im not properly following sword af bc i never finished the first season, but i DID go and listen to the bit where angela (as bug) presumably tries to go for a kiss with amanda (as delores) and. MAN. Amanda's reaction to it....... the "whoa whoa whoa" and amanda's voice getting that kind of breathless quality that it sometimes gets when shes really amused or shes laughing really hard or overwhelmed in videos.......... mannnnn. sets off my rpf brain So Bad. Not implying anything about the actual interaction as much as. Thinking about the delicious potential in the fake rpf universe..... I'm so goddamn weak for the concept of RPF Amanda who flirts incessantly and is so confident in it and loves, loves flirting with Angela specifically- in part because she never expects anything to come of it, (for better or for worse) and Angela's flustered reactions or tendency to not play into the bit make it safe in a backwards way. Amanda flirts, Angela rolls her eyes/commits a bit but always bails out safely, etc. (Amanda keeps flirting, maybe harder, maybe it gets more and more ridiculous and over the top, and maybe she should- stop. But. She can't.)

And then Angela flirts back unexpectedly or spontaneously, and its like. Implosion. Function shutdown. The absolute charismatic force of nature that is Amanda brought to a halt, because hey wait NO, that's not supposed to happen. Its such a delicious concept. rpf brain go brrrrr.

There's the angst side if it, if you want- Amanda silently convinced it wont happen or somewhat in denial about her own feelings, or doing some kind of mental gymnastics where the flirting is as close as she'll get. (Angela convinced it's not real and having mixed feelings about it as a result.)

And then they're doing something and for one reason or another Angela initiates and Amanda's brain goes WHOA WHOA WHOA- and Amanda's charisma and composure go sideways even though for anyone else she could play it off so easily. there's so much comedic potential. delicious potential. etc. 👌

the series is pg 13 so aside from the magical girl gun bit with sato dark never gets Actually Shot or anything but sometimes i Do wonder about the range of reactions that would happen to anybody watching dark get badly hurt or caught live. there's always the law-related group that'd either cheer or have complicated, mixed feelings to see dark get wrecked, then there's the group that knows dark == daisuke and the sort of intense worry that comes with that. nobody who knows daisuke's character intimately is probably going to want to see him get hurt? but he's still a criminal, still a phantom thief, and a terribly infamous one at that. beneath the theatrics, the drama, the crowds, the secret identity that everyone believes is its own sort of truth, is nothing more than the cute lil guy that you want to believe is innocent and has a good heart. grievously injuring him would be just taking things too far. and yet if something ever did happen and dark crashed, he'd still be swarmed with cops and hunters trying to catch and cart him off. it doesn't matter, and nobody knows him. to people like that he's just dark.

I saved nearly 340 wishes waiting for Arlecchino over the last few months. I normally have terrible luck and haven't won a 50/50 since my very first 5 star character banner (I've since gotten 12 additional and have lost every 50/50 along the way). Normally I need to wish roughly 160 times to secure the banner specific 5 star.

Anyway, my pity was about 20 and I did my first ten pull on Arlecchino.... she was the first wish, and on a 50/50. I won my 50/50.... with only 10 wishes spent. I literally stood up and began pacing while nearly crying. Thank you genshin. Thank you father 😭😭💕💕💕💕💕

just found out abt the silksong delay and tbh i think i would be more upset if a) i wasnt kind of expecting it by now b) i hadnt been lowkey worried for Several Years that it'd come out very close to another highly anticipated game, making my wallet cry and my hyperfixations battle for dominance leaving only chaos and ruin in their wake

#READING IS SUCH A THRILL DID Y'ALL KNOW ABOUT THIS #i've acquired two books off that queerplatonic ace rep rec list so far and i am. thrilled about it #the first one is not like. Extraordinary haha but i read like two hundred and sixty pages last night and it was enjoyable!#i have to remember that ya fiction is ya fiction sometimes. haha #but!!! ordered another one online (first one is a library book which was SO fulfilling to go grab) and it got here today and i'm SO pumped #reviews online were largely positive + complimented the like. visuals and dark fairy tale feel to it #and while one review said that the prose wasn't that good (i am always looking for writing that is Technically good)#(technically as in like. the technical aspects of it are well done. it's well executed)#i am still excited about the kind of character dynamics it promises me #i'll take some clumsy prose if it gets me platonic intimacy. i swear to god i will #ALSO IT'S ABOUT THE WILD HUNT AND I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THE WILDHUNT #and i was promised nonbinary knight character??? so. new fixation incoming perhaps #only choice now is whether to finish the first one or jump right into the next haha #i have what. less than a hundred pages of not even bones to finish?#i should get through that one haha #apparently it's a trilogy and the qpr comes in later so :rolling_eyes:#we'll see if i'm invested enough #or i'll read the webtoon or smth haha #I FUCKING LOVE THE LIBRARY I CAN REQUEST + HOLD THE NEXT TWO BOOKS #god. using public utilities is such a rush #anyway!!!! excited excited :)#valentine notes
