now, this may not be the most lore accurate situation and Clotted Cream may or may not be slightly ooc, but who cares >:D

To be summoned to Clotted Cream Cookie’s office was always a delight to Affogato Cookie. as he entered and turned to the consul, he smiled and closed the door behind him.

“good evening, my consul. do you require my advice? or my assistance.”

he had been in the Creme Republic helping the Consul for a while now. even though some of his proposals were still denied, it helped the Consul get a little time off and gave him the ability to have a bit more power in the republic.

“yes, hello, please come in. and please, lock the door?” he stated, motioning the other inside as he set down his pen. this made Affogato slightly excited and he smiled and obeyed, shutting the door and locking it.

“how may i assist you, my Consul?”

his love for the consul had been something in the air since they just met, if we’re completely honest. he hadn’t tried to keep the secret, and it was just a fact that everyone knew now. nobody truly minded except the elders and his father.

“i wanted to address some,… allegations, against you.” Clotted Cream said, his hands now folded neatly on his desk. however, his words made the other’s stomach drop. he felt a bit nervous now as he visibly tensed up, and quickly rushed to defend himself.

“if they are from the Dark Cacao kingdom, darling, i d-“ he started, but the consul quickly interrupted him.

“no, not those.”

“i see.” he responded, now relaxing his nerves. “so what may they be, darling?” he asked as he watched the other hesitate for a moment, before looking him dead in the eyes and asking,

“have you told anyone that we are in a relationship…?” he asked nervously. it felt like an odd question, yes, but the rumors of their alleged relationship had made their way back to him. it was true, they had talked about their feelings for one another. but they had agreed that it was for the better to delay making anything official, or public. Affogato looked at the consul with a smile. as he started getting closer to the consul.

“are we not, my love?”

“Affogato Cookie.. do not do this with me. we have already established that we are most certainly are not for the time being.” he shut his eyes and looked away from the other.

“ah, but darl-“ he started, before once again being interrupted by the other.

“silence. Affogato Cookie, please dispel these rumors, at once. we already established tha-“ before he could finish, Affogato, without a second thought, kissed the consul (on the lips😨) and looked at him with pure love in his eyes until he closed them and was pushed away. the consul completely caught off guard, though he shut his eyes for a moment and enjoyed it before reality hit him again and he pushed Affogato away.

“i- uh-… i have to go-“ he muttered as he quickly went for the door before his hand was taken by Affogato. he turned him around and started backing him to the wall.

“ah-uh- Affogato- i have things to attend to-“ he quickly got around him and again went for the door, unlocking it instantly and running out the door with his face, now completely red, burried in his hands. Financier Cookie, who had been on her way to the office, spotted him and tried to start a conversation.

“ah, Consul, i was- Consul?” she watched in confusion as he ignored her and quickly rushed to his chambers. Affogato Cookie smiled sweetly from the office, and decided since the consul would be gone to do some of his work. after all, he’d just look over it and approve/disapprove certain things he had done in it.

OMG, I thought I was gonna be bullied so hard for shipping Affocream. But yeah! They are my current obsession rn.

Ok, for one, they are in a long distance relationship (Gato in Cacao Kingdom, Clotted in Creme Republic.)

They are dating, but both are considering proposal.

They only get to see each other in person for like two months a year. The rest of the year they facetime.

Affogato is shockingly great at comforting people, so whenever Custard Senior puts Clotted Cream down, Affogato comforts him.

They both love baking (or cooking) for each other the few times that they get to see each other.

They both speak a bit of French, so they call eachother french pet names. But they also use traditional pet names.

They love cuddling and are generally very affectionate to eachother.

They sometimes go out on double dates with Caramel and Financier.

Affogato always has to force Clotted to sleep.

They like to play with each other's hair whenever they meet in person.

And there may be more, but oh well..

My shit take on Affocream

(Short Precedent:) In regards to shipping again, I will always stand by that you shouldn’t take shipping too seriously, and my rant isn’t supposed to make you think that shipping Affocream (Affogato x Clotted Cream) is, for some reason, bad just because I said something about it, and my shit take and anger are all very irrational. With all that said, let’s begin my rant.

