Ooo! I really like that idea and the song is really good! I didnt really know how to incorporate it into the story but I did try!

🧸He holds you close and tightly in his arms while the two of you sit in a unfamiliar place. He was crying and you didnt like it when daddy cried. You hold him tighter and try to comfort him.

🧸Then you felt the piercing pain in your back.

🧸You can feel your favorite sweater start to get soaked with your blood as tears fill you eyes. How could he do this to you? You thought he loved you, he promised he did.

🧸You call out for him in disbelief and betrayal. Why would he do this? You didnt have time to think as you slowly slip into unconsciousness.

🧸You wake up again. Your still in this unfamiliar place but you feel different. You look around and find yourself laying on the ground, lifeless.

🧸Then the splitting pain set in.

🧸Not only did you feel a sharp pain in your back but the splintering pain slicing through your head. It didnt help that you heard to different voices arguing.

🧸Both sounded like you but were completely different. One sounded like you did before you met Hawks, strong and mature, while the second one sounded like you did while he had you trapped, childish and pure.

🧸The two parts of you were fighting over dominance. They were arguing and taking control of your body. It was a game of tug a war between them and they didnt care how it was inflicting so much pain on you.

🧸But you just layed there, protecting your once body and suffering, hoping they'll figure this out.

🧸Time passed and the two voices of you started to get along. It was a strange dynamic, one taking care of the other, but it worked. It also help put your mind at ease as you watched over your decaying body.

🧸Then he showed up and the pain started again.

🧸The younger you was so happy and was calling out to him while the older you was cussing him out and screaming at him with pure anger.

🧸You didnt understand why they were acting so conflicted, you barely remember what happened. All you know is that you knew him then you died. You also picked up all the little hints the voices in your head talked about. You had a very strong relationship with him, whether that be good in one person's eyes or bad in another.

🧸You watched him with dizzy vision as they fight harder. His big wings flap gently as he lands close to your corpse. He looks happy.

🧸Tou watch as he grabs your body and holds you close, despite the rot and decay. You can feel his embrace even if it wasnt necessarily you he was holding. It's hard to tell if you're repulsed or over joyed.

🧸He mumbles sweet nothings and apologies in your ear as he starts to walk off with your body. You stumble and try to follow as the feeling of being carried throws you off. It also doesnt help that one voice is crying and begging to go with him while the other tries to pull you away.

🧸You manage to catch up before he takes flight. You grab on tight to his jacket as you leave the ground behind. He seems to notice it but doesnt do anything.

🧸You fall to the ground as he lands in front of abandoned buildings. You follow him into one of the buildings as the voices fight even harder.

🧸He carries you to a bathroom and starts to bathe you. Again, you cant decide whether to feel repulsed or excited as the voices in your head drown out what he's saying. He then dries and dresses you before putting you on a couch and plays a movie.

🧸You feel as if you could recite all the words by heart but beyond annoyed that it was put on.

🧸Hawks then sits with you and holds you close as the movie plays. As the movie continues you start to regain memories.

🧸You remember the games you used to play as the move droned on in the background. You also remember how he hurt and tortured you as he played the movie in the background.

🧸You grow uncomfortable as his hand travels up your thigh and as he scoots closer to you.

🧸Suddenly both voices shut up.

🧸You watch in horror as he continues to advance on you. You hate the way his hands are touching you, grabbing you, pulling you closer.

🧸You start to cry as he strips you of your clothes. You dont know how to stop him, neither do the voices. They seem to be crying as well.

🧸The two of you were now fully undressed and you feel him. It hurts so bad. You have to make him stop, you need to make him stop.

🧸You start to try and pry him off of your corpse but when that doesnt work you start to claw at his skin.

🧸You know he can feel you. He flinches as your nails draw blood but that only encourages him to go faster. The you collapse.

🧸The definitive snap of a bone sent you to the ground crying in agony as he finishes. You hear him shift and chuckle as he speaks. It was so mocking without him trying.

🧸You will make him pay.

🧸You layed there for a bit, letting the pain die down before you moved. You crawled towards where he layed with your body. You sat next to yourself for a second before saying goodbye.

🧸You crawled closer to that disgusting excuse for a man and grabbed him close. You were ready to go now.

🧸The ground cracks as an invisible force starts to drag you under. Hawks wakes up and panics, unsure of what's happening.

🧸You cling on tighter as he tries to crawl away. You wouldnt let him escape, just like how he didnt let you.

🧸You were close to the crack now. It was so warm. The younger voice in your head was crying and begging you to release him. As the two of you get closer to the crack the younger voice fades. Probably because its connected to him.

🧸Finally, the two of you fall into the fiery abyss. He'll suffer until he dies now. He'll suffer even more when he does die.

🧸He deserves it so badly. And you'll be there every step of the way, being the one inflicting his torment of course.

“Why...why is he here?”

Your hand subconsciously curls around Wooyoungs arm while your other grips his wrist as you shuffle yourself behind him a bit, peeking around from the back of his neck, eyes locked on the figure by Minhyuks door, leaning next to it, arms crossed and eyes locked on the ground. “Who is that? Why are you acting like this?” Wooyoung spoke, drawing the attention of the male, brown eyes locking on you, lips twitching up. 

“Y/n~” He cooed and you gripped Wooyoung’s sleeve tighter, biting your lip. “Thats Im Changkyun, my ex, who i was talking to on the phone.” Wooyoung hummed and walked towards the door, ignoring the male. “Key?” You jerked your head up. “On top of the door frame.” He nodded and reached up, grabbing the key and opening the door and quickly pushing you through the door. “Go get what you need.” Wooyoung reassured you before turning to face Changkyun as you ran off into Minhyuk’s room. 

