"The Bible is so sexist blah blah blah" okay. When it talks about how you can avoid doing stupid things in Proverbs it uses a man in its examples and personifies wisdom as a woman though which I think is pretty funny
#christianity#nevermind all the verses that are literally lauding women and commanding men to honor and respect them and treat them as equals...#nevermind the fact that the first three people to see Jesus after the resurrection were all women...#nevermind the fact that His first convert was a woman...#nevermind the fact that when a woman who'd been caught in adultery was being quite literally attacked and ridiculed by religious leaders#Jesus came and told her she wasn't evil or a failure or worthy of death and He rebuked the men who were attacking her...#He shoved their own issues back in their faces and told them that they had no right to think themselves any better than her#especially since she actually felt and understood the weight of what she'd done and wanted to change and they didn't...#but sure yes go on tell me more about how i'm “oppressed” by this and how God hates women#do you not think He might like women considering... yknow... He made them and included eve in the “beautiful and good” in genesis??#why would He make something He doesn't like...#please note i am not saying this to make fun of men in the slightest bit. that's not the point. i'm making a joke#but i do think the fact that it personifies wisdom as a woman is interesting#like i'm not sayin' y'all need to read it cause it's uh. it's somethin' but song of solomon??#like yeaaahhh i think judging by that one women are intended to be seen as pretty cool and good and whatnot#like i know i talk about “i love my wife”-ism in media but uh. song of solomon takes it to quite another level#anyway!#regarding the “first convert” thing a guy named cornelius is generally accepted as being the first convert#because he was the first to be converted by the time Christianity was actually established as a religion#but if you imagine that the samaritan woman at the well was actually the first non-jewish person to believe in what Jesus said#then she would actually be the first real convert.

Only time will tell if she will fulfill this presumed destiny, but thanks to the careful rearing and training of her grandmother, Graypelt, she shows great promise towards her destiny.

I watched this I don't know how many times to get the ingredients and quantities, but here we go for those who have no patience with videos:
olympic muffins
3/4 cup milk 1/4 cup water 2 teaspoons instant espresso
Simmer
1/2 cup cocoa powder 1/2 cup chocolate chunks stick of butter
let cool
2 cups of flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt
mix together
add to chocolate mixture: 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar 1/2 cup regular sugar 1/4 vegetable oil 2 eggs (room temperature) 1 tsp vanilla
then add 1/3 of the flour to the chocolate mixture and mix. then add remaining flour and fold in with spatula - don't overmix
add 1/3 cup chocolate chunks and fold in
bake at 375 degrees F for 24 minutes
ganache:  1/2 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup chocolate chunks pinch of salt
Here is the recipe rewritten to recipe format and in metric. Note: I'm assuming US cups (236ml) not imperial cups (284ml) as person in the video uses fahrenheit and 'stick of butter', which is a US thing.
note: personally when I convert cups to milliliter I assume a cup is 250ml because it maths better. half a cup is 125ml, 3/4 cups are a bullshit measurement (187,5ml or rounded up to 190ml) and why are you only putting 1/4 cup (62.5ml) of chocolate chunks in?? why are you using a volume measurement instead of a weight measurement to begin with??? heathens
metric olympic muffins
177ml milk 59ml water 2 teaspoons instant espresso 118ml cocoa powder 118ml cup chocolate chunks stick of butter  (the internet informs me this is equivalent to 113g butter) 118ml cup packed dark brown sugar 118ml cup regular sugar 59ml vegetable oil 2 eggs (room temperature) 1 tsp vanilla 473ml of flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt
ganache: 118ml heavy cream 59ml chocolate chunks pinch of salt
preheat oven to 190C.
milk, water, espresso powder goes in a pot on the stove. bring to a simmer. add the cocoa power, chocolate chunks, and butter, and let cool.
once cooled, add the sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla and mix well.
in a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. add about a third of the dry ingredients to the wet and mix. next fold remaining dry ingredients to the wet with a folding spatula and be careful not to over mix. fold in the chocolate chunks.
put batter in lined muffin pan and bake at 190C for 24 minutes.
for the ganache, heat the cream and add the chocolate chunks and stir until melted. I'm sure there's a best practice temperature for this but do your own googling. once muffins are sufficiently cooled, pipe ganache into the centre. enjoy.
if you’re craving chocolate muffins after the olympic muffin man videos, jordan the stallion on tiktok has the recipe for you
