not to be nosey but what's going on with the groomsman from the wedding?
lol well 😂 you are always welcome to be nosey, if i don't want to answer i just won't reply.
ummm not much is going on? mike went back to the chicago suburb he's from and i immediately went on my trip to india. but we've been texting back and forth every day and have talked on the phone pretty frequently. i'm headed to italy on saturday so we'll be in different timezones again.
he's Very Nice, like, it's kind of mind boggling how sweet he is? i am not used to this, most people i've ever been attracted to are v sarcastic and have kind of a biting sense of humor, but he's just. v sincere. it's different but i'm a fan.
i don't really expect this to go anywhere, and honestly most of the conversations are pretty casual with just like, the smallest hint of flirting. he lives pretty far away, but it's nice to have someone new to talk to who's engaged in the conversation and very responsive. he sends like—multi-paragraph texts which is soooo different from what i'm used to and i'm never really waiting around for long periods of time for him to respond (the longest gap in our texting was probably my first day in india and we literally just figured out earlier this week that he didn't get any of the texts i sent him that day bc my int'l data was being weird). but otherwise it's just. nice. fun. i am enjoying myself and that's really all i can ask for rn lol

Daddy Ricciardo
Tumblr media
Just some Danny Ric marriage/parent headcannons. Fluffy AF
Have you ever met somebody so in love with their girlfriend that it consumes their entire being?
Well, if you're friends with Daniel Ricciardo, you certainly have
Daniel was utterly obsessed with Y/N when they were dating
He brought her along to every race and showed her off whenever he got the chance
Any Y/N fan pages were probably run by him
Daniel was obviously a man who couldn't wait to get married
Especially to Y/N
You know that bit from The Office when Jim shows off the ring he got the moment he and Pam start dating?
That would have been Danny if he got the chance on drive to survive
No, Daniel got the ring on their six month anniversary
He already knew she was the one
But six months felt like the perfect timing
He didn't propose right away
Things kept getting in the way
But then, there was the perfect storm
Y/N had just come to watch a race
She hadn't been to the last one and had hardly been on the phone to him
Danny thought something was wrong
When she came to the race, Daniel was overjoyed
But then, in the hotel room after the race, she'd gone all serious
"Danny, I've got something to tell you. But I need you to promise me one thing," she said, grabbing a hold of his hands
"Anything," he replied, utterly concerned
Y/N sucked in a deep breath, calming her nerves
"Don't freak out."
When she told him, Daniel didn't freak out
He took in the information silently
Why would he freak out?
This was going to be the best day of his life
Two little words, that was all Y/N had said to him
Two words with so much weight to them
When Y/N was done and looking ready to start crying, Daniel slipped from the bed and pulled the ring box out of his pocket
He got down onto one knee and opened it
"You've just made me the happiest man in the world. Want to make me slightly happier and marry me?"
Y/N found a dress, her dream dress
Three weeks before the wedding, that dress no longer fit
The joys of being pregnant
Sobbing, Y/N made her mother take her shopping for a new dress
Before the wedding, at the rehearsal, Daniel had said he wasn't going to get drunk
If his soon to be wife couldn't drink, then he wouldn't either
But Y/N had insisted
Her soon to be husband was cute when he was drunk
So, Daniel had a few
He had more as the reception went on
Max and Christian were there, drinking alongside him
By the end of the night, Y/N was sat at the table, hand on her bump, cheeks rosy as she laughed at Daniel
He had pulled Max in for a dance and the Dutchman couldn't say no
He literally couldn't say no, because drunk Daniel wasn't listening
The honeymoon was gorgeous, like a dream
They went to the Maldives, stayed in a luxury resort
Four months later, Y/N was going into labour
It was, quite frankly, terrifying
Fifteen hours later, Charlie Ricciardo was born
He was his fathers pride and joy
Where Daniel used to show off Y/N, he now showed off Charlie and Y/N
His camera roll was all pictures of Y/N and his son
As Charlie got older, they started taking him to the races
He had little headphones to wear as the cars went around the circuit
He'd wave (aka, Y/N would hold him on her hip and wave his hand for him when his daddy came into the pits)
Charlies first word was car
Daniel was driving at the time, during free practice
He was so pissed that he missed it
Daniel was the fun parent
He was the one who let Charlie stay up past his bed time and let him have chocolate and fizzy drinks
In moderation, of course
But then Charlie did something scary
"Mummy, I want a brother," he said
Y/N couldn't reply
She had to turn around and pour herself a glass of wine
So, he asked his father
Daniel was so happy to hear it
If Charlie wanted a sibling, he was going to get a sibling
So, Daniel brought it up with Y/N
"Danny, no," she said the moment he suggested it. "When I was pregnant with Charlie and you were travelling for work, I was struggling so much without you. I can't do that again"
Daniel tucked some hair behind her ear
"Don't worry, Angel. I can talk to Christian and get the last few months of your pregnancy off," he said. "Keep you and Charlie travelling with me until then"
That sounded amazing to Y/N
She loved her little family and it only seemed to be growing
She jumped onto her husband
"Get ready for the night of your life, honey badger"

Tumblr media
You swore under your breath as the taxi pulled away, leaving you staring at the monstrosity you were meant to be staying in for the weekend.
