synopsis: you find a gigantic stuffed bear at your desk for valentine’s day! how does your bnha best friend react when it’s not from them?

izuku really tries for you :((((( he tears up, inside his heart breaks a lil bit seeing you so happy with the stuffie, but he doesn’t want you to see him being upset. he pretends to be excited for you, but the smile doesn’t really reach his eyes. he knows it’s unreasonable to be mad at a pile of fluff and fabric… but… he js wants to be your favourite again 🥺

“y/n! …oh, you’re busy cuddling with the bear? …i guess i’ll just go over there then…”

bakugo absolutely loses it. you have no idea why he’s so pissy today, did you do something wrong? when class ends, he doesn’t wait for you to get your stuff like usual, and he doesn’t sit with you at lunch… it stings a lot bit more than you think, you feel so alone. ending up in tears, you call him sobbing, telling him you’re sorry for what you did wrong :( he comes barging into your room five seconds later and crouches over you, wiping a stray tear dripping down your face.

“listen dumbass, i’m… sorry. no, you didn’t do anything wrong. here, i got you your favourite chocolate so you’d stop your whining.”

todoroki’s confused. who gave you this giant bear? why didn’t they give it to you themselves? and most importantly, why does he feel his heart twist? he decides he doesn’t like this feeling. he tells himself it’s illogical to be jealous of an inanimate object, but after class, he takes you to the nearest plushie store and tells you to pick out whatever you want. or better yet, why not just buy the entire store?

“hmm? what do you mean i’m insane? of course i can afford it, would i offer it if i couldn’t?” yes

kirishima is genuinely happy for you. of course you’d get a stuffie, he thinks you’re amazing and that you totally deserve it! he even hypes you up, telling you that you’re super manly n his favourite person. when you open up your locker after lunch, you’ll find a chibi crimson riot plushie and a polaroid camera photo of you and him during the sports festival 💗

“that bear is super cute! just like you <3”

kaminari hates it. he hates your attention not being on him, he hates that you hug the bear but not him. so what does he do? he tries to gaslight you into throwing it out 💀💀 throwing shade at the bear, getting offended when you defend it, and being all pouty when you huff at him. he squats in a corner, pursing his lips together, mumbling under his breath about how he’ll zap the bear in the balls later 🤩.

“stupid bear… who do you think you are, taking all of y/n’s attention?”

shinsou looks like he couldn’t care less, and for a while, he doesn’t. but when you start to no longer take naps with him because now you have a cuddle buddy, that’s when he has a problem. he physically snatches the bear off his delicately placed spot and tosses it carelessly on the ground. he wiggles onto your bed next to you, taking the place of the bear who was there seconds ago. he swipes the drool off the corner of your mouth before joining you in slumber.

“why the bear is on the ground? it must have fell off.”

tamaki is insecure of it. do you like it better than him? why do you call it your new best friend? have you replaced him? you clearly notice when he starts to get distant, but you can’t figure out why. is it because you’ve been spending more time with nejire? that must be it! when you apologize to him for accidentally ignoring him for your friend, he sighs in relief. at least you still want to be his friend and maybe more

“i-it’s really no big deal. i get it if you like nejire better than me. wait… nejire?”

dabi doesn’t give a shit. i mean, he’s confident that you won’t leave him because you both have unresolved feelings for each other, but that doesn’t stop him from burning poor teddy into a crisp :( don’t worry though, he’ll just ‘buy’ you another one! he doesn’t mind another late night run with you, especially if it makes you happy.

“hah? those ashes are from… my cigarettes. maybe shiggy or toga has your plushie.”

hawks juts his lips into a pretty pout. he’d make a really good stuffie too, y’know… if only you’d notice his feelings for you. but on another note, he leaves hints that he just released a new line of hawks chibi plushie, and he just happens to have a couple extra… pouts further when you suggest that he should hand them out to fans next time he’s at an event.

you came across a tiktok of someone asking their s/o if they still gave them butterflies— and you were amazed

but this also sparked your own interest, and you started wondering— wondering about shouto’s answer

you and shouto have been dating nearly a year now— your year anniversary being next week.

