Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers.
doing this bc @antimony-medusa did it and i wasn't tagged so i didn't wanna impose but i wanted to do it SO.
your fingers might be green, 2718 words—a short sci-fi(ish) domestic dream smp emduo fic set on a rural alien planet. technoblade is autistic + has ptsd, wilbur is autistic + deaf + a little kid that they're raising, and it leans a bit toward romantic but can absolutely be read as queerplatonic.
heavy stones fear no weather, 1032 words—a very short genshin impact fic about xiao and zhongli after the events of the 2.7 archon quest (interlude act II). non-sexual bondage, but contains nudity and does imply some sort of complicated zhongxiao relationship. (not for the dadson dynamic enjoyers—you guys can do what you want but you're no more canon than zhongxiao is so let me live)
if i unfold like a flower, 6903 words—a female general eldest princess/tgcf crossover. only one tgcf character actually makes an appearance if i remember correctly (yushi huang) but lin wanyue and li xian both ascend as heavenly officials and fall in love after their ascension. this is probably my absolute favorite of all the fics i've written.
black porcelain, 5315 words—another fgep fic, set in SPACE! lin wanyue is an assassin hired to kill li xian's brother, featuring background polycule of lin feixing/lin yu/yu wan. i really love this one but the ending is a bit ambiguous because i'd initially been planning to write a continuation of it.
all these colors fade for you, 3176 words—wow, another fgep fic? who could've expected this. (all of my favorite fics are my most underappreciated ones. sigh). li xian is a gang boss and lin wanyue is her wife and right-hand woman. this is really just slice of life but they're gang members, tbh, full of lots of gay fluff. it's an old fic of mine so i think my writing in general has improved since i wrote this but despite that i still love this fic so much. it's just really nice

👫 (gao ying x wrio, gao ying x baizhu)
Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship | @yuexian
no longer accepting.
wrio & gao ying
gao ying's presence is a genuine comfort to him. there's simply something so calming about gao ying that puts him at ease, and he gets so used to having him around that when he's not there, it feels like something is missing. he also sleeps better with gao ying at his side.
wrio was never one for writing letters before gao ying. mostly, this was because he had no one to write to, but it was also just... not something he was interested in. any correspondence he engaged in was purely for work purposes. after gao ying, however... well, he starts to enjoy putting thoughts and feelings down on paper, and it helps to lessen the ache when they can't be together for long periods of time. he keeps every letter gao ying sends him in a little box that he stores in one of the (many) secret compartments of his personal chambers.
he takes a huge interest in liyue culture and history, and targets specific information regarding chenyu vale & anything related to gao ying's life. he's always had a general interest in other cultures & he makes a point to learn basic things from each, so he can accommodate anyone who comes into the fortress, but he definitely makes an active attempt to learn everything he can that might be important to his partner.
as soon as wrio is made aware that gao ying's puppet body is failing, he makes every effort to research adeptal energy and even puts together a (small, discreet) team in an attempt to help him. and whilst he doesn't consult gao ying before doing this, it is always his intention - should he find a way to fix it - to offer it only as an option. if gao ying wants to find peace, wrio would let him, even if would break his heart to lose him.
baizhu & gao ying
baizhu fell fast and hard for gao ying. and it took him a while to even consider acting on it, due to his belief that he would outlive him. initially, he had no intention of acting on his feelings, but a passing comment from gui about not letting opportunities slip by prompted him to take the risk of inevitable pain. thus, he started inviting gao ying to tea, asking to accompany him on a stroll, etc... slow, small steps, but it was a start.
gao ying reconnects baizhu with his home. not the actual village, as that has long disappeared to nature, but to chenyu vale as a whole. baizhu has avoided going back since signing the contract with changsheng, but with gao ying hailing from qiaoying village, he finds himself returning and rekindling his love for the area. he even takes gao ying to the place his village once stood and tells him stories from his childhood.
baizhu reveals his intentions for immortality once they start getting serious. he wanted gao ying to be aware of his mission, of the effects his contract has on his body, in case that had an impact on the future of their relationship - he wanted gao ying to be aware that he couldn't grow old with him, either because he achieved immortality, or because he died in the attempt. he cared enough to allow gao ying a chance to escape before they got too involved, to avoid that pain and heartache. this is, obviously, before he discovers gao ying isn't exactly mortal himself.
baizhu crafts a variety of potions and oils to specifically aid adeptal construct bodies once he is aware of gao ying's situation. these have a selection of purposes: to aid mental fatigue (since gao ying doesn't need to sleep), to keep the joints of his puppet body from wear, to aid any pain that can't be helped by mortal medicines, or to soothe any other ails he might suffer. these are all scented with gao ying's favourite scents, or flavoured to his tastes. no bitter medicine for his beloved-