“This is the last time I leave that jackass in charge of anything,” you muttered, prompting a snort from Eddie, who stood beside you.
You liked Steve. Loved him even, in the way that friends that have known each other for years did, who’d seen each other at their worst, thick as thieves, none of that ‘will they or won’t they’ shit, especially after you started seeing Eddie. But in that moment, you could strangle him.
Most of your group of friends had scattered to the four corners of the country, so when you all received your invitations to Joyce Byers’ and Jim Hopper’s wedding in the Smoky Mountains, you decided to rent a whole house instead of getting hotel rooms. Correction: Steve came up with the idea to rent a house, and admittedly it was a good plan. It would likely be cheaper to pool your resources, and you could all hang out in the common areas and catch up.
And then you saw the house.
It was a stereotype in peeling paint and dilapidated wood. The porch was creaky and appeared to be on the verge of collapse. Gnarled old vines and weeds encroached from every direction; you thought maybe it had been landscaped last sometime in the 1960s. A broken old fountain sat on the front lawn, with a scummy green puddle of rainwater gathered at the bottom, and there was a broken gate that hung loose on its hinges near the drive.
Eddie tilted his head in a manner reminiscent of a terrier as he surveyed the old structure. “I think it looks kinda cool, like that house in IT. The house on Neibolt Street, remember?”
You blinked at your paramour. “Yeah, but that doesn’t mean I want to spend the weekend in a house like that. It’s one thing to read about it in a spooky story, it’s another thing to actually sleep there.” He had the good grace to laugh at that sentiment.
“Fair enough,” he conceded.
Of all the houses in Asheville, Tennessee, THIS is the one he chooses? You thought bitterly as you made your way up the walkway toward the porch, stepping carefully on the worn wood and looking for nails that could be lying in wait to impale your foot.
You had no idea if anyone else had already arrived, and whether you were supposed to knock or just walk in. You had decided to try the former, but your knuckles hadn’t had a chance to make contact with the wood before the door was whipped open, revealing a clearly exasperated Robin.
“Omigosh you’re here!” she cried joyfully as she threw her arms around you. You let your weekend bag drop to the porch as you reciprocated the hug.
“Robin! I’m so glad to see you!” you cooed as you gave her a good squeeze then released her. “But what the hell is this house?”
“Right?! I feel like it’s right out of a Scoobie Doo episode or something. Talk about creepy. Eddie! Hi!”
“I’ve seen worse,” a deeper voice intoned from out of eyesight, shortly before Steve stepped into the foyer.
“Steve! It’s lovely to see you, but what the fuck?” you scolded.
Steve’s expression was so sheepish that you couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
“I know, I know,” he moaned, before putting his face in his hands.
“Come here and hug me, loser. I haven’t seen you in almost two years and you’re gonna make me sleep in the house from Amityville Horror?”
“Hey now,” Robin countered, “The Amityville Horror house was waaay nicer than this.”
“True. Eddie said it looked like the house from IT.”
“Oooh yes! That fits,” Robin said.
“What’s that? It?” Steve asked, never one to embrace pop culture.
You hugged Steve despite wanting to hurt him a little bit. “Nevermind. So what were you thinking with this house?”
“Okay so in my defense the pictures were much nicer in the Want Ad, and in black and white. I didn’t realize it was going to be so…”
“Shabby?” you offered while Robin said “terrifying” at the same time.
“Yeah,” Steve said with a shrug.
Eddie chuckled as he hugged his friends by way of greeting.  “Alright well, as long as the bed is clean, I don't really care,” he said. “This one is scared of spiders,” he said, gesturing toward you.
“I am not, you are!” you yelled.
“I am NOT afraid of spiders,” Eddie replied defensively. “It’s those fucking centipede things with all the legs. I hate those things.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’m sure there are plenty of things in this house to trigger all our phobias.”
