Bye-bye Taihoro. See you in July in Barcelona!
(Over a month to ship by sea from New Zealand? Guess most container ships are going around Africa now? 🤷‍♀️)

Self-serving but fun press from ETNZ about two boat testing in Auckland.
As Nathan says, will be great to get the entire team back together on the new boat soon.

Great photos and video from Auckland today.
youtube
Funny how with a few weeks back in Auckland, Pete’s kiwi accent comes to the fore.
However, I do disagree slightly with what he says at the end of the video: It is the journey AS WELL AS how the team finishes that is important.

Tom making some okay points. Nice that ETNZ offered him a ride on the chase boat!
youtube
And I do especially agree that they need to cover the dock out and docking in, if they hope to drum up some ongoing interest in the class.
Does NO ONE in the America’s Cup organization understand what marketing is? I know that I sneer and roll my 👀 at Sail GP efforts, but at least they try.
I am more excited for Mozzy’s follow up video where he will address:
- how ENTZ was able to get back of the foils when none of the other teams were able in the light wind conditions since it is gonna be relevant for the future!
- a short tour of the venue.

Been a bit out of the ETNZ AC37 loop, but there are some nice videos from today’s practice in the Harakai Gulf.
The guys were eager to get out there as the sea state resembled conditions that they will likely encounter in Barcelona.
Blair eager to have his recon interview over and done.

Looking forward to seeing the next legends of NZ sailing training on the Haraiki Gulf and competing in Europe!
If you’ve got the citizenship and a sailing resume, go for it.

Well….Ineos Brittania’s new boat has been unveiled.
youtube
Im sorry, but I agree with one of the comments. It is shaped like a humpback whale with a square ramp as a tail and sharp skeg.
Rita3 streamlined like a whale?

Nice fun interview with an American Magic sailor, who is actually happy being interviewed.
youtube
Nice to see (even as American Magic still lopsided at times in the gusts).
Forgettable interview with Andy Maloney of ETNZ.

Great photos of yesterday’s sailing of Te Rehutai in Barcelona, ESP in confused sea state.
Only ETNZ was out in the conditions.

Congrats again to Tom at Mozzy Sails, for continuing to do the heavy lifting!
Not a data leak, just data interpretation, which others are not prepared to do.
Good of Dan Bernasconi to help out with the explanation.
