“Karwa chauth is regressive/mysogynist.” So
Women fasting (which is a sure shot way to get a boon in Hinduism in general aswell, fyi. We fast for a lot of different things, both men and women.) in order to please a Goddess (the one who governs a woman’s married life) so that she would protect her husband, something she is doing on her accord is actually against them.
Something that they themselves invented back when men’s lives were under a lot of mortality risk (which is why ancient scriptures don’t speak of it) is invented to oppress them
Something that when you practice, you’re most likely to hear “iski kya zaroorat hai? Jee to rha hu main.” (“Whats even the need? I’m fine am I not?”) from the guy you’re doing it for is actually patriarchal.
Something that women genuinely enjoy because of how (as I’ve heard women around me say) they get to play dress up, don’t have to do any housework, get to meet up with friends and have fun, get treated to a great dinner at night, are pampered by their husbands, is regressive to them.
Something they have been doing since ages for their own peace of mind is oppressing them
Maybe you guys come from different regions and have experienced stuff that makes you think its regressive, of course coupled with whatever social evils exist where you come from ( tbh, even I don’t believe that one should fast for the long life of someone whose an ass to you or won’t do the same for you when need arises. Heck, I don’t even believe in fasting if u don’t want to, which many women do.), but the truth is, the practice itself has nothing to do with misogyny all the way to its origin. Women who still observe despite coming from open minded households do it on their own accord after all.
Don’t even get me started on how fasting is not observed just by women. There’s millions of hindu men out there who have fasted for their wives’ well being in times of sickness and peril (including my own grandfather) , on regular weekday or lunar calender oriented dates. Western India even has the Ashunya Shayan fast where Husbands fast for their wives and marital bliss. The difference is while there’s a specified day for women to do the same annually, it has been labelled poorly by those who don’t even realise its roots.
Let Hindu Women be. You guys made your own choice and opinion, but forcing it down other people’s throat isn’t making you a feminist, its making you an asshole.

How can natural healthcare benefit you?
If we adhere to the fundamental tenets of natural health care, we can preserve and protect our natural health. Keeping to these fundamental tenets of natural health care isn't complicated or time-consuming, but it does demand discipline and commitment. Before our body completely loses its healthy position, we need to follow some basic principles of natural health care. It will be impossible to use these general guidelines for natural health care in the future, particularly if we become sick.
The most significant threat to our health and wellbeing in the present day is the way most of us choose to live our lives. Currently, we live in a societal framework that is detrimental to not just our collective well-being, but also our individual physical and mental health. Here are three well-established guidelines for natural health care that are seldom used in the current world. These three seemingly unremarkable natural health care concepts are surprisingly potent and may be to blame for more health issues than we realize. There are a lot of Monthly Facial Benefits.
Establishing a Natural Sleep Schedule for Better Health and Well-Being: There are many ways in which sleeping in accordance with the natural order may benefit our health and well-being. Our internal clock is pre-programmed to sync with the natural 24-hour day and night cycle, so that at night we sleep and awaken ready to go to work. Benefits Of Lotus Seedswill always help you. Our modern unhealthy lifestyle has a tendency to rewire this internal clock artificially. Disturbed sleep and other forms of sleep problem are mostly attributable to the unnatural sleeping habits that have become commonplace in the contemporary world.
Avoid Unnatural and Unhealthy Eating Habits to Improve Your Health: Our dietary habits have also evolved throughout the years. In this piece, I will not address the topic of modern Americans' diets being nutritionally deficient and harmful. You can even know How to Fix Dry Eyeliner. These days, we don't eat because our bodies signal hunger, but rather because we want to, because the clock says it's time to, or because we need the fuel. The needs of our bodies in the twenty-first century are different from those of the past, even if the food we consume is of the highest quality and is grown organically. These days, the contrary is true when it comes to health and wellbeing, and eating more does not always guarantee better health. Karwa Chauth Makeup Lookactually have a huge impact.
