BASICS.
NAME. Adam Macdonald AGE. 21 BLOOD STATUS. Muggle POSITION. Confused FACECLAIM. Jake Abel
DETAILS.
As the oldest Macdonald child, Adam had responsibilities. Mary, his younger sister by barely a year, made things easier - together, they helped their siblings with whatever they needed, even as children. Their parents, while clearly very much in love, did not know how to raise a family. And, by the time they discovered Mary was a freaking witch with magic and everything, money was tight. They were happy to see her be accepted to a magical school where everything had to be pretty and easy - she had warm clothes and food. Adam, however, was not happy to watch her go. They’d been in it together and, upon boarding that train, it felt like she’d left him. They tried to stay in touch, but who had the damn time to write letters when he was trying to get after-school jobs as a teenager and make sure their heat stayed on?
The older he got, the more disillusioned he became with magic. Mary couldn’t use it outside of school but, once she graduated and never came back, the anger about this thing that he didn’t have grew even more. Magic could fix all their problems - couldn’t it? When they were struggling with food and money and other basic needs, Adam would think about how Mary could just fix it all if she cared about them enough to come home. To Adam, the magical world was a piece of shit if they were fine just leaving Muggles to rot into non-existence when they could obviously fix the things people needed.
He tries to keep the family afloat, but John has been getting into too many fights at school, while Sarah kisses too many boys and will probably wind up pregnant soon enough. Having dropped out of Sixth Form himself, finding work is hard, but he manages. Even without Mary, since she went off towards her magical paradise without the rest of them. If he finds himself in those back-alley clubs where men grind against other men, his family doesn’t have to know. Unfortunately, he winds up in bed with a man named Antonin Dolohov. Adam has known he was gay for a long time now, though he choses not to share it much, and Antonin is good looking enough and a nice shag. When Antonin turns up not only to be a wizard, but also gets very aggressive upon discovering the connection between Adam and Mary, Adam bolts and boards a train to London. He rings his family to let them know he won’t be gone for long, but just has some unfinished business to take care of. For the first time in years, he’s back in the same town as his sister and this unstable stalker dude keeps following him. Maybe it’s time to reconnect…

                                          ADAM DAVENPORT
                               THIRTY-TWO – WEAPONS TRAFFICKER – SINCLAIR
The Davenport name meant little to nothing in Chicago. Adam’s parents were unimportant, weak minded sheep with bad reputations. The pair were constantly in debt, always at each other’s throats. The Davenport home saw more domestic disputes than anyone else in Adam’s trashy neighborhood. His life growing up was a humiliating, never ending nightmare. It wasn’t just his parents, either. His peers were constantly discussing the workings of his home life. Adam’s clothes weren’t all that nice. His parents didn’t look all that great. It led to a lot of relentless teasing, but in the end, it wouldn’t really matter. Adam had never been soft; he could handle their criticisms. He’d have the last laugh, anyway -- he’d go on to make more money than any of those bastards would ever see in their lifetimes.
Mark and Paula Davenport were lousy criminals. They wrote hot checks, manufactured cheap drugs for a little cash here and there. Adam had always thought that it was pathetic. They got caught every time. They were both in and out of jail for most of his life, and when Adam was sixteen -- he thought he could outwit his idiot parents. Most people aspired to stay far away from that life, but not Adam. Why run from the only thing that he’d ever known? Besides -- he knew he could be great at it.
The day that Adam turned eighteen, he said goodbye to his parents and never looked back. He’d saved enough money for a one bedroom apartment in Chicago. That’s when Adam truly descended in to the mob world. Determined to crawl out of the shitty foundation his parents had laid for him, Adam met someone who knew someone who had a connection to the Sinclair crime family. It wasn’t hard; they practically ran the side of Chicago where he’d moved to. Eventually, an introduction was made, and he started dealing weapons for them. He’d bide his time, work the shitty jobs, until his time came (and he knew that it would).
It took him a few years to get promoted, but the wait was well worth it. Whenever Adam first got involved with the Sinclairs, he couldn’t even begin to imagine what kind of life he’d eventually have. The wealth that he made from transporting weapons from place to place was insane. He started making more money than he knew what to do with. All of the cash flowing in under Adam’s name left the Sinclairs impressed, and thus -- he was promoted again. Same title, only now, he was working on an international level. He smuggled weapons to and from the United States with little to no trouble. And the fast life he lived made for an interesting personality. Adam knew better than to form any sort of addiction -- it was easy to get wrapped up in cocaine, too much booze. He was simply a casual user. A bump here and there, a drink whenever he could, but at the end of the day -- he put his career first, no matter what.
