very true!!! ive seen a lot of debate surrounding the kid, including some who think it may be bingos instead of blueys. and while i personally disagree with that, i still like seeing different ppls interpreations of the future heeler family :)

it would be cute if the kid was adopted!!! iirc the only adoptive representation in bluey is....missy i think?? ik in "pass the parcel" shes shown running up to her mom who looks nothing like her and is a completely different breed, so ppl theorized that she might be adopted. + ik ppl rly wanted brandy to adopt a kid after "onesies," but now that shes pregnant i dont think theyll go that route. personally i think the kid is blueys biologically, but it would definitely be interesting if they were adopted!!!!

I can just imagine Giorno being in his own world (coming up with plans or thinking about the next meeting) and then someone will come up to him to ask him about something.

And then, POOF! Giorno's hair becomes all frizzy, like a cat's tail when he's startled!

Bonus: I'd think it'd be very fluffy whenever he gets startled, and it takes him some time to comb it down to his usual hairdo.

If we’re talking about evolution stories (sorry, it’s a bit long), I’d have to say Chiru, my Altaria, takes the cake. At the time we met, I was doing both the Paldean Gym Challenge and my combined bachelors’-PhD program, so you can imagine I was pretty damn busy.

Chiru helped with a lot of that—he wasn’t only a good battler, but he was great at cleaning up around my dorm, so I relied on him a lot.

But eventually everything just piled up too much—too many assignments, the training schedule I had was too rough, and all of my Pokémon needed more care than I could handle giving. Luckily one of my classmates was kind enough to hold on to most of my partners until I was feeling better, except for Wolfgang and Chiru. Poor Chiru was besides himself trying to help out while I was stuck in my dorm doing nothing but work and sleep: he probably cleaned the place five times over each day. Until one day, when I could barely get out of bed, Chiru flew to my side, started glowing with a brilliant light, and evolved into Altaria. He started singing some really silly songs right after that, and didn’t quit until I dragged myself to the dining hall for food and took a shower. I honestly think he evolved just to cheer me up, and I think it shows how there really couldn’t be a better therapy Pokémon for me.

As for the names: Ringogo, my Appletun, is a funny one. I was a pretty big fan of Kantonian culture at the time, so I knew I wanted to use their word for apple, “ringo”, somewhere in there. But then he just started rolling away at light speed, and, well… Ringogo it was!

probably time for this story i guess but when i was a kid there was a summer that my brother was really into making smoothies and milkshakes. part of this was that we didn't have AC and couldn't afford to run fans all day so it was kind of important to get good at making Cool Down Concoctions.

we also had a patch of mint, and he had two impressionable little sisters who had the attitude of "fuck it, might as well."

at one point, for fun, this 16 year old boy with a dream in his eye and scientific fervor in heart just wanted to see how far one could push the idea of "vanilla mint smoothie". how much vanilla extract and how much mint can go into a blender before it truly is inedible.

the answer is 3 cups of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup milk alternative, and about 50 sprigs (not leaves, whole spring) of mint. add ice and the courage of a child. idk, it was summer and we were bored.

the word i would use to describe the feeling of drinking it would maybe be "violent" or perhaps, like. "triangular." my nose felt pristine. inhaling following the first sip was like trying to sculpt a new face. i was ensconced in a mesh of horror. it was something beyond taste. for years after, i assumed those commercials that said "this is how it feels to chew five gum" were referencing the exact experience of this singular viscous smoothie.

what's worse is that we knew our mother would hate that we wasted so much vanilla extract. so we had to make it worth it. we had to actually finish the drink. it wasn't "wasting" it if we actually drank it, right? we huddled around outside in the blistering sun, gagging and passing around a single green potion, shivering with disgust. each sip was transcendent, but in a sort of non-euclidean way. i think this is where i lost my binary gender. it eroded certain parts of me in an acidic gut ecology collapse.

here's the thing about love and trust: the next day my brother made a different shake, and i drank it without complaint. it's been like 15 years. he's now a genuinely skilled cook. sometimes one of the three of us will fuck up in the kitchen or find something horrible or make a terrible smoothie mistake and then we pass it to each other, single potion bottle, and we say try it it's delicious. it always smells disgusting. and then, cerimonious, we drink it together. because that's what family does.