shouto would usually be watching tiktoks with you, but the heterochromatic haired man’s currently across your room, helping you round off candidates for your upcoming anniversary outfit

feeling intrigued at the idea of asking him the burning question no pun intended 💀 you swipe to the camera, hitting the record button— and you’re just about to ask him the question ™️

until you’re hit with a sudden pang of hesitation

you almost forgot, but you’ve suddenly remembered the fact that shouto’s insanely blunt— purposefully or not

and though you’re confident that shouto doesn’t have the desire to hurt you in any way, shape or form

if he bluntly says “no” to your question, your ego is going to take a blow, and it’s not going to be pretty 😨‼️

so, that raises the intimidation factor by thousands.

shouto halts his wardrobe inspection, and turns to you, noticing your sudden lack of words. not to mention the lack of tiktoks playing in the background

“what are you thinking right now, lovely?” he asks, the patient look on his face luring you into a false sense of security

you just blurted the question out, “do i still give you butterflies?”

shouto’s rendered speechless for a moment— the second long confusion diffusing into thin air, when he realizes what you’re actually talking about

and yes, he thought you were being literal for a second 💀 but thanks to his time together with you, and the constant scoldings from a certain blond— he understood what you meant by ‘butterflies’

he shakes his head, “usually, no.”

and you’re just like 😃➡️ fuck 😨‼️‼️— this backfired like you’ve originally assumed, and of course he wasn’t going to lie to you

you end the tiktok, feeling defeated— but it doesn’t engulf you whole, as shouto’s quick to add onto his statement “but, i don’t think that’s a bad thing.”

shouto then explains that during the earlier days of him having a crush on you, he did have butterflies— like he was genuinely sick with a stomach condition🗿

the amount of times he sent himself to recovery girl, because your hand accidentally grazed against his, is just absolutely astounding 😨

“i wasn’t so sure why they went away one day, so i looked the symptoms up online,” you snicker at the usage of ‘symptoms’— and shouto only smiles at that reaction

“it says that you’re not supposed to have them in the first place, because it’d be your body’s way of telling you that something’s wrong. and— that sounds,, correct. when i’m with you, i feel calm. different, but comfortable.” he subconsciously holds your hands in his own, “is that okay?”

so, he didn’t get butterflies because he wasn’t interested— but rather, he felt safe in your presence, to the point his body responded accordingly.

“yes. of course, shou.” you press a kiss against his cheek, which already felt warm to begin with, “also, you said ‘usually’. so, when’s that rare occasion that you do get butterflies?”

he averts his gaze, cheeks tinting at the idea of just saying what he’s thinking, “when,, you call me handsome, and pretty.”

“but shou, you are! so does that mean you get butterflies when other people call you handsome or pretty?”

he deadpans, and you laugh— patting him on the shoulder “i’m kidding!”

“it’s only for you.”

“i know, shou. now, let’s get back to outfit picking— i’m still pretty undecided about what to wear.”

you add onto the unfinished tiktok when shouto leaves momentarily for some water, typing down what exactly happened after you stopped filming.

“false alarm ‼️he didn’t lose feelings 🤩 he’s just comfortable around me 💃✨ i am still taken.”

you upload the tiktok, and it blows up because of the expression you made when he told you “no.” 💀 and everyone was either laughing at your face, or celebrating the fact that you’re still together

bakugou katsuki

you were by yourself when you came across a tiktok of someone asking their s/o if they still gave them butterflies— and of course, this made you curious of your own boyfriend

dating katsuki is something, alright— and though you’ve been together for some time now, you were also still figuring out each other’s ways as you guys should be

and there wasn’t a so-called honeymoon stage between you two— as he always treated you nicer than the rest of his classmates

so this sparks a question in your mind— and you want his answer.

except maybe not anymore, considering that you literally cannot find him, at all.

usually it’s you that’s missing in action, and it’s honestly never on purpose— still surprising nonetheless

you go to the dorm’s kitchen— wondering why you didn’t go there first, considering katsuki’s interest in making his own meals and yours but thats besides the point

you take a peak at the kitchen, and of course he was in there by himself— cooking up his dinner, with an concentrated look on his face.

