Oh boy. This was a familiar face, one she had conflicting feelings with. His previously bombastic behavior made this fact obvious but him blatantly admitting his attraction to her made the woman a tad flustered. In a way, she was oddly envious of his transparency. If she could be as honest as him about her feelings, maybe her life would be less complicated.

Perception of the world.

Roshana just about perceive peoples and what surrounds her, of value and to be protected. All lives born and yet to be, should be treasured. Though proven to be a little flexible when it comes to wrongdoers, she believe in second chances but also in appropriate punishments.

Teyvat, Sumeru specifically, is and should be a community, work collectively and that deeply rooted mindset, sets Roshana apart from many, wheter from in the Akademiya or not. If anything, due to how things were for her, with her parents, she could have easily become like them, share their views but in the end, Roshana knew better than stooping to their level and chose to leave. 

This is also where she can relate to the desert dwellers and how long they’ve been treated next to nothing but specks of dust. Because, she too, has been eventually treated like a lost cause, someone that could easily have been influenced by her parents, be the ways they wanted her to be. That said, Roshana refused to be shaped by others, even by her biological links. 

For the betterment of herself and whatever the future has to offer, she took life within her own hands and intends on returning such gesture for those in need.

Beliefs

Her primary belief lies within the peoples themselves, in and out from the other of the Wall. To her, if there are no peoples, there is no Sumeru. Home are the peoples after all. Peoples are what makes the nation truly thrive forwards, Mora and Knowledge alone doesn’t fix every problems. 

Roshana firmly believes actions are what can make a difference. Life is prone to be fair or cruel, its not a luxury or something that should be controlled in its entirety. To her, one’s actions and choices are what do matters, which again, sets her apart from how many would perceive the world around them. 

Though, she does holds inevitable faith & respect when it comes to Lesser Lord Kusanali, Roshana places importance in the peoples too. Wheter they be from the desert or not, all should have a place to belong to.

Relationship to knowledge.

Unlike the vast majority within the Akademiya or even as a whole, her views on knowledge are much more traditional. 

To her, the Akasha has always been nothing short of an aesthetic, casual item to wear and hardly felt the need of its usage. Indeed, one may call her methods of learning much more straightforward and primitive but she prefers to experience things firsthand and ‘dive’ into books. 

She does not feel targeted by its eventual loss and given what had transpired due to the sages actions, Roshana never truly felt comfortable with such an invention. 

She saw & continue to see, her methods of learning, as something to be treasured, something to be shared amongst the peoples. Such passionate mindset, while it led her to be adored within the Akademiya, it also brought jealousy and disgust from other scholars. But she never returned the sentiment because its not who she is, who she wants to become in life.

In the end, to Roshana, knowledge is not everything, it does not solve all things in the world. The way she sees it, too much knowledge, this so called wisdom, the sages believed in, wasn’t anything like so to begin with. She genuinely views this as Obsession, a crave for Power, etc.