I... don’t like Affocream. The only other reason it was shipped, besides both of them being hot and attractive, was because of the assumption that Clotted Cream was a traitorous snake just like him, and “Hey! Wouldn’t it be cool if we shipped these two, just because they’re both totally backstabbers?” Which turned out WRONG for Clotted Cream’s case, btw. I don’t see what their dynamics would even be in, outside of AUs and, “We’re enemies, but we fall in love,” if we base it entirely on canon. Seriously, other than them being attractive, I just don’t see the appeal, and frankly, I just don’t like it. If you ship it, fine, I won’t judge you, it’s what you ship and I’m not trying to get in the way of that, but please don’t get in my way if this opinion isn’t something you agree with, let’s have a civil (well, as civil as we can get on the interwebs) chat about this.

(Edit: Also, it should be called Clottogato! It just rolls off the tongue better >:<)

explaining my Affocream stuff(?)

keep in mind i’m not done with Oddessy so once i am it may likely change but keep the same main points

firstly, on the topic of how Affogato got there in the first place, he appeared during the council in the vanilla kingdom. as pissed off as everyone was, Pure Vanilla preached some shit about second chances and blah blah blah redemption arcs, and they agreed to let him say *some* stuff. he was very limited in words, which was fine with him since his mission was to gain information about what their plans were and ways on how to stop their advances. he was also useful to the council by giving inside knowledge about where the CoD were that may or may not have been fake :^ on the other hand, there were definitely some interesting faces in his opinion, like the consul. in other words he thought clotted cream was cute and putting on a persona that he wanted to break. after odessy (again, i have 0 idea how odessy ends so don’t @ me) he kinda said something like this (assuming it ended in the republic)

affogato: *sigh* well, i guess i’ll go be a nomad…

clotted cream: wdym

affo: *sighhhhhh* i don’t have anywhere to go now that this is over and i’m not with the CoS

clotted: wow that sucks

affo: *SIGHHHHH* yeah, but i’ll be alright… i guess…

clotted: good to hear, gbye

affo: hey you have an extra room right?

clotted: oh yeahhhh… i did ig

clotted’s inner dialogue: nah i’m bouta ruin my chances at being liked by dark cacao even more… that’s crazy.

affo: great!! i’ll go get my stuff

clotted: huh????

affo: you’re letting me stay with you right? you won’t turn me away to nowhere… will you?

clotted: no you’re right. sure. fine. no worries

affo: yippee ><

affogato still lives with clotted a year after oddessy’s end but don’t get me wrong, he works. he’ll fill out papers for clotted cream and then clotted looks over them and will either be like “head pats for you” or “wtf were you even thinking here” and that’s usually when he’s making a small attempt to give himself some sort of power since he has none lmao. also there’s this thing about Affogato going out of his way in disrespecting the consul’s privacy. so naturally he’ll appear in clotted’s bed at night, or randomly appear holding his hand or something. clotted doesn’t mind it anymore, he’s pretty used to it. he’ll never get over Affogato appearing like a phantom in his bed at night. affogato is always there for the consul and vice versa, they’ve established that they love each other but for appearances haven’t made anything official. clotted tends to still get really flustered when Affogato will kiss him or something and Affogato literally lives for it. while Clotted is much more private with his feelings and in all honesty, could be much more affectionate, Affogato is very open about his feelings for the consul. it’s just a fact everyone knows atp and it bothers nobody. why? cuz they don’t even know Clotted feels the same. i’ll leave this rant on that note for now, this is, again, subject to change cuz for the 99th time, odessy isn’t done for me. that’s all bye bye :3

genuine question, WHY do people ship affocream (affogato x clotted cream). it simply makes absolutely no sense to me. i can understand rarepairs based exclusively on dynamics or color schemes but like.... WHY those two????????? it confuses me so much?????????
