नीरजा फुटपाथ स्कूल गरीब बच्चों को प्लास्टिक के बदले मुफ्त शिक्षा दे रहा है

कहा जाता है कि ज्ञान को बांटने से ही वह बढ़ता है, और नीरजा सक्सेना इस कहावत की जिंदा मिसाल हैं। गाज़ियाबाद के इंदिरापुरम क्षेत्र में पिछले कई सालों से नीरजा फुटपाथ स्कूल का संचालन हो रहा है, जहां गरीब और उन्नति की इच्छा रखने वाले बच्चों से फीस के बदले प्लास्टिक वस्तुओं को मांगा जाता है। नीरजा सक्सेना, जो एक एनटीपीसी के पूर्व कार्यालयी प्रमुख हैं, पर्यावरण प्रेमी होने के साथ-साथ प्लास्टिक अपशिष्ट के खतरे के प्रति भी जागरूकता फैला रही हैं।

नीरजा सक्सेना ने अपने जीवन का एक उद्देश्य बना लिया है, जो है बच्चों को उत्कृष्ट शिक्षा प्रदान करना। नीरजा के फुटपाथ स्कूल में छात्र-छात्राओं का स्वागत सुबह 10:30 बजे होता है। स्कूल 12:30 बजे तक चलता है, जहां वह अपने छात्रों को शिक्षा के साथ-साथ सभी महत्वपूर्ण जीवन ग्यान भी देना चाहती हैं, जो उनके जीवन में उपयोगी हो सकता है। इससे बच्चों का व्यक्तित्व विकसित होता है और उनकी जीवन में अनुशासन आता है।

नीरजा स्कूल के छात्रों को गायत्री मंत्र, राष्ट्रीय गीत, हिंदी और अंग्रेजी में प्रार्थना, शपथ, और राष्ट्रगान गाने का आयोजन किया जाता है। अगर किसी छात्र को कुछ समझने में कोई समस्या होती है तो उसे अलग समय देकर उनकी समस्या को हल करने में भी मदद की जाती है।

कैसे शुरू किया नीरजा फुटपाथ स्कूल

नीरजा सक्सेना ने साल 2019 में एनटीपीसी से सेवानिवृत्त हो गई थीं, और इसके कुछ महीने बाद ही पूरी दुनिया में कोरोना महामारी ने हलचल मचा दी थी। कोरोना के कारण, लोग अपने घरों में बंद हो गए थे। नीरजा ने DNN24 को बताया कि "उस समय, मैं टीवी देख रही थी और देखा कि कोरोना काल में भी लोग काम कर रहे हैं। यह दृश्य मुझे बहुत प्रेरित किया और मैं सोचने लगी कि मैं भी कुछ कर सकती हूँ।"

नीरजा ने बताया कि अन्नदान महादान समूह लोगों को ऑनलाइन खाना उपलब्ध कराता है, लेकिन कोरोना काल में अन्नदान महादान बंद हो गया। कोरोना महामारी के दौरान, अन्नदान महादान ने लोगों से मिले डोनेशन की मदद से लोगों को खाना बांटना शुरू किया, और इस संघर्ष में नीरजा भी उनके साथ जुड़ गईं।
