Why does the Mayor send Robin to greet you at the Bus stop? What is he so busy doing that he can't be there right away? How would the Opening Scene play differently if another Stardew townie greeted you? What housewarming gifts/ advantages would you gain from someone else? Here are my little headcanons.

Marnie - she's the Mayor's secret girlfriend. Maybe he doesn't want to risk exposing this to the new farmer. However, I think it would be cute if you had a dog or a cat from Day 1 thanks to Marnie pointing out that the farm would be a great place for them to run around.

Caroline- She would encourage you to shop at her husband's store. An invite to her Tuesday aerobics class would be nice.

Pierre - He's a busy man running his store, but he might offer you extra seeds.

Demetrius - He would awkwardly show you around, and you'd have access to the farm cave on day 1 if you accept his offer to study the local bat population.

Robin - she's the vanilla choice but I'd like to think she gives you a storage chest.

Linus - the mountain man is shy but he is curious about the new farmer. He would bring some wild forage.

Marlon - Ah! The new adventurer! A rusty sword seems like the kind of welcome gift he would offer. (You don't gain access to the mines but monsters might spawn on the first night on the farm).

Gus - ah! A new farmer! This man is kindly bringing you a hot meal.

Evelyn and George - He would be like 'dagnabbit! Dragged me out here woman!' He can't exactly roll around easily on the farmland. She would be happy to make your acquaintance (and bring cookies, of course). George might give you a leek from Ev's garden.

Pam - She's driving the bus, right? She would mention it's normal for the mayor to run late. Let's crack open a pale ale.

Clint - Errr... hi... here is a sprinkler for your farm. (Makes a quick exit). (Or maybe an upgraded watering can).

Gunther - ah yes! Please help us replenish our museum. It is in a sad state. Here is a library card and a book about the history of the Valley.

Willy - Day 1 fishing pole! Oh yeah! (Super useful for the riverlands farm). If you're on another farm type, maybe just a fish).

Wizard - He finds you very... curious... and gives you the ability to understand Junimos (except who are they?). He smiles and says you will understand in time. And poufs! Where did he go?

Morris- beats Lewis to the bus stop, just barely and is out of breath. He gives you the Joja pitch early (and for today only, a discount if you buy a membership) but you wouldn't sell out, would you?

The Bachelors on their Wedding Day

ʚ🏈ɞ ˚ · . Alex :

🏈 Fiddles with his tie relentlessly and ends up ruining it. He runs to Evelyn to ask her to tie it up again. The only other thing he fusses over is his hair.

🏈 Alex keeps a rabbit's foot in his pants, wanting all the luck he can get.

🏈 Spent literal days writing his wedding vows. Ends up opting to wing it. It wasn't the most eloquently worded thing you've heard but it was sweet.

🏈 He gave himself a pep talk in his bedroom before the ceremony. You only know about this because George was complaining about how loud he was to you.

🏈 Dusty the dog is the mermaid pendant bearer, I decided.

🏈 Also, the song that plays during the wedding is the same tune from Alex's music box. 🥺

ʚ🪶ɞ ˚ · . Elliott :

🪶Beach wedding. You guys have a beach wedding. You've expressed your interest in one and Elliott, with the eager help of Willy, clean up the beach for your special day. Elliott's shoes would fill with sand but his discomfort is overpowered by his delight when he sees you all dressed up.

🪶 He reads you one (of many) of his poems about you. You later learned that he's got a whole book of poetry about you that he's been writing ever since you two started dating. The poem he read on the wedding day was the very first one and is the first page of the book.

🪶 He spent hours trying to make himself look good. Asking for Leah and Willy's input on what he should wear for a solid 3 hours.

🪶 Aside from him worrying over his appearance, Elliott is more excited than nervous. He's on the verge of creating a new chapter in his life with someone else. Gone are the days of his lonely shack and the empty (well, not as empty since you moved into town) beach. Honestly, to say that he's excited is an understatement.

