Biography: Originally from Chicago Alex first moved down to Louisiana for college. The son of a media magnate, it was no surprise that Alex first wanted to get involved with communications, and when he finally settled on journalism, his family was extremely proud. What they weren’t however, was prepared for how entitled Alex was when he finished college. Upon returning home, he assumed his dad would be taking him under his wing and teaching him how to run the company, but his dad, Bryce, had different plans. He had expected Alex to get a job within the company and work his way up, making sure he knew every step of the business the way he himself had, but when Alex found that out, he was infuriated. 

It was only through his mother’s intervention that Alex wasn’t completely disinherited, and when he realized no other media companies in Chicago would give him a chance after hearing about his entitlement, he fled back to Louisiana, moving to Baton Rouge. He managed to get an entry level job at a paper, which didn’t pay much, but he still had his parents money, which his mom was still providing him. He worked at the newspaper, but he didn’t really make friends, he looked down on the people around him like he was better than them, and that rubbed people the wrong way. After nearly ten years of living and working in Baton Rouge his parents surprised him by coming down to visit. He showed them all the hard work he had been doing, and when his father offered to take them all out to dinner, Alex assumed this would be the point where his dad was going to offer to take him under Bryce’s wing, and let him take over the company, but as the evening went on and there was no mention of it, Alex got more and more mad. The anger came to a boil when Bryce commented on the sale of the company, and Alex was infuriated to find out that Bryce had sold the company for a huge profit. When Alex demanded to know what was going to happen to him, his father assured Alex that he wasn’t forgotten about. He had an account full of money put aside for Alex, for the future. 

Alex, infuriated at his father for ruining his life long plans, stormed off into the night, and Bryce and Carmen, Alex’s mom, were never heard from again. Alex was investigated closely, but when witnesses said they saw him walk away before his parents disappeared, the investigation ran cold. Alex went back to Chicago to declare his parents dead, but found that all of the money his father had promised him was in a trust that could only be accessed when Alex was an editor of a paper himself. The life insurance on his parents was paid out to other people, and the money that Alex had been getting monthly was no longer coming in. Destitute, he went back to Baton Rouge, and began to pressure his boss into letting him learn under him, letting him be an editor. The boss didn’t go for it, and after awhile got more and more uncomfortable with Alex pressuring him. Alex would harass staff members, trying to act like he was better than them, until he was eventually fired for his behavior. 

Infuriated, he was sure it was a coworker he had been bossing around who got him fired, and he followed them home before grabbing them as they got out of their car and telling them that they had made a terrible mistake. The next day the office got an email saying they were quitting and never coming back. Meanwhile, Alex moved down to New Orleans and began to work at a paper there. He kept his head down, stayed under the radar, but tried his hardest to come up with stories that would impress his bosses. When the great announcement happened, he tried hard to write stories about it, but so many stories were happening all over the world that they were lost in the shuffle. 

When he heard about a city of solely supernatural people, he knew he had to move there, he had to be a journalist, and maybe- just maybe he could impress the world and make editor of that paper, and finally get his inheritance.

The end of an era - the beloved town of Mystic Falls is no longer.

It is the year of 2018. unknown to most, hope mikaelson caused a rife between supernatural beings in the future and in the present that burnt mystic falls to to the ground, leaving the town inhabitable after a fire that took many lives, and consumed the beloved memories of locals.

No one is safe. With the fire and hope’s attempted to correct what she did, she made a vital error - casting a spell of which brought many loved ones, or not so loved ones, back from the dead.

Beware, you do not know who is hiding behind the next corner.

Biography: Born to a prominent fae family, Jonah had lived his life on the fringe of society- his family once owned thousands of acres of woods, but as time went on, humans began to encroach on their land, and thus they decided if they were going to be screwed by the humans, they would screw them right back. The fae community didn't approve of their plan, but that didn't stop his family who left the community and disguised themselves as human. They made a name for themselves, using their macig to obtain what humans found desirable, money, property, and most of all they made deals with humans.

Within three decades they were some of the richest people in their New England town, and the Jonah began to work in politics. He and his father had a knack for manipulating humans into making deals that they couldn't break and Jonah began to like what he did, preferring to work behind the scenes rather than being a face for politics.

When the supernatural community came out Jonah watched as humans lost their collective shit. Some were willing to overlook things that should not have been overlooked and others were making molehills out of nothing. It seemed like no one could make up their mind about what they should do- so when he heard about a town starting to collect mostly supernatural residents he moved, insistent on changing politics from the inside, and what better way to do that than by starting from the ground floor in Saintes. He began to work at City Hall and has made his way to being the Mayor's assistant. He knows everything that goes on in town, and everything that goes on in every meeting.

Does he consider himself the power behind the throne? Not really. But he definitely has more power than anyone would think just by looking at him.

A mysterious invitation has been sent out to every single person in the city. Rich, or poor. Young, or old. No matter the species or what leader they answer to, all have been given an opportunity to make this a memorable Halloween. The population whispers, rumors spread surrounding the motivation behind such a massive event, but the Pendragon’s are an ancient vampire family with money and time at their disposal, and room to spare at their Upper St. Vladimir’s property bordering the Bloodhearth county line. Now that the mourning period for their late daughter comes to an end, they re-enter the social sphere with a bang. Their wealth is legendary, and their connections are even more so. It’s a wonder they haven’t done something of this scale sooner.

And the theme for this special Halloween event? A masqueraded journey through seven circles of Hell. Travel through your darkest fears, beloved vices, pleasures beyond comprehension to reach the end, the inner circle. An exclusive and costly soiree that only the bravest and most curious among us can hope to reach. The Pendragons have thought of it all, and what they haven’t thought of their money has thought of for them. The only thing for their guests to do is find a costume, grab a friend, and join them on October 31st for a twenty-four hour revel you will never forget.

Welcome to the spookiest month of the year! This month we’ll be having one major event that happens for 24 hours in-game time. In real-time we’ll be dragging it out over the course of a full week (schedule below). That’s right, for a week we’ll be posting small little plot drops to keep things moving at this Masquerade Ball. Additionally, the Pendragon’s will be hiring some Redcap muscle to run security at the event, so if your Redcap wants to take on that position, feel free! 

Some things to keep in mind: 

There will be 7 different circles with 7 different themes your character can enter over the course of the party. They must pass through each in order to get to the most exclusive part of the party, the inner circle. Not everyone will want to make it that far, some of the entry requirements might have them turning back, or maybe they’ll be up for the challenge and the status granted to inner circle members. The themes of each circle are a secret for now, and will be revealed over the coming weeks one at a time in no particular order. The member with the highest XP in Discord chat will pick the first circle they’d like revealed, and so on down the line. We’ll message you when it’s your turn to pick which circle’s theme and entry requirement is revealed next. Stay tuned as we update this post.