“Why did you suddenly call Y/n?” Changkyun stayed quiet as he walked inside, closing the door behind him. Wooyoung snorted before he walked closer as the other scanned him. “Who are you? I’ve never seen you before.” Changkyun looked up, locking eyes with him.

“Im Y/n’s friend, i just moved here.” Wooyoung lied, bright green eyes locked on him. Changkyun felt like he was being opened like a book, pages flipped through and studied, pulled apart at the seems.

Wooyoungs eyes made him the slightest bit nervous but his lips quirked up.

Changkyun had heard the saying ‘your eyes are the window to the soul’ but he never believed it. Until now. Wooyoung looked like he was reading him from the inside out, finding out all of his secrets, all of his past and maybe even his future. 

“I was with her this morning when you called. You stressed her out beyond belief.” Wooyoung crossed his arms, watching him as he waited for you to bring out the costumes.

You rummaged through Minhyuk’s closet before finding the costumes and giggling as you found a picture of the two of you dressed up. Even if you didnt like the pairing, the last person you were dressed up as was Harley Quinn with Minhyuk has your Joker. You have to admit, you both looked incredible, maybe you had a crush on Minhyuk then, he was incredible, your childhood friend, your first kiss, your everything.

Sitting on his bed you looked at his table, seeing photos of the two of you along with his other friends and your small friend group together. The last pic you saw was a pic of his group of friends with you. They were all very attractive and you had loved hanging out with you. That was before you had dated Changkyun, and before your crush on Kihyun. But what caught your attention was the part of the picture that was scribbled over, it was Changkyun’s face. You remember hearing that there was a fight in the school yard near the water fountain.

Flashback:

“Did you guys see? Theres a fight by the college water fountain.” You furrowed your eyebrows. “It looked like Minhyuk and Changkyun.” You shot up from your seat, startling a few of the others in the class and grabbed your phone before running out of the classroom and towards the water fountain. One look at the pink hair you knew it was Minhyuk. After all you had helped dye his hair. 

You couldnt hold back the gasp as you saw the bloody Changkyun, who was still your boyfriend at the time, and a slightly bruised Minhyuk. You pushed your way through to the front and bit your lip. “Minhyuk!” He backed up and stood infront of you, back facing you, dark eyes locked on the other. “Changkyun! I thought you promised you wouldnt betray her!” You frowned before peeking around his shoulder, seeing a girl run towards Changkyun and your heart shot up to your throat. 

That was the college’s campus beauty. 

You clenched your fist before tugging on Minhyuks sleeve. “Min lets go.” You whispered before pulling him back and towards your place. “Before you get in trouble.” You whispered, hand sliding down from his wrist which you had grabbed, down to his hand to pull him along. The short walk was quiet, Minhyuk gripping your hand tightly as you got to your door and unlocked the door, pushing it open.

You walked into the bathroom to grab the first aid kit, turning to get a better look at your best friend. “Min…” You whispered before moving so he could sit on the toilet and you sighed, sitting on the edge of the toilet. “Can you...explain?” You whispered as you got a qtip to start cleaning the open wounds and bandage them up.

Minhyuk watched you carefully. “Are you sure you’d like to know?” You hesitated before nodding. “I saw...I saw Irene running to him...but didn't want to see anymore.” He hummed, wincing as you dabbed on a sore spot. “Sorry.” You mumbled before sitting back so you could look him in the eye.

“Changkyun was cheating on you.”

That's what you were afraid of hearing. The obvious. The one part you didn't want to hear, Changkyun, your wonderful boyfriend, cheated.

“He was actually using you.”

That, you weren't expecting. You froze, looking down and biting your lip. Minhyuk’s fingertip tilted your head back. “I’m sorry…” He whispered and you bit your lip. “Changkyun…” You sniffed, a watery smile coming to your lips, a shaky laugh leaving them. “I guess you really did beat his ass like you said you would.” You watched a soft smile come to his mouth. “I’d do anything for you Y/n.” Your ears turned red, looking away. “Why are you...like this.” Minhyuk chuckled and kissed the top of your head before kneeling down to face you fully. “Ice cream?” You nodded, smiling faintly before you wrapped your arms around his neck and buried your face in his neck, sniffling before tears soaked his jacket and neck.

He wrapped his arms around your waist before standing up and carrying you to the kitchen, helping you wrap your legs around his waist. He sighed, humming quietly as you cried. “I should have urged you not to date him…” And you shook your head. “It’s ok Min…” You whispered, tears slowly coming to an end as he grabbed the tub of ice cream and two spoons before heading towards the couch and turning on the tv.

Grabbing a blanket Minhyuk covered the both of you, letting you maneuver yourself into a better position once he sat down. Still pressed against his side, with your legs over his lap, you could still watch the movie, be in your best friend's comforting arms, and have a tub of ice cream. You giggled faintly, opening the ice cream as Minhyuk found a movie for you both to watch. “I’ll have Kihyun bring your things after class.” You nodded, almost forgetting that you had left everything but your phone in the classroom.

You listened as Minhyuk told you how Changkyun had used you.

You suppose that's when He scratched Changkyun's face out. Your favorite picture though, was the one right next to his bed, the two of you with big grins at the beach. You shook your head rapidly, letting the grin form as you walked towards the front room, hearing the cocky voice of Wooyoung and the surprisingly mumbling voice of Changkyun.