you’re about to step into the kitchen, and call for his attention, when you jerk back— thinking it would be wrong for you to be entering the kitchen, while he’s cooking

though he didn’t explicitly say it, you know how he feels about people entering the kitchen for unrelated reasons he hates it basically

you pace back and forth, thinking carefully about the reactions he could possibly create, and if entering the kitchen would be good idea on your part.

you think you’re should be more intimidated and cautious about the idea of asking him this question in particular— but you can’t really find it in you 🗿

because katsuki’s usually in a constant state of anger. it’s different compared to someone like shouto whs’s calm on most days but scary when mad

you’re stopped in your tracks when you’re eye to eye with katsuki— and he was just there just watching you run in circles not that far off from the kitchen🧍‍♂️🤨❓❓

when he saw you, he was going to pull you into the kitchen with him, until he was you literally be like ↪️↩️🔃🔁🔄

“why the hell were you running in circles? you looked like a headless chicken.”

you laugh, “i was looking for you like— everywhere. turns out you were just here 😌”

“did i not tell you that i was making us dinner 🤨” he rolls his in false annoyance, “i know you have a question. you’ve never forgotten something like this. so, just a—”

“do i still give you butterflies?”

red irises blink upon hearing the question— he was honestly expecting a bizarre question, but he wasn’t expecting that in particular

he cleans up his work station, gathering his food in a small container— undoing the apron tied around him

katsuki chucks the apron onto a chair, and he stares at you— handing you the container of food, which is meant for your consumption and his consumption but he cooked it with the intent of sharing it with you

“this is another tiktok thing, isn’t it?”

“no, i’m like,,, genuinely curious. does bakugou katsuki get butterflies” you ponder 🤔❓ “i’m curious!”

“do YOU still get butterflies from me 🤨❓”

“OF COURSE. though it’s not every second of the day, you’re just too fine 😩😍‼️— now, answer the question.”

katsuki huffs, knowing that you’re genuinely curious this time, and that you’re not going to clown him, by posting a tiktok about his answer later

with a hand running through his hair, he admits— “yeah. same answer as yours. sometimes, i guess.”

you’re like 😃❓ “sometimes?”

“yeah. sometimes,” he clicks his tongue, tip of the ears turning red “like— fuckin’ hell! you just randomly say and do the weirdest things sometimes. i can’t help it.”

“but there are moments where i don’t get those,, shitty butterflies.” he can’t find himself elaborating his thoughts— that he feels safe, and it doesn’t feel like he’s shoved on a pedestal around you

he’s just simply katsuki around you. and as much as he likes being called king explosion murderer— he also needs to breathe air and you are the air he needs

plus— you guys are in the kitchen 💀 someone could just walk right in and see katsuki bakugou explain why he DOESN’T get butterflies around his s/o

you smile at that, and the idea of your bakugou katsuki actually having stomach butterflies, because of the things you say and do

“like what exactly?”

“oh, fuck off”

“aw, love you too.” his mouth twitches like he’s trying to hold back a big fat smile from showing

katsuki decided to combat this with a glare 💀

“you know what i mean. just eat the fucking food i gave you.” he turns around to conceal the rising heat on his cheeks, “i can’t believe you were actually worried about that.”

“it’s a valid question!”

“whatever, just follow me.”

the two of you were comfortable, scrolling on your fyp— when you come across a tiktok of someone asking their s/o if they still gave them butterflies

seeing the tiktok, you were intrigued— and also amazed by their answer. you didn’t know the person, their answer seemed fitting

however, watching this tiktok spurred your own curiosity— and you turn to ask the exact same question to your boyfriend

but you’re met with a very red tamaki— his cheeks are very similar to this 🔴🔴

he’s kind of like an open book 💀 it’s cute, but you still want a verbal answer from him.

