The school semester had just started back up after the long christmas holidays. The halls were filled with tired adolescents grogging and groaning about their overdue math projects. The crisp winter air bit at your cheeks leaving them a bright rosy red as you stood outside the corridors and waited for your, as expected, late best friend Kevin. You watched as he got out of the car and turned to face you with a semi-apologetic smile.
“Save the apologies Keb let’s just get inside it’s -15° out right now!” He nodded quickly and followed you inside the corridors. As soon as you both entered the building, an audible groan excited your lips at the sight infront of you, earning a playful smack from Kevin. “I swear if i see them one more time i’m going to get sick.” “Oh just face it Y/n you like him, and you’re jealous.” Kevin smirked and patted your shoulder. “Unfortunately sweetie, you don’t hide it well.” He gave you another sympathetic look.
“Oh look who’s coming right now! I think I hear my teacher calling me.. good luck loser.” Kevin shot you a wink before running down the busy hall. God only hoped Kevin would actually arrive to his class let alone on time. You laughed silently to yourself at your best friends goofy running style before you realized the situation ahead of you; Sunwoo and his new girlfriend e/n— walking towards you.
“Hey y/n! How was your holidays? You didn’t come over on Christmas, my family was a little worried.” As soon as Sunwoo said that you could tell his girlfriend had gotten upset. Clearly wanting to escape the situation and truth be told, you felt her pain. “Sunwoo we aren’t 10 years old anymore.. traditions are bound to be broken.” With that you left a dumbfounded sunwoo behind as you headed towards your classroom. The urge to blink back tears was real, but you couldn’t let him know now as your ship of chances had sailed long ago.
Sunwoo and you were really good friends. Since birth, both of your parents were divorced and worked together meaning you two were always left to play and keep each other company. You were just two neighbour kids having fun, until you realized you had feelings for him.. and truth be told you knew it was bound to happen at some point, there was not one thing to not love about that boy. But from then on you distanced yourself, you no longer wanted to hang out at the park with him and his friends, you declined all of his phone calls and ignored his texts. Highschool came and you had every class together but not one word was spoken, you still liked him.. but couldn’t bear to have your heart broken.
Your judgement was right, and soon rumours had surfaced that he was dating the one girl who you’d hope to see him never with, for his own sake. The girl that every guy got a chance with merely because she found it entertaining. Anything to protect her ego you supposed. However, you didn’t want to believe it was real until one day as you were finally about to confess to him he had walked out of the school doors holding hands with E/n. Your heart undoubtedly shattered but who were you to complain? You were the one who distanced away from him.
“Y/n? Y/n !” You snapped out of your daydream as your teacher snapped his fingers infront of your face. “Finally, your back to your senses, now, whats the answer to question 1a.” Your mind drew a blank and your cheeks flushed pink in embarrassment. “I..i’m not sure sir.” He flicked his tounge in disapproval, “and this is a perfect example of somebody who doesn’t want to get far in life.” Your not going to lie, that hurt a bit.. but was he wrong?
*dinngggggg* “thank the lord i’ve been saved by the bell.”
Exciting the classroom you happily made your way to the cafeteria eager to indulge in some warm food. Immediately after entering the caf you locked eyes with Kevin who gestured for you to come sit at his table. “Hey babes how has your day been?” he asked as he muched on his cheetos. “To be honest, it could be better but you know how it is.”
“I do.. all too well.” Kevin sent you another wink before both of you adverted your gaze to the shouting across the cafeteria much with the rest of the attending students.
“YOUR NOT LISTENING TO ME!”
“YEAH WELL YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME!”
“HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT FOOD YOU WANT? IM NOT JUST A BUILT IN MIND READER!”
“YOURE MY BOYFRIEND YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS STUFF!”
“WELL CLEARLY WE MIS CLICKED OR SOMETHING!”
“IM DONE. WE’RE DONE!”
You and Kevin watched with your mouths wide open at the sight of Sunwoo and his Girlfriend.. well ex girlfriend fighting publicly. “Did I just see and hear that correctly?” Kevin asked stunned. “Y/n?... Y/n!” You blinked a few times trying to register what just went on but after 2 minutes you were on solid ground. “Woah that was intense.” “You can say that again... I wonder whats going to happen now. This is unbelievable, look at all the boys and girls following e/n but are we realizing there is not ONE girl trying to go help Sunwoo?! disgusting.” Kevin picked up his lunch tray and walked away from the table leaving you rather confused. However, he was right, nobody was there to help Sunwoo.. and that only made you realize how selfish you had been. Simply only caring about your feelings instead of being a responsible and proper friend.
You watched as Sunwoo grabbed his bag and walked outside into the cold wintry temperature. Trying to be as nonchalant as possible you followed him out to were he was sitting, on a bench by the campus gates. “May I sit here?” you gave him an apologetic look but before you could sit down he stood up and gave you a great big hug. “You’re speaking to me again.” Tears welled up in your eyes as you felt him relax in your embrace, you had hurt the poor boy. “Sunwoo.. i’m sorry.” You pushed away— breaking the short lived hug. “It was my fault.” He looked at you with a confused expression, his eyes showing hurt mixed with a little bit of hope. Sunwoo was bracing for the worst, yet he wanted you to continue.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you Sunwoo. I was protecting myself.” you kicked a little clump of snow and watched it roll away from it’s comfortable spot. “Protect yourself from what Y/n?” you sighed at Sunwoo’s words. “From my feelings. From the fact that I was so in love with you it hurt to even look at you because I knew you only seen me as your best friend.” Actual tears began to fall from your eyes, rolling down your cheeks but Sunwoo was right there, catching them all before they could touch the ground. “So all this time, I thought you despised me.. but you actually, liked me?” his mouth formed a small smile and you let out a scoff. “Try more of the term, love.”
“Well.. Y/n what you didn’t know was that this entire time I was madly in love with you too. Next time, do me a favour hm?”
you looked up at him slightly confused.
“Be honest with me”

if you feel like answering, why is natsuo your favorite character? like what do you like most about him? what made you connect to him/what made him stand out to you?
Ohhh boy better buckle up because this is gonna be a long one.
First off, thank you so much for the ask, and sorry it took so long to strap down and answer you! Naturally, I have a lot to say and I'm always looking for opportunities to rant about my favorite character 👀
The chapter that first opened my eyes to Natsuo as a character was chapter 252. I was caught up with the manga at this point so I read it right when it was released and it really touched me. From then on I became invested in his character, particularly his relationship with Touya which I really dug into and channeled into my Brother animatic. He's been my favorit from then on, and there are many reasons for this.
I think the main reason his character resonated with me so deeply is because I've never encountered a character who hits nearly as close to home as he does. I didn't have the best relationship with my father growing up, and despite it being a different and much less serious situation than what Natsuo lived through, I can relate to and understand a lot of his resentment on a personal level. Many of his one-liners are things that I have said or thought before almost verbatim, so needless to say Horikoshi definitely knows what he's doing.
It is very important to me how Horikoshi goes out of his way to give this seemingly minor character so much development. Every scene he is in, every word he says has so much thought behind it and contributes to his character tremendously, and some of the best examples of this are in the latest chapters with him.
Tumblr media
He has significantly more developent than most of the minor characters in 1a, despite them obviously appearing much more often. This is because whenever Natsuo does appear, he's very outspoken and the scene normally ends up revolving around him in some way.
I also want to talk about his relationship with his family as a whole- one thing about his character that I don't think anyone else has really mentioned before is how humble he is. He grew up in a household where he was neglected and essentially seen as worthless (regardless of his quirk or lack thereof but I have a whole nother essay for that alone), and even Touya wasn't exactly the kindest to him from what we've seen. Despite this, Natsuo was able to forge his own path and become the person he wanted to be. He got through highschool with good enough grades to get into a pre-med program which in Japan is a very hard thing to do considering national standards, not to mention how different the medical field must be with the variety of mutation quirks that exist.
As for humility, I think the fact that he can be proud of Shouto for forging his own path as a hero despite his personal distaste for hero society, and is immediately thankful when he’s saved from a villain by a group of high schoolers. He doesn’t act like he’s better than anyone else because he’s older, or because he won’t forgive Endeavor (quite the contrary, he seems to view his distaste of Endeavor as a shortcoming on his part).
Another thing that I really just adore about his character is how kind and gentle he is, regardless of (or perhaps in spite of) his upbringing. Considering that he's a male character in a shounen manga, this is particularly interesting to me. Out of his brothers he is physically the most similar to Endeavor, but personality-wise the most different. A huge component of this is that he was raised mostly by Fuyumi and continues to be incredibly close to her. Natsuo is a social person and an emotionally driven character, and he is certainly not afraid to speak his mind- if nothing else, he is honest. Compare this to Shouto, who is definitely an introvert and prefers to keep to himself, kind of blunt about things and definitely lacking in emotional awareness. It’s hard to separate Shouto’s personality from lack of socialization as a kid, but even Endeavor shares many of the same traits. Touya is also an emotionally-driven character but in a completely different way, he’s self-serving and angry and driven for revenge. Perhaps if he had a normal childhood Natsuo and Touya would have been much more similar, but Touya’s early signs of mental illness as a kid festered with lack of treatment. Back to Natsuo, he also is very caring and thoughtful, and we really see this most in the 5th light novel, (official translations aren’t out but here’s a link).
We consistently see just how much he cares about the rest of his family (other than Endeavor, obviously). I think this is seen really clearly through his attempts to connect with Shouto. He knows nothing about his little brother but still tries to connect with him in any way he can think of- playing soccer, eating soba, talking with him about his friends and just generally showing interest in his life.
