Anyway, I quite like this movie (Love Birds) not just because Rhys Darby is fucking adorable to an infuriating degree (he is), but also because it's one of the more believable rom-com relationships I've seen (despite the duck, though I love the duck, and thanks in large part to Rhys Darby and Sally Hawkins being very sweet together).

Like, it makes sense that these two people would indeed fall in love with each other, it evades a lot of the more problematic tropes of 2010s rom-coms, and when The Conflict shows up it's neither shoehorned in nor easily overcome, and no one is 100% at fault for behaving as they do. It's also very much about being with someone who loves you as you, rather than their image of what you should be.

I started out going "oh, this is deeply silly" and have kinda ended with "I think this might be one of the better rom-coms out there." Also the entire soundtrack is Queen.

Boy King au has really been on my mind lately. Would anyone joke about how Nando is using heels to be slightly taller? Does Seb use ihs slight height advantage to dangle Nando's footwear just out of reach?

One. He can make the excuse that he only wears the heels because they're in style and Seb doesn't wear them because he is UNFASHIONABLE!!! So he's not trying to be taller 🙄🙄 he's just with the times

2. I feel like the height insecurity is something that he's pretty unaware of, like it's more of an unconscious thing to refer to him as little. And he thinks of it more in the metaphorical way I mentioned, rather than an actual physical thing. If that makes sense?? Lmk!!

But I do think Seb teases him about it. Seb doesn't care about being short, and he doesn't care about being fashionable. Seb is Seb. So I think he'd make fun of Nando's shoe collection, like damn, do you really need to be this intense about footwear? I don't think he's tall enough to withhold them from Nando though LOL(their height difference is noticeable but more just because you're used to both of them being the short one, so it's weird that one of them is genuinely shorter than the other.) But I think it's really pot calling the kettle black 😭😭 because he is always making a big deal with wearing robes and a crown all the time, so he really can't speak on this...

"Light!" Luis yells happily as he ran towards him and hugs him, before picking him up and holding Light's butt with both hands. "Happy birthday, sweetheart! My king~" Luis spoke in a very happy tone, kissing Light's face all over and nuzzles his nose with his.

(Light's birthday was actually yesterday but Luis didn't know. Also, Luis's in a very affectionate mood *sweats*)

Light was eating some snacks before he blinks hearing a familiar voice. Before looking he yelps being picked up by Luis to blink looking at him. "Uhhh thank y-" he blushed feeling the nuzzles and kisses all over. It was rather nice.