“tama,”

he just KNOWS you’re about to ask him the same question, he can feel it “y-yeah?”

you smile, deciding to tease him a little bit, by pretending that you’re not going to ask him that question

even though you’re going to ask anyway

“should i turn on the air conditioner?”

he exhaled, the redness draining from his face.

tamaki’s relieved that you weren’t going to ask him if he still got butterflies from you because trust me, he still does

don’t get me wrong— it’s not like he’s avoiding the question because of any harsh truth,

but it’s because he knows he’s not going to be able to answer it without blushing or stuttering

and on top of that— he’s read somewhere that getting butterflies is basically your body’s way of signaling danger, and he feels anything but danger around you

and again, he’s like a open book in this situation

you scroll down to the next tiktok, and that’s when you ask the burning question “do i still give you butterflies?”

he chokes upon hearing that, and color immediately rushes back to his face. he should’ve known that you were just messing with him

tamaki looks for a temporary escape, gaze sent downwards— burning holes into the floor with his eyes

you don’t let him, choosing to pry further “so?”

he fumbles in answering— something he expected from the get-go 💀 “hmn.. not very often, s-surprisingly.”

“oh?” this answer has successfully surprised you, “why? do you—”

“b-but!” he’s quick to defend, “it’s not because i lost feelings, or anything like that.”

“i don’t know. i got them a lot, i still do sometimes— and they’re usually not in my control. i never liked how being everything but confident was second nature, and i wished i had more emotion control.”

“but compared to everything else, i feel at peace. l-like i don’t know.. that i’m not me for once—.”

“tamaki, don’t say that.”

“i know, and i’m sorry!” he defends, “but i mean.. with you, i’m never in a constant state of worry, that i’d make mistakes. however, this doesn’t mean everything you do isn’t..”

heart fluttering he’s so whipped, and in the end, he always has a reaction for everything you do

satisfied, and deciding that you’ve had enough of your teasing, you tear his hands anyway from his face, moving to brush his bangs back, “i understand. don’t feel so pressured with your answer, love— this isn’t life or death.”

“i-i know!” he replies, practically melting in your touch, “‘just don’t want you to get the wrong idea.”

“oh, i’d never” you coo, “if you’re also wondering, i’m practically the same as you! so, don’t worry that pretty head of yours.”

he flushes at the nickname— but nonetheless, he feels glad knowing that he’s not the only one that still gets butterflies in this stage of your relationship

“okay, i’m gonna stop teasing you now.” you conclude, immediately going back to your scrolling and for real this time

you were supposed to be sleeping when you found the tiktok

you’d usually be tucked in your winged boyfriend’s arms, lulled into a much needed and peaceful sleep

but instead, you’re scooted over to the very corner of the bed— scrolling on your fyp

during your time scrolling on the app, you had to stifle and bite back laughter and reactions— but this time, you’re rendered curious

in the tiktok, the original uploader asked their s/o if they still had butterflies because of him

nevermind their s/o’s answer— because this tiktok caused some curiosity to bubble in your stomach, and on any normal occasion, you’d ask keigo

but it’s also 1 in the morning— and keigo finally got the sleep he’s been wanting and needing for a week now.

you don’t want to wake him up, now that he looks super peaceful.

you’ve concluded that you just needed to shake off the curiosity, or better yet— just drop the question overall.

anyway, it’s not like you’d be angry at his answer, considering that he’s been dating you for a year and a half now— you wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t get butterflies

though it’d be a real shame on your part since you still get butterflies because of him

you slowly sit up from your curled up position, setting aside the blankets— wanting to retrieve a remedy for your suddenly parched throat

and you’re about to step out of the bed, when keigo suddenly plops his head, face first, onto your lap— golden eyes piercing, despite the lack of light

“jesus christ keigo!” you exclaim, and he laughs at your reaction, “i thought my heart fell out of my ass for a second!”

“there’s no need for that. anyways, why’re you even awake? it’s.. late.”

you’re hesitant, not only because of the time, but because of his answer too, “it’s not important. you can answer it in the morning. you don’t get to sleep a lot, thanks to your job.”

