🔮 “Nocturna” di Maya Montayne È stata una lettura particolare, una lettura bella ma con qualche difetto. Ha un grosso potenziale inespresso perché poteva dare molto di più. Potevano essere approfonditi diversi aspetti che invece sono solo accennati come la magia stessa che popola questa storia. ⠀ È un tipo di magia che mi ha affascinata fin da subito. 🔥 Una magia elementale presente in tutti i personaggi e una magia più forte e unica per alcuni di essi: un propio che si manifesta solo in determinate persone e che le caratterizza ancora di più. ⠀ I personaggi principali, Finn e Alfie, mi sono piaciuti anche se il mio preferito è Luka che come spalla è stato perfetto e che avrei conosciuto volentieri molto meglio. ⠀ Purtroppo ho faticato un po' a prendere il ritmo della lettura. L'autrice ha voluto lasciare dei termini in spagnolo anche nelle traduzioni e, visto che non sono affine alla lingua, è stato difficile entrare subito in sintonia con la storia. 🧡 Ho però apprezzato che volesse creare una storia più affine a se stessa e che uscisse dai canoni abituali. ⠀ #qotd ❓ Lo avete letto? And remember, no matter how far into the darkness we may fall, it is never too late to see the light." ✨🧡✨ Nocturna by Maya Motayne was a complete and total cover buy for me, but it’s something that I completely fell in love with. The magic system in this world is phenomenal! I loved how the rules, limitations and uses of magic, both as a whole and individually, were explained. I got the information I needed without it being too dumpy, and I liked how to it shown to me as well as told. I really loved the character arcs, and the characters in general. Finn was fun to read and follow along, and I liked watching her grow stronger and wiser throughout the novel. I was really pleaser with her and Alfie’s relationship, and where that took them. I enjoyed seeing Alfie change too, from the person we met at the start of the book to the person he became. The world building in this book is incredible, and the writing flows so beautifully. I loved my time in this world, and I can’t wait to jump into it again with the second book! And can we take a moment to talk about how gorgeous the covers of this book are! I’ve seen the blue one, and they’re both so pretty! If you’re a fan of young adult fantasy, I can highly recommend this.