The interior was a little less gloomy than its exterior, but that wasn’t saying much. The common room in which you were standing was decorated in 50 year-old wallpaper that was peeling and yellowing. The floors were hard wood but hadn’t been refinished since the wallpaper was installed, and the dusty old upholstery was flat and worn around the edges.
“Where are we sleeping, anyway?”
“There’s three bedrooms, one with a queen and two with a pair of singles. I figured we could draw straws or someth–”
“Dibs on the queen!” Eddie shouted.
“Eddie, we have to–” you began.
“Nah babe. We’re a couple, and we got here first. You snooze, you lose.”
“I think that’s fair,” Robin said with a shrug.
“Nancy and Jonathan won’t love that,” Steve said. “But you can fight it out amongst yourselves. I’m staying out of it. Looks like you’re bunking with me, Robin.”
“I don’t care, as long as you don’t snore.”
Tumblr media
Nancy and Jonathan arrived about an hour later, and while they weren’t thrilled to be relegated to a pair of twin beds, they conceded that Eddie did in fact call dibs.
“I feel like we’re eighteen again,” Nancy laughed as she explored the kitchen for a clean glass for water. “Calling dibs and bunking up together. Feels like old times.”
“It does,” you agreed from where you were leaning against the counter. “I don’t know if I would use any of the dishes in this house though.”
“I might just make a store run, get some solo cups and paper plates,” she said as she put one grimy glass back in the cupboard with a look of distaste. “Any requests?”
“Oooh, cheez-its, snapple peach tea, pizza pretzel combos…”
“PBR,” Eddie contributed as he sidled up next to you and bent to give you a quick peck on the lips.
“Well of course,” Nancy said with a smile. “Can’t forget the beer.”
Robin poked her head into the room. “Grab a couple of pizzas! I’ll give you cash.”
You all pitched in for the snacks and sent Nancy on her way as the sun began its descent behind the trees. The rest of you gathered in the living room to figure out what to do for the night.
“Care for a toke?” Eddie asked, as he held up a joint he pulled from his jacket and set it alight.
“Yessss,” Jonathan replied with enthusiasm, leaning forward to pinch the little joint between his fingers.
“That didn’t take long,” Steve said with a roll of his eyes.
“Lighten up, Harrington,” Jonathan said in a fragrant plume of exhalation, stifling a cough. “You could probably use this more than the rest of us. You’re too wound up.”
“It’s true Steve, why are you always so stressed out?” you asked, taking a pull from the joint.
“I don’t know, I just feel like I’m the responsible one–” he began, but was cut off by a chorus of jeers and naysaying.
“You think you’re the responsible one, but everyone knows it’s Nancy,” Robin said, laughing.
“Yeah man, like…the King Steve days are over, you can stop trying so hard,” Eddie added with a grin.
“Okay, okay, I get it…” Steve said, accepting his ribbing with a modicum of grace. His voice trailed off, however, as his attention was pulled in another direction. “Hey what’s that?”
“What?” you and Jonathan asked at the same time, following his gaze.
“It’s on top of that bookshelf…” he began, already getting up and walking toward it. He had to stand on the tips of his toes to reach it, and pulled it down, unleashing a cloud of dust and grime.
“What is it?” Eddie asked.
Steve brushed the dust off the cover before looking up at you with wide eyes.
“It’s a ouija board,” he said.
“Oh shit,” Eddie said, laughing. "You can't be serious."
“What! No, no thank you!” Robin yelled.
“I dunno man, you might want to put that back and pretend you never saw it,” Jonathan added with a smirk.
“What, nah, that stuff isn’t real,” you said.
“No, it’s not,” Steve agreed. “It’s just a silly game.”
“If it’s just a silly game,” Eddie taunted, "why don’t we take it for a spin?”
“Oh man, no, don’t give him any ideas,” Robin piped in with her trademarked ‘mile-a-minute’ cadence. “Did you see the movie Witchboard? Well I did, and I didn’t sleep for a week afterward. Too scary for me. And it’s kinda weird that that thing just shows up in the spookiest house I’ve ever seen, and we’re in the middle of nowhere and…”
“What’s Witchboard?” Steve asked.
“Dude, watch a movie…” Eddie moaned while Jonathan doubled-over laughing.
Steve laid the box down on the coffee table. “Well, just because there was a movie about these things doesn’t make them real. The Princess Bride isn’t exactly real either.”
Eddie gasped with mock incredulity. “It’s NOT?”
“Have fun NOT storming the castle I guess,” Jonathan tried to say without laughing, which came out as a choked squeal.
“Inconceivable!” you yelled, making the entire room erupt in hearty laughter and dispelling some of the unease that had grown since the discovery of the ouija board.