“that’s true, but, consider me curious. whatever it is— i’m sure it’s important.” he insists, “c’mon! curiosity’s gonna kill the bird!”

you roll your eyes at that awful punchline, but you give in anyway, “do you.. still get butterflies from me?”

honestly, i was debating if hawks would— and i feel like he wouldn’t.

just realized everyone in this list said no 💀whoops

and yes, he had crushes, definitely. but, he didn’t date a lot when he was younger.

nevertheless, if he was in a relationship, he’d take it seriously. man’s always doing some form of work. so, if you actually got him in a relationship, you have him wrapped around your finger.

because the only people he actually got permanent butterflies from, were just people he was infatuated with 💀 not the same as love

keigo props himself up on his elbows, his lips turning up into a small smile, “hm.. i can’t say butterflies is the right term.”

“oh, why?”

“i don’t know— imagine a 23 year old, actually using the term ‘butterflies’? oh my. haven’t used that word since i was 17.” you snort, “hey! it’s true.”

“where was i.. right,” keigo goes back on track, “like every other crush, i did get butterflies. i’d accidentally brush my fingers against yours? butterflies. eye contact? butterflies. heck— even when i’d fly across the city, just to see you, i’d get them. and that’s in my control!”

“then suddenly, things were different.” keigo doesn’t voice this out, but he remembers the time you suddenly weren’t just like any other crush he had, “i’m not complaining though.”

“besides, constantly getting butterflies is also the body’s way of signaling danger, what i feel is different.” you tilt your head in confusion,

“heart fluttering is much more fitting!” he plants himself face first onto your lap, “can’t help that part. jeez— endeavor and miruko would laugh at me for using butterflies for the first time in 6 years.”

“ugh, this is where i go to sleep. why’d you have to mention endeavor??”

“i’m serious! i mean it. and not just that, i meant every single thing i said.”

“you better.” you get comfortable, allowing him to plop down on you— encasing you in his arms, “goodnight. thanks.. for answering.”

ALSO I’m sorry but I’m rooting for jaemin and her 🤭 the funny part is that they barely interact in the story but I still want them to end up together cos jaemin is all I could ask for in a guy. He’s nice funny and not a trouble maker AND he’s smart too like that’s so hot plus he knows how to have fun and respect other’s boundaries like I’m so in love with him (this may or may not be due to my own personal bias towards him in general lmaoo💀) the only problem is that his actions are not clear to assume whether he likes her as more than a friend or not 😒

i actually woke up to this message and i gotta tell you this was a TRIP i kinda feel like i went on a roller coaster BUT I AM DETERMINED TO ANSWER EVERYTHING SO cracks knuckles let's get down to business !!! i absolutely think that there's an issue with how jeno says things and i am not even hiding or denying the fact that it's lowkey problematic SJBIFJBSIJB like i said i think he is a somewhat selfish person that can't tell the difference between genuinely expressing interest and simply reinforcing someone's interest in him ............... but that really isn't a product of malice imo he just a lil Not It and probably can't see anything in a more empathetic way (like idt he really thinks about what a person would want to hear from him in a situation like this) as for jaemin........... I THINK MANY PEOPLE R ON THIS MC/JAEMIN BOAT AND YOU KNOW WHAT? i always think that's valid?? to be completely honest w you i perceive jaemin as the kind of person who figures out what he wants very quickly (in comparison to jeno who always seems to sit in the field of ambiguity) but what he does about it is a totally different story? there's definitely no wrong intention about how he acts and there's also nothing calculated about it IDK IF THAT MAKES SENSE ??? this jaemin is pretty honest but he also doesn't overtly do anything or force a situation even if his feelings are plain as day BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE !!! he's also not a one punch roll over kinda guy and i think that is very important............ in the future :^)

renjun has many rights in this fic and his perception is like 85% correct most of the time BUT his execution is VERY bad. my writing could be very POOR in this regard but there are very weak hints that renjun likes mc, but the question is also why (ik this sounds bad but there's a logical reason) SJFISDJf i don't think renjun is unjustified AT ALL in what he thinks because (1) he's a slightly more objective party when regarding jeno even though there's a slight tint of ew and (2) mc is a little too blinded and as a friend, i feel like it's normal to get annoyed at that kind of behavior because she literally talks like if jeno asked her to woof in the hallway she would get on all fours and do it and JFBIFJBSJIBJBJ like i just feel like that's upsetting to see as a friend because you know that two people should be on equal footing in a relationship if that's where it's headed? so i feel like him constantly trying to knock some sense into her is not a problem BUT i feel like there's also a time and place to do it especially if you know the other person is not in a good place (i.e. she won't listen to you because of her blinded behavior).