Silent Salt couldn’t bring themself to raise their sword towards you, someone they called a friend even after having fallen to darkness. They just didn’t get it, why you cared for these weak pieces of dough….

Eternal Sugar was the most in denial above the rest. She didn’t understand why this was happening, you had to be under someone’s control to do this to her! She thought you loved her! She’ll cry out to you as the chains enveloped her prison, to please look at her, she needs to see your face, your eyes! She weakly cries as you leave her prison, at least tell her that…you…you….

You stood up for those little cookies against him?! Red Spice is trying to rack his brain for any kind of rationalization to your choice and can’t seem to find any! He never thought the day to raise his weapon against you would be now of all times, didn’t do him any good if he’s now stuck here!

The staredown before you and Shadow Milk as his prison traps him in, his hands struggling to keep the bars apart. This was the route you chose?! Why?! It could’ve been you and him, playing the weak cookies beneath you like fiddles, having them dance to your tune! You put those frail pieces of dough before HIM?!

And yet….none of them could bring themselves to hate you for this.

They couldn’t….

Hello!! what are the other ancients dynamics with their respective beasts like? Are they also learning to get along or is that unique to SM and PV?

Hi, thank you so much for the ask!! Since we don't know much at all about the other Beasts, it's hard to determine what their relationships with the other Ancients would be like. However, there're some light predictions that can be made!

- Hollyberry cookie, holder of the Light of Passion, is likely trying to befriend Eternal Sugar cookie, but Eternal Sugar goads her into giving in to her indulgences such as berry juice, hoping to get Holly to turn to Sloth as well. After all, they both represent Happiness. Hollyberry honestly believes she can turn the other back, however, an admirable belief that Pure Vanilla picked up on when deciding how to treat Shadow Milk cookie.

- Mystic Flour cookie and Dark Cacao both respresent Volition- however, due to Mystic Flour's apathetic disposition, the two clash very often, and they're very against any change or compromise. Dark Cacao sees Mystic Flour's apathy as an inherent betrayal of the kingdom's subjects and refuses to listen.

- Burning Spice cookie and Golden Cheese would likely see eye to eye at first, both being super driven and representative of Change. However, Golden Cheese is driven to Abundance, desiring only the best for themselves and others, but Burning Spice only wants to destroy and raze. They would likely get into arguments often, only working together in desperation.

- White Lily has the most complicated and unpleasant lot of the bunch, unfortunately. She not only has to contain Silent Salt cookie, but she has also been reunited with her other Self steeped in destruction, Dark Enchantress cookie. Due to her multiple bad experiences with corrupted reflections of herself, she's the most resistant to any sort of idea of redemption for the Beasts than the other Ancients. Thankfully, she's also the least likely to be corrupted- Dark Enchantress is incapable of using the Light of Freedom, and Silent Salt has taken to, well... Silently brooding and ominously watching over things, for the most part. While all three fall under the overarching virtue of Change, she's the most resistant to a different mindset. White Lily is rather fearful of any corruption happening again, which is why she's also rather scared & resistant to Pure Vanilla's comparatively casual relationship with Shadow Milk cookie. Even seeing him simply humoring him terrifies her; she cares deeply about him and doesn't want him to be harmed by the other's lies, an understandable position considering everything.

Yep!

Araki did intend for Giorno Giovanna to be a girl, but back then, his editor thought that it would be a bit of a tough sell for Weekly Shonen Jump back then (mid-1990s).

I’ve already talked about Chiru’s evolution before, but why not Ringogo’s since I’m talking to a fellow Appletun appreciator?

Now, it’s pretty well-known that Appletun evolve when you expose an Applin to a Sweet Apple. It’s not exactly a complex evolution method.

But getting one was somehow the biggest ordeal in all of Galar, because I was trying to evolve Applin during the season where Galar was having its biggest annual apple pie contest for some reason. So picture me, on a time limit to challenge Allister with an Applin that can only use Withdraw and Astonish, running to every grocery store within Stow-on-Side, begging the grocers to take pity on me.

Nope. Pie-baking grannies are intense. Apparently they buy out the stock of these stores months in advance of the contests…

I only managed to get a sweet apple by helping some kid confess to his crush, in the end. Didn’t work out for him, since I was the one who caught his Applin, but I got a very cute apple dragon from it.