Turning the corner you blinked a few times before walking over to stand beside Wooyoung. “Do i need to call San?” He shook his head and smirked. “We were just about done. I believe he's learned his lesson.” You hummed before pulling Wooyoung out the door after slapping the key in Changkyun’s hand. “Lock the door when you leave.”

Once out the door you let go of a breath you didn't know you were holding, lips trembling as you slumped against Wooyoung, gripping the costumes tightly. “It's been so long since i last saw him...3 years. Why is he bothering me again? Didn't he have Irene?” You take a deep breath and walk, pulling Wooyoung along as you grip his wrist. 

“Is that who you were with on the phone earlier this morning?” Wooyoung walked faster to be by your side, green eyes watching you carefully. You nodded faintly, a twitch. “It’s a long story…” You took a breath, closing your eyes before smiling and standing up straight. “We didn't have a good ending, you could say…” He hummed and nodded, lips tilted down, what looked like confusion, or...concern? You chuckled before leading him the way back to your place. “I'll tell you a short version. Minhyuk beat his ass because he cheated on me with the campus beauty. That was my first year, our first year, of college.” 

You looked at the costumes before grinning and handing one to Wooyoung. “This is yours, here you go, Mr. Mad hatter.” You grinned teasingly towards him. You kept an eye on San’s costume, grinning. Humming quietly you glanced over at Wooyoung who was awfully quiet. “Whats up?” Green eyes slid towards you from looking at his costume. “Are you going to tell San?” He rose a brow, eyes slitted. You looked down. 

“He looked pretty angry this morning at the call…” You bit your lip as you looked up at him. “Sannie will be able to smell him on you.” You frowned. “So really, what you're telling me is that I have no choice but to tell him?” You stopped walking and turned towards him. “Why did you call San?” You cocked your head. “It seemed like you had it handled decently.” You smiled a bit as you continued walking, looking up at your building as you got closer. “Sannie is going to ask you anyway.” You nodded. “Why did you give me an option then?” He shrugged, grinning at you teasingly. “I like seeing you suffer internally.” You huffed before walking towards your door and pushing it open, being greeted by San who sat on the couch but within seconds was in front of you. 

“Hello sunshine, why do you smell like someone else?” Wooyoung laughed as San looked around you, scanning you. “Well i did go into Minhyuk’s place, and this is his sweatshirt.” You shrugged and he narrowed his eyes before looking up at Wooyoung for answers. “We ran into her ex.” Wooyoung grinned quietly before leaning closer and resting his arm on your shoulder. “Ah, I see.” He hummed before knocking off Wooyoung's arm and tugging you closer. “I want you to smell like me, always.” He purred and Wooyoung took the clothes from you as he walked past, shutting the door behind him as San walked you backwards into the door, lips pulling into a grin, burying his face into your neck. 

“There is a way I can make you smell like me, forever.” He whispered, running his nose along the line of your neck to your ear. “What's that?” You whispered back, but it felt like you were underwater, in a haze. But an enjoyable one. San placed a hand on your hip, digging a sharp nail into the skin by your hip. “Mark you as forever mine.” He murmured, pinning your hips against the wall and you could feel blood prick at the spot his nail pierced. “Place a little fox right here.” He pressed the palm of his hand, smearing the blood onto his palm., the skin under his hand burning slowly. A pained whimper left your lips. “You won't be able to take the pain standing up.” He murmured and your head cleared partly as he picked you up, smirking as he passed Wooyoung who had fell onto the couch, lips quirking up back at him as he turned his attention to the abandoned TV and the show San had been watched before you both had come back.

San had tossed you over his shoulder, your head clearing more as he carried you towards your bedroom. Putting you on your head you looked up at him, tilting your head. “Shirt, off. Pants, down.” Your cheeks heated up at the words. “Excuse me?” Your head was fogging back up as San got closer, cinnamon and something more enticing making you compliant in his presence. “Shirt, off.” You tugged off your (Minhyuk’s) sweatshirt and your own shirt as you watched him carefully, the best you could through the haze. Tugging your pants down till he told you to stop. “Thats low enough.” He pushed you back on the bed more.

“Can you take the pain?” He murmured and you nodded, coherent enough to give consent. He shuffled down the bed and straddled your thighs, gripping your hips and leaning down to lick the blood off, sighing in pleasure at the taste. “So sweet.” He murmured against your stomach, smirking at the way your stomach quivered at his breath fanning over the skin, goosebumps rising over your skin, hairs standing up and making you shiver, a breathless chuckle leaving his lips as he pressed his lips against the line by your hip and sitting up. 

He looked up at you. His hand pressed against the spot and his free hand covered your mouth. He wanted it to hurt, see you scream in pain and you squirm, see tears prick at your eyes and tears slide down your cheeks. He wanted it to hurt, he wanted you to cry and squirm in his hands. San smirked, dimple making a mark on his cheek.

It started out just warm and your eyes furrowed when he put his hand over your mouth, your only answer was a smirk as the heat went up, slowly burning and you started squirming, eyes tearing up as the heat got hotter. His smirk got wider. He didnt numb it for this reason, to see you suffer and cry in pain, something he lived off of as he was demon, and he could tell by the scent outside the door that Wooyoung was living off it as well.

He let his eyes flutter shut, enjoying the muffled scream that left your mouth but was blocked by his hand. “Poor thing does it hurt.” You nodded and he laughed before opening his eyes, pushing harder on the spot that was burning. More screams left your lips and he groaned, sitting back on your thighs and removing his hand, watching your back arch as you screamed.