ʚ🛩️ɞ ˚ · . Harvey :

🛩️ Gets awfully shy when reading his vows, stuttering his way through his words and being a blushing mess. He has no problem with the one-on-one check up sessions he does with the other villagers of Pelican Town, but to read aloud in front of all of them at once threw him off. But he kept his eyes on you and managed to power through it.

🛩️ He considered shaving off his mustache for the wedding at least twice. But he decided against the idea.

🛩️ Insisted that you eat Farmer's Brunch the morning of the wedding. Even during your wedding day, he wants to make sure you're feeling healthy.

🛩️ Holds your hands throughout the whole ceremony. Whispering apologies for how clammy his hands are.

ʚ🎸ɞ ˚ · . Sam :

🎸 He wrote a whole song about you and played it on your wedding day. He made it a surprise for you and the moments of him hiding his guitar and shoving music sheets under his bed when you visit his room were all starting to make sense to you.

🎸 Couldn't sleep for the whole night before the wedding. He worried over the ceremony and wanted to make it go smoothly. He's not one to meticulously plan every detail, opting to engage in spur of the moment decisions, but he tried his best to make everything as close to perfect as he can get.

🎸 Jodi tried to gel Sam's hair back, but no matter the amount of gel and hours, his hair would always spring back. Sam wasn't a fan of dressing up in a "dorky suit" but he did anyway, for you.

🎸 Sam didn't want to see you until the wedding so he got Vincent to play messenger for the two of you. He wouldn't do it at first but only agreed to do it because he likes you (Cue a dramatic gasp from Sam).

ʚ🐸ɞ ˚ · . Sebastian :

🐸 Ends up smiling through the whole ceremony, looking at you with such a brightness in his eyes.

🐸 He isn't one to wear anything fancy. The closest thing he ever wore that is considered formal was the suit that Lewis got him and the rest of the dancers to wear for the Flower Dance. He asks his mom to help him dress up for the wedding, asking her about it while she was building furniture. Sebastian doesn't want to admit it, but he liked watching his mom so happy over something that was so mundane to him. He makes sure to keep the suit in perfect condition throughout the ceremony because of it.

🐸 He tells his very heartfelt wedding vows. And while he does, you could hear the faint "that's good," from Elliott before a grunt, inevitably elbowed on the side by Leah.

🐸 You and him ride on his motorcycle after the wedding. He drives you two to the cliff overlooking the city, the same cliff where he confessed his true feelings to you. Under the full moon, the two of you would look at the stars with Sebastian occasionally pointing at a constellation that Maru taught him to find.

🐸 Consider: winter wedding.

ʚ🐣ɞ ˚ · . Shane :

🐣 Genuinely doesn't believe that you want to marry him. He thinks it's a dream at best and a prank at worst. It wasn't until you were tying his mermaid pendant around his neck for him to know that you do love him. He still has trouble understanding it sometimes.

🐣 Shane asked Marnie to teach him how to waltz for your wedding day. Sure, he's danced in the Flower Dance countless of times but he wanted to learn something new to surprise you. And he did. After dancing with you, he dances with Jas. Well, it's more of Jas standing on Shane's feet while he walks and glides around.

🐣 He gave his chicken, Charlie, a bow tie for the wedding and everything. Even got a picture of you and Shane with the little guy. The picture ends up being hanged on Shane's side of the bedroom for many years to come.

🐣 Has his pocket full of corn chips, let's be honest. He offers one to you before the ceremony starts.

HES Trio Headcanons (the third)

That's right guys, another one (my brain is rotted). These three live in my head rent free

some the Shane ones are sad again, sorry

Elliott

-had a pet hermit crab as a kid, he's always been a friend of the crabs!

- prefers fancy, decorative candles to scented ones. The prettier the better!