“Jesus guys, are you that stoned already?” Steve asked with a smile.
“Eddie only buys the good stuff,” you said.
“Zero to zooted within three hits, or your money back,” Eddie said before taking another pull from the joint.
“Good to know,” Steve said sarcastically. “So are you guys gonna play with this thing or not?”
“Fine fine,” you said. “Eddie, let’s do this.”
He agreed, and you sat on the floor on either side of the coffee table. You opened the box, took out its contents, and each placed the index finger of your right hand gently on the planchette. You sat silent for a moment, not doing or saying anything, unsure of where to begin.
“Uhhhh,” Eddie said before dissolving into giggles.
“Ask it something!” Robin whispered, leaning forward in her excitement.
“Okay, uh…” you began, pausing to think. “Is there anybody here with us right now?”
It seemed like the entire room held its breath with anticipation.
“Is there anyone here in this house?” you repeated.
The silence ticked onward.
“Well this is thrilling,” Jonathan said with a snort.
“Give it a minute,” Steve said.
“Thought you didn’t believe in this stuff, Stevarino,” Eddie teased.
“I don’t, but–”
You thought you felt the planchette move ever so slightly.
“Wait!” you gasped. “Did you feel that?”
“No, wait. Maybe?” Eddie whispered.
You sat motionless for a beat, but nothing happened. You began to think that it was your imagination when…
….suddenly the front door banged open with a loud smash, and every single person in the room screamed like a banshee.
“Jesus, guys!” Nancy said as she struggled to hold several brown paper grocery bags. “A little help here?”
“Oh fuck, sorry babe,” Jonathan said, and the rest of you sheepishly got up to help, leaving the ouija board on the table. You bustled into the kitchen to put things away and pop open cans of beer, laughing about the silly jump scare you’d all just shared.
What none of you saw, however, was the planchette on the ouija board slide over to ‘hello.’

AITA for abruptly cutting off a friend after agreeing to sing at her wedding when she wouldn’t let my bf attend?
So this is from a few years ago but I honestly still can’t wrap my mind around whether or not I was in the wrong here. I (23M) was friends with “Lisa” (21) (fake name ofc) for around five years. I liked her and cared about her but never thought of us as super close, but she definitely felt a lot more attached to me.
Eventually she got a boyfriend, “Jim.” He’s straight, but flirted with me constantly “as a joke.” He did it in front of Lisa so it wasn’t behind her back or anything, and for the most part I always belied that it was all jokes and would even play into it for the bit. Since he’s straight and Lisa seemed to find it entertaining I honestly didn’t think twice about it. Then after a few months of this, one night we were all hanging out and they propositioned me.
They asked point blank if I wanted to have a threesome. I’m very openly bi and have had threesomes before, which Lisa knew about, but I was not interested in the slightest. I’m not attracted to either of them and I was kind of taken aback because I was so sure all the flirting wasn’t serious bc of Jim’s orientation.
They were super into the idea and I was kinda icked out. I kind of laughed it off and didn’t express my discomfort bc I was kind of shocked. Later on I told Lisa that it made me kind of uncomfortable, and to their credit the flirting stopped.
Fast forward a few months and I had to move, and they very enthusiastically offered up their help. I gladly accepted their help bc I was pretty overwhelmed tbh, and I suck at assembling furniture. On moving day they brought me a FUCK TON of housewarming gifts. A set of 10 Mugs, plates, coasters, and decorations. I was super grateful for their help with the move and all the gifts but I was also a little uncomfortable, I really don’t like it when people spend money on me.
I’m a fairly okay singer and Lisa had mentioned wanting me to sing at her wedding way before she even met Jim and I told her I would love to. During moving day she tells me their engaged and formerly asks me to be their singer. I say yes, of course, because at this point I still had warm feelings towards them and after all their help and the gifts I feel like I owed them.
Fast forward another few months, around 9 months before the wedding. Lisa and I are on the phone and I ask about wedding plans and offhandedly mention something about my boyfriend to which Lisa informs me I am not allowed a plus one, and added it was especially because I hadn’t known him for very long at that point.
When I try to ask her if she could reconsider letting him attend, she brought up all the kind stuff she and Jim did for me, (moving help, gifts). This honestly really hurt my feelings, and I didn’t want to go to their wedding alone. Even though the flirting had stopped, there was a part of me that was nervous at the prospect of being alone with Lisa and Tim, and I was honestly kind of sick of how clingy she could be at times. She would call me almost every day.