“You sound so pretty Y/n.” He whined faintly,before his hand curled into a fist at your hip, nails digging into the sensitive skin, more screams leaving your lips. “It hurts!” He laughed. “Thats the point. Did you forget who i was? What i am?” Your eyes shot open, when had you closed them? He was the demon, the strongest demon, the one who had the prettiest red cursive over your chest, you were his and he was making sure everyone knew, if your screams were anything to go by.

He removed his hand and looked at you, hovering over you to be eye to eye. “Who am i Y/n?” He leaned down closer, nose touching yours as he admired the tears in your eyes. “Whats my name?” He grinned, sharp nails softly sliding against your cheek and down your neck to your collarbone and down the valley of your chest and a straight line all the way down, stopped right below your navel as he waited for your answer.

“Tell me Y/n.” He spoke, fingers coming back up and dig into your jaw and cheek and he gripped your chin in his hand, pleasure and amusement. “Tell me who i am.” You choked on a sob, the intense burning continuing.

“San!”

“Incorrect.”

“Sin! Your lust! A demon.”

“Partially correct.” His grip loosened.

“Satan! You own me!” 

He released his hold on you, licking up the blood as he let his lips follow the line his fingers followed moments before. “Good girl.” He murmured, sitting back up and looking down at the red fox forming. “Look at that. Your body is already reacting to me and I just finished the full contract.”

He shuffled down and his lips pulled up into a cruel smile as your whined, head still fuzzy. “Don't go.” He licked his lips and shuffled back up, lips pressing against the skin before your ear and nibbling a little bit, your head unconsciously tilting for him, exposing more skin. His breathing deepened, heavy breaths fanning against your neck as he got caught up in the scent you gave him so willingly. His eyes dilated, the red becoming brighter as he closed his eyes, trying to control himself from losing his grip on reality. “I want to destroy you, making you come undone by my hands and mouth. I want to utterly break you.” He hissed,hands finding your wrists and pinning them up by your head. “I want you crying for me, crying my name. I want you in tears and neediness in your touch as you break. I want you to grip me like I'm your lifeline. Because I am, I'm your life now, I could kill you in so many ways and bring you back just to do it again.” His sense of reality disappeared and he growled deeply.

“Ecce ego ad te diligunt* me.” He whispered into your neck, his grip tightening. “I want you to be obsessed over me, live off my attention and touch.” His eyes snapped open as he registered the door opening and Wooyoung gently pushing him off of you. “San dont lose control of yourself.” His friend soothed before he glanced at you, he could imagine your hazy mind spinning and his hand brushed your eyes shut. “Sleep.”

He turned his attention to San, still trying to collect himself and Wooyoung climbed over the bed and pushed his wrist against San’s mouth. His scent shocked San back to himself, his eyes closing and he inhaled Wooyoung's scent. He had always told Wooyoung he was someone who could calm him down in a second. His hand lifted to hold his wrists to his mouth and nose, inhaling deeply. “You back?” Wooyoung whispered and San nodded, eyes traveling to you, who had fallen asleep at Wooyoung's command. “You did a number on her.” Wooyoung whispered and his eyes fell to the fox. “Worse than others San.” He sighed and nodded. “Let her sleep a little bit then we can get ready.” San nods before getting up with Wooyoung before turning around and covering you up with a blanket and walking out the door, closing it before him.

“Can you control yourself around her still?” San stayed quiet before falling back onto the couch and rubbing his face. “Most likely.” He smiled lightly. “I need a better answer Sannie. Or i have to do something you dont like.” Sans eyes snapped towards Wooyoung and he narrowed his eyes. “You wouldnt.” Wooyoung held his hands up. “She's a special case San. You can't break her too much.” He soothed and San relaxed, closing his eyes. Wooyoung glanced at the clock. “What time did she say the party was at?”

“7pm.” San mumbled and Wooyoung nodded, grabbing his costume. “Its about 3pm so we should get ready, let her sleep...do you think she will be mad if we let her sleep too long? Girls always make a fuss about not having enough time to do their makeup and stuff…” Wooyoung hesitated. 

“We can wake her at 5.” San mumbled before grabbing his costume as well before walking towards the bathroom slowly, still collecting himself. Closing the door he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, sliding his fingers through his hair. He know you were intoxicating, but enough to make him almost lose full control of himself?” Red eyes fluttered open before he looked down at the costume and sighed before it pulled into a smirk. The fox will show with your costume. San changed and grinned softly, twirling the headband as he opened the door, lips quirking.

Walking out San stretched before checking on you, pushing the door open he walked in, leaving it open. He moved the covers enough to check on the mark. Walking out he walked towards the kitchen to grab an ice pack. Covering it he walked back towards your room and placed his hand against the symbol carefully, cooling it down before placing the ice pak on in and covering you back up before searching your room for the costume and laying it on the bed.

Leaving the room again, San closed the door and walked back to the kitchen. “Wooyoung we should make her dinner.” He called out to the living room. “She will probably eat there.” Wooyoung called back and San puffed his cheeks before staring out the window.

If you are shorter than him, even if it’s by less than an inch, he will take that fact with PRIDE!!

He may atease you a little bit but it’s only for laughs and giggles. He knows the frustration of people constantly telling him he’s short. like, No Shit Sherlock! But it isn’t often he finds someone shorter than him, let alone being able to tease anYONE for their height.

Will try to be the best bf eva and still help with reaching the highest shelves. How? Easy! With a little bit of problem solving.

“Hinata, help me reach the top shelf!”