"Princess, don't ever leave me!" - Chapter 142
In the scene where Lin Wanyue tells this to Li Xian, Lin Wanyue just got injured really badly and is losing conscience due to blood loss.
There is, of course, the practical reason of Lin Wanyue knowing her identity is going to be revealed sooner or later, so the best case scenario is to have another woman by her side and trust that Li Xian will understand.
But if you think of it in the narrative sense, this line can be interpreted as Lin Wanyue pleading Li Xian to not leave her behind, to stop seeing her as a chess piece. And it worked!
This is the turning point at which Li Xian views Lin Wanyue differently. She protects Lin Wanyue's identity solely out of her compassion. It is what prompted Li Xian to reveal the secrets she kept from Lin Wanyue via the spies she left behind after Lin Wanyue had revealed her biggest secret to her.
With Lin Wanyue's personality, she is definitely upset by Li Xian's schemes behind the scenes, but then you can also see Lin Wanyue later on adopting and finding value in Li Xian's methods. A younger Wanyue would never have thought of colluding with the Huns to stop further war with how focused she was on revenge.
Okay I don't know how to end this post but can you tell how good Yuexian as a relationship is, or maybe I'm just too consumed by Yuexian brainrot and overanalysing things.

@yuexian sent a message . . . lonely were those who stood at the top — seemingly untouchable, but all it took was time. time and patience to await a crack to slither into. not like a snake, as that implied malicious intent. gāo yīng was rumored to "lack" negative emotions, but certain people knew that was a complete lie. even he — a genius society member with a penchant for cultivating tea leaves, possessed a kaleidoscope of feelings. it was one of the few things they could not take away from him.
there he was in an instant — jade green eyes narrowed in concern, before lips found the halovian's forehead. he would also plant one along his jawline if permitted, then took a step back and return to his work. gāo yīng was a human soul in a puppet body — that much was already known. he cannot blush, yet the electrical current coursing through his body rushed to his cheeks, and he wondered if every little action such as this will make him feel this way.
ㅤㅤㅤ𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐚𝐧'𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 to maintain an icy heart - to allow smiles of only politeness or platitudes to grace his darling features. a position of such power - such prestige, with the watchmaker's legacy at stake... cracks were not permitted in the marble facade that constructed sunday, breaches of his true nature were not allowed. for all the world knew - the halovian kept his distance from all except his sweet sister - robin, the lovely songstress, the light that cast his shadow, and now she was-
ㅤㅤㅤthat's when the cracks started showing.
ㅤㅤㅤbut no one knew. no one knew right? gāo yīng didn't know - did he? no one could know, no one could know -
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤthere it was. the crack.
ㅤㅤㅤit spreads through his veins - one little splinter at a time. to most - it was imperceptible; sunday was the same as always - but to the intelligent, one of the rare few that knew him ( robin had known him - robin had known him best, and he could be so cruel, he could - ), his pain was there. any other time - perhaps he would have fended off the genius' tender touch - but not today. he doesn't even detect it - doesn't even realize until green eyes fill his vision, and cool lips meet his forehead.
ㅤㅤㅤsurprise dances across his beautiful features, the wings at his head splaying wide in wonder. he looks up at gāo yīng with aureate so divine - so curious - his lips part to say something, and then those plush tiers are back, warming his jawline and sunday sucks in a breath, short and sharp. his wings betray him - as they are wont to do - fluttering excitedly at the side of his head before one folds forward - downy feathers stroking along the puppet's cheek as he moves to pull away. it's almost as if the wing pleads him: come back, we want more, but sunday makes no such advances. instead, he inhales - and exhales... and as pink rises over his pallor, those same wings fold inwards, shyly covering the majority of his face below his eyes as he speaks again. the halovian's gaze is averted - but his words are true, shyness mitigated by candor of his tone.
ㅤㅤㅤ❝ again? ❞ is his request, because the crack has stopped spreading.
