i tried smth different here . not v proud of it though & i'll probably remake it one day but hes still cuutes

and yeah the only characters that are bugs are the ones generated through melife . if i had to choose a bug for 4S though he'd probably be a giant spiny assassin bug

the osc mischaracterizes characters for ships so badly to the point no character development matters to them.

using ii as an example, (hoo boy this is gonna be a long one.)

in nearly every fic, every hc post, every c.ai bot, every fan video, anything that includes ships, they will play off every part of the characters personality just so the ship looks neater

like with silver spoon in silverbrush, in almost every ship media you see him turned either into a helpless twink or a evil narcissistic brute.

and though he DOES have character traits that could be seen as these, they dont show any other traits of his.

is it harder to show things such as his low self esteem and such in ship fics? yes. have i also seen people portray it very well in fics (what comes to mind is user anxiety_spoon on ao3, they do very well in their fics not straying far from canon and in character.)? also, yes!

and this isnt just in silver spoons ships too, youll see characters like yinyang, balloon, trophy, knife, baseball, clover, and even mephone4 himself dumbed down to a powerbottom who cannot survive without whoever theyre being shipped with.

and the thing that bugs me is, the personalities and contrasts of the characters are what makes the ships endearing. you cant have trophy become a helpless dog for, say, knife because it makes the ship look good.

ships are ALLOWED to have contrasting characters that dont fit into certain tropes, thats what fandom spaces are for

and it does far more harm than good to dumb every ship down to twink/alpha or strong/weak.

this likely doesnt make sense, im half awake and running on half a bagel, but i just wanted to let that out.

dude. what part of "he was acting out of fear because he didn't want to get manipulated by balloon since he did have story with him back then in s1, and wanted to protect his friends/alliance, and EVEN IF HE MESSED UP A LOT WITH SUITCASE AND BALLOON, it wasn't out of malice, but out of misguided fear and lack of proper communication that turned into something worse due to Nickel's nature." you don't get. it's not about forgetting what he did or treating him as likeable or anything. he very much didn't forgive himself over what happened and let BALLOON HIMSELF KNOW that he DIDN'T have to forgive him. he is OKAY with accepting his faults and with balloon not wanting to be part of that change because HE RECOGNIZES THAT HE WAS AN ASSHOLE TO SUITCASE AND TO HIM. CLOVER'S THERAPY SESSION DID SOMETHING TO HIM. HE'S TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR HIS ACTIONS.

of course i can totally get not liking him on s2, he wasn't really one of my faves but hey! he grew and recognized that what he did was wrong! adam himself said that he did care about suitcase and bb, but his lack of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE doomed their alliance. nickel isn't justifying himself with "oh but i was scared of balloon", he is accepting that his fear towards him changed into something else that he couldn't control.

also btw have you considered that they didn't know what to do with nickel on s2. if you deeply analyze him it makes sense as to why he changed so much on s3. "ohhhhh but he was a dick to Suitcase since the start" again. have you considered that nickel's writing has changed a lot over time. he's pure snark there but even then still cared mid-late s2. i could do a whole separate post analyzing his relationship with Suitcase from both of their perspectives but that's not the point. if that was the point of his thing with suitcase it wouldn't made sense for nickel to say "i just wanted to keep what we had".

AS WELL I WANT TO NOTE SOMETHING. His relationship with Balloon getting better WASN'T out of nowhere. On the comics, Balloon sent Nickel a letter when he wanted to fix things with others, and maybe that was also a factor that played for Nickel too. Remember that Nickel is a guy that acts first and thinks later. As well, Balloon references that Nickel and him used to trick Yinyang back at the Hotel. Nickel changed a lot in s3 and didn't have Baseball who was excusing his unhealthy behaviour either. Box helped these two to grow for the better.

tl;dr: nickel has one of those arcs that i need to study like a bug and everyone still treating him like a villain despite wanting to grow and understanding that his actions were terribly wrong is so funny to me. also balloon very much did end up liking the guy genuinely when they were friends as well. people can grow and change. people who had terrible relationships can heal and can get better.

