me out #i might sound selfish but like im also tired dude #i jusgt wanna go home and we'r bout to close but u still try to buy #bro wer'e CLOSED #then they get mad