Over the years, Adam became fluent in two other languages and showed absolutely no signs of slowing down. Business was booming, and he was cutting deals left and right. Not only was he responsible for importing the Sinclair goods, but he’d started negotiating on their behalf. He knocked down the price, formed close alliances with other organizations. The Sinclairs were swimming in money -- they didn’t actually care if Adam knocked the price down on a few shipments here and there. As a thank you to Adam and his hard work, they usually let him keep the difference. He was a hard worker, clearly loyal to their cause. The Sinclairs believed in rewarding their best employees, and Adam was definitely one of them. Now, at thirty-two, Adam finds it hard to look back on the life that he’d lived growing up. The boy that he used to be, worthless and ashamed, no longer existed within him. His parents hardly ever crossed his mind. He was finally living the life of the man that he’d always longed to be. Wealthy, powerful, confident. After the taste of all of this success, Adam is sure of one thing, and one thing only: he’d rather die than ever go back to living a pathetic life.

G L O R Y (&&) GORE — meet ADAM JACKSON; the LOOSE CANNON.
“did you hear ‘bout louie miller? he disappeared, babe, after drawing out all his hard earned cash, and now macheath spends like a sailor - could it be our boy’s done somethin’ rash?”
{ ♚  AT A GLANCE }
name: Adam Jackson.
age: 42.
gender & pronouns: UTP.
occupation: Drug dealer for the Romano family.
loyalty: Romano.
availability: Open.
faceclaim: Daniel Sunjata ( negotiable to D.B Woodside )
{ ♚ A DEEPER LOOK }
'His fingers flashed with jeweled rings when he waves at them - dealing drugs out of his pocket.’ - Adam had always liked the dangerous aspect of working for the mob. A thrill seeker, adrenaline junkie at heart; the threat of violence or of being caught had always interested him, always had him wanting more. The Army had never given him the same adrenaline rush that he got working for the Romanos - and he supposed he were glad for that, but often wished that he’d found the crime syndicate earlier. Delirium was his place of choice for the night, the drug being slipped between fingers one of Oliwia’s cocaine laced creations - nobody ever really asked what was in them, and the girl had come up with her own names and logos for all of her pills and potions. All he needed to do was move the product and return the profits to the basements - and Adam revelled in every part of it.
{ ♚ A HISTORY LESSON }
Adam Jackson was born a world away from the one he currently lives in. Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was raised to be an upstanding young gentleman. He was taught to mind his manners, to address his elders with respect, and to offer kindness and gratitude to everyone that he met. And he was damn good at it. He was overflowing with charisma, a smooth talker in every sense. By twenty one, he was married with a toddler and by twenty five, he’d enlisted in the Military, leaving his family behind to protect his country. It was everything that his parents and closest associates had always wanted for him - and for a long, long while, he’d thought it was what he’d wanted, too.
However, the Military wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Adam hated it from the moment he was deployed - but realised in the long term, what he hated most was the loss of his freedom. He realised that everything about his life, everything he’d gotten so used to pretending he loved, had been based simply on what other people wanted for him. He’d never actually made a decision for himself; and he began to resent it. He began to resent every part of his life and wanted nothing more than an escape. That escape, however, was coming sooner than he thought.
On his third tour, Adam was caught in the middle of an accident. The wrong place at the wrong time, people continually told him. That didn’t sound like the right explanation for the loss of a leg, and certainly didn’t give him the comfort that people were intending to. It was upon his return that Adam made somewhat of a rash decision. It was his time to reclaim his life, to make decision that he wished he’d made years ago. After his recovery, Adam bought himself a one way plane ticket to New York City and never looked back.
Leaving his entire life behind was not a decision that was welcomed by those in North Carolina. However, reconsidering was not in his nature. New York City was a completely different ball game - and for a veteran with low qualifications and demanding health needs, finding steady work soon became a problem. It was a year or so after his arrival that he became involved in the drugs trade. A few short months later, he’d been recruited to work for the city’s biggest criminal organisation - something that would have seemed completely out of his nature - but it provided job stability and gave him enough income to provide decent healthcare for himself. He took the job opportunity without much consideration and has been working for them ever since.