The natural health care system is hindered by unnatural overprotection and over comfort: Today, we take precautions not just against the elements but also against the unnatural influences of modern culture. Modern conveniences are so advanced that they are physically uncomfortable for the human body to operate in, demonstrating how far we have progressed beyond our natural comfort zones. H-Warts Formulais indeed excellent. We've under-protected our natural bodily system in an effort to maintain our healthy appearance and sensations. While we go outside the safety of our bubble of protection, our bodies are forced to operate in dual mode, but when we remain in that bubble, we are subjecting them to an artificial stress.

Indian soaps are really the best inspiration for VK/Pat 🤪 one of them had a Karwa Chauth special episode which fits really well with the VK/Pat/Mitch dynamic lol. So Karwa Chauth is a Hindu festival, where wives keep a fast all day long for their husband's health and well-being. They aren't allowed to eat food or drink water for the entire day, until the rising of the moon that night. When the moon rises, it is customary for the wives to behold the moon through a sieve, or the moon's reflection through a pot of water. Either works. Once this is done, the wife is supposed to behold her husband's face through the sieve. Then the husband offers his wife a sip of water, thus breaking her fast, following which she can have her first morsel of the day.
So what happened in the Karwa Chauth episode is that the female lead was searching for her husband to break the fast, she was wandering around with the sieve in her hands. Then somehow, she sees her husband through the sieve, and is happy at first. Then the husband's secretary follows him into the frame, and he hugs her, telling her he loves her. All this the wife sees through the sieve. So she finds out about her husband's affair on the day of a festival traditionally meant to celebrate the bond between a husband and a wife. So dramatic smh. 🤣😂
But I'm totally imagining the wife as VK, the husband as Pat and the secretary as Mitchy here! 🤪
Literally the Indian soap operas are on another level

Karwa Chauth Puja Samagri: Essential Items for the Ritual
Introduction
Karwa Chauth is a significant Hindu festival celebrated with great fervor, especially in North India. It is a day when married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the well-being and longevity of their husbands. The festival, deeply rooted in tradition, involves a series of rituals and customs, with the preparation and use of specific puja samagri (ritual items) being central to the celebration. This article will guide you through the essential items needed for the Karwa Chauth puja, ensuring that your preparations are complete and that the ritual is performed with the utmost devotion.
The Significance of Karwa Chauth
Before diving into the puja samagri, it’s important to understand the significance of Karwa Chauth. The word "Karwa" refers to an earthen pot, and "Chauth" means the fourth, as the festival is celebrated on the fourth day after the full moon in the Hindu month of Kartik. The fast is observed by married women who pray for the long life, health, and prosperity of their husbands. The festival also symbolizes the bond of love and trust between husband and wife.
The day starts with pre-dawn preparations, followed by a day-long fast, and ends with the sighting of the moon and the performance of the puja. The ritual of the Karwa Chauth puja is rich with symbolic elements, each represented by specific items that hold deep cultural and spiritual meanings.
Essential Karwa Chauth Puja Samagri
Karwa (Earthen Pot)
The karwa chauth puja samagri is one of the most important items used in the puja. It is an earthen pot filled with water, symbolizing prosperity and well-being. During the puja, it is offered to the moon and later given as a gift to the mother-in-law or any other elder woman in the family.
Sargi
Sargi is a pre-dawn meal prepared by the mother-in-law and given to the fasting woman. It typically includes fruits, sweets, dry fruits, and other light foods to provide energy for the day-long fast. This meal is consumed before sunrise, and it marks the beginning of the fast.
Mehndi (Henna)
Applying mehndi on the hands is a traditional part of the Karwa Chauth celebration. It is believed that the darker the mehndi, the deeper the love between the couple. Women often get intricate designs on their hands and feet, adding to the festive spirit.
Sindoor (Vermilion)
Sindoor, or vermilion, is applied in the parting of a married woman’s hair as a symbol of her marital status. During the Karwa Chauth puja, it is offered to the goddess as part of the ritual and is then applied by the fasting woman.
