fyi, I’m just a fan wanting trying to translate a difficult language so everyone can understand. I’m not a professional translator and there is bound to be mistakes and room for improvement

I struggled with this one quite a bit - but I think that he means that in his songs and gigs there will be no cold/stiff/cool gaps -> He’s good at keeping the audience/listener engaged so he’s not ”cool” (instead hot?)

Don’t jump in if you’re scared of jungle music, go humppa* somewhere else

Humppa is a type of finnish music. It’s related to jazz and very fast foxtrot. Humppa is also the name of a few social dances danced to humppa music. It’s more popular and associated with older people (as it’s first types were ’invented’ in early 1900s)

IFK:n paidal fleksaus narrikatsomon laidal

[in] IFK* shirt, flexing by the jokerstand*

IFK is a icehockey team from Helsinki (close to Vantaa). The ”flexing by the jokerstand” is a dig at another finnish ice hockey team: Jokerit (Jokers) and their logo is a jester.

Se on pikkuriski siihen verrattuna ku meikäpoika on paikal!

It’s a small risk compared to when this guy* is present!

”Meikäpoika” lit. translation ”me-boy/guy/dude”. Meikä is a common prefix when you want to stress that it’s you. Usually used in humorous context.

The way that it ties to the previous line, is that it’s a smaller risk to have a rival team’s icehockey jersey in the said rivals (fan) audience than having Käärijä around.

Good things!*

Homma has many meanings. In different contexts, it can mean business, [some] things or even nonsense.

It depends on the context, you can ask someone ”Mikä homma?” and it can be interpreted as ”What’s up?”, ”What’s the problem?”, ”What is this [nonsense]?” - so it’s a very versatile word :D

In this context, it’s more like ”Good things”

Vaik tulee paskaa niskaan

Even when shit pours* on your head*

I struggled with this one too, because niska actually means nape (the back of your neck) and the verb tulee (tulla) means coming - but the sentence ”tulee paskaa niskaan” means more like that you get shat on.

On kaiketi mahollista saada sandaalista

It’s possible to get [hit]* by a sandal

Saada means get (like gifted), but it’s also used in various context like ”saada turpaan” - to get beaten up.

Ja sillon tällön on keikan jälkee syy koukkasta Jorvin kaut’ kotiin

And every now and then, there’s reason to go through Jorvi* when going home*

This was so difficult to translate and get the message across. Koukata means to take a sidestep, in this it means to take an excess trip before going home.

Jorvi is a hospital in Espoo.

Sillä yleisöön monta kovakourasta monnia sopii

Because many rough rookies* fit in the crowd

Kovakourainen means rough in a physical way. Monni is a common term when describing conscripts (in basic training) - so a rookie but it can also just be used as a dig.

It ties in with the previous bar - sometimes Käärijä has to go to the hospital because some people in the audience get a bit rough with him.

And when I leave this boutique*

Puoti is sometimes used to describe a bar or a club because they’re small places, like a boutique.

Painaa ”Press” is another word with multiple meanings - depending on the context. Here it’s a little wordplay.

He doesn’t press stop [button] - instead he will press (go) into the micbooth.

Painaa, painella jonnekin means to go somewhere, usually aggressively.

Bonus: painaa can also mean shagging lol

Ja vaikka pienissä piireissä tulee paskaa niskaan

And even when in small circles, shit pours* on your head

Again with the shit pouring - in small (social) circles he’s getting shat on.

Kähinä is tired of other rappers saying a lot without meaning anything - the (rap) scene is without change like SOTE.

SOTE (Sosiaali-, ja terveydenhuolto ”Social and healthcare”). SOTE-uudistus (reform) was a thing in Finland that took a very long time to put into action and it almost seemed like it will never happen.

Not so good but Käärijä and Kähinä are in touch*

Kaksinen means good but in an inversed way ”Not good”.

Tatsi is another word with multiple meanings - depending on the context …

Here it means that both Käärijä and Kähinä are in touch -> in the way that they are both fit (they have good touch). Usually used as a term in sports.

Sillä nälkä nii kova et jopa Pynnösen Jesse jää tokaks (se jää tokaks, se se jää tokaks)

Because [the] hunger is so big that even Pynnönen’s Jesse* stays second (he stays second, he he stays second)

Jesse Pynnönen is a finnish youtuber known for his insane calorie challenges, (like trying to eat 50 000 kcal in a day?!)

So here Kähinä’s and Käärijä’s hunger (for greatness) is so big that even Jesse can’t beat them.