*will feel happy someone finally asks him for help with something he is usually incapable of doing* “Okay!”

he will either give you a piggy back ride or let you sit on his shoulders so you can grab what you want. This could either end really well or really horribly. Worst case scenario is if one of you get hurt in the process but you guys usually laugh it off!

All in all, is gonna be mega soft for you. Treat you like a baby princess. Will always spoon you!! Cuddles!!

IF YOU’RE EYES SPARKLE AT HOW GOOD YOUR BABE IS AT VOLLEYBALL HE WILL S W O O N. You’ll make him feel like the most powerful man on the planet.

If we talk about sleep, he‘s still going to be the big spoon. Yet he doesn’t mind being the little spoon. He likes being both! As long as you’re with him he will sleep soundly like the babey he is.

At this point, height isn’t a factor he cares about. It is all about personality!!!

Really cherishes and cares about you. He’s just a cute bean that loves volleyball. Have a lot of trust and faith in him! He wants to be the best boyfriend ever 🥺 honestly will skip a few practices for you. But you owe him!

When it comes to physical attraction he leans towards long hugs and regular cuddle sessions. He likes your warmth 🥺💖 He’ll just lay on top of you. He’s just like a weighted blanket. Before he had feelings for you his mind was crammed with volleyball. There was no other room for anything else. But when YOU came into his life, he felt like things about volleyball was dumped far away.,, Deep in his noggin. He was getting confused about simple things and started overthinking about his movements more. His serves became less accurate/delayed. Safe to say you had an effect on his practice. He kinda got angry at you about it LMAO

Of course the other teammembers figured something was wrong with Kageyama, but they didn’t know why. He’s a very hard person to read,,, that is until he’s around you. He obviously acts differently. His cheeks become a little more pink and he stutrers his words more often. He doesn’t say anything mean to you like he does with Hinata or others. He’s more.. soft around you?? Plus he never stops staring. They INSTANTLY knew he liked you. He was always in denial but they never believed him. This was followed by countless attempts to tease Kageyama. Hinata and Tsuki really got on his nerves at those times.

Once when you guys SOMEHOW got together, he was pretty stoked about it.

Again, the only thing in his brain is volleyball. If you can’t handle him and his passion then the door is right there. Please fully support him with all you have!

He doesn’t care if you play volleyball or not. Just as long as you’re there for him. He‘ll become really bright if you ask him about it, too. Like, his eyes will sparkle and almost show more color. He’ll ramble about it for ages before getting flustered and stopping himself. You could only chuckle,, as you think he’s adorable. You can obviously tell volleyball is his passion.

Cheer him on during matches! Even though he’ll get flustered and will probably be teased by Tsukishima and Hinata, it makes him play better (he wants to look good for you ;]).

It will take a long time until he gets comftorable with you and know what’s okay and not okay. At the start of a relationship he doesn’t want to be wrong. He hates being wrong. Despises it. He wants to always be right so he can be the perfect boyfriend you deserve. So,, to not make a fool of himself, he observes you and takes mental notes of anything you say. He will try to avoid asking directly if something is good/okay, but he will ask if needed. It’ll be a total awkward mess for him but at the end of the day he cares and wants whats best for you.

He isn’t very touchy but in private he digs for cuddles. Being able to sit so close to you like that makes him head over heels for you. He’ll also die if you play with his hair. He’d act like he hates it at first but he could honestly fall asleep as you rub his scalp 🥺

In public he might sheepishly hold your hand. With him always observing you, he can tell when something is wrong. He might be able to pinpoint what’s bothering you exactly. He’s that good. He is more of an action than words type of guy so he will purposely give you more attention. He’ll try to hint that he can tell something’s off. If you don’t get the hints he’ll finally ask if you’re okay. Will give you anything that he thinks you want or need. You want to talk about it? He’s listening. Cry on his shoulder? His arms are open. Want to distract yourself? Lets go do something. Movie? Sure thing. Eat? Already on it. Just talk about anything? Okay.

He won’t admit it but he loves seeing your smile so when that’s taken away from him he wants it fixed ASAP.

You guys will have regular study sessions. Even though he’s volleyball smart he’s flat out dumb when it comes to school work (but don’t tell him that). A nicer word would be ‘clueless.’ You’ll help him with notes and homework since you’ll probably have some of the same classes as him. He very much appreciates it. He might show his appreciation by giving you a peck on the cheek or lips (if your lucky).

just finished rewatching toy story 1 thru 3 over the past few days, wanted to share my thoughts:

i love these movies a whole lot. the first 2 hold a bunch of nostalgia for me because i was A Baby when 2 came out and when i was also A Baby i would just watch our VHS copy of toy story 1 over and over again. this also makes me the exact age group to be emotionally destroyed by toy story 3, which came out just as i was entering high school and hit really close to home

individual thoughts:

toy story: the first thing i noticed was it still looks really nice even watching in 2019!! which i think is kind of spectacular for the first feature-length computer-animated film. it no doubt helps that the plot is mostly focused on little plastic dolls without realistic hair or clothing to animate but the semi-”cartoon” art direction means the human characters also look pretty nice without going too far into the uncanny valley.

also, the plot is WAY darker than i remember?? not because of sid and all the body horror toys, but because for like half of the movie woodys friends think hes an actual (toy) murderer carrying around the severed arm of his victim (!!) like, its hilarious, but also wow theres a LONG way to go between there and the climax of toy story 3.