Some concept art i've been making in the bg.

Raaf is pretty much the same. Even though I like the idea of him having feather dreads, they don't really work irl. So instead they're just regular feathers he slicks down with gel to give a thinner look.

Vitur has been completely redesigned. He's still a parental figure to Raaf and a higher up in his tribe. He has a modest aviary where he rescues and raises vultures.

Noft and Omadula are new characters. Oma is a drone shaman who loves golden ladybugs. His mentor died before Oma could fully complete training. He is somewhere between Vitur and Raaf in status being occasionally mentored by the former.

Noft is an odd old mud who, while kind, mostly keeps to herself. She needs to take on a new student but does not want to. Vitur bothers her about it a lot so she avoids him and Raaf.

Raaf likes to tease an amphibious form of Slog when he's frustrated. I don't have a name for them yet but they fill the role of piranhas and hunt Grogs. When tamed they're semi-independent like a cat.

Then there are the wooden boats sligs and muds use to traverse the swamps. They can fit two muds or three sligs at a time. Underneath are updated icons to represent some of the tribes in the area. The bug lotus is the corvokon symbol, snake plant is for the sligs, and the yinyang with hearts is Jarta's business logo.

Working on an Infection AU W/ a friend rn lmao here are my designs

AU INFO

Stage one - The infection starts to spread through the bite wound, Victim as mentioned before will feel nauseous and scared. Their eyes will also feel as if they were bugging out

Stage Two - around 5 minutes after being bitten the victims eyes will be sunken in slightly and will be puking blood almost constantly. And there will be sharp pains from their sides.

Stage 3 - Around 30 minutes after being bitten the eyes will sink in more, they will be done puking blood but they will have cannibalistic urges,and the sharp pains were because of spider legs, which will start growing out from this stage forward. The middle part of the victims head/ facial area will start to grow a long vertical mouth with multiple layers of teeth

Stage 4 - 1h and 30 minutes after being bit limbs would have started to rot, depending on the victim around this stage they might’ve been fully rotted off by now. The spider legs are now fully grown out of their sides, 3 layers of them. The middle mouth would be done developing and extra eyes might start popping up among the body.

Stage 5 - 7 hours after being bitten, the infection has fully taken over the victim. The urges of cannibalism would be worse going on, this stage is also the most infectious. Among being killed it lets out an infectious gas.

within the lore, I think this might be possible, or at least the turtle/bee one.

you get the wish from creation/destruction not just because those two are the yk pillars of existence but also because those two are a complimentary pairing.

so the miraculous of attack, the bee, and the miraculous of protection, the turtle, SHOULD imo totally give some sort of bonus power. There is still room to make this canon, because I don't think we've ever seen any other yinyang pair be unified except in the case of Bug Noire, right? PLUS Ladybug was able to create a new power just by imagining it, so I bet a powerful miraculous user could conceptualize a stronger type of unification 🤔

I know I talked about it before, but Miraculous Ladybug's Unification power kind of sucks.

Yes, you get to use multiple miraculous at once but you dont get to use the powers COMBINED.

Like Imagine the Horse miraculous and Cat miraculous.

Portals + Destruction = BLACK HOLE

Or How about Tiger + Ox

Invulnerability + Collision = Unstoppable force

OR The Ladybug + Fox

Illusions + Creation = Construct creation

Turtle + Bee

Shield + Stun = Perfect Prison/ Capture Sphere

There are so many capabilities we could have seen with the unification power.

Plus Imagine Bug noire using the powers of Creation and destruction and gaining the ability to just Alter matter or if Gimmi is concerned. REALITY WARPING

So I guess I have the right to post whatever I like (as long as obey the platform rules)? Plus, there isn't any download link of LMC now because I'm still fixing the bug. The LMC stuff can't work well in the latest version of game. Last week I finished the update of Taichi-Yinyang. This week comes the Starstrails and Starspiral hopefully.

Why update so slow? Because I don't have enough time for doing this. I've quit making ts4 cc for years and I have to spend my time finish other tasks in my real life.
