diavolo is such an interesting, multifaceted character but tragically I legitimately feel like I cannot talk about that without getting a ten paragraph essay from lucifer/demon bros fans about how he's an evil abuser actually + secretly the main villain
so anyway he's my little meowmeow and he's never done anything wrong in his whole life

wanted to explore more of the descendants in Retrato de un Siglo so here's some Joaquin expression doodles
mini dump about my thoughts about his design below~
When designing Joaquin, I wanted him to be the complete opposite of his ancestor, Ignacio, unlike with Lia (who is meant to be a mix of both her own). Only the face shape, nose, and the signature smirk were inherited from him.
His hair is styled more modern and in with the current era. He's freely expressive and flamboyant, hosting a certain charm and endearment to visitors at the gallery. His round eyes indicate his innocence, from both the sins of his forefather, and the consequences it brought.