the soundtrack is probably my favorite of the bunch. part of that is probably nostalgia but i just really like the consistency of having randy newman singing every song. it sort of elevates him to part of the story, like an omniscient narrator singing woodys (and later buzzs) inner monologue. 2 (and especially 3) didnt have as many musical numbers, which i can understand with a shift to a larger-scale approach to storytelling, but i really like the feeling it gives number 1. “you got a friend in me” is an obvious classic thats been remixed and brought back in just about every piece of toy story media im aware of, but “strange things” and “i will go sailing no more” deserve just as much recognition and praise. there just isnt a weak number among them

toy story 2: heres where the story started getting bigger and more existential, which basically becomes the new direction of the series. which makes sense! this one released 4 years after the first, and while theres no real timeskip in the story (maybe 6 months?) it had been a little while since we last saw woody and the gang. everybody in the real world had gotten older, and with the turn of the millennium approaching, the theme of impermanence loomed large in the collective unconscious. well, maybe not in my unconscious, because i was 2. but its really interesting as kind of a “time capsule” to what people were thinking about as the 90s came to a close.

so toy story 2 was a little more grounded, a little more focus on the human world, but it was also more fantastical in its presentation. the opening “video game” sequence (which still looks amazing!!) and woodys nightmare (”i dont wanna play with you anymore...”) show the animators at pixar really found their groove and started getting experimental. and to great result!! the fantasy sequences are a lot of fun and help 2 really stand out.

i would be remiss not to mention jessies flashback song here. its something else they hadnt really done in the first film and i think it really works. jessie in this film unfortunately doesnt get to do much other than fight with woody about whether he should stay or go (except for when she saves him in the end) but this song makes her character work. it also helps that it destroys me every time

also i think this is the movie that gave me an appreciation for the acting of kelsey grammer. i dont really agree with his politics (i also dont know specifically what they are) but he is a damn fine actor and gives the prospector a very genuinely intimidating edge after his heel turn. the casting really makes the character here, but thats nothing new for toy story-- every voice works. if i were the casting director, i probably wouldnt have pulled erudite kelsey grammer for a character named “stinky pete,” but as it is now i couldnt imagine him voiced by anyone else.

the last thing about toy story 2 is it feels like there were a lot more pop culture references? at least as far as i noticed. there are apparently even more than i noticed but i caught on to the “also sprach zarathustra” riff in the opening, and the jurassic park rearview mirror gag. and of course the extended star wars reference with zurg vs. utility belt buzz (and i guess zurg in general.) the references are cute and mostly unobtrusive but really i could take or leave them.

oh yeah also al is hilarious. just this rude, neurotic businessman whos incredibly self-important for the owner of a minor(?) toy store chain. hes such a puffed-up jerk, every time hes on-screen is a delight

toy story 3: this one kills me to death. i always get misty-eyed during “when somebody loved me” but the ending of 3 where andy introduces his toys to bonnie and plays with them one last time made me sob the first time i watched it. and it still does! thats the long game right there, thats the payoff of over 10 years loving these characters. its an emotional ketchup bomb, everything gets all messy and soggy and sweet. hopefully 4 can follow up, but im not really worried about that-- ive heard some good things. damn, its been 9 years since this movie came out, though! it really doesnt feel all that long, but i guess i havent been doing all that much

i actually dont know if i have much else to say about 3. the opening with the re-imagining of the previous films openings (woody versus one-eyed bart, buzz and woody vs. the evil dr. porkchop) is a highlight, although theres a conspicuous lack of bo peep. ive heard she has a big part in 4, but it was kind of weird to see a lot of toys missing and their absence (mostly) glossed over after the first few minutes. i miss r.c. and lenny, but i get they wanted to narrow down the cast so all of them could get in on the plot.

speaking of which, the escape scene is great too. its kind of a crystallizing moment of how close these characters are, and how well they work together. it reminds me a lot of the escape from sids house in the first movie, but there woody was working with sids body-horror toys and seemed to strike up a rapport with them bizarrely quickly. (speaking of which, i miss those toys! their designs were super cool, but i cant imagine they got much merchandise, especially babyface with the sharp, metal spider legs.) here, though, woody and the gang cooperate the best they ever have, and it really paints a picture of how close theyve become over the years, and justifies the emotional climax in the landfill. this is what i was talking about when i said i was surprised how dark toy story 1 got! these toys all hated woodys guts back then for what they thought he did to buzz. they kicked him out of a moving truck! its just weird to think about that conflict between them when you know how long they end up sticking together. but thats, like, neat, so its ok. it feels earned, its just kind of crazy in hindsight.

toy story 3 was also obviously made long after the first two-- by comparison, the lighting is way more sophisticated, the humans are a lot more detailed. theres just a lot more detail In General. the main cast is, like, super dirty for the middle 90% of the film, and it feels like, yeah, We Have This Technology Now. we can render so many individual glitter sprinkles suck to hamms ass and they will be in every single scene. the “fur tech” on lotso and buster is also an obvious clue, especially in the flashback to lotso trudging through the rain back to his owners house. its like “look! we can make this teddy bear SO wet!” and wow! yeah! you did! so wet!

lotso himself is also an interesting villain in terms of sheer bastardness. he is just a huge jerk. he could have hit that button so easily! and he was so mean to the baby! but at the same time hes a great character in how he slowly “changes” throughout the movie. he is kind of an obvious “pixar ‘twist’ villain” but again, the amazing performance by ned beatty really saves him. also he does get a nice comeuppance at the end, which was necessary because hes really the biggest villain in the series so far. hes knowingly malicious and doesnt have any greater motive, hes just an embittered megalomaniac who (apparently) has sent other toys to be broken, thrown away, and incinerated at the landfill. he honestly deserves worse than being strapped to the front of a truck but it works for a family movie.

i have a couple more thoughts on 3 (i guess i did have a fair amount of stuff to say about it) but im getting tired of writing. the music is good as usual, but the vocal stuff being entirely back-loaded (in the credits) is a bit disappointing since ive always been a fan of the songs, but i get that they were going for something different. the jokes about ken being, uh, ‘flamboyant’ felt out of place, mostly the one at the end (”uh, buzz? barbie didnt write this”) because it comes from one of the gang and not unnamed lotso goon #3, but i guess its pretty tame in the scheme of things.

overall im really looking forward to seeing what 4 does with the series. whew!

