It's important to note, while particular kinds of demons will often share similar personality traits, those aren't uniform. And a demon that feeds on a particular kind of emotion doesn't have to be inherently representative of it. Sadism Demons don't have to be cruel. Empathy Daemons don't have to be kind. While some choose to amplify their particular food source of emotion in a person, they can actually absorb that emotion from them instead and help relieve a person of it, if they wish.

Just like humans, demons come with all sorts of personalites, preferences, and goals!

Little headcanon of how the L&DS boys react to the MC getting knocked out when they're in battle together.

Xavier throws his sword to the ground and scoops MC up, cradling them against his chest, rocking slowly back and forward. His forehead is pressed to theirs as he whispers.

"Wake up please. I can't do this again. Wake up. "

Zayne immediately starts taking their vitals, his hands shaking even as he does everything he can to staunch the bleeding. His voice wavers but he won't stop. He can't stop.

"You're going to be OK. Don't be scared, I've got you."

Rafayel drops to his knees and shakes them, trying to pull you back. He is right up in their face, trying to get them to meet his eyes. He ends up cupping their face as his tears fall onto their cheeks.

"No, you can't leave me again. Stay damn it! You have to stay with me."

Sylus skids across the floor to haul them into his arms. He's not gentle, but he is clearly frazzled, eyes blazing and hands everywhere. He's growling down at them.

"Don't you dare Kitten. Open those damn eyes or I swear I will end you myself. Look at me!"