Another interesting point here is that he almost seems to look up to his siblings as being better than him, especially Shouto. This is not in a jealous way, but more self-deprecating as he sees Fuyumi and Shouto letting Endeavor back into their lives and feels guilty and unkind because he is unable to do the same. He is proud of Shouto, but they are different in so many ways that it’s hard to find a middle ground. Shouto is mature in that he is already halfway to a lifelong career and has experienced many dangerous situations, while Natsuo is a college student and years away from helping people on the same level that Shouto does in high school. Inversely, Natsuo is more socially competent and outgoing, while Shouto is sheltered, and has a unique innocence to him. Natsuo is more familiar with their family situation and thus has a more complex understanding and much stronger stance than Shouto, especially because he knew Touya.
He also goes out of his way to try and help Fuyumi and re-iterate how much she means to him (even if it fails, it’s the thought that counts, amirite?). He consistently comes to dinner when Fuyumi invites him, knowingly exposing himself to his pervasive trauma upon seeing Endeavor to allow her to entertain the fantasy of having a happy, normal family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really want to re-iterate here how much of his own pain he puts to the side in just agreeing to show up for dinner. Both times he is visibly uncomfortable and almost upset by Endeavor’s presence as if it makes him anxious (which is understandable), and he is mentally incapable of staying in said situation without freaking out, which he does whenever he can’t escape; the first time when Endeavor puts a hand on his shoulder to stop him from leaving, and the second time mere minutes after an incredibly traumatic near-death experience. (Side note: Endeavor should not be getting up into his personal space like he does, knowing full well how uncomfortable Natsuo is with his mere presence).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He puts his own trauma to the side to help his siblings ,and if that isn’t selfless I don’t know what is.
Tumblr media
With all of this deliberate development and the advent of the Dabi reveal, I am confident that Natsuo is going to play a larger role in the future and will contribute in some major way to bringing Dabi down. If there's one thing I trust Horikishi for it's that he doesn't develop his characters for nothing. There's always a payoff at the end that puts everything in place, even though he plays a slow burn. I'm always scared that whenever Natsuo shows up he's gonna do/say something that's inconsistent with his character so far and disprove one of my theories/assumptions/headcanons about him and every time I am proven wrong.
In conclusion: I love my salty son.
If you want to read even more of my thoughts on him, here's a link to a rediculously long meta about his trauma and emotions:
Thank you again for the ask. I very much enjoyed writing it and I hope you enjoyed reading it as well!!!

Drinking You/II
Tumblr media
Notes: Soooo....Here’s part 2..Thanx for the notes guyssss <3 ♥
Summary: You encounter a stranger on your way back from the grocery shop and everything about him pulls you in.
Pairings: Eren Yeager x Reader; Various pairings eventually
Warnings: NSFW(not today tho); mentions of smoking.
>
Part II
’’Kid….Am I not interesting enough for your small, forgetful brain?’’ asked Levi from his desk, his grey eyes expressing the dissatisfaction he had about your mistake.
THE FILE. The Eren Yeager file. The file he stole from your bag after he finished...well...screwing you. To say that you were upset about the fact that you were used as a mere excuse for theft was an understatement. You were pissed as hell.
But your boss came first, as his death glare made you snap out of your one sided grudge with the memory of the charming terrorist you encountered. It was definitely wrong and probably a bad move but you couldn’t tell Levi what happened. So….you lied.
’’For the 27th time, I am so sorry that I ‘accidentally’ threw an important file into the shredder..I was cleaning my desk and I wasn’t paying attention.’’ you sounded honest but a little mechanical as you said the same excuse for awhile now.
Levi raised one of his brows at your nonchalance but sighed and said:
’’At least you didn't lose it. That would have been a big ass problem.’’
You clenched your fist behind your back. This was not ending well for you.
’’Please..I’m not that idiotic.’’ somehow your tone didn’t betray you but a small voice in your mind retorted immediately, ‘You are more than idiotic and you’re definetley screwed.’. You gulped.
A soft knock interrupted the beginning of your inner mental breakdown. Armin entered Levi’s office carrying a stack of files in one arm and holding what looked like a coffee cup in the other. He placed the files on Levi’s desk and handed him the cup. You suddenly blurted out your first thought.
’’But you don’t drink coffee.’’
Levi’s death glare almost made you take a step back. Well, maybe Eren Yeager took more than the file...he stole your brain too as you suddenly find yourself incapable of thinking. You want to slap a hand over your mouth. What the hell was wrong with you lately?
Armin watched you curiously for a moment. You feared his intuition, he was too sharp sometimes and that made you anxious in the current situation, but you tried to play it off anyway.
’’Ahem, yes, I heard it from Mrs. Zoe? Ha, am I wrong ?’’ you laughed awkwardly at the end of your sentence.
Armin shook his head, his short blonde hair hitting his face in the process. ’’That is right. As expected of you, Y/N, your mind always picks up the smallest details. The Captain drinks tea. I got a few extra cups to go, just 10 minutes ago. You can help yourself from the kitchen...Though I’m pretty sure you love coffee more.’’ he said while giving you a kind, small smile. You smiled back trying not to break eye contact.
‘You might be my best friend’s soulmate.’
You cringed internally. Not because you didn't find Armin attractive, because you thought the boy could even model if he wanted to, but because of what happened later after Eren said that phrase. You shook your head trying to banish the image of a long haired, 6ft man on top of your naked body. ‘Not the time, not the time.’
You wondered what Armin would think about the fact that you got to meet his best friend before he did. As you found out today, turns out they have not met in more than a year. You felt guilty for keeping your mouth shut. But it seemed like the best course of action. You needed to act solo for a while.
In a safe way, of course.
Levi motioned for Armin to leave but as he got closer to the door you saw his eyes discreetly peering at your neck and then at your face. Your hair was covering most of your hickeys but Armin might have noticed something anyway.
Once he left the room, Levi got up from his seat and approached the window.
He was wearing a plain white dress shirt and black pants with a pair of dark brown leather shoes. He was not going on the field today, you could tell that much because of his outfit. He was in his thirties now but his looks still caused many casualties between the female officers, especially the MPs who were more than enthusiastic when Levi passed them by. He was one of the best at his job and his handsome face was obviously a bonus.
You always said it was the mix between his good looks and his cold attitude that was pulling people in, but he was far from an unfeeling person. He usually cared too much about everything. Seeming distant was just his way of preserving himself. People were impressed just by hearing stories about him. But most of them had no idea how much he suffered. You knew. Not that he liked that. He never liked the fact that fate seemed to always make you meet again and again.
The first time, as his student when he was teaching in highschool. The second time as his blind date, Hange’s courtesy. The third time as the new member of his team, fate’s courtesy this time.
Each time you look at him you remember how selfish you’ve always been. You hate the thought but you know and can’t deny the fact that one way or another you always became a burden for the man sitting right across you. Right from the start.
----------------------------------------------------------------------- ’’Sir, is she worth it?’’ an eighteen years old you asked a younger Levi who was just exiting through the school’s gates. As he whipped his head back to match the voice to the person, his stern look softened just a bit. It was late and you were supposed to be home long ago. Instead you were only leaving now, a bag full of books in your right hand. You always stayed in the library until the school closed. You didn’t want to go home anyway.
’’That’s not an ideal question to ask about your sister, is it, brat?’’
You started laughing. He knew better than to refer to his fiance as your sister. You hated the bitch and there was no bond whatsoever between the two of you. She was just the awful daughter of the amazing woman who took you in after your parents kicked you out.
’’Can you give me a ride home, sir? I am afraid my frail arms are unable to carry these books until I reach the nearest bus stop.’’ you said in a dramatic tone while Levi just massaged his temples out of frustration but made a gesture towards his car anyway.
You smiled at him as you entered the car. He was driving in silence, without any radio music in the background, without any small talk. You wanted to tell him so many things, you wanted to express your indignation regarding the fact that your ‘sister’ was cheating on him and using him as an alibi so her mother won’t ever suspect she’s dating one of the biggest drug dealers in the region, you wanted to complain about the fact that he wasted his good heart on someone who wronged him before, you wanted to ask him why was he clinging to unhappiness so desperately. You could never understand. Even as you watched as the road light travelled on his face while he drove, you could only think about how well he managed to hide his pain. People didn’t notice that he was alone most of the time. Or that he rarely smiled.
It made you sad, it made you think of a part of yourself. Except you constantly fought for your right at happiness even if sadness never left your side. No matter how annoying that made you, you still kept going. But he didn’t even seem like he tried. He looked like the loneliest person on earth and he hid it so well that if you said what you thought out loud, people would just think you're looking into it too much.
You reached your house and his car stopped. Somehow, only now you noticed the pleasant smell inside the car. It smelled like fruity tea-bags which you assumed came from a spare ’stash’ he had somewhere around. You smiled. He always drinks tea during the breaks. It makes him look so refined too. Without any intention you giggled. He noticed and raised a brow, asking:
’’What makes you so happy that you’re hesitating to get out of my car? Hm? Move it, you didn’t even had dinner yet.’’
You turned your whole body towards him while you spoke in an excited manner.
’’I was thinking about you, sir. The way you enjoy your tea during breaks and how that’s the most happy I saw you since I came to this school.’’
With a confused look on his face he tilted his head but let you speak nonetheless. Your voice became softer while you looked down, your hair falling over your face.
’’You see, I believe that happiness can only come from being honest with yourself. Lie to the world, lie to people but if you lie to yourself you’ll just tint your soul to the point even the tea you love so much won’t taste the same anymore.’’
Levi’s eyes widened slightly. He knew you were outspoken and that sometimes you caused trouble because you meddled in things that were none of your business and you spoke way too much but he couldn’t deny the way you arranged your words. He knew you had a kind heart and that you were trying to reach his. He almost wanted to smile. ‘Stupid kid.’
He didn't say anything as you exited the car but watched you until you entered the house. You were right, he knew he was cheated on, he knew he was used but there was another side to his truth too. He used the idea of a fiance to run away from both his past and future.
But looking at you who had nothing but wanted everything, he thought that maybe, just maybe...he became a coward. And he always hated cowards.
As you watched him drive away, that was the last time you met him as a teacher, as he would lose his job in two weeks due to murder acusations regarding his fiance. Your ‘sister’.