Can Lying Be Good Analysis

• When Deceit shows up Thomas is very startled. He reacts much the way he used to react when Anxiety popped up. He does not know it’s not Morality but he is suddenly scared. I’m not sure this means anything other than Deceit doesn’t announce himself like Patton does but I think it’s worth noting.

• He also says “Papa’s in the House” which while he doesn’t realize it’s untrue, it’s untrue.

• “Guess who has ten fingers and is very confused? This guy! Heh heh I’m silly like that.” Liar liar pants on fire. He’s not confused or sill and he’s certainly not Patton.

• Roman immediately apologizes to Virgil for calling him Charlie frown, he’s doing so well.

• “Oh good, Logan, everyone’s favorite character!” GUYS MY HEART!!! He says this cause it’s a lie. This is one of his insults that’s backhanded because of who he is and Logan is honestly pleased by this and thinks it’s a genuine compliment. Ouch.

• In loo of Patton Virgil is the moral compass. He’s the one telling Thomas not to lie to Joan cause it’s wrong, Logan is indifferent, Roman wants to lie.

• also can we just? We had a Virgil went missing episode, then a Logan went missing episode, then a Morality (secretly) went missing episode. Is Roman next?

• “Well you’ll have no trouble at all explaining that to them.” Is this a lie? Does he believe it? Can he tell truths? It’s about the future so can it be considered a lie or a truth or is that a gray area.

• Virgil is displeased

• Logan’s wise eyes and soft Ooooh when he realizes Thomas wants to lie. He doesn’t tell Thomas it’s wrong, he knows that’s not his job, but he is surprised and doesn’t seem happy about it.

• So I looked into Kant some. The story is actually from Kant and not Plato. Kant believed that Morality is based in reason. It’s trying to do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing, and not as a means to achieve an end that benefits you or others. Saving your friend is what most of us would view is the right thing, but according to Kant, the result of your actions don’t make them right if they would be wrong in other circumstances. Morality is based on reason and truth not lies and manipulation. Interestingly though many people believe that according to Kant’s philosophy you simply could not lie to the murderer, so if you were to say “I will not tell you that because I want to protect this person and I believe you will kill them” then that is not a lie, that is the truth. You are not manipulating their reality, or using them as a means to accomplish your ends. I think Deceit knew all of this but he left it out. I this was a lie of omission.

• I also find it very interesting that it was Kant that Thomas and Joan chose because Kant believes all Morality is based in reason, also known as Logic. I’ll make a separate post for this though cause I want to really get into that on its own.

• Deceit’s rant about Kant is in direct opposition to Patton’s short and factually incorrect statement about Plato and that speaks volumes about them as characters. Deceit usesfancy names and technicalities to manipulate the others while Patton finds the content of the story is more important to his point, and then makes jokes about eating play dough.

• Logan is impressed but also confused. I think he suspects something is off at this point.

• “Well I’m Morality I gotta know my stuff.” No you’re not and that’s not his job anyway, another lie.

• “Impressed isn’t the word I’d use.” Virgil still thinks this is Patton and he’s really disappointed in his friend.

• “The point is many people think Kant is just a bit idealistic.” By this he means many people think Kant was an amoral piece of shit with no regard for the consequences of his actions. Do understatements count as lies?

• “Patton I thought you said Lying was wrong” “well it’s all about your priorities friendo. What’s more important to us, Joan’s feelings or honesty?” I once saw a post on here that said if somebody ever tells you you only have two choices, it’s a lie. It’s a lie and they want you to forget about the other choices. If somebody tells you you can have an apple or an orange they want you to forget you can have and apple or an orange, or both, or neither, or a banana. There’s never just two choices and deceit isn’t just deceit is manipulation.

• when Logan says “see I know things too.” He feels threatened when people know more than him.

• “I can’t lie to Joan.” “Detailed instructions of how to lie to Joan.” Me though.

• Roman breaking the fourth wall about the shapeshifting thing.

“Maybe if you’re considering lying to Joan you deserve to be punished.” Virgil is like. Harsh. He’s really protective of Thomas’s friends. Even from Thomas.

• “Strategy” for lying to Joan. I don’t think Logan can really like this but he’s respecting Thomas’ decisions anyway because hours not his job to ask question moral decisions.

• “DWI” “Driving While Intoxicated” guys I’m crying this is so funny I can’t

• Logan says no so soft and he looks at the back of the card before he tells Roman the real definition because he’s unsure and he’s scared of being wrong.

• “Aww Pwease! Right? You know how I love cartoons?” This an attempt to appear more like morality and assign a reason to take the job Roman really wants which real Patton wouldnt do.

• “you were a mistake” Roman wtf.

• “Doctor Who reference? Fantastic.” Clever and borders on word association. Nice.