- trying his best to make his room look like Howls from Howls Moving Castle. That clutter of beautiful trinkets is exactly what he wants for a setup

- loves wearing his hair in braids, but is terrible at doing braids on himself. He usually asks Leah

- Willy is like a father to him. His bio father was not a kind man, and Willy is everything he wished his father could be and more

- Willy taught him how to fish too, and he's actually pretty good at it!

- very into a "method acting" style of writing, as in he'll live like a character he's trying to write for a while until he feels like he can realistically interpret them in his writing

- faked a British accent for about a month in middle school because he thought it sounded very sophisticated and artsy

Harvey

- won't tell anyone, but he enjoys little Saturday morning cartoons now and then. It reminds him of the moments of joy he felt when he was little and he cherishes that

- tried to shave off his mustache once and seeing how he looked without it scared him so bad he vowed not to do it again. It looks so bad 😭💔

- wears that Ebenezer scrooge lookin nightgown and cap unironically, swears that it helps him sleep better

- lactose intolerant and has a gluten allergy. He doesn't like cheese and baked goods because of it, they make him really sick

- that being said, if u made/bought him gluten free stuff he would act like he owes his life to you

- once he was at the library at the same time Penny was tutoring the kids. It was during free reading time and Vincent told him he looked like a character in the book he was reading. It was Geronimo Stilton. Harvey has still not recovered from that

- really wanted siblings as a little kid but never had them, so he created an imaginary friend for himself and pretended to go on aviation missions with them

- has a lil gap between his front teeth, he gets a bit shy about it, but it's cute when he smiles and you can see it

Shane

- I changed my height headcanon, bro is 5'3 now

- his ENTIRE family is very short, his mom and Marnie are 5'0. Jas' parents were tall though so once she's older she's absolutely towering over Marnie and Shane

- had very long hair before taking in Jas. For many reasons, especially maintenance, he's kept it short since adopting her

- Him stealing food from Joja is a habit built from necessity, from the time before he moved back in with Marnie. He got to the point financially that he was often stealing food for him and Jas, because he was often forced to choose between groceries and paying rent.

- he's not a vegetarian, but he refuses to eat chicken specifically. Everytime he tries, he just can't bring himself to do it. He loves chickens too much

- even then, he still ate very little. Stealing was risky and he wanted to make sure Jas was given what she needed first. He always had her eat first, and would eat whatever she didn't, like crusts or veggies she didn't like. The night he moved back in with Marnie was the first time he had an actual meal in about a year

- After he starts recovery, he tries to be better friends with Penny given that she's Jas' teacher. She isn't very interested in being close with him, but he still tries to be friendly

- has an arsenal of dad jokes at the ready at any given moment, you are not prepared for how corny this man gets

- forever salty that LEWIS of all people is beating him on the junimo kart leaderboards

- He and Sam have a workplace besties kinda relationship. They still stay pretty good friends after Joja closes, Shane goes to all of his bands shows to show support

- the only festivals he really cares about are the egg festival, luau and Stardew valley fair. The rest he'll go to because it makes Jas and Marnie happy, but those three he has a passion for

requested by: anon! hi, so sorry this took so long! hiatus, yada yada. i've never really written for elliot before, so pardon the inaccuracies, but thank you so much for the request! :) keep in mind, these are my personal headcanons so especially when we get into family stuff, it comes from my empty lil brain 💀

• Elliott's music taste is on the softer and orchestral side. More often than not, he's listening to soft piano or classical music. Of course, he also finds music that is essentially poetry his favorite. He listens to a lot of Hozier and music similar, and his favorite songs include Like Real People Do by Hozier, Goddess by Laufey, and I Hate It Here by Taylor Swift.

• Elliott's love language is obviously words of affirmation, giving and receiving. The words flow out of him like a waterfall, and he loves to make his partner feel loved with them. However, if the roles are reversed, and he's given affirmation? Oh, I see he's fainted. He might honestly pass out from how much his heart is beating, it seems as though the quotes from his favorite novels have come true. How sweet.

