Voyager should have had an episode where the command trio beat the absolute hell out of each other while blaming each other for being stuck in the delta quadrant as the fever pitch of a rising tension that was building throughout the episode.
Like, they're absolutely being pushed to do it by some outside force. Maybe it's a telepathic being - maybe it's that they're stuck in some arena or an alien court or a time loop only the three of them are aware of - no matter the specifics, the sentiment behind their words has to be true and it has to be something they've been keeping back for months, maybe years. That fear and hatred and blame that doesn't really have an actual target because it's not actually rational but 'who's to blame' doesn't have to be capital T true to feel true. If Chakotay hadn't been in the badlands, If Janeway hadn't made that choice, If Tuvok hadn't supported it...
"You trapped us here. It's your fault. If you hadn't-! If you hadn't-! If you hadn't-!" are just echoes of "I trapped us here. It's my fault. If I hadn't-! If I hadn't-! If I hadn't-!" Because at the end of the day more than being angry or hateful they're despairing in their own ways.
Episode probably has a somber end - they beat whatever it was and it's a victory! They won by working together even after they beat each other half to death! But after the celebration we see them alone in their quarters...silent. Gazing out at the stars, into a candle's flame, at that same family picture before turning away. Because even though they won they're still there in the delta quadrant. Is that really victory?
some of the comments on the posts are insane. They genuinely don’t know what the show is about and when they get told what it’s actually about, they still refuse to watch it. There is no changing their minds which is sad because they’re going to miss out on a beautiful show.
“Don’t care about this show about eating expensive foods.”
“Actually! It’s not about expensive foods! It’s about bringing light to some amazing foods from different cultures!”
“What do you mean it’s not expensive?! What about the flights?! The hotels?! The people they have to feed?!”
It’s so confused 😭
Honestly at this point I don't care if they watch it or not!!! I just wish they would move on like they claimed they would when they supposedly all unsubscrubed and decided they'd hate the boys forever based on a decision that was 1) misrepresented and 2) entirely reversed!!!
I mean, its a shame because Travel Season is really delightful and a beautiful (and respectful) exploration of culture which is absolutely 100% part of what art and media is meant for but its clear these people don't want anything of substance and would rather make themselves look like dumbass clowns than admit they maybe overreacted or walk back on their own decision (funny how that works) because of spite alone.
And don't get me started on how hypocritical and transparently wrong or racist all the arguments are against this show. I dont take a single one of these people seriously, they have zero media literacy and are not worth the effort of engagement.
Tbh, nothing has made me sympathize more with Kipperlilly Copperkettle than her anger issues.
Cause anger is an emotion we feel when we're missing something. When we need something and can't get it. It's a balm to make us feel better when things don't go our way.

here's a few more Deltarune Monsterswap Kris doodles, and this time I'll toss a handful of related headcanons and tidbits below the cut!
- Kris's origins are unknown prior to Asriel finding them digging around in trash cans in front of the house when they were tiny; they seemed to have been living on their own for a while, eating anything they could get their paws on and avoiding strangers. they might not remember their time on the streets, but they still have a habit of eating weird things-- even when they're not really hungry. if you offer it to them they WILL eat it, that is both a promise and a threat.
- they initially didn't like to communicate outside of a variety of dog noises, and for the first couple years the Dreemurrs weren't actually sure if they could talk at all. they still tend to prefer growls, barks, and whines though, since many sounds used in everyday speech are a bit difficult for them to make and their paws lack the dexterity(and 1 finger) for some sign language. they can still talk though with a bit of effort, and may write out responses or spell in ASL if they're struggling too much with pronunciation. they struggle worse when frustrated or upset due to trying to speak through a growl.
- more of Kris's behaviors carry over from dogs and wolves than just their sounds and appearance; seeing if Susie's head can fit in their mouth once they're pals isn't just a goofy joke (though it's definitely a goofy joke on her part). it's actually their weird attempt at nibbling like a wolf-- a sign of affection and friendliness. nobody in Hometown actually knows enough about wolves to pick up on that, though, so they don't try it with anyone other than Susie since they know she won't panic. she just thinks it's the silliest thing ever.
- Kris is actually a monster loosely based on 'el cadejo,' a mythical dog spirit from Central America. whereas dark-furred cadejos are believed to be malevolent and dangerous beings, white-furred ones are seen as benevolent protectors and guides. their color palette swap between dark and light world references this; in the light world they have dark brown and tan fur with red eyes, but in the dark world they're white and silver-furred with blue eyes. notably, the dark cadejo is also associated with the devil-- paralleling Kris's devil horns they wore as a child. and likewise, their benevolent side is associated with angels, in line with the 'angel' that may or may not be the Player.
Now on the horizon, Eadwulf thinks he can see white smoke. Somewhere in there are two ships. He’s relieved they’re far away. It won’t be a bother for them to get around the trouble.
“Pirates?” Jester wonders. She sounds dangerously thrilled by the concept.
“They’ve raised the black. They’re hunting,” Fjord lowers his spyglass, and he glances around the ship. The Emerald Heart doesn’t have cannons. Eadwulf has checked. He doesn’t have to know ships to know that this one was not made with battle in mind. Should they go into a fight, they have no hope of helping.
Eadwulf also knows that Fjord leans towards heroics. And it wears on his morals to abandon a fight, even if he cannot win.
“They’ll be upon them before we can reach,” Eadwulf offers, to ease Fjord’s worries.
“Not if I can help it!” Jester calls. She immediately begins weaving a spell.
Fjord nods, and a wide grin spreads on his face. It’s a dangerous grin. Eadwulf is blindsided with a wave of homesickness. How many times has he seen that smile on Astrid’s face?