• “Roman, that was a beautiful portrayal of a mother betrayed by her son.” It was terrible and Roman just let’s this snake man fool him. Smh.

• “Logan does Thomas have that information?” “No he doesn’t.” My serious son takes this serious question seriously.

• A homeless lady ate it.

• Let👋 Virgil👋 say👋fuck👋!!!!!! Kidding don’t ever.

• I will always find Logan teaching things extremely comforting. Logan is comforting. This is going to be a video I watch when I have a bad day because it has Logan teaching us things.

• “We should makes point to actually feed the homeless later” “totally” wow. He doesn’t agree at all. He doesn’t think they should try to feed the homeless he thinks they should just lie about feeding the homeless.

• Virgil: “what if mom found out”

Logan: “According to Romans portrayal probably some kind of betrayal driven disownment.”

Virgil: “WHAT?!?!?!?!?!”

This is funny because Logan I think is attempting to make a negative remark about Roman’s portrayal of Thomas’ mom but Virgil takes it very seriously and considers it as a real possibility because Logan said it and now he’s afraid.

• “Action! That’s not just for movies!” Maybe he can’t stop talking until he’s told a lie.

• Virgil’s booing.

• Virgil saying nice to the idea of working at hot topic

• “Drama Terg” Deceit does not once refer to any one of them as kiddo.

• Roman feels off after the Lying to get out of work scene and he looks to Patton hoping that, as morality, Patton will put a stop to all this, or reassure him. Deceit isn’t Patton so he doesn’t.

• Virgil is appalled Patton isn’t upset by this.

• Patton is pleased during the case scene.

• Roman announces he’s feeling icky. He’s bad at describing emotions and understanding them too I think. We get descriptions like “icky” or “Bittery Jittery and not very Glittery” when he’s upset.

• “Everyone knows where babies come from. Messenger Falcons.” An attempt at behaving like Patton or a lie for the sake of lying? It’s poorly executed if it’s a Patton imitation. Patton doesn’t believe he knows and he thinks “Storks are involved”, storks are not messenger falcons. No one in the history of the world has ever suggested messenger falcons deliver babies that’s preposterous.

• “And stopping again, Thomas I didn’t believe any of that.” A truth? Or was there a very small part he did believe.

• Roman gets really upset and puts this energy into freaking out over a soppy cup prop.

• Virgil is so ready to be done he completely misinterprets Roman.

• These nerds and their love of the classical arts poetry geeks logince someone write an au dammit.

• “Thomas, you don’t want to make Joan mad at you do you?” Manipulative bastard.

• “Could you stand to lose the support of one of Thomas’ friends?” Playing on Virgil’s insecurity that Thomas’ friends will leave them.

• can we just. Virgil. We’ve talked about Patton probably being scary when angry but not Virgil. We haven’t actually seen Virgil Angry up until now. Mildly annoyed? Concerned? Disappointed? Afraid? Yes. But not genuine anger. Here we see a glimpse and he’s holding back because it’s Patton. Never be on the wrong end of an angry Virgil he’ll kill you with one look.

• “Virgil? it’s me. Aren’t we friends?” “I’m not so sure we are.” I’m pretty sure he still thinks this is Patton. Which means this is a really powerful moment for Virgil. Patton was the first person to really value him in the mind palace and treat him as a friend and an equal. He considers Patton his best friend. This is Virgil, standing his ground even if it means giving up almost all the progress he’s made with the others to do the right thing. It takes great courage to stand up to ones enemies. And a great deal more to stand up to ones friends.

• Deceit realized no part of Thomas is going to budge and he gets desperate.

• “I know what I said, it doesn’t matter, in this situation it’s the right thing to do, period.” His voice starts to chance here it’s nasally.

• he practically shreiks “Yes”

• he drops the act and you can see it visibly the moment he gave up Thomas is such a good actor.

• “wow I’m so proud of you Thomas you’re so mature.” He doesn’t care if Thomas notices somethings off now.

• “I knew something was off” he knew something was off but not what was off. He really didn’t know that wasn’t Patton.

• Logan thinks it’s obvious he figured it out a while ago but didn’t say anything. Probably because he knew he couldn’t. Though he does try to say it here. I really wonder what point he figured it out.

• my sweet oblivious prince.

• “oooh I don’t know either Thomas you might not like what you find.” So Deceit lies to Thomas about himself to keep Thomas happy right? But here he doesn’t care about concealing himself and seems to be goading Thomas so he’ll ask. So he’s lashing out at Thomas because he’s angry Thomas didn’t go with his plan.

• Logan says Deceit much the same way he says Falsehood.

• “Did you just finish washing some dishes?” “Yesss” Deceit seems to take a lot of joy in this specific lie which I find very very funny.

• “Oh, you are, Thomas. You are a good person. Everybody says so.” Daaaaaaamn.

• The exchange between Logan and Deceit. I got chills.

• I am and always have been Patton muahahaha

• the other three are so done with his bs but Thomas is genuinely terrified

• okay but it would be an interesting idea if Deceit has been Morality the whole time. Awful and angsty, but interesting.

• “ow that Hurt, I mean that didn’t hurt me at all ow” he can tell truths, but does he have to tell lies?

• we’ll see him again and I’m looking forward to it. Every story needs a good old fashioned villain.

• Virgil is so happy to hear Patton’s dad jokes again he doesn’t hide his smiles.

• The eating play dough thing has me cracking up but especially the part where Logan was confused and he thought Patton meant he was eating the ancient and very dead philosopher Plato.

• Roman is adorable and he’s a knight and a hero I love him.
