It's me I'm the person who thought Ciel noSurge DX for switch never came out because I stopped hearing about it so I never pursued it.

I have gone through SO MANY Trails games with my brother (they're not really my cup of tea but he loves them and I do want to spend time with him sometimes) for the deal we made that he would one day translate for me / play Ciel noSurge* with me if I spent time with him on Trails games.

I suffered through Rean Schwarzer (for 4.3334 games, which should have been 2.33333 games at the most tbh), and if I can hang out with my friend Ionasal kkll Preciel (who I may want to date 👀) as a result, it will all have been worth it.

Yes at some point we're gonna do Dangan Ronpa V3 as well (that's the name of it right?) because I hear the US localization... leaves a lot to be desired.

Ys III: Wanderers From Ys

Yeah, Ys III wasn't good. It's amazing just how much better Oath in Felghana was than this in pretty much every way. This plays like a bad combination of Zelda 2 and Castlevania, but with an absolutely untenable amount of grinding. The worst Ys I've played yet.

Listening to some Ys music version comparisons and I can’t believe the Taito Ys 3 remake and Oath in Felghana came out in the same year??? Like.... One of these is a beloved game often considered one of best games in the franchise, if not the best And the other is like a worse version of the SNES port It’s just very impressive to me

ok so, you answered this ask yesterday saying that "your problem is that you see your being in 3D and 4D as separate, that's why you have the sensation of daydreaming - you need to understand that consciousness is one and your being is one." i understand consciousness is one bc rn I'm aware of what I do in the 3D, but my mind can wander wherever like rn -> I am AWARE of both 3D and 4D so ok

but for 3D and 4D idk how to navigate this, bc, we're told if ur 3D SP is doing so and so, just be indifferent knowing in 4D he's like so and so... so this is why I've been separating both too. reading Edward he's talking about how rn there's a me experiencing my desire, so I can go on and try to see how this version of me is living it, I go within and visualize -> but it seems daydreaming bc I see how I could be experiencing it and rn I am doing it in my mind. I am aware 3D me don't have & higher self/other version of me has it in 4D bc I can literally see it. do you think my problem all boils down to identification ?

hi!!! well yes, i think your problem is one of identification. from your description it looks like you see your version in 4D as a separate being and by doing so, you identify yourself as your 3D version of yourself that is only daydreaming.

you are not supposed to separate the two, live with the knowledge that you have one consciousness that has already decided that it has its desire and found it to be true, therefore it neutralizes the contradictory circumstances to it in 3D(false world). you are one, consciousness is one so when you decide you have your desire you become the person who has it.

you can treat 3D like watching a movie with the knowledge of what the ending is - so you neutralize all the circumstances because you know you are already the person who has it/who know the end.

putting your sp above yourself is tantamount to not seeing yourself as a god/creator and giving it "free will"(which doesn't exist because it will still show you your own assumptions about the person/situation). by treating anyone in your reality as someone above yourself/better than yourself or whatever - you position yourself as a victim and not a creator. these people seem so special because you are the special one and you gave them that meaning.

Shiren the Wanderer (originally on the SNES but re-released on the DS)

It's a Mystery Dungeon game not dissimilar from the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, but instead about a ronin who simply goes on adventures. Like the Ys series, it's episodic and there is no need to play in a specific order. Since I like episodic games like that, and I discovered a love of MD games after playing PKMD, and I like roguelikes in general and have since way back in the text-based era of gaming, it's pretty up my alley.

Be warned it is significantly less forgiving than PKMD. The challenge dungeons in PKMD where you start at level 1 with no items and there is no saving progress, you either do it in one or you start over from the beginning? Yeah, that's the *entire game*.