This is where I think I’m in the wrong: after a few days of mulling it over, I tell Lisa I’m not going to the wedding, and I don’t want to be her friend anymore. I bring up that one time they propositioned me and how this made me feel uncomfortable going with my boyfriend. This takes her completely by surprise, and “breaks her heart”, according to her own words. She thought I was being manipulative for bringing up the threesome offer.
I felt terrible for hurting her feelings and I realized I probably came across as super cold in how eager I was to just cut off the friendship. I also understand that this was her wedding and she had every right not to want someone she didn’t know very well there. I can’t drive and their wedding was two hours away from me, so I offered a compromise that my bf would just drive me there and just attend the reception or even just wait at a hotel somewhere if they were really adamant about not having him there at all.
She vehemently refused, and said they’d pay for a train ticket instead. I told her no, and I didn’t want to talk to her ever again. I feel like I was being over dramatic, and I do genuinely feel bad for hurting her. As bad as I felt for dropping her, I really didn’t like how they expected me to travel hours away from home without my partner, and I can’t say I miss her all that much. AITA?
What are these acronyms?

Anyone else kinda fascinated to know what the ghosts lives with Heather was like before her death?
We know she had no kids, no nieces or nephews. If she had a husband then he clearly died years earlier and given that when Julian dies she's just sat alone for hours I doubt he was around then.
She was born into money but didn't seem to have a lot by the end given that the house was in disrepair and there didn't seem to be any signs of a big care team around to support her in her last days. How long did it take for her to be found? She must have had someone go in to check on her. But given that Alison only inherited the house, no money, presumably she either gave what she had to charity or there was nothing to give.
The ghosts care about her enough to all be there when she dies so she's not alone. Kitty likes her enough to hope that she'll stay.
But I get the sense she didn't really "live" in that house all that much. She didn't seem to put any effort into leaving her mark decorating wise. During her time we only ever see it used for events like the Tory fundraiser and Pat's archery. The ghosts all seem to have missed a lot of events that would have been seen on TV like the moon landings and even just knowing about Friends as a show so I don't think Heather watched a lot of TV.
It must have been very quiet and lonely but they all just got used to it for all those years and having the house mostly to themselves bar the odd event which would be exciting but not overwhelming.
So when Alison and Mike come along with the idea of turning it into a hotel, Robin asks Julian what a hotel is and of course Julian is going to explain based on HIS experience of nights in hotels - people coming and going having sex and parties. Julian wouldn't have brought up the positive things that go on in hotels like the events, the big group talks and clubs, the weddings and dances etc.
Of course they're gonna hate the idea of having the privacy and space they've had for sixty years or more disrupted by randoms invading their rooms constantly.
But of course that's not what they really end up.
And I wish we'd just spent some time seeing that in the ending, having the ghosts realise that it wasn't as bad as they feared, like sure it's not as good as living with Alison all the time but it shouldn't have been down to Jim assuring the audience in an interview that the ghosts would be OK and would go on "many adventures".

Heart and Li Ming spend five years in the US, learning and working and loving and when Heart graduates and when Li Ming is ready they start planning their move back to Thailand but first they want to get married. Legally.
Heart's parents help pay to fly Jim and Wen over with them and Tong and Jam come as well and the wedding is beautiful and everyone cries and laughs and celebrates.
And then at the reception Li Ming pulls Jim and Wen aside and asks them how they feel and brings them to a little room with the officiant that married him and Heart and asks, simply...
"Do you want to get married too?"
And it turns out he'd been preparing this the whole time as well, a second little ceremony just for his uncles so that they can have the same thing that he does.
In a tiny room in a hotel to the sounds of his nephew's wedding being celebrated Jim marries Wen and they sign a piece of paper and there are no rings but that doesn't matter and they kiss as husband and husband before rejoining their family in the party.
(The wedding certificate ends to inside the food truck because they spend more time there than at home and everyone loves the rings they pick out together back in Thailand. )

Idk if you plan to make the story long enough to see this, but…. What would any of our boxer boys look like on their wedding day? What would they be like on the day they find out they're going to be dads for the first time? Or what would they be like holding their baby for the first time?
okay so I don't think the actual series is going to be long enough to reach those points, but here are some baby blurbs about it instead :)
p.s. this is so long, I'm sorry I went overboard
wedding:
Bradley would not be having the greatest day ever, if we're being honest. everyone was very firm on the tradition that he and Toots can't see each other until the first look so they spent the night apart and Bradley is going through withdrawal. the photographer was taking pictures of all the groomsmen getting ready and she was like "...do you...want to smile?" because Bradley's just getting ready with a big ol' frown.
honestly, Bradley isn't really smiling in any of the photos but there's a stark difference between his glower and borderline pout and the small twitch of his lips and the look of pure love in his eyes when he gets to see Toots finally.
