𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘄 - 𝗔 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀⁣ ⁣ Every year, on the third Monday of July, I feel and sound like a broken record. But until my vocabulary improves and I find newer words to capture and showcase my emotions and excitement, here’s another rendition of the said old tune.⁣ ⁣ With all due respect to the one in the Golden State as well as my undying reverence and admiration for my friends who have run/won it, 𝘙𝘶𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘸: 𝘈 𝘍𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴 is an event I affectionately call the 𝘔𝘪𝘥-𝘞𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘌𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘙𝘶𝘯. Children of all ages get to play outside in this 2-day multi-stage festival and holds a special place in many of our hearts. For the second year in a row, infusion of youth from the Land of Lincoln and experience from other parts of midwest added to the friendly and family atmosphere that most of us have come to love cherish.⁣ ⁣ Back in the pre- and early years of running and cross country skiing (I mean, watching others do them), it was my old hobby of dabbling with photographic equipment that eventually led to learning more about running and cross country skiing. For the second year in a row, I didn’t run in any stage of RTK but was fortunate enough to be trusted to capture photographic memories from behind a camera.⁣ ⁣ Knowing the region, scouting the course some more and knowing what I’d like to see in race photos helped me get to strategic locations along the way, and helped keep my old hobby alive. Getting to see the unconditional service from many behind the scenes, the intangible grit and perseverance in the participants as well as capturing the tangible expressions on their faces in a multi-day, multi-stage event for keepsakes was a lot of fun. Dream trip: i actually just got back from my dream trip i guess LOL, which is going to japan and seeing family again (❁´▽`❁)

Currently watching: i am like three episodes away from finishing blue lock, and then my sister has been yelling at me to watch but im a cheerleader, so ill watch that soon to :3