and there was no real point about this but i'd also like to add that mc is ................................................. easily one of the most unreliable narrators which is a pleasure to write but frustrating to deal with in context because all of her ideas are very skewed. you have someone who might lose a friendship and still be on the crush's side (which, again, is normal if you're blinded) and who literally views herself as someone lesser than jeno (again, contextually normal but not great) yet believes that this is how the world should be despite being told it's really not ... but you also can't blame her completely because if you're that into something / someone, you tend to have tunnel vision and dont notice what you're doing wrong until it's way too late. in this case, you make a lot of mistakes you don't notice and people don't know how to blame you for, which means she doesn't really know that she has anything to apologize for either. :^( this is a problem that's going to keep coming up until she opens her eyes a bit more :(

why must he suffer like this 🧎‍♂️

he loves being a part of your tiktoks, he promises on that. but— he can feel his lifespan shortening, whenever he’s subjected to your pranks.

but,, he supposes he could withstand it, if he can see you laughing like that— your smile literally radiating, beaming into his face.

...okay but— this nearly throttled him into a state of cardiac arrest. so, is it really okay??

you initially didn’t want to do this prank— because, who would want to do something like this to an absolute sweetheart like izuku?

but ‼️ mina said whoever got the best reaction, would get free meals for 3 whole days so.. 🤩 free food? free food.

after devising a subtle plan for the tiktok, wanting to get the most out of his reactions, you seek out to find izuku

“izu, izu! are you busy right now?” when you open the door to his room, he’s jotting down some notes, and his eyes shimmer when he sees you

“hm.. just writing some notes down. but don’t worry! i’ll be done in a bit, and then i’m all yours.” izuku smiles, continuing to mumble to himself as he writes more things down on his notebook.

“so.. can i stay for a bit? i kinda wanted to show you something, but it’ll be quick, i promise.”

“sure thing!” izuku continues writing down on his notebook, but he’s really just waiting for you to show him whatever you wanted him to see

so, you immediately switch to tiktok, selecting the sound— pressing the play button.

the sound visibly perks his interest, glancing up at you for a split second, before returning back to his notes “just a reminder that, it’s okay for relationships to end..”

once the words of the first portion of the sound sink in, izuku freezes, the pen falling out of his hand with a deafening ‘thud!’

and he looks at you with the most panicked set of eyes you have seen in like— ever.

then, there’s a pregnant pause, the silence being there for a few seconds only, but feeling as if it went on for hours upon hours

then, the next line of speech was finally said, “..not ours though.”

when the beat drops, izuku sighs in relief, scarred hand clenched and resting against his chest— eyes tearing up as he looks at you in relief

you were laughing in one second, but in the next few seconds— you’re alarmed when you see tears stinging those evergreen eyes

“don’t cry— i’m so sorry for shocking you!” you quickly end the tiktok, pulling him into a loving, and reassuring hug

“ah, i didn’t mean to cry— i promise! i was just worried..? i know i’ve been kind of glued to the chair lately. so, if you did want to break up with me because of the lack of attention then,,”

you shake your head, not letting him finish. “i’m fully aware of how much of a hard worker you are, and i adore that so much. i knew i shouldn’t have done this stupid tiktok for some food—”

izuku chuckles, clearing his eyes from the lingering tears with his sweater’s sleeve. “look, i understand. i was just shocked, and i didn’t mean to actually cry! but at least you have a higher chance of winning because of me, right?”

and yes, he was definitely right. because, as soon as you uploaded that tiktok— it blew up instantly, and a lot more than you’ve anticipated.

i’m not shocked 💀 izuku’s super adorable, and his reaction won everyone’s hearts basically

ngl it was funny to see people get offended and genuinely upset for him as if they knew him on a personal level

with the comments section being filled with ‘apologize to him NOW 😐‼️’ ‘you made this precious man tear up 👹 at least tell us if you kissed him afterwards.’