Channi (Sieve)
The sieve, or channi, is used during the final part of the puja when the woman views the moon through it before breaking her fast. It is also used to see her husband’s face, symbolizing her prayers for his long life.
Puja Thali
The puja thali is a decorated plate that contains all the essential items needed for the puja. It usually includes a small diya (lamp), incense sticks, rice, kumkum (red powder), roli (sacred thread), and some flowers. The thali is offered to the deity and is later used in the aarti.
Diya (Lamp)
The diya, or oil lamp, is a crucial part of the puja thali. It is lit during the puja and symbolizes the presence of divine light, dispelling darkness and ignorance. The diya is usually placed on the thali and is used during the aarti.
Incense Sticks and Dhoop
Incense sticks and dhoop are used to create a sacred and fragrant atmosphere during the puja. The fragrance is believed to purify the surroundings and invite positive energies. These are lit and waved in front of the deity as part of the offering.
Kumkum and Roli
Kumkum (red powder) and roli (sacred thread) are essential for marking the forehead of the deity and the fasting woman. They are symbols of auspiciousness and are used in almost every Hindu ritual.
Rice and Wheat Grains
Rice and wheat grains are offered to the deity as symbols of prosperity and sustenance. They are also used during the puja to draw sacred symbols on the floor, such as swastikas and lotus flowers.
Fruits and Sweets
Fruits
and sweets are integral parts of the Karwa Chauth puja. They are offered to the goddess as a token of gratitude and are later consumed as prasad (blessed food) by the fasting women. Commonly included sweets are laddoos, barfi, and kheer, symbolizing the sweetness and joy in married life.
Matka (Small Earthen Pot)
A small earthen pot, often decorated with colors and designs, is another important item in the Karwa Chauth puja. It is filled with water or milk and used during the offering to the moon, representing the nurturing aspect of the divine.
Clothes and Jewelry
On Karwa Chauth, women traditionally dress in their finest clothes, often wearing a red or vibrant saree or lehenga. They also adorn themselves with jewelry, symbolizing their marital status and the bond of love and respect between them and their husbands. These items are not just for appearance but hold spiritual significance as symbols of devotion and commitment.
Ganga Jal
Holy water from the Ganges, known as Ganga Jal, is used during the puja for purification purposes. It is sprinkled on the puja items and the surrounding area to sanctify the space and invoke divine blessings.
Aarti Book or Mantra Book
An aarti book or a mantra book is used to recite the prayers and mantras during the puja. The verses are typically dedicated to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, seeking their blessings for a long and happy married life.
Karwa Chauth Katha (Story)
During the puja, the Karwa Chauth katha or story is narrated. This story recounts the significance of the festival and the reasons why it is celebrated. Listening to or reciting the katha is considered an essential part of the ritual, as it reinforces the cultural and spiritual importance of the day.
Betel Leaves and Nuts
Betel leaves and nuts, also known as paan, are offered during the puja and are considered auspicious. They are symbols of love, prosperity, and health and are an integral part of the offerings made to the deity.
Kalash
A kalash (metal pot) filled with water, coconut, and mango leaves is placed on the puja altar. It represents the presence of divine energy and is used in various rituals throughout the puja. The kalash is considered a symbol of abundance and purity.
Moon Viewing Items
Finally, the moon viewing is a pivotal moment in the Karwa Chauth ritual. Items like a sieve (channi), a lit diya, and a small glass of water are used. The woman looks at the moon through the sieve and then at her husband, symbolizing her prayers for his long life. She then sips water and breaks her fast.
How to Arrange the Puja Samagri
Arranging the puja samagri in a systematic and organized manner is essential for a smooth and fulfilling Karwa Chauth puja. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Puja Thali Preparation
Start by preparing the puja thali. Arrange the diya, kumkum, rice, roli, flowers, and sweets on the thali. Make sure everything is easily accessible during the puja.
