Pero la tensión en el aire lo obliga a mirar hacia otro lado por un momento, como si buscara la forma de ordenar sus propios pensamientos. Regresa su mirada al masculino antes de que una confesión escape de sus labios, más suave de lo que había planeado, casi como si hablara consigo mismo en vez de con la otra persona. "No entiendo por qué no me siento mejor." admite con un tono roto, cargado de frustración y algo más oscuro que no puede controlar del todo. "Esa noticia debió alegrarme… debió dejarme respirar, al menos un poco. Pero no lo hizo." el pelinegro suspira profundamente, y su voz se quiebra con cada palabra que sigue, a pesar de que intenta contenerlo. "Todo se ha intensificado, como si la necesidad de llegar aumentara al saber que me están esperando. Cada día que no llego, les estoy fallando." su mirada se desvía en cuanto sus ojos se cristalizan, la cabeza inclinándose hacia atrás mientras cierra los ojos con fuerza. Se esfuerza por recomponerse, por no dejar que la vulnerabilidad se apodere de él, pero su postura traiciona la batalla interna. Exhala lentamente, intentando retomar algo de control sobre sí mismo. Sin embargo, cualquier otro pensamiento queda en pausa al escuchar las últimas palabras del otro. Abre los ojos y fija su atención en él, la preocupación reemplazando momentáneamente su propio dolor. "¿Tu hermano está bien? ¿Has logrado hablar algo con él?" cuestiona, queriendo saber estado ajeno, no le conocía pero al ser una persona importante para Asher, quería asegurarse. Tras un breve silencio, vuelve a hablar. "No debes culparte por no notarlo. Estamos pasando por demasiadas cosas. Lo importante es que está aquí, contigo, pudo volver." la sinceridad en sus palabras es palpable, un intento torpe pero genuino de recordarle que, a pesar del caos, todavía hay algo que rescatar de entre las ruinas. "¿Por qué se salió? Si no te molesta que pregunte."