Bradley literally has three friends and he'd eat glass before admitting that two of them are Bob and Jake, so Natasha is his best (wo)man.
Toots wanted a pretty fancy looking wedding, it'd be in the autumn, probably in the ballroom of a nice hotel. their first dance would be to "My Girl" by The Temptations (it was Bradley's idea, don't tell anyone).
Jake would 100% be bridezilla. like Angel's just thanking all of the staff and Jake's about to hyperventilate because he definitely requested baby blue napkins and those are light blue and now the theme is off and the wedding is ruined. but that would all come to a screeching halt when something actually does end up going wrong with Angel's dress and (it's basically that scene from Pam and Jim's wedding because I think it's the cutest thing ever) Jake's like "fuck tradition, my girl needs me" so they don't have a photographed first look but Angel takes a mental picture. everything goes smoothly after that and Jake has half a bow tie.
if everyone thought Jake was annoying before, at the reception he's a thousand times worse. anytime Angel is away from him, he's talking to people like "see that girl over there? the one who looks like heaven on earth? that's my wife!" and Bradley's like "....literally every single person here know that".
obviously Javy is his best man and Harley is the ring bearer.
they have a summer wedding, probably at the beach and then the reception is in a big grassy area looking out on the ocean with a big white tent. their first dance would be to "Dancing in the Moonlight" by Toploader.
Bob would be so nervous, like Mickey's just holding a hairdryer to his pits and yelling over it "you're fine, Bo! It's gonna be fine, you got this!" finally Adler gives him a little pep talk and Bob feels like he's ready. 100% he cries when when Sweet Pea walks down the aisle. they both decided to write their own vows and his put Shakespeare to shame.
people don't really hear Bob laugh that often, so everyone's in for a surprise when he's giggling the entire reception. like he's laughing the loudest at all the speeches and everyone's like "???" but Bob would just turn to Sweet Pea every few seconds and whisper (very loudly) "you're my wife! Mickey just called you my wife!" Sweet Pea literally has to figure out how to eat with her non-dominant hand because Bob refuses to let go of her other one.
Mickey's his best man and Eloise bakes their wedding cake.
Sweet Pea wanted a cottagecore wedding, Bob said "I don't know what that means, but whatever you want" and it's in the spring in a really pretty flower garden. their first dance is to "I Am Yours" by Andy Grammer.
when they're gonna be dads:
Bradley finds out via a gift bag Toots made for him. like he pulls out a couple bibs and is like "your gift to me is that you're gonna stop being a messy eater? these look a little small for you" and Toots is like 😐 but she knew this was gonna happen she has another box that's more obvious. and Bradley looks at it for like a minute before he goes "really?" and Toots is like "yeah" and Bradley says "I'm gonna be a dad?" Toots is like "yeah" and Bradley looks at the box again and then covers his eyes with his hand.
Toots starts freaking out internally like "is he disappointed? does he not want a baby?" and then she finally realizes that Bradley's crying and so she's like "it's okay, don't cry" and hugs him, but now his head is against her chest and he can stare at her stomach, and he kind of wipes his eyes and is like "our baby's in there?" and Toots kisses the top of his head, "our baby's in there" and the rest of the day is spent with his hands on her stomach and Bradley refusing to let Toots do anything.
(everything's fine until Bradley wakes up in a cold sweat that night because he's always loved their size difference, but now Toot's is gonna have to push his big ass baby out of her tiny ass body and Toots has to sign them up for birthing classes together just to get him to go back to bed)
honestly, I don't see Angel and Jake having kids. Angel's got a lot of family stuff that just makes her anxious about even the idea and Jake's always been pretty impartial to the idea of kids, so they both agree that children aren't in the cards for them. they've probably had one or two pregnancy scares though, so Angel's probably had to tell Jake that he's not gonna be a dad.
"negative?" he'd be waiting in the bedroom while Angel does her thing and she nods "negative" at which point Jake gets up and is like "hell yeah! high five!" and Angel just looks at him before giving him a begrudging high five.
"thanks, guys! makin' daddy proud!"
"please don't refer to yourself as 'daddy' when you're talking to your testicles."
Sweet Pea does the "bun in the oven" one, like she asks Bob if he'd take what she was baking out of the oven for her and a minute later Bob's walking into the living room all confused like "did you bake this? it looks bought? also the oven wasn't even on" and Sweet Pea just looks at him expectantly and Bob's like "what? I don't get it. should I know why you put a bun in the oven.... wait—" and Bob literally drops the bun like "are you serious?" and Sweet Pea nods excitedly like "you're gonna be a dad, Bobby!"
