For no one walks into the same river twice. The river is always flowing and the person always changing. Happy 1st #Sunday of September! 😊. #summer is unfortunately winding down so this is the best time to catch those last rays of sunshine ☀️ if you’re in an area where fall is quickly spreading. It’s also the month of fashion with (a shorter) #nyfw in full throttle. I’ll be posting mostly work that is fashion related the whole month so get ready ☺️. . Continuing the stop motion story:The second class in the Workshop was ‘Mobile Stop Motion’. This is 2nd #stopmotion film & it’s entitled ‘NYFW’. Using Fashion tools I created #wordart using pins to commemorate #NYFW . Here’s to more Stop Motion movies! . #stopmotionanimation #stopmotionvideo #pdemmm💜 #abstractfilms🎥 #abstractfilmmaking https://www.instagram.com/p/B2K50X1p6Qn/?igshid=wwdm1wdhmd84

I still find this music track completely entrancing...
I posted the original draft of this older piece a few days ago and this is the much more polished version.

ARTIST FILM WORKSHOP (Melbourne, Australia)
Filmmaker & Programmer PADDY HAY in person
Friday April 29, 2022 7:30pm
Reliance Theatre, Emily Carr University of Art & Design

Iris Film Collective is very pleased to be co-presenting—with Emily Carr University and Cineworks—a selection of recent and very recent artist film works produced by members of the Artist Film Workshop (AFW) lab, located in Melbourne, Australia.
Australian filmmaker and programmer Paddy Hay will be present for the screening to introduce and answer questions.
The program reflects the diversity of interests, methodologies, and technologies available to AFW filmmakers: contact printing, optical printing, DIY cameras, and sometimes no cameras at all. The films step into and outside of traditions across abstraction, archival/found footage, audio/vision, and documentary.
All works presented on 16mm.
