Time Travel Question 47: Early Modernish and Earlier 2 (Reposted. First Version Had Issues

These Questions are the result of suggestions a the previous iteration.

This category may include suggestions made too late to fall into the correct earlier time grouping. Basically, I'd already moved on to human history, but I'd periodically get a pre-homin suggestion, hence the occasional random item waaay out of it's time period, rather than reopen the category.

In some cases a culture lasted a really long time and I grouped them by whether it was likely the later or earlier grouping made the most sense with the information I had. (Invention ofs tend to fall in an earlier grouping if it's still open. Ones that imply height of or just before something tend to get grouped later, but not always. Sometimes I'll split two different things from the same culture into different polls because they involve separate research goals or the like).

It's been a WHILE since I've done this, but... Yayy it's selfship Sunday. I'm trying to get back into writing and art, but there's so few hours in the day lol. I imagine that's probably how s/i bri feels as well, because she really wants to girlboss her way around the world, but still wants to be Giornos little wife while taking care of her family and it gets a little overwhelming sometimes. "adal," the bookseller's voice is low and soft although it is deep and carries easily, all the way from the desk he sits behind to the front of the store. "it's not very often i see you in here these days." he acknowledges this with a warm smile. he glances up at the clock and feels a familiar clench just below his sternum ( concern ). it's after hours.

he always leaves the door unlocked and often stays downstairs rather than retiring to his home above the shop for at least a few hours after "closing" just in case someone needs his help. ( he can't remember the last time he had seen the werewolf take advantage of this policy, he was usually, stubbornly independent. ) he gets to his feet to approach him. "is everything alright?"

All’s calm amidst dark lolling waves. His cruiser’s been stationary for the better part of an hour. Just so he can enjoy the sun at its peak. Soak in the warm while it’s readily supplied by nature and keep himself limber for a while longer. Soon, he’ll have to dock again. Supplies are running low and he’ll have to prepare for the next full moon. Just thinking about it makes his bones ache in the worst of ways.

A flurry of ripples and distant shouting shakes him from the phantom pain.

Adal peers into the distance. Really has to squint with all the fog that’s starting to roll in. Some sort of danger’s treading these waters. It’s some defense magic thing that Oram put into place to keep the town safe by sea.

A nearby splash steals his focus. Has him lean over the railing to see who or what’s come this close. An arm’s already waving in an effort to help draw attention from beneath the water. “Come up to the surface if you’re in trouble,” he says in a hushed, urgent way.