Bob doesn't even know what to do with himself, he's hugging Sweet Pea and then pulling away to look at her tummy and then hugging her again. he definitely talks to Sweet Pea's stomach the whole day regardless of if she's showing yet or not and he calls the baby "pea".
when they hold their baby:
so Bradley and Toots have a girl because how could I deprive you of girl dad Bradley Bradshaw? and luckily she took after her mom more in terms of size so the birth wasn't as strenuous as Bradley had been freaking out over. but everything went smoothly and baby Bradshaw is perfectly healthy.
Bradley never told Toots this, but he was kind of worried their baby might be scared of him. like he's big and intimidating and babies don't really like him all that much, so he was expecting his baby to not like him either. with everything going on, he's able to evade holding his daughter for a while. though he obviously wants to, he way too scared she'll hate him to try. but he can escape it no longer when Toots is sleeping and (I named her Caroline after Carol but baby names are so strongly divided so name her whatever you want lol) baby Bradshaw is starting to get fussy.
obviously Toots needs her rest so Bradley kind of bites the bullet and picks his daughter up for the first time and he waits for her to just burst out crying, because that's what usually happens with him and babies, but instead she starts cooing and she smiles at him. and Bradley just watches in awe as she wraps her little hands around one of his fingers, before starting to fall asleep herself (our girl's had a big day today). after that, people literally couldn't pry her from Bradley's cold, dead hands.
as previously stated, Jake and Angel don't have kids so I'll write about when Jake adopted Harley lmao. just for funsies, let's say he went to the same shelter that Toots works at! and if we're being honest, he wants a dog, but he also kinda wants a scary looking one for the aesthetic. so when he sees a listing for a doberman puppy, Jake's intrigued.
he was kind of looking for an older dog, but Jake thought he'd check him out anyway. as he's walking with the volunteer, they kind of warn him that Harley's (or I guess in the shelter he was called Ajax) friendly when he warms up to people but he's usually a little shy in the first couple minutes of visiting. they also encourage Jake to sit on the floor to appear less intimidating. so Jake was fully not prepared for this puppy to hesitantly pad into the room, see him, and then bolt straight for him, wriggle under his shirt and pop out the neck hole to greet Jake excitedly.
obviously, Jake had to adopt him.
when he took him home for the first time, Jake was still on the fence about the name Ajax. the shelter said that he didn't really know it so Jake could change it if he wanted to. he shows the puppy around his place and they get to the garage and he's sniffing all around Jake's motorcycle and Jake's like "you like motorcycles?" because day one he's already having conversations with his dog "yeah, me too. one day I'm gonna get a Harley-Davidson" and the puppy just perks up and starts wagging his tail and propping himself up on Jake's leg. and, thus, Harley.
baby Floyd would be a boy (bugs name of choice: Noah, like The Notebook). baby boy's also very happy and healthy and there were no complications with his birth.
Bob grew up with just his mom, so he's been having a few inner spirals about whether or not he even knows how to be a dad. Sweet Pea always reassures him that he'll be a wonderful dad and the man went out and bought every parenting book every written and has them highlighted and annotated, Sweet Pea's like "our kid is gonna be so lucky to have you as their dad".
Bob keeps it together while Sweet Pea's holding baby Pea, they're all crammed in the hospital bed just cooing and looking at each other. but when Sweet Pea truly can't fight her exhaustion anymore Bob takes baby Floyd from her and starts whispering about all the things he's gonna do with him that he never got to do with his own dad and making all these promises that he wished his dad made for him. and it's definitely bittersweet, but Bob knows he isn't going to make his dad's mistakes and that his son is going to grow up with a father who loves him.
and, like he understood what his dad was saying, baby boy puts his hand on Bob's chest to explore the feeling of his t-shirt — right where Bob's heart it. and Bob smiles and settles back in his chair.
"hey pea, let's play 20 questions while momma sleeps, yeah?"