• The reason Elliott enjoys the beach so much is due to his family's vacations with each other. Specifically, his sister. They had so much fun together, playing in the sand and running away from the sharks at the beach. When she passed, he became entrapped in solitude. His only way out was through the books on his shelf. He was set on writing something in his sister's memory, it would be his life's work. Even though he's fallen out with his parents, he still holds his sister's memory dear to his heart. He's not on speaking terms with his parents.

• Elliott doesn't write poetry as work. He writes it to get out emotions and just in his free time. He has to keep this distinction so he can deal with his emotions properly! Once the book is full enough, though, he will end up editing it and publishing it. However, he will never write poetry for the purpose of publishing it. He needs to get away from the stresses of writing his novel somehow.

• His cabin is less than desired. When he moved to Pelican Town, he had absolutely no money, but he had a dream! Lewis struck a deal with him, allowing him to fix up the cabin on the beach if Willy was okay with it. Of course, he had no problem, and Elliott fixed up the cabin as best he could! But ... Elliott is not an architect in the slightest, so there are a lot of problems with his house. In his eyes, it's temporary anyway, so he doesn't bother fixing up the musty thing anymore than it has to.

• His main goal in life isn't to be a best selling author, or a world renowned poet. He wants a life that's poetic and well-loved. It doesn't matter where he is, all that matters is that with someone he's deeply enamoured with. He wants to think back on his life and feel inspired by it. He wants others to be inspired by his life. He wants the cycle of art to outlive him in a way that transcends time. He is an artist, after all.

Some random SDV headcanon:

"If it was up to me, I'd probably have a pizza festival at the saloon instead..." Sam heard Shane grumbling during the Ice Festival, and thought Shane was a genius.... Pizza Festival, an entire festival dedicated to the food of the gods, coincidentally being his favourite meal! Now they must organise pizza party! 🍕

The two pizza lovers approached the Mayor about the idea, however Lewis wouldn't let them have the festival the next day as the residents weren't notified in advance, not enough money in the fund, blah blah blah.... So Shane and Sam decided to ask Gus for help, ordering about a dozen different pizzas and asked him to set up a tables outside.

From the morning, while Shane and Gus set up the table, Sam raced on his skateboard to each house announcing the festivities. Many people surprisingly liked the idea so much (after all, who wouldn't like a hot, delicious meal in the middle of winter?) that the Pelican Town residents decided to make pizzas, too, using their family recipes. Meat, veggies, pineapple, classic version, multiple cheeses, seafood, fruits and sweets - every topic you could imagine! Even the non-pizza lovers (Leah, Harvey and Willy), brought their own versions of baked goods, although in Leah and Harvey's case there are more vegetables than pizza itself, so the dish can safely be called a salad. But still, everyone enjoyed the feast, and Lewis is seriously considering making this an official festival next year.

Hey Poet! I’ve been loving the headcanons you’ve been writing and it’s got me thinking about a Mouse Hole crossover with Band of Brothers and/or The Pacific. Do you have any other thoughts on that, like ships or friendships that would come from that?

So I think a crossover with The Pacific would be a bit harder — mostly because B-17s were used primarily in the ETO if my googling and reading serves correct. There's accounts of B-17s being used in anti-naval bombing but they didn't really, ahem, hit anything. So whoever makes it to the end of the war would be the ones to meet (unless I dived into a Lady Marines AU, which I am not well-versed enough in to do right now)

I've said this before and I maintain that... Harriet and Malarkey crossing paths after the war is very beautiful to me. They both suffered the cold, both lost their undeniable best friend and had to process that grief while fighting for their lives in one way or another (Malarkey in Bastogne, Harriet in the Stalag). What they go through leaves them both fundamentally changed as people, noticeable enough that their friends have concerns. Harriet is pretty hard to track down after the war (she's there for June's wedding, but she misses Jo and Rosie's). Who's to say she and Malarkey don't cross paths stateside? I think they could both use that kind of friendship & healing.