You’d hear from your classmates how a tall, blonde detective cuffed him in front of the whole school while he put up a fight.
Then he would be gone and you wouldn't hear anything about him for a few years. -------------------------------------------------
’’So, care to explain why you are so distracted today?’’ he was gazing outside the window but you couldn’t help notice the way his voice was softer now that you were alone again.
’’I was unable to rest well last night, however you don’t need to worry, sir. I’ll snap back as soon as I drink some coffee, just as Armin suggested.’’
Another lie. You actually slept like a baby because you were so exhausted. The bed felt so warm and the man next to you smelt so good that you felt like you were floating. Only your dumb ass could sleep so relaxed next to a criminal.
You pondered before asking the next question.
’’What type of person used to be.....Eren Yeager?’’
His name sounded so different from your mouth or maybe that was your own perception. You recognised a little stinginess in your tone.
You pulled out your phone and started a voice recording. You were allowed to do so when it came to declarations. You were a profiler afterall. You needed to go over conversations and details, multiple times to complete your work.
Levi turned away from the window and took a few steps closer to you. His expression looked indifferent but you knew better. There was regret mixed in his feelings.
’’That brat wasn’t the most talented nor the smartest agent around, I actually often thought he was more of an idiot than most people I knew..’’
You stopped yourself from laughing. ’Unprofessional...Don’t do it. Let him continue.’
’’He was too much of a hot head for his own good but he listened to my orders and tried to look at things from a more mature perspective, perhaps we might have asked too much from him. Our department was in trouble and we lost more people than you could count, in a very short amount of time. We had an operation that lasted for more than 2 years. Eren was the key to that operation. Everything circled around him. We wanted to find answers so badly, we sacrificed so much that we never saw the fact that we had spies among us and the whole operation became more than a national issue. You said you read the file before you shredded it, right? I also mentioned it in the meeting before. You know what’s the issue I’m talking about, right?’’
Your breathing becomes more alert and a bitter feeling takes over your heart. Memories from your distant childhood try to resurface but you push them away. The past always catches up.
Your voice becomes more serious when you answer.
’’After 14 years of peace we might have another war with the neighbour nation, Marley, is that right?’’
Silence fills the room as Levi only nods. He seems lost in his own mind for a while and you can only guess what he might be thinking about. He was a soldier back then and this whole deal pissed him off.
’’Eren betrayed us. No warning, just a vague explanation. He almost wiped out their whole capital, one of the biggest cities in Marley, he killed VERY important people and now we are threatened left and right. This dumbass is very close to starting the biggest international conflict this country ever faced. Can’t believe that brat had the nerve to come back and now he’s under our jurisdiction again. We have to catch him and fast. Everyone you’ll ask will say he changed, but I always knew he had it in him. He might just destroy the world...no one can cage him. He’s that type of monster.’’
Your body suddenly felt numb, a weird sense of fear trying to take over you. His face, his expressions, everything flashed in your mind repeatedly, pieces of the conversation you had, the way he touched you, the note he left. For the first time in a very long time, you felt lost in translation.
Things were not adding up. Someone was wrong here. Something was definitely missing. You paused the recording and exhaled while rubbing your temples.
’’This should not be handled by a departament full of people that know him. Someone must really want to bury the Survey unit in shit.’’
A humourless laugh escaped your mouth.
’’Sorry Levi, you always hated when I cursed. Forgot about that.’’  you said, a sad look plastered on your face remembering many of the arguments you two had mostly because of you.
He frowned and took another step closer to you, unconsciously wanting to pat your head but you were already heading for the door. He snapped out of it and looked at his hand. He got carried away for a second, wanting to comfort you.
’’I guess you’ll always have a soft spot for me, sir...but we shouldn’t be very comfortable around each other. You were always the better man and I was always the wicked little girl.’’
’’L/N..’’
You exited his office. ‘Unfortunately, I’m still the same.’ you thought while walking to your desk and getting ready to work on the details of some cases that became piled up in the last week.
As you sat down and flipped through various lists of criminals, you tried to silence your mind. Sometimes your mental state was just like a furious sea storm. You have the tendency to drown in your own dark and poisonous thoughts until your identity becomes foggy. But work was a great distraction and thankfully...you sure had plenty of it. So you rolled up your sleeves, took a sip of the coffee Armin put on your desk (somehow the fact that he did sweet gestures like this made you very warm inside) and started working on your reports ignoring intentionally a certain criminal whose face you really didn’t wanna see again today, not on a screen, not printed...you'll deal with the Yeager case at home. You had to catch up on your work anyway.
Right? You weren’t running away or anything...right?
People around you became colorful shadows that moved around exiting or entering the headquarters while you were scribbling furiously details about different cases. When your phone rang, an hour before the end of your shift, you almost jumped out of your chair. You looked around and realised everyone was out and you were the only one left. Probably investigating, or some kind of emergency.
On the screen of your phone Jean’s face was popping up with the incoming call. When he first gave you his contact number he took a selfie of himself because he thought he looked ‘cool’ in that moment and you ‘had to have his handsomeness on your phone’, his words not yours. You rolled your eyes at the memory.
’’ ‘Sup Kirschtein? I’m busy and I swear to God if you call me ‘cause you're bored while being on some stakeout I will…’’ He burst into laughter and answered: ’’Calm down Y/N, I only did that like five or six times and you might’ve even liked it, don’t lie to me now.’’ he said in a charming yet joking voice and you couldn’t help but smile. He was one of the people who could easily put you in a good mood. ’’Wanna get out to get some ‘’fresh air’’ on the roof? It turns out we sorted out what we had to do sooner than expected….well sooner than I thought. That damn Floch will kill me one day...His attitude might just get us both killed.’’
Of course he wanted to smoke and complain about his partner, Floch. Jean didn’t seem like the type to think a lot, especially when you first got to meet him. He’s loud, a little bit of a bragger and has lots of opinions on anything but he was an exceptionally capable man in times of crises. You witnessed that a few times but you also heard it from Sasha: ’’Marco, Jean’s ex-partner, always said that Jean was the one most capable of leading us out of trouble and Marco’s intuition about people was as good as my instincts about danger. He knew what he was saying.’’
When you reached the roof, Jean was already smoking while looking at the red sky. The sun was almost gone. He looked lost in thought, barely noticing you until he heard the sound of your lighter. You took a long puff and exhaled. For some reason you felt exhausted and even if the silence somehow pleased you, it felt unlike Jean. He always liked to talk a lot around you, your smoking breaks being full of gossiping. It was almost always the two of you, given the fact that you and him were the only smokers in the department. You had a hunch that Armin smoked too but only when he was truly bothered by something, Connie tried it once and said he liked it but you knew he lied, Sasha said she didn't like the taste(did not surprise you at all there) and Mikasa thought it was stupid and unhealthy and you honestly agreed.
’’Why do you smoke, Jean?’’ you asked out of the blue. You realised you never asked him that. For some reason the image of Eren staring at you while holding his pack of cigarettes in one hand flashed in your mind. You took another inhale of smoke trying to push the image away. Jean didn’t respond immediately but when his eyes fixed on the cigarette he was holding.
’’Marco used to smoke here. It was so unlike him. He really didn’t seem like the type and he tried to hide it all the time...he was even carrying perfume around.’’ he said and let out a short bitter laugh. For some reason he placed a hand on his face trying to hide his expression. ’’I started smoking after he died. I guess..well fuck...I miss being with my friend. When I’m holding this cigarette it feels as if he’s still here. As if I could …’’ he hesitated before continuing,’’....ask him for advice about what I should do..’’
You got closer to him and bumped your shoulder into his in a friendly manner. He dropped his hand from his face and looked at you. You could see he was emotionally drained but you flashed him a cheerful smile even though you felt like shit as well. You looked up at the now, darker sky and said in a loud voice:
’’By smoking this cigarette I dare ask the amazing Marco Bott from heaven to lend me some of his wisdom. Please let me give our friend here a good answer to the question troubling his, not so young anymore, soul.’’
’’I’m only a year older than you, Y/N.’’ he said, his voice a little amused now. You rolled your eyes.
’’You’re an old soul, Jean. My shift will be over soon so spit it out...What’s bothering yo-’’
’’Did you study Eren’s file?’’ he asked out of the blue. You sighed and took another cigarette out and placed it in your mouth.
’’Not yet. Tonight I plan on looking over it. Why? Wanna tell me something about him that might help me in writing his profile?’’
Jean shook his head and took a puff out of his cigarette.
’’Once you look over it, after you read our statements  about him that are also included there, before writing any report, I want you to tell me something that might help me.’’ you raised a brow in confusion but he wasn’t looking at you anymore. He was staring straight ahead at the city covered in the red light of the sunset.
’’Who do you think will hesitate when shooting? Us or Eren ?’’
You ran a hand through your hair and looked at the city too. As the night approached, it suddenly looked more dangerous.
‘Who indeed…?’ . . . . . Before leaving you stopped by Hange’s office to drop some of the work you completed for the day. Moblit, her assistant, the guy who you knew for a fact was the only one besides Levi to be able to control your workaholic Director, was trying to force feed her some pizza while she insisted that she had to look over some DNA samples found at a random crime scene.
’’M’am, I know you worked in the lab for most of your life but now you should be dealing only with the work Erwin had to do when he had your position. He didn't try to be in ten places at once! Come on, eat this slice. You didn't eat all day! Do I really have to message Levi right now? You know he always gets pissed when you act like this.’’
When Hange noticed you at the door she took the opportunity and sprinted to the lab leaving a stressed Moblit behind who was still holding a pizza slice in his right hand staring at you in disbelief . Poor man. You placed your work on Hange’s desk and eyed Moblit and then the pizza. You smiled like a cunning, old, hungry dog.
’’I’ll call The Captain for you if you give me two slices of that pizza. Deal?’’ Moblit sighed. ’’Deal.’’