Setting Up the Altar
Choose a clean and quiet place to set up the altar. Place a clean cloth on the surface, and position the deity’s idol or image in the center. Place the kalash, Karwa, and matka nearby, ensuring they are filled with water.
Placing the Sargi
If you’re preparing the sargi for someone else or receiving it, ensure that it is well-arranged with fruits, sweets, and dry fruits. The sargi is consumed early in the morning, so prepare it the night before if needed.
Decorating with Flowers and Rangoli
To add a festive touch, decorate the altar and surrounding area with fresh flowers and rangoli designs. This creates a sacred atmosphere conducive to prayer and devotion.
Final Check
Before beginning the puja, double-check that all the essential items are in place. This includes the puja thali, Karwa, channi, aarti book, and offerings.
Conclusion
Karwa Chauth is not just a ritual but a celebration of love, commitment, and the sacred bond of marriage. The careful preparation of the Karwa Chauth puja samagri ensures that the festival is observed with devotion and respect for tradition. By gathering all the essential items and understanding their significance, you can perform the puja with full faith, invoking blessings for a long, healthy, and prosperous married life.
As you prepare for Karwa Chauth, remember that each item in the puja has a deep spiritual meaning, enhancing the ritual’s power and the blessings it brings. May your Karwa Chauth be filled with love, devotion, and divine blessings.

Different Styles of Designer Sarees and Blouses for Women at ScrollnShops
The Classic Indian Saree is the traditional six-yard saree that consists of a Blouse and Saree. Women have been draping themselves in a saree depending on the region of their origin. The best part of a classic Indian saree is that it's truly versatile and can be styled anywhere, like pujas, charity events, family functions, festivals or work. For example, a Pure Cotton saree is one of the most popular sarees, renowned for its lightweight and breathable material as it is effortless and comfortable to wear. Without a silk saree, an Indian wedding would be incomplete. A silk saree showcases intricate designs and embellishments made by hand using diverse techniques, including handloom, hand painting, and hand embroidery. Banarasi saree is famous for its fine-quality silk fabric and gold and silver zari embroidery. A georgette saree or an organza saree drapes beautifully as it gives a nice fall to the saree, whether printed or embroidered.
Pre-draped sarees or Pre-stitched sarees have created hype and trends in the fashion world in recent times. Women love the concept of a pre-stitched saree, as they are easy to wear, hassle-free and give an excellent look. Pre-stitched sarees appear identical to traditional sarees. It is also known as a pre-draped saree, ready-made saree, or ready-to-wear saree. The pleats are already sewn, so you don’t need to worry about tucking and pleating. However, the pallu can be sewn for a pleated look or can be left as it is for an open look. The best part about a prestitched saree it that it doesn’t require a petticoat as it is already attached to the saree, depending on the saree fabric. Nowadays, ready-to-wear sarees have a slit at the bottom to bring out the style quotient in the sarees giving it a bold yet modern ethnic feel. A Designer Pre-drape Saree for Women at ScrollnShops offers an elegant and chic look preferred for occasions such as Sangeet, Reception, Cocktail, Engagement, Housewarming, and more or Festivals such as Diwali, Navratri and is a must-have in your wardrobe. Saree Skirt Set or Lehenga Saree Set combines a traditional saree and a skirt or a lehenga. It consists of three pieces: a skirt, a blouse, and a drape or pallu is attached to the skirt or the lehenga. Ready-to-wear saree skirts with flowing frills, tiers, and fun draperies with meticulous embroidery offer a stunning appearance. It is a pretty deadly combination of traditional sarees and skirts with a modern touch to steal the show wherever you go. Saree skirt sets are a great choice for Sangeet, Mehendi, Wedding, Roka, Bridesmaids, or Karwa Chauth and more.
