Yuzo Koshiro's template for stratum music in the early Etrian titles always interested me. 1-2 1-2 3 being one of the most prevalent structure for the songs in order to make sure they all get stuck in your head but still have that neat little flourish before they start back again. I was also enamored with the world the games took place in and the visual themes each of the original games played with. Etrian II's seasonal themes were all lovely, but the fifth stratum being a flying sky castle evoked some additional Ghibli vibes the giant tree alone didn't. One thing I enjoy while playing with the themes from the older DS era games is listening to isolated aspects of each track and exploring minimalist routes that can draw out different moods. You'd be surprised how easy it is to miss certain details when all the instruments are playing at once. You might also be surprised how much fun it can be to add a few extra channels in there for additional detail.

So I've finished combining the seven twitch streams I did on The Story of Thor 2 on SEGA Saturn that The Legend of Oasis to our American readers.

I have edited them down quite a bit as well to make them a better watch. All the collectable are shown along with all the in-game Easter Eggs I know about.

Enjoy it, remains a true classic on SEGA Saturn and is long overdue a re-release alongside the Mega Drive original.

Etrian Odyssey's Claret Hollows hold a special place in my heart. As in my heart warns me to never replay that stratum again.

I realized that on it's own the music for Claret Hollows is sort of unusual in that it does NOT follow Koshiro's general rule of thumb for other stratum themes and as such needed something a little extra to tie it all together. This song has a loopable variant, but I wanted to just have this particular MP3 end where it started: The beginning of an adventure. I hope all of you enjoy this one, as it took me almost all of today to get it tied together and it's definitely something I'm proud to get an opportunity to arrange all the pieces properly.