So there you were now, walking out of the building towards your car, while happily munching on your pizza slice. You planned on eating the other one at home, later, if you’d get hungry while working late. You entered your car and threw your stuff on the passenger seat. You started the engine and drove home while listening to the radio. Weirdly enough there was a radio podcast about astrology. You found it weird because this type of podcast would usually be broadcast in the morning. When you heard your zodiac sign being mentioned you couldn’t help but pay a little attention. You were curious afterall and maybe some luck was ahead of you. ’You never know.’
’’As I said John, the (your zodiac) sign should really be careful about what they say and do...The ruler of divine punishment, Jupiter seems to have entered a rare conjunction. The past is catching up to them and it looks like they can’t run away from certain confrontations anymore. It could be with someone else or maybe with themselves. Also, it would be especially good to avoid Fire Signs around this time for (your zodiac), as all three, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are chaos bringers in this Jupiter conjunction. So you heard me? Don’t try to dig into anything too much these days...You might just bury yourself.’’
You started laughing.
’’Pfft, yeah right... What a load of crap.’’ you said displeased as you turn off the radio.
You finally reach home. After you park and lock your car you enter your apartment building and as always you take the elevator, too lazy to drag your tired body on the stairs. You only think about soaking yourself in a warm bath as soon as possible. You might even use the new bubble bath stuff you got last week. ’Yeah, I think I will do just that. My body aches everywhere anyway, I need some relaxation.’
So immediately after you unlocked your door, you dropped your stuff, and went straight to the bathroom to turn on the warm water. Hell, you might’ve even skipped on the way as you were so happy to finally just have a moment of forgetting everything about anything and just indulge in the warmth and the nice smell of a warm bath.
So happy that you didn’t even bother to turn on the light in the living room.
Because if you did, you would have noticed Eren Yeager, sitting on your couch with a gun by his side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preview:
You looked at Eren. You looked at the gun. You looked at the gun. You looked at Eren.
There were many things you wanted to say in that moment but strangely enough a rather unusual question was bothering you more than anything.
’’You never mentioned your birthday,’’ you said not believing you were actually asking this out of all things, ’’not that you forgot to mention things like your name or the fact that you’re right now, probably the most wanted criminal in the...world ...ha ha ....but who keeps track, am I right?’’ you laughed nervously.
’’My birthday..?’’ he asked while watching you suspiciously but calm at the same time. ’’Why?’’
You kept your distance. Your position was stiff and you couldn’t help but be surprised that he was right in front of you. In your house ...again...in less than 24h. Why in Isayama’s name was he here?
’’Nothing important really...Just something silly.’’ again, you let out a nervous laugh. You were in trouble and you didn’t have your fucking gun on you and your phone was in the bag.
Eren let out a sigh and shook his head.
’’Hm, shouldn’t you, miss profiler, know that about me already?’’ He placed his hands behind his head and leaned deeper on one of the back pillows. His position was relaxed but something told you to not risk going for the gun. It might even be a trap anyway.
’’March, 30.’’ he surprisingly answered after a short silence.
‘March...Weren’t Pisces in March? Nah, this man ain’t no Pisces...Too unhinged...What’s next...Oh.’ you closed your eyes in frustration, ’... Aries.’
’’Great, freaking Fire Sign. Of course you are.'’
You weren’t sure if you should listen to that type of radio podcast more often or
never again.

➜ 1.8k || OT7 || Fluff
➜ When all the worlds collide together.
► This is an ambitious crossover of all the main male leads of my slice of life series. Albeit short, I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Thank you for joining me for such a long journey. It took over four years, but I’m glad that I was able to complete it and that you, the reader, was along the wild ride with me.
Tumblr media
Ringg Ringgg.
The elevator sings as he gets off the right floor. The doors part and he steps out, adjusting the sleeves of his fitted black suit that hug his broad shoulders one last time and brushing a strand of his sleek hair that’s parted to one side away from his forehead.
There’s already a bustle, music and conversations leaking out from the conference hall.
But when Seokjin enters, he isn’t sure where to go.
People are already mingling, holding glasses of champagne, laughing and making small talk. No one greets him and he dawdles around for a second before he decides to approach the harpist playing at the side, right by the entrance.
“Excuse me, do you know who the event coordinator is?”
The long-legged boy lifts his head, fingers still plucking at his harp strings, but he exhibits utter confusion. His black rimmed and gawky glasses are sliding off his nose, coffee brown hair barely combed. But in his polite smile, dimples appear on each side of his cheek. “I actually don’t know, sorry. I’ve been trying to figure out who the event coordinator is too. I’m just a hired college student.”
“Oh. Well, that’s quite alright. Thank you.”
“No problem.” The boy continues plucking, playing a lovely piece to fill the background noise.
But Seokjin is back to square one.
Or at least for only a few minutes.
As soon as he arrives at the refreshments table, he catches someone’s eye and they beeline straight towards him. “Excuse me, are you Mr. Kim?”
Seokjin turns around and finds a smiling man with plump lips, rounded cheeks, and crinkled eyes. But despite the boyish exterior, Seokjin recognizes him from the shows he’s been to. He’s Tony award-winning Broadway actor, Park Jimin.
It was admirable that someone like him, with fame and power, would selflessly host such a charity purely for the betterment of humanity. Everyone these days seems to have ulterior motives, but the man looks to be the exception.
“Yes, I am.”
“Nice to meet you. I’m Park Jimin.” The two men shake hands. “I couldn’t thank you enough for being one of the sponsors of our events.”
“It’s my pleasure. Valleyview Kim Hospital will always help support child welfare. If anything, I should be thanking you for reaching out to me. I wouldn’t want to miss out on such a great opportunity.”
The pair of them exchange a bit more conversation before Jimin is leading Seokjin to his designated table.
“This is Jung Hoseok,” Jimin introduces and Seokjin is taken aback.
The man is tall with dark hair, dressed in a fitted suit with his sun-kissed skin glowing. He has high cheekbones with a long nose, mere presence commanding attention. But when he glances up and stands, the natural furrow of his brows seems to soften intentionally like he’s still practicing how to not look intimidating.
“Nice to meet you. I’m a partner of Jung and Park, a divorce law firm here in downtown.”
“I’m Mr. Kim Seokjin, I’m the chief executive officer of Valleyview Kim Hospital.”
“Oh, I’ve been a few times.” The lawyer seems to ease and he smiles.
“Have you?”
“Yes. Fortunately, nothing bad happened but you have an amazing team of doctors on hand.”
“Thank you. I’m glad we were able to accommodate and treat you fairly.”
Jimin smiles and moves onto the next set of people that stood from their seats to greet Seokjin. There’s a plump man who has a wide smile and a younger boy next to him. The latter has eyes the colour of a deep chestnut shade, a softened yet strong gaze. His features are gentle, cheeks rounded, lashes long, hair that looks fluffy to the touch and naturally pouty lips.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you! I am Mr. Min, president of Brilliant Top School. One of the best secondary schools in the country, and this is my son, Min Yoongi. He is a high academic, actually, the Student Council President that runs the internal affairs in our institution—”
“Dad,” the high-schooler calls in a husky voice, eyes drooping as if he’s exhausted and doesn’t want to be here.
Seokjin can empathize with him. Social events aren’t exactly exciting half the time.
“It’s nice to meet you. I look forward to hearing more about your school soon.”
They all take their seats, getting comfortable and Jimin smiles. “Dinner will begin shortly. Feel free to mingle and order any drinks or refreshments. There’s also auctions in the lobby if you haven't already taken a look. Thank you again for coming.”
The charity fundraiser looks like it’s doing well for itself. There appears to be plenty of sponsors from all across the board, different people from all kinds of different industries. Seokjin’s glad that so many can come together for such a great cause.
“Do you know who the empty seats are for?” he asks when curiosity gets the better of him.
The lawyer looks up from his menu. “Apparently, it’ll be where the First Lady is sitting.”
“The First Lady?” His brows raise in surprise.
Hoseok nods. “She was the biggest sponsor of tonight’s event or so I’m told.”
And soon enough, much to the bafflement of Seokjin, the First Lady indeed emerges. There are pictures taken with the hired photographers, people that approach and introduce themselves, shaking her hand. Swarmed by the masses, it seems like she can’t even get to the table without being stopped every few seconds. But eventually she arrives and everyone stands in courtesy.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lady Kim.”
“Likewise.” She smiles and introduces the boy Jin didn’t notice was behind her. “This is my stepson, Taehyung.”
“Hi,” he grunts half-heartedly. His blonde hair is a mess, clothing rather baggy, and the scruff all over his chin never once gives hints that he’s the wealthy son of a world leader. He doesn’t have brand name clothing, a polished appearance, or luxurious watches to his name. But despite appearing rugged, he looks not that much older than a mere college student.
“Hello.” Hands are shaken, greetings exchanged, but Taehyung doesn’t look like he wants to be here. Both he and Yoongi, with no words said to one another, seem to telepathically exchange mutual respect in that way.
A smile finds itself on Seokjin’s lips — he can still remember when he was that young and unimpressed with the world.
“Thank you for your contribution to this country.” Mr. Min is shaking the First Lady’s hand excitedly. “The funding you have put into education has helped us run so many programs for our students, like our scholarship program. The previous administration was looking to cut education, and it was absolutely terrible! It’s nice to know that there’s someone sitting in office who genuinely cares about the well-being of our children and the future generation.”
The woman is laughing politely, and this time, the principal’s son looks like he has no plans on stopping his ramble and the president’s son doesn’t look like he particularly cares either.
The former grabs his non-alcoholic champagne and downs the whole flute.
Soon, the conversations slow down and the music becomes quieter. The lights dim, and a single spotlight is put on the podium in front of the room. Jimin enters the stage, tapping the microphone once and then he flashes a brilliant smile.
“Good evening, everyone and welcome to the Break the Silence charity fundraiser. Tonight is about helping children find their voices, supporting child welfare in broken homes, and promoting the education of children in need. So, thank you for coming here tonight and aiding this great cause. Without the support and sponsors of tonight, I would’ve never been able to host such an event.”