Fusion Saree or Concept Saree beautifully blends experimentations from different cultural fashions and styles of modern and ethnic elements. These fusion sarees are an amalgamation of a bottom such as Dhoti, Pant, Palazzo, Gharara, or Sharara with a stitched or detachable saree-pallu and a blouse to create a unique and versatile outfit. Concept sarees embody a Dress, Gown, Jumpsuit or Co-ord Set with an attached pallu or dupatta to adhere to the notion of a saree. Designers mix and match with different types of fabric, patterns, prints, and embroidery, offering them a distinctive and bold presence. Fusion sarees or concept sarees can be worn for Formal Events, Haldi, Cocktails, Party, Date Night, Get Togethers or Festive occasions.

FUCKED UP!!
GOVIND comes home at 2 AM on Karwa chauth night from his work, opes the door and finds GEETA sleeping on the chair in the hall there in her red saree waiting for him. He wakes her up after which she looks at him, smiles and says,
GEETA: BABY FINALLY YOU ARE HOME. COME LET'S GO!
GOVIND: GEETA! ACTUALLY I WANT TO TELL YOU SOMETHING.
She without listening to him, holds his hand, takes him to the balcony saying,
GEETA: I AM DOING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME ONLY FOR YOU BABY!
And takes the channi, looks at the moon, then back at him after which she gives him a glass of water which he makes her drink and breaks her fast. She makes him drink the water saying,
GOVIND: I KNOW YOU HAVE ALSO KEPT FAST FOR ME. LET'S HAVE DINNER NOW COME!
Both of them go to the dining area where she starts serving food. As she was about to serve him the briyani he holding her hand says,
GOVIND: GEETA I CHEATED ON YOU TODAY!
She gives him a confusing look asks,
GEETA: WHAT DO YOU MEAN BABY?
GOVIND: I MADE OUT WITH CATHERINE, THE RECEPTIONIST IN MY OFFICE TODAY EVENING.
GEETA: YOU MADE LOVE TO HER?
GOVIND: NO..NO..WE JUST GOT PHYSICAL BECAUSE SHE CAME TO ME WHEN I WAS STRESSED ABOUT WORK WHICH SHE KNEW AND THEN SHE TAKING THE LEAD STARTED KISSING ME AFTER WHICH WE HAD SEX IN MY CABIN.
She sarcastically says,
GEETA: OKAY SO YOU WERE WITH HER TILL NOW? YOU CAME LATE TODAY BECAUSE YOU WERE FASTING FOR ME BUT BANGING HER, RIGHT?
He holds her hands which she removes saying,
GEETA: DON'T TOUCH ME! YOU HAVE LOST THAT RIGHT NOW.
He getting a bit emotional says,
GOVIND: DON'T DO THIS BABY. IT WAS JUST A ONE TIME MISTAKE. I ONLY LOVE YOU.
GEETA: AND I DON'T!
GOVIND: YOU ARE SAYING THIS JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE ANGRY. WE CAN WORK ON IT! IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN...TRUST ME!
She in anger, stands up and yells saying,
GEETA: TRUST MY FOOT! I FUCKING LOVED YOU SINCE CHILDHOOD GOVIND, FOUGHT WITH MY FAMILY, LEFT MY JOB AND SHIFTED HERE BECAUSE OF YOUR WORK...I NEVER THAUGHT ABOUT ANY OTHER MAN TILL DATE AND YOU FUCKING CHEATED ON ME AND WANT TO SORT THIS SHIT OUT BY WORKING ON IT. WHAT THE FUCK MAN?

Easy To Style Outfit Ideas For Authentic Indian Karwa Chauth Look
Karva Chauth celebrations have existed since time immemorial. Though Bollywood movies have glamorized the entire ritual, this occasion has a deeper significance.
In Mahabharata, Draupadi was urged by Lord Krishna to follow Karva Chauth fast for Arjun’s protection at the battle. To upkeep the safety of their husbands, married women follow a no food, no water fast till the moon shines out. Post that, they deliver the first sip of the sacred water to the moon followed by other rituals. It is believed that couples who commit to this receive the asked blessings.
If you celebrate Karva Chauth, here are some outfit inspos by Vishnu for you to worry less and savor the day more!
1. Mustard Ajrakh Print Maxi Anarkali