and comments similar to that

the comments were all over his very genuine reaction, and they were slandering you half-heartedly,

izuku didn’t exactly love the fact that they were slandering you over a tiktok prank, but at least the video did well 🤩

and you won the bet since it did the best regarding results and reactions, so.. free food for the next 3 days 💃✨‼️

so in a way, it was kinda worth it. maybe by 50% and despite the initial shock, izuku didn’t mind that the tiktok blew up

oh, but bakugou did laugh in his face when he saw him in the following hours 💀 but really, what’s new about that?

as much as he’d like to deny it, he kinda enjoys being in your tiktoks if he’s not on the receiving end of some kind of torment

but because of you— this man TRIES to be on his toes, especially when you tell him that you’re gonna to make more tiktoks

of course, this fails more than half of the time— because he subconsciously lets his guard down when he’s around you and probably around you only

at first, you actually grew some conscience and decided that this might be crossing some kind of line— thinking that it would be going too far

even though you hid under his bed, and grabbed at his leg for a tiktok and risked the chance of living a longer life

but you aren’t really living if you aren’t taking risks here and there, right?

so after lots of planning, and figuring out how to make the effects of this prank effective, you decided to play out your shenanigans

shortly after katsuki finished his extra training, he immediately stomps over to your room— after hearing nothing from you all day

“what are you up to?” he stands near the door way, the smell of caramel invades your room “you haven’t said shit to me in 4 hours!”

“sorry, kats” you’re gaze is stuck to your phone. so far, your plan is working— you have him right where you want him “i’m doing something right now!”

“what could you be doing, for you to not be talk to me for 4 fucking hours?” he replies, in a usual katsuki matter.

“oh nevermind that— do you look?” you ask, not raising suspicion. of course, he takes the bait.

“you’re not gonna shower?”

“don’t fuckin’ care, just wanna see what you’ve been up to.” he moves closer to your bed, and you snicker— immediately starting the tiktok

“just a reminder that, it’s okay for relationships to end.” the audio catches all of his attention

upon hearing the audio, katsuki stops in his tracks, and his head makes a sharp turn to look at you— with a confused expression

think of when everyone was making a plan without katsuki’s input, and he was just like 😦❓❓

he speaks, and you could tell that he sounds a little upset “what the—”

katsuki’s expression quickly turned into 😨 with each second that’s passed without a single word being uttered

“wait, no. this has to be a—”

the audio cuts him off, before he could even think about finishing that sentence “..not ours though.”

the beat drops, and you break into a fit of laughter, morphing his facial expression into a 🤨

he takes a look at your phone’s screen— and of course, you’re filming a tiktok.

‘obviously‼️ this was another shitty prank.’ he thinks to himself, chagrin.

and you’ve captured all of his short lived distraught. how did he not catch onto this? looking back, it was so obvious that you were doing another prank.

“bye.”

“kats! are you actually upset?” you move to drag him back, but he’s stronger, and he gently pushes you away

initially, he was only planning on ignoring you for a few hours to a day, but you posted the tiktok

and it has 120k likes 😐 nothing compared to the other tiktoks— but obviously still a lot of people

so katsuki sees that, and was like ‘nvm’ and prolonged the ignoring game just because yeah, man was super unpleased

so basically, he ignores you for 3 solid days 💀 before deciding that it was enough, and that he should start bombarding you with hugs.

thinks you’ve learned your lesson, even if it’s just temporary

even though katsuki knows well that you’ll just start doing your shenanigans some other time, just like usual

at least you’ll think twice before doing something like this again, right?

it is common knowledge that this man’s reactions are basically top tier— the best out of the main three

so that’s why it’s super fun to just do all these tiktok pranks on him, all of his reactions are different, and amusing every single time

his reactions never get old

which is why you wanted to know how’d he react to this one in particular— would he be confused? or would he take it seriously?

that’s for you to find out by yourself

for a short moment, you questioned if this would even do well— since shouto’s slowly getting used to you pulling him into your tiktoks

however, you’re confident that this’ll do well, since all you really need is a perfect plan, right?