The Broadway actor continues with his speech, speaking about each of the sponsors for the non-profit fundraiser and the bidding that’s happening in the lobby, and where the proceeds will go. Afterwards, it dials down to a more casual discussion of when meals will be served and when the bidding results will be announced.
“Thank you everyone who came here today to support the cause.” There’s loud applause that erupts through the room and the actor smiles, walking off the stage.
The harp player in the corner continues playing and plucking away at his strings, and promptly enough, the meals are served. Seokjin finds easy conversation with Hoseok. It never goes anything beyond polite work talk but he’s rather easy to speak to and Jin muses that he’s quite professional.
The First Lady is swamped the entire night, so there’s little he can say to her. Her stepson, on the other hand, doesn’t seem like he wants to talk and neither does the highschooler who’s found often texting on his phone with a smile that sometimes sneaks on his lips. His father isn’t bothered enough to ask him who it is on the other side — he’s too preoccupied speaking about the scholarship student program at his institution to other people mingling around.
But eventually, dinner is finished and dessert is served.
Though not before the chef comes out to personally introduce the dish.
“Good evening, I hope you enjoyed your dinner tonight.” The man who approaches has doe eyes and dark hair flopping to the side. His black dress shirt is tucked into his black trousers hugging his muscular frame. Apparently his name is Jeon Jungkook, a World Renowned Chocolatier, or at least what Jimin had commemorated at the beginning and what Mr. Min had whispered about prior to the dish being served. “This is a chocolate ball created by using Amedei Porcelana, a dark chocolate made by the Amedei chocolatier of Tuscany, Italy. The chocolate on the side that you pour onto the ball is a sweeter milk chocolate, and there’s crème brûlée ice-cream inside with truffle shavings.”
“Thank you.” The First Lady picks up her fork.
Mr. Min is in awe. “This is absolutely wonderful.”
And for the first time tonight, Yoongi and Taehyung look like they’re actually alive and not half dying.
“This looks delicious,” Seokjin affirms and Jungkook smiles.
“Please, enjoy.” The man continues on his way, a waiter following behind him and rolling the silver cart to help distribute the desserts.
It’s odd. Seokjin feels a sense of familiarity with these people. And in spite of being surrounded by complete strangers, he enjoys his night wholeheartedly.
The event continues, food finished and the bidding results announced. After a little more mingling, people begin to bid their farewells and Seokjin parts away from Hoseok, shaking the man’s hand once more with a promise that if the lawyer ever needs something from the hospital, then he’s just one call away. It’s an acquaintance-relationship built on mutual respect.
“Thank you for coming, Mr. Kim.”
“It was a pleasure.” Jin shakes Jimin’s hand one last time. “Feel free to contact me if you ever plan on organizing an event like this again. I would love to contribute to great causes.”
“I will.” They exchange smiles.
It’s a peculiar night, but not a bitter one.
It’s sweet.

Some Quarantine Lovin’ Epilogue: Always Be Together
Marvel Highschool! AU
Pairing: Bucky x Reader
Warnings: Obscene amounts of fluff, kissing, swearing, kinda a lot of angst
Description: Bucky Barnes is absolutely, no doubt about it, in love with Y/N L/N. He’s loved her since the day he laid eyes on her in the third grade. He loved her when he had his own girlfriend, and when he was barely friends with her for a whole summer. And of course, in his freshman year, they are now stuck together. In a house. During a worldwide quarantine. This should be fun.
Words: 2,943 words
A/N: Well, we’re at the end! Thank you so much to everyone who’s been following this series, as it’s my first fic, and is so special to me. Natasha’s story is also very personal, as I’m still trying to figure out how to tell my parents that I’m bisexual, and they’re kind of closed off to the LGBT+ community and can only hope for what I wrote for Natasha. As always, thank you to my badass beta @transparentfestivaltiger and I really hope you’ve enjoyed this journey with me, and that you all continue to stay safe and healthy. Love you <3

When the shelter in place order was lifted from New York, life went by so fast. Jobs slowly started to open up again, people picking up the pieces of their lives that had broken during quarantine. The cure still hadn’t been found yet, but hope still stayed strong within everyone’s heart. It had taken much longer for scientists and doctors to find the curative to the virus, but the day it was announced was one to remember. Happy cheers could be heard everywhere around Brooklyn, tears rushing down everyone’s faces, for those who had previously lost their loved ones to the virus and to new beginnings. The community all came together and they all knew they could be stronger coming out of the worldwide pandemic.
The rest of high school went by fairly slowly, considering they had spent nearly a whole semester online. Everyone had trouble recovering from the effects of quarantine, but it got easier as they went along. Bucky and Becca both became part of the Rogers family easily, the endless stream of love and happiness radiating them all the time. Mrs. Rogers had been a motherly figure to him all his life, aspects of her reminding him of his own ma, and he was brothers with Steve, which was pretty great in his opinion.
By the end of high school, Natasha had come out to her parents, which was something both of them tried their hardest to understand. The redhead was shocked when they told her that they should have known and that they were sorry if they had ever made her feel unloved or left out, a reaction she could have only dreamed of. Both of her parents were still trying to understand her and her needs to feel safe and comfortable, and though it wasn’t perfect, Natasha couldn’t be more grateful that her parents were trying.
Throughout the rest of high school, the “Golden Boy Trio”, as the girls liked to call them, continued playing baseball together, all three of them getting scholarships in their junior year. Eventually, Sam was the only one who accepted his scholarship, as the two other boys had already planned what they wanted for their futures.
The sweet couple, however, continued to grow together, both as people and a pair, falling deeper and deeper in love with each other every day. Yeah, that was something that was never-ending, no matter the circumstance. Y/N and Bucky went around the school known as the high school sweethearts, the two students who were irrevocably and completely infatuated with each other, and that was obviously fine with them.
By the time the end of their senior year rolled around, Steve was already dead set on joining the U.S. Army, something both of his parents were proud of, though terrified as hell for as well. Wanda and Sam were both headed for sunny California, her wanting to major in psychology and him on a full-ride baseball scholarship to UCLA. Natasha had been offered a chance to study under a fashion designer in France, so she ended up leaving just mere weeks after graduation, bringing lots of tears and promises to talk whenever she could. Bucky and Y/N though, they were staying in their home state of New York, both of them on scholarships to Columbia and NYU. After all, Bucky needed to look after Becca, who was five years old by then but already had an extreme attitude and a tendency to be very, very, clingy. Joseph and Sarah Rogers loved her even more for that.
Bucky and Y/N’s dorms weren’t far from each other, and they were happy that their relationship wasn’t long-distance. Study dates at coffee shops became frequent, and their love for each other only growing. Around their junior year of college, the couple was already having talks about getting married soon after their graduation. Both of them were planning on continuing for their masters at their respective schools, but after nearly six years of their relationship, they both knew that they wanted to be together for the rest of their lives.
Kids had thoroughly been discussed though. After taking care of Becca since he was thirteen, he wasn’t rushing to have any of his own any time soon, and he made it clear that he wanted to wait until after college. After all, they hadn’t even graduated yet and still had five more years of their education left before Y/N went off to her internship.
Oh, how quickly the tables had turned.
Y/N had managed to get pregnant at the very beginning of their final year as undergrads. She had freaked out, not knowing if Bucky would leave her, not knowing how the fuck it had happened, and what she would do with the baby. She had finally decided to keep it a secret for a few weeks, at least until she found out how to tell her boyfriend, but after she started to refuse drinks and get sick more often, Bucky grew suspicious. Now, James Barnes was a smart man. He had remembered when he was a teen and his mama was sick when she was pregnant with Becca, so naturally, he questioned his girlfriend.
“Are you pregnant, Y/N?” Bucky asked her quietly. He didn’t seem mad, but his tone made it certain that he was dead serious. Taking a shaky breath and trying to hold back her tears for her own sake, she nodded her head and grasped his hands.
“Yes, James.” She sighed. “I’m pregnant. And,” Y/N took a deep breath, “I’m going to keep it.” Silence was all that surrounded the room. Normally, silence with the two of them was soft, it was comfortable, like a blanket of comfort and relaxation. But this was high-strung tension, uncertainty mixed with unsaid awkwardness. Bucky’s heavy sigh was all that was heard, and Y/N let go of his hands as he got up and left the room.
Y/N was in shock. Hand covering her mouth, her strangled sobs echoed back to her throughout the dorm. He’d surely tell her parents. Or would he want to even do anything with her? She was still in school, and she had to go to med school the next year. Her parents would never support this. God, what mess had she gotten herself into?
No more than fifteen minutes later, Bucky broke in through the front door, panting and nearly wheezing with the loss of air he had. However, he saw Y/N’s red, puffy eyes with her clearly wet cheeks and saw where he went wrong.
“I thought -hic- you left, Bucky.” He instantly wrapped his arms around his shaking girlfriend, his eyes filling with tears after realizing that he had hurt her. The one girl that meant the most to him in life, that he loved with his entire heart, and he’d been the one to make her cry.
“Doll, no, no, I promise you, I’m not going to leave you.” Bucky lowered the two of them to a laying down position on the couch, legs intertwined and chests pulled together. “I will never, ever leave you, and we’ll find our way through this together.”
Y/N rubbed at her eyes, relief filling her body at his words until she felt a sharp object poking into her hip. “Buck, what’s in your pocket?”
She noticed the sharp intake of breath he took. She noticed that he was fidgeting with the object in his pocket. She noticed that he was breathing rapidly. She noticed him getting on the floor, kneeling with an open box in his hand.