{ ♚ NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT }
Adam has been in New York for just short of twelve years, and has worked for the Angeli Mortis for ten of those. With the murder of Michael Romano, Adam’s entire world was rocked. What would that mean for their organisation, for the job security he’d built up over those years? When Juliet’s murder followed, Adam found himself even more uncertain. For the first time in over a decade, he wondered if he’d made the wrong decisions. Making the decision as to what family he stood with was a quick one, but one he had to make nonetheless. He decided that he was on the same side as the Romano family, quickly finding it easier to believe that the Venturi were behind Michael’s murder than anyone else. The jury was still out on Juliet’s - it was too quick to have been a revenge murder, and he remains uncertain as to who is behind that one. However, being on the Romano side, it’s not entirely a big question any more. As long as he stays in a job and the money continues to flow into his pockets, he’s fairly content with the life he’s living.
{ ♚ ABOUT THE PERSONALITY }
+: witty, intelligent, independent, self-sufficent -: brash, unempathetic, selfish, isolated
Adam has moulded himself into somewhat of a loner over the years. He prefers his own company and prefers not to be influenced by those around him. He’s independent to the point of irritation and never accepts help from others - no matter how much they need it. However, Adam Jackson is a wise man, with a lot of time for those younger than him, when they get past the hard exterior he seems to have. He’s aware that he appears standoffish - approachable has never been a word used to describe him, but a grudge is not in his nature. He’s still that same Southern Gentleman at heart - he just doesn’t have very many opportunities to show it off these days.
{ ♚ FRIENDS & FOES }
♠ The Romano Family ( ASSOCIATES ) - “you did not desert me, my brothers in arms.” ; Adam has gone through a lot with the Angeli Mortis, and now expects the same from a sole Romano family. He knows, that without their protection, he’d have quite a lot of prison time lined up - and will forever be grateful for that, although he doesn’t tend to show it all too often. Whether or not he’s chosen the right side, he’ll stand with the Romanos until a bloody, bitter end - as his newfound brothers in arms, he’d give anything for the family that gave him everything he has.
♠ Kira Miller ( FRIEND WITH BENEFITS ) - “steps out of the shade, says something like, ‘you and me babe, how about it?’”; Kira was someone Adam had never expected to come back into his life. They’d grown up together in North Carolina, had somewhat of an extra-marital fling before he’d been deployed. Kira had always been a what if that he’d considered over the years - and after running into her in Delirium, he wasn’t going to let the chance get away from him again. The two have been sleeping together for a few months now, but Adam is keeping her at an arms length, unsure if he’d be making the same mistake he made as a young man by jumping in too early.
♠ Oliwia Ajeti ( FRIEND / SUPPLIER ) - “but when i got a little bit older, i learned, i had to kill the snakes myself.”; Adam has been working with Oliwia since her induction into the Romano family, and she remains to be one of the few people he’d call a friend. A charming young girl with a similar sense of humour to himself, he knows she considers him to be the brother that she’d never had. He’s willingly stepped into that role, providing advice and a place of refuge whenever required - although he knows entirely how independent Liv is, but he also knows when to extend his help without being asked. She’s the one he works with most often, being the main distributor and seller of her drugs - and is one of the few trusted not to use them.

THIS IS YOUR GAME
Name: Adam Radford Age: Twenty Class Year: Sophomore Position: Defensive Dealer, #26 Hometown: Montville, New Jersey
THIS IS YOUR MOMENT
Adam had always had a bronze—never quite silver—spoon in his mouth and an entourage on his arm. He was brought into a small fortune and something that resembled charm, between his father’s construction company, underground night clubs, and alumni Exy status due to his reign on the University of Texas team, Adam had a life laid out for him before he even took his first breath. The second it was announced that they were having a son, the Radfords scrambled through their contacts to make sure everything was in order. I got another one for you, his father told his old coach at Texas. And, luckily for them, Adam was more than happy to comply. With his father’s looks and name Adam barely knew that he was a person of his own. He was a copy of his father, a man so strong and powerful that Adam followed him without ever having to be asked, and the arrogance and disregard for others that appeared so well-respected on his father he had no issue picking up for himself.
As soon as grade school started Adam was thrust into the world of Exy, his father’s well sought out connections in their area immediately placing him on the best team for his age group. His father even went so far as to weasel his way into assistant coaching positions, always making sure Adam was playing to the best of his ability and that the resources offered to him were nothing short of first-rate. If it weren’t for Exy, the relationship between Adam and his father would likely have been nearing non-existent, for his father rarely spent time off the court at home. The excuses of business meetings and long distance trips were almost discreet, if not for the fact that Adam Sr. didn’t seem to care about who knew of his indiscretions—and it wasn’t long before even the young Adam knew what was going on. The way his mother reacted, the way she brushed it off as if it were as common as going to the store to get milk, led Adam to believe that cheating were just a part of married life. And so he carried on living in that world, as if it were still the perfect world of the 60s where men ruled all with the wave of their hand. With that elephant shoved in the closet, they carried out their lives, Adam moving throughout his years shining brightly on and off the court with his dad cleaning up any of his messes along the way, ensuring his future held nothing but bright prospects.