In a world where these girls exist (I've thought about making them apart of the WAFH WIP canon. Thoughts? Opinions? Who's to say) a magazine cover of one Fern Carmine and Vivian Savorre (among others) with bright smiles walking away from a plane in their leather jackets and aviators has definitely made its way through some Toccoa barracks and one Lewis Nixon is possibly realizing he has a thing for redheads.

There is a small window of time before Bremen/Munster where the guys are in Aldbourne & most of the Mouse Hole crew hasn't been shot down yet. Who's to say who crosses paths on a weekend pass in consideration to officers

And of course there's always a.) AU where the 101st are pilots or b.) AU where the Mouse Hole girls are paratroopers but that's besides the point

In terms of friendships? I could see Inez and Shifty getting along pretty well, Harriet does generally get along with everybody so I think she could soften up even the most hardened of hearts. Willie and Lip would also probably get along pretty great — but I think Viv is a pretty tough shell to crack in terms of getting friendship from her that isn't her expertly evading personal questions.

Lorraine and Speirs? Funny in a scary way. I think Tab would probably develop a crush on June pretty quick before learning that she can and will fight just about anyone. I also think she'd be rightly annoyed by Liebgott. And Guarnere. And— [GETS YANKED OFFSTAGE]

I do think that Lena and a certain Andrew Haldane would make an extremely cute couple. Well-read jock and his wife who works on cars [ he's alive and well TO ME. ]

I think how Vivian interacts with Easy Company Officers is interesting because of how much of herself she tries to hide from others. But I think the girls who aren't officers would probably have more interactions with the guys in The Pacific.

Jo and Eugene? Nerds. Sweet little nerds (before the horrors). She, too, keeps a library in her footlocker, Bob Leckie.

This is also my realization that Sledge and Harriet grew up 2 hours from one another but Harriet's got a lot of family — maybe some is in Mobile. Why is she the touchstone here (I'm not mad about it).

I do think June and Hoosier could have a funny friendship though. I think they'd bicker but also take the piss out of most of their friends

..... A Chuckler and Carrie dynamic is also something I would like to see. Which is to say I think Carrie needs to continue to gather Large People who would go to war for her because she's two apples tall and is still finding her voice

Yes.

My dreams are...tricky, sometimes. I don't always remember them and sometimes they can be quite nightmarish. I have had dreams of him, though I cannot say that I remember them. I am aware that he has been in my dreams, but I cannot with certainty recall what they were.

Have you dreamed about him?

Would he be the type to dance with y/n?

Definitely!

Wonka seems to be very energetic and skilled at many things, especially the arts. He speaks various languages, sings, invents, reads classic literature, etc. so it would not be a big leap to assume that he would definitely be interested in dancing and music.

Gene's Willy Wonka strikes me as an old school romantic (even though I doubt he would openly admit to that at first) so I could see him being interested in ballroom dancing or something of the sort. I think Wonka is probably as quick on his feet as he is in wit.

I headcanon that he has a vinyl record collection and probably listens to a lot of classical music and piano compositions.

What are his favorite book(s)?

This is such a great question!!

Taking inspiration from canon, I would assume he reads lots of poetry, because a lot of his lines in canon which are reminiscent of or are direct quotes from classic literature are from poetry.

He also quotes a lot of Shakespeare, specifically "Romeo and Juliet", "As You Like It" and "The Merchant of Venice".

He quotes "Romeo and Juliet" twice, so I'd say it's safe to bet that it's one of his favorites. It really speaks to him as an individual because it is a tale of two young lovers, yet at the same time it is also a very tragic tale. The tale is light as well as dark, which is very personal to his own story and I could envision him relating to this story on a small scale.

I would say one of his favorite authors might be Lewis Carroll (he even has an uncanny resemblance to Lewis Carroll) and that he would like the Alice in Wonderland stories.
