I would like to take this moment to give a toast to Baek Inhyuk for watching his loser friend fall in love in every timeline but still supporting his loser antics with all the second hand embarrassment.

Things Baek Inhyuk has done till now to support his loser best friend Ryu Sunjae.

Made cherry blossoms fall from the sky.

Hauled his drunk ass from a bar with Taesong

Gave his friend the concept of "timing"

Watched him fuck up the timing and listen to him talk about how stunning Sol is. All. The. Time.

Wore many rings on his fingers

Watched Sol and Sunjae be lovey dovey all the time and stopped himself from upchuking the dude cause I would have.

I just realized something!

When Sun-Jae and Tae-Sung get tipsy in EP11, the song they are drunkenly singing as they run down the corridor is the cringeworthy birthday song Sol sang for Tae-Sung!

Do you know what this means?!

Tae-Sung took the time to teach it to Sun-Jae and they then used Sol's name for the chorus! What a couple of dorks!

P. S. I'm now picturing present timeline Sun-Jae sulking after he recalls that song's backstory and then begging Sol to sing it to him, swapping Tae-Sung's name for his!

I still can't stop thinking about Lovely Runner. And when I do, I can't stop crying. I find myself just bursting into tears whenever I have a moment to myself and I start thinking about it. I just miss it so terribly and it's only or already (depending on how you look at it) been 4 days. And I miss Sol, Sun Jae, Tae Sung, In Hyuk, and all the others so so much. I can barely look at them without crying sometimes.

I woke up feeling so depressed and empty today. How am I supposed to just go on with my life without them... :'( I know I'm being so dramatic but I can't help it. I really loved the ending and I'm so happy they (and we) got their happy ending, but I'm still not ready to say goodbye and let them go... :'(

I don't remember if I've ever felt this much and been this sad after a drama has ended before :'( I need to go rewatch all the cute and funny scenes again to hopefully stop feeling so depressed.

I vote to give the watch to Tae Sung and In Hyuk. Been a fan of Tae Sung's quick wit and ability to quickly read a situation for a bit now but In Hyuk actually is a lot saner than I first thought. He is also quite perceptive but I guess his intelligence and ability to reason gets overshadowed by Sun Jae's absolute loserism when it comes to Sol.

Let those two handle it. They will make some wise choices to break this circle. This way we have two people acting with the best interests of both leads.

Tae Sung and Baek In Hyuk will singlehandedly double-handedly and voluntarily, free of cost, for the sake of their own sanity, take care of the taxi driver, fate, coincidence, universe, open plot lines. I am sure they are open to more suggestions for the list!

Lovely Runner had the perfect run. The whole premise of it being a fantasy romcom was perfectly written, perfectly executed with a beautiful cast.

Sunjae and Sol were fated to be each other's soulmate. Their love blooms from their soul. So deep the bond that fates intervened when evils of society cut their time short. And in all of this the grandma was their fairy godmother.

The writers really need to be applauded because this was the sweetest and in the same time such a simple story. Timeloop dramas get loopy because logic but there's nothing stopping this magic. It was so well done truly.

Every scene you will think you can predict the direction will surprise you. Sometimes it's just belly aching laughter, Sometimes pure angst, Sometimes happiness that is a smile from ear to ear.

Thank you to the actors too. Actors who really bring in a personality beyond the writing and make the works more valuable have my whole heart.

Although we got a happy ending and I'm super happy that Sunjae remembered Sol and every moment they spent together, I'm kind of bummed that Taesung and Inhyuk had no recollection of the wonderful moments they shared. Remember when Sunjae and Taesung were flexing their muscles while carrying tubs to collect the water from leaking? They fought but then saved each other and had a sleepover. I also miss the time when Taesung and Sunjae almost became best friends and drank together, and then Inhyuk had to bring them back. I loved when they traveled to Inhyuk's hometown and had a blast. "Lovely Runner" is one of the best youth romance dramas, as well as a phenomenal tale of friendship. I just wanted Taesung and Inhyuk to also remember everything. A few questions remain unanswered, or am I being too greedy? I just love this drama so much; it's my entire Roman Empire! 😭💜

I thought another person was time traveling too, but it turns out it was only Sol. Maybe Halmeoni too in her own timeslip?

Man, I'm not ready for Lovely Runner to end in just a few days. It's like the one thing that has helped me get through my current work project in the past two months. I hadn't mentioned on here how much I loved it because... Well, I guess I wanted to keep it to myself until it ended, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I should start steeling myself for the finale 😭😭😭
