when they’re 15, Dazai makes his life a living hell because of it, but after he finds out about Chuuya’s past it’s one of the first thing that puts it in perspective and he tones down the teasing a lot. (but never stops it obviously bc that’s asking too much)

he’s for sure not dead. My theory is that as long as crime and punishment exists, so does Fyodor, or he is in some way connected to the concept. My other theory is that he is literally the embodiment of crime and punishment, like he says in dead apple.