“Y/N, you’re my best friend. You have been for fourteen goddamn years, and you have seen me everywhere. My highs, my lows, when I was drunk off my ass puking in my bathroom and giving a speech at our high school graduation. You of all people know that I am a very organized person, but trust me, this is the one time you will see me unprepared. But, our lives have always been a little unconventional, haven’t they? We had our first kiss in the middle of a global pandemic because I was too scared to tell you that I liked you anytime in the six years before that. Our first time together was when we were eighteen at the Time Hotel in Times Square and we went in our pajamas to McDonald’s right after. And now we’re going to have a baby. I already know you’re going to be an amazing mother, and there’s no better time to do this than now.” Scooting closer to Y/N, he stared into her eyes, still red-rimmed from the crying, but a huge dopey smile plastered on her face. “I asked your parents for your hand last week and they said yes, so we have their blessing. Y/N L/N, the love of my life, will you please make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?”
Y/N nodded enthusiastically and threw herself into his arms. “Of course I’ll marry you, Bucky.” Bucky was crying at this point but he didn’t even try to wipe them away as he slipped the silver band onto her finger. She grasped his face in her cold hands and kissed him feverishly. “I love you, James.”
Smiling like a fool in love, which he was, he placed one last lingering kiss to her lips. “I love you too, Y/N.” Moving his hand down to her stomach, which hadn’t started showing, he rubbed it soothingly. “And I already love this little one too. How long have you known, baby?”
Y/N covered his hand with her own and let out a watery smile. “Three weeks. I didn’t know how to tell you, and I’m sorry I didn’t earlier.”
“No, no, no, baby, you have nothing to feel sorry for. I can understand why you felt scared, and I’m going to be honest, I am too. But we’ve gotten through so much together, what’s a little human compared to us?” Bucky grinned wider at hearing her sniffly giggle and he sat her on his lap on the wood floor of her NYU dorm.
“So who’s going to be the one to tell my mom and dad that you knocked me up and proposed to me?” His eyes widened and she laughed harder at the expression on his face. Sure, he didn’t want to face the wrath of her parents, but if it made Y/N happy, he’d do it with no hesitation at all.
The pregnancy was difficult during school. Especially because they went to different schools, Y/N struggled with being alone so much that she eventually moved back into her house with her parents. Bucky would always show up once a day when he knew that her courses were done, whether he could only stay a few minutes or the night, and talk to the baby. Though he'd previously said that he didn’t want kids until he was done with college, he’d been nothing but absolutely amazing and protective since finding out Y/N was pregnant. A bit too protective though.
Three weeks before she was due, which was also right before their graduation, the couple started to get into more and more heated arguments. Bucky insisted that she needed to stay home and do absolutely nothing, but Y/N still had more finals she needed to take at school. Her stress from both hormones and classes got to her, and finally, she talked to her teachers, asking to just make the finals all in one day so she could go home earlier and not wait it out. It took some convincing, but they finally agreed and passed all her finals with flying colors, which made her cry with happiness.
Two days before graduation, little Winnie Sarah Barnes was born. After six hours of pain and screaming, Winnie came into the world happy as a clam. Y/N’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers, Becca, and Natasha all came to support the happy couple. Wanda, Sam, and Steve couldn’t join this momentous occasion with them, but all three sent letters and called many, many times to see the precious baby.
The next four years of college went by fast with Winnie in the family. Y/N and Bucky finally got married, something everybody was able to attend. Steve had come back from his first tour by then to be the best man and Natasha as the maid of honor. It was very small, simple but elegant, and the new Barnes couple could not be any happier with how one of the happiest nights of their life went. Y/N graduated NYU at twenty-six with a Doctor of Medicine and applied for an internship at NYU Langone Medical Center while Bucky got offered a job as the creative writing teacher at the high school they went to. “Full circle, huh, baby?” He’d jokingly said to her after he got the email. And a full circle it was indeed.
2033
“Buck, we need to bring him. He really, really doesn’t wanna stay with MJ tonight.” Y/N ran around their shared Brooklyn apartment frantically, her crying son in her arms. Bucky and Y/N’s family was in absolute chaos. Bucky had come back from the high school late, Y/N nearly forgot to pick up Winnie from after school care, and their four-month-old son, Steve, did not want to be taken care of by the babysitter, MJ. Of course, their family was normally in disarray, with Y/N’s shifts at the hospital and Bucky’s demanding students, but tonight was their ten-year high school reunion, and between the four in their family, it was a disaster.
“Mommy, I can hold Stevie, you can go get dressed,” Winnie said in a quiet, sweet voice. Placing a delicate kiss on her head, Y/N thanked her and scurried off to get ready. Bucky was pretty prepared, looking handsome as always in his button-down blue shirt and black slacks, short brown hair combed neatly. “You look nice, daddy.” His daughter said while sitting on the couch next to him. He was about to thank her as she started speaking again, “For once.”
Crinkling his nose playfully and gasping in mock offense, he took Steve from her arms and tickled her sides, breaking her into peals of giggles. “Do I not look nice all the time, sweetheart? I can’t believe my own baby daughter doesn’t think I’m handsome.” Y/N heard the laughter from the hallway as she headed towards the living room.
“Well, my beautiful, beautiful husband, I think you look very handsome, like you always do.” Y/N quipped from the entrance. Bucky and Winnie turned their heads towards her, and both of their eyes widened. Letting out a low whistle, her husband’s eyes roamed her body in the appealing red dress and black heels.
“Damn, hot mama,” Bucky readjusted Steve in his left arm and slid the other one to cheekily squeeze Y/N’s ass, “you look gorgeous.” Even after fourteen years of their relationship, Y/N couldn’t take one compliment, and heated up under her husband’s lustful gaze.
“Mommy! Mommy! I wanna look pretty too, can I wear your heels later?” Laughing, Y/N picked Winnie up and spun her around quickly before pulling her into a crushing hug. “Ugh, mama, you’re going to break my spine.”
Both Bucky and Y/N shared confused glances at their daughter’s sudden sass. “Where did you learn to get an attitude like that, missy?” Bucky asked.
“Auntie Becca, she always sasses the boys at her school, she says. She always tells me to ‘screw them over and have some fun with my ladies’.” Y/N nearly wheezed with how hard she was laughing, knowing of fifteen-year-old Becca’s sass. Bucky on the other hand was absolutely appalled that his younger sister was teaching his children these things.
“Of course your Auntie Becca sasses the boys, she can’t keep her damn mouth shut to save her own life.” Bucky grumbled, making Y/N peck his cheek and grab his hand.
“I called my mom, she says she and my dad can take the kids tonight, thank God.” Swatting his butt, she scooped Winnie up in her arms and started to make her way to the door. “You two are going to stay with Grandma and Grandpa tonight, does that sound good?” The little girl in her arms nodded excitedly, ready to be spoiled by her grandparents.
After Bucky and Y/N dropped their kids off at her parent’s house, they rode to their old high school in comfortable silence, just the radio playing Bucky’s old Spotify playlists.
“We’re going back to the place where we started.” Bucky said all of a sudden. Y/N shifted  in her seat to look at his with a raised eyebrow.
“We met in third grade, baby, do you not remember that?”
Sighing, he took her hand in his and rubbed small circles on the back of her palm. “Well, I mean where we started. Like in a relationship, when we were sent home for quarantine, when I kissed you in your ma’s kitchen, and I took you on a date to Prospect Park.” Looking into each other’s eyes, the couple smiled. “We’ve come a long way since then, haven’t we?”
Leaning over to kiss him, short and sweet, she replied, “Yeah, yeah we have.”
Riding the rest of the way in their blissful bubble of happiness, the couple reminisced about their freshman year of high school, all where their quarantine love had started.

.
I can’t remember, and probably don’t want to, the first time I walked past my new school doors and took a look around. I remember, however, the feeling of terror I had, as the last time I changed school things didn’t go so well. Actually, I am the exact opposite of a girl who would never speak or be silent. I am very loud, I am loud even when I’m trying to whisper. I laugh really loudly, something that might cause others to look at me with the corner of their eye, as if I have committed the worst crime humanity every witnessed. And for that, I draw attention. Not always for a good cause. For example, I remember when I was 15, when a group of girls I considered my “friends” ditched me because I “ruined their image” and after that, another girl I really appreciated who always shushed me when we were taking walks because she wanted the boys to notice her.
So when my parents announced me that we were moving city, I was mortified. Being the class clown in a school that they already know you is way better than having to make a brand new start in another, where no one knows you. Personally, I would prefer to find a job in an actual circus than having to go through the hell of trying to socialize in a new high school.
Long story short, I have been in this school for some months now, it is near the end of the first semester. And I can’t believe I am actually saying this, but things are going better than expected. I hang out with some kids, I wouldn’t call them exactly “friends” but they’re okay. They are patient with me, at least. I haven’t heard a single complaint about me being loud or a comment about my laughter, so I guess that’s fine for now. I don’t think I would like to tie things with people right now, given that it’s just a year and I guess I won’t get to see most of them after high school is over. I don’t feel they really cared for that anyway.
I can’t say that the past months have not changed me. It’s probably the music I’m currently listening to, the poetry I’ve grown so much fond of, or both at a time, but I feel like I notice things more now. The small, unimportant things I didn’t pay attention to earlier, now they seem like the ones who shape my every day. I think I am calmer now. Same loud, but calmer. But not having a person to tell my secrets to or trust more than others is really killing me, because at the end of the day all I have left is my parents, but I am 18 years old. What secrets could I have, you’ll ask.
Well, there is a boy.
He is not very tall, with light brown, probably dyed but still so healthy, hair, and almond eyes. And with the beautiful smile I have ever seen in my life. He is in my year but has different classes, but still I get to see him in some classes of choice we have in common, in choir (the boy has the most seductive voice I have heard, I’m telling you), literature and subtitling. I think he is in the music section while I am in Linguistics, but still meet him before classes and in most breaks. His name is Changkyun, I only hear it when teachers call for him. I haven’t had the chance to talk to him more than a simple exchange of greeting down the hallway, he is really shy and I don’t want to bother him with my loudness, I don’t think he’d appreciate his calmness being shattered.
He is not often surrounded by a bunch of people, like others of our classmates. He is not the type to talk much, to express himself with every chance he’s given. Every time I see him, he is silent and throws a glance or two, with a couple of small, cute smiles here and there to the person he’s talking to. He is the exact opposite of me, in all means.