So kinda a Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss!Spirk AU
Spock is Stolas
Jim is a mix between Blitz/Angel Dust
Spock is royalty, the youngest of many siblings and therefore not overwhelmingly important
It is his birthday and his father tells him of his responsibilities and that he is to be wed - poor Spock must've let it be known he was unhappy as his father quickly decides to take him to the circus, it'll distract the boy from the lifelong commitment serek had made
Kirk is a performer under his stepdad, he isn't the best but he puts on a show
Spock doesn't have a good time as he doesn't like the circus, that is a childish pursuit and his father should've known better until a young clown is pushed into the ring and performs his subpar trick
Spock actually chuckles at the joke that Jim speaks as it is factual and clever
Serek notices this and rents Jim for his son
Jim is ordered by stepdad to steal anything he can and the poor boy doesn't have an argument against that, especially because this wouldn't be a permanent gig this would be a few hours of fun and hed be back to work
Spock isn't all that fun to begin with
Even as a child he is logical and book oriented
Until Jim makes up a game of space pirates and they go and find treasure
Spock knows as he's running down the empty halls that Jim will always be in his life
Jim makes him feel free
Unashamed to be being stupid and illogical
Jims just excited that it's warm and Spock is kind and he's offered Jim food and drink without judgement
Offered him kindness without bitterness
But all things come to an end and Jim quickly throws his treasure off of a balcony and into the shrubbery below
Nothing breaks it's all rich shit made of solid gold and rubies and skill that he would never know
The day comes to an end and Spock hugs Jim and thanks him and tells him he's welcome any time and he should come back and they can play
Jim shrugs and says he'll try
Spock tells him this was the best birthday ever and Jim feels awful
He's stolen from this boy on his birthday
Jim hugs him and kisses his cheek "all I have to give you is this" before he scurries away
Years later
Spock finds himself in a loveless marriage but luckily there is the just-in-case spare not-really-needed heir to the throne
She is his favourite thing
He loves her and she loves him
It's a shame her mother is more fiery than them but otherwise they're okay
They can cohabit
It's not horrendous
But it's not great
Spock is at a party held by his wife and she clearly loves someone else
She should go for it
She won't get that from him
He doesn't like her
Hasn't
That's why he was upset so much as a child
The idea that he would be with a girl over a boy
It felt wrong
And then he saw him
Jim
Except he was in the arms of another
A man spock didn't like at all
He was an ass
An actual ass
And Jim looked bored
The young man was looking around, his eyes darting
They landed on Spock and they winded
Spock made his excuses before walking over
"Jim, it's been an age"
Jim looked awkward and shuffled out of earshot of his partner "hey Spock, are you alright?"
They spoke about nothing of importance and everything seemed swell until Jim's date made his presence known
He pulled Jim harshly and placed himself between them "Spock, how good it was that you invited me"
"kodos, unfortunately I had no say in the invitations."
"well, enough pleasantries, stop talking to my newest toy."
Spock was confused for a millisecond before really looking at jim
He was wearing nice attire but there was the tell tale signs of abuse, he was tired and thin - he always had been - and there was fear in his eyes
Spock didn't let that stop him, he waited until Kodos attention was elsewhere when Jim was permitted to go to the toilet
Spock waited awkwardly by the sinks and smiled at Jim when he exited the stall
"hello." He tried again
"Spock you shouldn't talk to me, I know you're royalty but he is a bad man. He will hurt you."
Jim spoke lowly as he washed his hands
"what happened, why are you with a crime boss?" Spock questioned "you had dreams of running your own circus, what happened?"
"life" Jim shrugged, "not all of us have the option."
"he's not given you an option?"
Jim wasn't sure why he was saying all of this, he wasn't sure if Kodos would hear, if he did Jim would be in trouble
"he brought the circus and decided he liked the look of some of us." Jim pulled at his shirt "we're still performing but just not as clowns."
Spock knew what Jim meant
They exited at different times so Kodos didn't know but he did
He was quick to strike jim, which wasn't unheard of
Jim was a human after all - they were the lowest life forms, mostly used as slaves but Spock wouldn't stand for it
He knew back as a child - waiting at the window for a glimpse of his friend - he loved the boy
It was a silly childhood crush
Nothing more
Well
No
It was more
He loved Jim
And he would not let this asshole hit him
Spock prevented the second strike with his hand
He was quick to pull the man towards the door, hand him some cash and force him to leave
Kodos chuckled darkly and behind Spock Jim stood worried
"Jimmy boy, you know I own you" and with that he was dragged away
Years later
Jim wasn't forced to live with Spock, actually he was given his own apartment
It was small but it was his
Jim and Spock had been in a sexual relationship - it wasn't expected but it had happened
Spock loved Jim openly, calling him T'hy'la, coming to his every beck and call, helping him with his recovery
Jim knew it wasn't love
Spock just liked a good seeing to and Jim was good in bed
No Vulcan would love a human
It would be illogical
It would be stupid
Spock watched on as Jim found friends and a purpose but he didn't let Spock in
Spock had offered to "cuddle" when Jim was sad, he had brought tickets to shows for Jim only for the man to invite someone else and he told him he didn't have to have sex
He wasn't so great at the last one because Jim was good in bed