Blair Academy had been watching Adam since he first stepped on the court, Adam Sr. promising them they wouldn’t want to miss a thing—and it seemed he was right. Blair Academy was best known for it’s sports teams, with Exy no exception, and so while the rest of his teammates continued on to to be high school Broncos, Adam would be trading in his black and gold jersey for a blue and white one. Despite it being a boarding school, five days a week his mother drove him there to drop him off and again to pick him up, a sacrifice they deemed well worth the while. Adam couldn’t get the extra training with his father that he needed if he didn’t come home and despite his father yet again managing to secure one of four assistant coaching positions, team practices weren’t enough.
In his junior year, it seemed his mother had finally decided she had had enough of dealing with his father. The divorce was a mess, property and businesses being split—but, more than that, Adam was concerned about his living situation. While he was stuck in Montville with his mom, his dad moved further upstate to Rockaway to be closer to the school. Adam was furious, he hated his mother for ending it over something that wasn’t new to anyone, something that seemed so normal to him—like she had just gotten bored, and that adultery was just a good enough excuse to call it quits, and to blame his father for it. Beyond that, being closer to school was practical. She was keeping him to be petty and Adam didn’t quite like being a part of her revenge plot.
So, when she wouldn’t let him live with his dad, he decided to take matters into his own hands. While he was used to hearing the word no it always came with a timer, never meaning anything more than not now. He started raising hell, in hopes that it would make the timer count down faster: stealing from her liquor cabinet, breaking dishes, smashing holes in the wall, and name-calling reached an all time high. Within a matter of months, teachers were grudgingly overlooking his behavior, Adam’s dad along with his other coaches talking them into giving him far too many chances, excusing it as another teenager rebelling against a divorce. Adam Sr. was anything but thrilled at his reputation being tarnished for the sake of his son’s temper tantrums but Adam knew there was a cause. And he discovered that they had other benefits: he was number 1 on the court and within his new found group, and suddenly his friends and teammates were turning to him when a decision had to be made despite the scorn he received from his elders. He was always a spoiled child and the fits and tantrums had always existed, but he learned then just how powerful they were. Rebellion and anger were lights to moths, everyone wanted to be near them, to watch them flicker in the dark—and so Adam ran with it.
Eventually, his mother caved. She couldn’t take it anymore and so she called his father, begging him to take their son off her hands. Apparently, Adam Sr. put up a fight, not willing to deal with any more of Adam’s moods and rebellion than he already did, and so for the sake of her son she pretended she never called her ex-husband in the first place. It almost worked, too, but eventually Adam found out the hard way, hearing it from his father’s own mouth. But by that point, Adam had already accepted his full ride Exy scholarship to the University of Texas—continuing the legacy of a man who no longer wanted him, who thought he was more trouble than he was worth.
SEIZE IT WITH EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT
Adam was enraged, and he decided that he was quitting Exy as a protest against his father—but that only lasted a day before his father’s equally enraged phone call met him on the other line. The conversation didn’t go particularly well, but in the end Adam was persuaded that he couldn’t abandon his life’s work. That didn’t stop him from being an asshole, though, and his bad behavior only grew in intensity. But it seemed that the light he thought he found could easily catch fire. He took to skipping classes, spitting on classroom floors, picking fights with his teammates, getting yellow carded every game—and when referees started kicking him off the court, Texas decided that they had had enough of him as well. Without his dad there, no one could argue his case to protect him. While they told him he would still be allowed to attend school there, given that he could get his academic act together, Exy and his scholarship were no longer an option and, without Exy, he was sure not to have his father’s support for tuition.
Adam’s father wasn’t going to just give up that easily, though, and quickly a phone call informed Adam that he had another option: Palmetto State. It felt like a joke that Adam had become such a problem that the Foxes was now his only option, but also that he was enough of a charity case that they would even take him to begin with. It was a punishment, and everyone who ever knew Adam knew it, the wake up call that was supposed to get him back onto the path he was born on, boot camp and rehab all in one. Grudgingly, he went to meet with Wymack and, obviously, something in they meeting went well because he next day an announcement: former University of Texas Longhorn Adam Radford would be joining the Palmetto State Foxes.