And maybe that’s why I fell for him in the first place.
That one particular day, I was not really in the mood for much. First period sucked, and I was in serious thinking of dropping out for the day. When the bell rang, I gathered my stuff and put my earphones on. I walked down the hallway, not saying a word to anyone and avoiding the glances of my classmates and teachers, and got out of the door, to the backyard of the school. Instead of running off, I threw my bag on the ground and sat on it, thank god there was only a few people around and I could have some time alone for once in this school. I took a deep breath and moved my head to the rhythm of “everything i wanted.” This song I felt a lot those days, and still do.
Caught in the moment, I didn’t notice the figure that moved close to me. So I jumped and let out a small scream when a hand touched my shoulder. I turned around and-
“Sorry, I didn’t men to scare you. I just didn’t think anyone else would be here at this hour,” Changkyun said, giving me his hand to help me get up. I sighed, relieved that it was only him who, to be honest, was the only person who wouldn’t bother me at that time. I got up and thanked him.
“I never thought I’d see you sitting alone, most of the time you have some people around, not many but still,” he continued.
“I don’t feel like talking much today, I thought I could use some time for myself.” When I realized I could have pushed him away with my words, I added: “You’re no bother, of course.” He smiled and sat next to me.
“What are you doing here?” I asked him. He smiled shyly and avoided my glance.
“I wasn’t in the mood for math today, so I think I’ll skip.”
I raised my eyebrow, a small smile on my lips.
“You don’t seem like the kind of guy who skips classes,” I said, and he laughed quietly.
“Oh believe me, sometimes I am very much the type of guy who skips classes.”
There was something in the way he spokexor it was probably my mere excitement that I was finally talking to him more than a simple hello, and I made a funny noise, which caused me to almost laugh at myself. But soon enough I covered my mouth with my hand, afraid I would embarrass myself again, and gave him a shy glance as some guys turned around and looked at me, and I cursed myself for the first time for being so loud. He shook his head and touched me feather-like on my arm, then quickly removed his hand.
“D-Don’t hold it back, I like it when people laugh their hearts out,” he said.
“My laughter is a people’s persecutor at times,” I said bitterly. “People think being loud is a very dangerous and contagious disease.”
“I don’t,” he said immediately, which made me turn and look at him. “I don’t mind people being loud, though I am not at all like it. And- ” he cut himself off as if he was measuring his next words. I looked at him with cocked eyebrows, but he avoided my glance.
“You’re cute when you laugh.”
“You- I- You think I am cute?” I asked him, stressing out the “I.” He nodded, biting his lower lip and not looking at me more than stealing some glances, as he used to do anyway. I smiled.
“I am Changkyun, by the way.” I nodded.
“I know. I am Y/N.”
“I remember, although I haven’t heard you a lot in class,” he pointed out and I nodded.
“I don’t really like being orally examined in class, I prefer written exams.”
“You like singing, though.”
He had noticed.
He didn’t give me time to reply when, after looking around first, he turned to me again and said quietly with a cutely mischievous glance:
“I know a bookstore with slow rock music where they offer coffee to those who sit there to study or read, wanna come with me?”
“You said you’re skipping only math class,” I said, and he laughed quietly before grabbing my hand, getting up and throwing his backpack over his shoulders while waiting for me to do the same, and then guided me out of the school doors, carefully so that no one would notice.
“I changed my mind.”

Shokugeki no Kimiko à la carte Series - Morning Glimpses
Author’s Note
Late entry for Day 1 of @shokugekiocweek (Prompt: Breakfast)
JESUS CHRIST THIS THING IS FINALLY DONE, I AM....SCREAMING?
This was such a chore and took up the entirety of my day and I even had to cut most of my initial plans and just....I am not even sure if I like the end-product //lies down//. Still, I’m just glad that it’s just finished at least <.< But meep, onto day 2 I suppose ovo;;
-
Good Morning Totsuki and welcome back to school after the break!
Being the dedicated journalist that I, Sotsuda-Cohen Cho am, I of course arrived as early as possible in front of Totsuki’s gates to witness the return of everyone and possibly drink in a few updates right on the spot.
I was more than surprised to find out that there are people who actually managed to be here before me.
Believe it or not but today, early in the morning, I met Inoue Eito (our current 10th Seat for the people who live under a rock) accompanied by Matsuoka Takeo (our current 9th Seat for the same ignorant people). Seems like our all-known party-lion Inoue-senpai had much of an headache this morning and needed support to walk. The support was given by a very annoyed Matsuoka-senpai, who was quick to order me away from the scenery.
I wonder what exactly Inoue-senpai thought to be a good idea doing in the very night before school starts.
Hopefully the rest of our beloved Elite Ten does not have to deal with such an insufferable headache this morning! Although, I can fairly imagine most of their mornings.
Hayama Akio will most likely awake to the most bewitching and sheer out-of-this-world fragrance one can only imagine. His father is the master of spices and aroma after all. As we all know, Hayama-senpai inherited his father’s godly sense of smell and will certainly be able to guess, no, know the ingredients to his breakfast this morning instantly.
“You made pancakes with cardamom, dad?” Akio asked when coming down the stairs. He smiled. “And I can also smell blueberries, strawberries, grapes, lemons, Blackcurrent-Ginseng-Vanilla-tea and Spiced-Chocolate-Coffee.”
Almost a little startled by this entrance, Akira Hayama looked up from his work in the frying pan to face his son instead. The initial surprise faded quick however as he rather began to smile. “Indeed.” He gave an appreciating nod. “Well done.”
“Since you know what’s served already”, Hisako Hayama took a halt to her hectic walk around the house, “Tea or Coffee?” A very frequently asked question in the Hayama-Household, one could almost say: the most frequent.
Akio‘s smile only grew a bit more. “Today I’ll settle for tea, mom.” Already in preparation to what would happen next, Akio was quick to raise his arm. “I’ll get it myself!”
Hisako, who had already positioned her feet into the direction of the teapots, flinched subtly. After a small moment, Hisako nodded towards her son with a friendly smile. Said smile quickly turned to a slightly mischievous one as she turned her head towards her husband. “He chose tea.” Akira replied without turning around. “Kaori chose coffee. Today it’s a draw.”
They had made it a competition between each other over who would have more success in making their two children chose their individually preferred type of beverage.
Thinking about the morning of Hayama Hisako’s and Akira’s son, also makes one wonder if their daughter had a good rest as well. Hayama Kaori, the greatest talent among the current highschool first-years. Some would say that she embodies grace and excellence from head to toe.
A true gathering of refinement. The Master of Fragrance, a Healer as renowned and skilled to be recognised by emperors and empresses, a diligent Elite Ten member and the icy valedictorian of her generation.
Akio turned his head into the direction of the table. There sitting was his little sister Kaori with the coffee mug in her hands. Even right after waking up, she still managed to look like a proper and fine, young lady. One you could most definitely invite her over to tea with the most posh and sophisticated women of high society and you would do so without worrying for even a second that Kaori would embarrass herself. To Akio it almost felt like she somehow skipped puberty.
He felt his heart sink a little at that sight. Distant seemed the memories of her happily running around Granny Jun’s garden, eagerly naming every flower she spot.
“Kaori, Good morning! I hope you slept well!” He greeted, trying is best in pushing various worried and concerned thoughts out of his mind for now. She replied with friendly words but in a tone that one would rather use in a business meeting than towards a family member. “Good Morning to you as well, Onii-san.”
Akio felt his smile crumbling a little. “I see you look ready and prepared for going back to school. That’s a joy for sure.” He said, not having the heart bringing up the most recent conflict he had with his sister in front of their parents. They all were so rarely together nowadays and Akio wouldn’t dare to ruin it.
Kaori only gave a quick nod as reply and so, Akio turned his head away again to get himself the tea his mother had prepared.
Meanwhile Akira had finished his cooking and brought a plate stapled with steaming pancakes to the table where Kaori was sitting. Once her father was near enough, she spoke up. “The coffee is exquisite as always, Dad. Thank you.” She took another sip of it and as she lowered her cup again one could see something truly rare: a small smile gracing Kaori’s face.
A soft laughter escaped Akira and all fatherly instincts in him could not resist raising his hand and lightly patting his daughter’s head. “No problem, my Blossom. You know I will support you in any way I can on your way to the top and if it’s just providing you with a good waking up on your first day of school.”
Akio turned his head away from the sight to get his tea.
A large portion of humanity will sort themselves into the “not being a morning person”-cult and buy mugs with such lovely slogans like “if you talk to me before I had my coffee I will kill you”. But then there’s the most beloved president of the Chinese RS, Hojo Suzume, who can make the morning sun worry about being outshined by her wide, jolly grin.
Ah, what some would give for the astonishing energy of Suzu-senpai.
“Good Morning!” Suzume cajoled as she threw the apartment’s door open. Some might wonder how she still had air left to do so after she’d just been out jogging for an hour but people who knew the Hojos a little better would know that Suzume has been blessed with many capacities to her vocals by her father’s genes. There were people who wholeheartedly believed she could wake the dead if she wanted to.
“Fuck. Suzu, you’re fucking drenched in sweat.” Takayuki greeted her, before taking a sip of his jasmine tea from a mug that read: “All the coffee in the world can’t make me a morning person”.
His mother, the head-chef of the estimated Hojo-Ra, Miyoko walked by with a basket of steaming Dim Sum in her left hand. Without warning she suddenly raised her right hand to lightly slap the back of Takayuki’s purple head, making him flinch in surprise. “You know the common custom in this civilization is to give a ‘Good Morning’ back, Takayuki.” "Sorry, Ma.“ Mumbled Takayuki into his cup. The woman then gave a nod towards her daughter and held the basket up. “Morning, Suzume. Dim Sum?”
It merely took the blonde teen a few bouncy steps to reach her dark-haired family members. “I think one before the shower can’t hurt.”