after meticulously creating a plan for this tiktok, deciding that the plan’s absolutelu fool proof— to the point that you could finally put it into motion

the weekend came around, meaning— the perfect opportunity to do this tiktok on the heavily unaware shouto

you’re laying in bed watching a drama on netflix, while patiently waiting for shouto’s arrival

you hear the door open, and you make sure that your phone’s still resting next to your lap. you’re excited for this prank, but also nervous

“hey love” shouto greets, climbing onto your bed— and quickly getting comfortable

“someone missed me,” you tease, and he just smiles in reply— oblivious to what you’re about to do to him

“shou, do you wanna do this new tiktok trend with me?” you look up at him with hope plastered all across your face

yet— the dual quirk user looks at you ominously, like he could actually sense that something bad’s about to happen “is it another one of.. those pranks?”

it’s almost as if he suddenly recalled ALL of the tiktok pranks you’ve made him go through

truthfully it is but, it’s not like you’re going to spill the beans “nope,” you accentuate the ‘p’ “it’s not, i promise! it’s a new tiktok filter i wanted to try with you— waited all week for this, y’know?”

the ominous look drops, and he gives you a soft smile “sure, we can try it right now”

“perfect,” you smile, selecting the sound from your saved audios.

after opening the camera, you prop the camera in a manner that makes both of your faces distinct and so the camera could capture shouto’s reaction clearly without any obstacles

you press on the play button— not giving shouto a chance to react at all, and the sound grabs shouto’s attention

and this man’s most likely thinking ‘where’s the filter? there’s no filter??’

“just a reminder that, it’s okay for relationships to end.” there’s a lengthy halt to the audio, allowing shouto to react

his heterochromatic eyes widen, thoroughly aghast— he rechecks the screen, unsure if his ears have deceived him or not

and as if that’d reassure him of anything nice

but nope, no sign of reassurance was made. he’s frozen in place, and by every second that passes— you could practically feel the room growing hotter

basically, his reaction was like 😨⁉️🧍man’s rethinking his entire life at this point— recalling the things he did during the week, purely out of sudden desperation

shouto’s about to say the things that are plaguing his mind, when the audio finally says something after an eternity which was actually just a few seconds

“..not ours though.” the beat drops, and when that happens— shouto takes a deep breath, a sense of relief enveloping his senses

suddenly, the youngest todoroki wraps his arms around you, and pulls you into his firm hold disregarding his jittery hands resting his head against the crook of your neck

you’re stuck beneath his arms, and you yelp— ending the tiktok in the process. you didn’t mind anyway, since you got what you’ve wanted.

he lets out a sigh of relief, and you’re convinced that you’ve upset him— and you’re quick to utter your apologies

“i’m super sorry shouto, i didn’t think that you would—” but he chuckles hearing you spew out your apologies

“i’m not offended, i promise.” he inhales your scent, cheek presses against your neck “i was just surprised, i guess. this week wasn’t very leisure with it’s activities and tasks.”

huh? you didn’t really think of that, and you didn’t know that shouto was self aware of the lack of alone time together, due to the week’s hectic schedule

“so, you thought i was trying to hint a breakup at you, because of the busy week?”

“yes.” he confirms with full honesty, “but i knew there was something going on. should’ve trusted my instinct.”

you laugh at the latter statement, and you feel him smile against you, “i guess you should be on your toes more often, yeah?”

“yes, but you know me well, i thought i was getting used to these trends, but i still end up falling for it.” and there were no lies said

you post the tiktok afterwards, and it blows up— gathering 2M views and 800k likes

you had to make a follow up video of you telling shouto that you ‘didn’t want to break up in the first place‼️’ which makes shouto smile in plain view

because nearly half of the comments were mad at you for making his entire life flash before his eyes, and the other half of the comments section was jealous of your relationship

shouto didn’t like the fact that almost half of the comments were slandering you over a tiktok prank he found funny after the ordeal happened

like damn, he was scrolling through all of those oddly hostile comments like

inevitably, shouto ended up telling an aggressive commenter to ‘stop slandering my s/o — shouto.’ seeing that they’ve started this weird battle in the comments section