After two bites of the warm delicacy and a satisfied hum, she shifted her attention back to Miyoko. “Mom, do you happen to be in the mood to make a smoothie?”
The answer she received was a long, stern stare till finally a little smirk emerged on Miyoko’s lips. “I don’t think so, but who knows? Maybe the craving for a Matcha-Pear-Smoothie will overcome me while a certain young blonde will take a shower, so she’ll be ready for school.”
As president of the Chinese RS, Hojo Suzume obviously specializes in the cuisine of the broad lands that the Pacific Ocean separates our Japanese Isle from. As daughter of two famed Chinese chefs and legacies of Totsuki's long history, including past presidency over the Chinese RS, one can't be blamed to think that taking the president-spot had been the jolly blonde's destiny ever since she was born. But surprisingly enough Suzu-senpai had to earn this spot in a truly brutal and outstretched battle against the former president's, how to call it, cabinet.
It had truly been a thrilling fight for both the participants and the observers and it's safe to say it's memories that have burned theirselves into many of Totsuki's minds, just like Suzu-senpai had burned away her competition with her admirable knowledge around China's culinary wonderland and the excellent handling of a wok.
Based on my observations thus far her efforts have payed off, as she is hold in high regard by most of the student body and loved deeply by the members of the Chinese RS. Without a doubt, she's one of the most cherished presidents in recent years.
"Should I go with my standard-fan or a more fancy one, since its the first school day after break?" Suzume inquired as she came down the stairs, freshly showered with the fragrance of pineapple-honey melon shampoo wafting around her, dressed in Totsuki's uniform and holding two Chinese fans in her hands. The fan in her right hand was simple and red, the fan in her left hand was white and had black ink-branches besprinkled with red flowers painted ingeniously on it.
Miyoko and Takayuki both turned their heads towards the stairs where Suzume was standing, both having the same frown on their face.
Suzume help up the white one and elaborated. "I think special occasions warrant special fans. But then again-" "I approve. Take the fancy one, Suzu. Yo've got Kuga-Blood in you, Suzume. We're not afraid of attention~"
Suzume turned her head upwards and met the brown, mischievous eyes of her father as he came down the stairs dressed in a ridiculously sumptuous dressing gown and a cocky grin.
"Terunori." Miyoko spoke, lowering the Dim Sum she had nearly been biting into. "I didn't thought you'd grace us with your presence this morning." Pretending to be greatly upset, Terunori placed his hand on his chest in a big gesture and cried out. "Wife, you wound me! But of course I wouldn't miss breakfast with our two most lovely and precious children before they go off to Culinary-Hogwarts, for anything in the world."
Suzume let out a laugh, Miyoko rolled her eyes a little albeit the ends of her mouth lifted subtly, Takayuki raised his eyebrow. "How the hell is Totsuki comparable to Hogwarts, dad?"
"Anyway" Terunori lifted a finger and put his focus back on Suzume. "Take the fancy fan, daughter."
Suzume smiled back. "You know that I don't necessarily need a fan in order to get eyes on me though, right dad?" Before she could continue, Takayuki already commented. "Yeah, last year she entered her first class after break by kicking the door open and shouting 'somebody once told me', I hear."
Another one of Suzume's trademark laughs ensued at the memory. "Yeah and it was epic. But, to get back to the fans, you see: My first class this year is together with…" For the first time of the morning, her smile disappeared as it was replaced with a displeased grimace. "…Four-Eyes."
As all Hojos understood "Four-Eyes" as Suzume's code-word for "Shigeo Eizan" not one sign of confusion could be seen on the family member's faces. Rather, deep understanding found its way on Terunori's, Miyoko remained a stern rock and Takayuki looked like he was about to let out an "ew".
"It's a 40-minute lesson, yet still I'm certain that Eizan will still manage to make one of his 'oh-im-smarter-than-all-of-you'- or 'morals?-kindness?-what-are-those?'-comments and.." She threw her hands into the air, frustrated. "…UGH!"
Terunori gave repeated nods. "Fair." Before he could tell his detailed opinion about the bespectacled family however, Miyoko already sighed. "You're all acting like we're at war with them." Takayuki at that only questioned. "Aren't we?!"
Suzume held up her pretty fan. "Well, it's likely that I'll have to take initiative at some point in the lesson, if his commentary gets too sickening. And I wouldn't want to ruin my good fan for that." She gave a shrug.
Terunori imitated the pose of "The Thinker" as he stated. "That's a tricky one indeed." Miyoko held up a glass filled with a green liquid while she simultaneously leaned forwards a little. "How about you try to not hit anyone with one of your fans today and just sit down and finally have the smoothie you asked for?" She then looked at Terunori. "And how about you stop trying to behave like we're the modern Montagues and make some of your Baozi?"
For a few seconds both Suzume and Terunori only wordlessly stared at Miyoko from the stairs. Then the stars lightened up in Suzume's violet eyes as she exclaimed. "Okay Mama!" She rushed towards the table and took the glass out of her mother's hand. Terunori followed rather quickly. "You're lucky that I love you so much, Miyoko-Sweetheart."
Suzu-senpai might be popular but even she has her critics. Her most vocal and prominent one would be a fellow Elite Ten Member actually. But that certain member, Eizan Shigeo, has much of a certain reputation himself. There could be so many things said about him, that one wouldn't know how to start. Furthermore, it's not always easy to tell which info regarding him is true and which is false.
What can very safely be said however is that he is a man all about the success and results. But maybe that's not all too surprising when we keep in mind that he's been named the heir of a consulting company with a great standing in the culinary industry. Despite not being the first-born son, his intelligence and sharp understanding of business granted him this position.
And wether you like him or not, his tactical, clever thinking is said to make him valuable to the Elite 10 as well. Even if he might not always uses his talents with the best intentions in mind.
"I don't like repeating myself, Umino." Shigeo hissed into his smartphone, making sure to not make too much noise. "For the last time: he has black hair, green eyes and a mole on his cheek. But what's most important is that he still owes me something and although my kind-hearted soul granted him time over the break it seems he forgot about his debt. So in order to remind him, you two morons will get a hold of him when he returns to Totsuki and wait until I arrive for the further procedure." "A-Aye Boss." The voice on the other side of the phone stammered.
Shigeo's yellow eyes rolled upwards, before he said. "Now stop calling me. The instructions are clear and I expect you two, combined, to have enough braincells to follow them." Not giving Umino any chance to say something else he then hung up.
Afterwards he made his way out of his room and down the stairs.
Elite 10 membership runs through Shigeo-senpai's family. Both of his parents used to be in the Elite 10 and after all, our current 3rd seat is an Eizan as well.
Shigeo-senpai and his older brother, Eizan Masashi, can certainly be seen together quite a lot despite the fact that they're not in the same generation.
Both of them are well-aware of their standing within the academy and individual skills. Together they're a force to behold and only the most bravest of souls would go up against them. Still, despite their constant cooperation, they're still brothers in the end. And all siblings bicker here and there.
"Morning." Shigeo greeted as he came down the stairs. He was promptly greeted by Masashi's curt tone. "There you are! Mother made you miso soup!" Said mother was quick to interfere though with the help of her calm but strict voice. "Masashi, you don't need to sound so aggressive."
Nene Eizan then shifted her focus to her middle son and merely said. "Good morning Shigeo, I suppose you want a coffee?"
The more than familiar trademark smirk appeared on Shigeo's face as he replied. "That would be splendid, Mom. Thank you. I had a call to make, that's why I was not down here sooner." A huff escaped Masashi.
"Don't you think you're a bit too much on your phone sometimes?" Nene sighed, as she began to operate the coffee-machine. "Who is there that you need to call this early in the morning?"
"The gorillas, most likely." A third voice found it’s way into the conversation. Turning his head into the direction it had come from Shigeo's gaze landed on the kitchen table and a young, blonde boy sitting at it with a cup of hot chocolate and a bowl of miso-soup.
"Gorillas?" Nene repeated, confused over her youngest son's words. Kei was just about to open his mouth and elaborate further, but Masashi was a little quicker. "Those two indecent friends of Shigeo’s, Mother. Umino and Yamada."
"Oh…" Was all Nene managed to say before Kei voiced his thoughts again. "Shigeo has no fuckin-" "Language!" Reprimanded Masashi before Kei could finish his sentence. Likewise, Nene's face darkened a little. "Kei."
"So…Sorry." Kei stammered, imitated by the strict, warning tone his mother has used for merely saying his name.
Shigeo let out a chuckle. "Don't listen to Kei, mom. He demonizes everything." The overall arrogant tone of Shigeo's voice paired with the self-confident smirk were enough to rile Kei up yet again. "There's no need to demonize you, Shigeo! You and Masashi are demons!"
"How dare you?!" Masashi roared, but before it could escalate, Nene shut her two fiery children efficiently with a single. "Cut it out. Both of you." They followed suit immediately, both not intending to push their luck on this one.
Nene let out another sigh, before handing Shigeo the espresso she had prepared. "Please just put your phone away for breakfast at least, Shigeo. It's not polite." Before Shigeo could reply however, Nene's eyes already trailed to someone behind him and she said. "Then again, can I really blame you going by what example your father is giving?"
Shigeo raised an eyebrow before turning around and witnessing said father coming down the stairs with his eyes attached to his mobile phone, only looking up when Nene raised her voice a little. "Etsuya! Watch where you're going!" The Soba-Master then shook her head. "At times it feels I have four children instead of three."
Etsuya raised a hand to signalize his wife to calm down. "Okay, okay. I'm putting my phone away already. See?" He held the device up in presenting manner, only to put it into the pocket of his suit afterwards. He then casted a suspicious look on his spawn as he said. "Why is your mother in such a bad mood? Did you three have a fight again?"
"Fathe-" Masashi wanted to begin an explanation, but he was cut off by Shigeo. "Please, dad. I never fight. Masashi and Kei however…" He shrugged, not minding the death-glares that both Kei and Masashi threw at him. "What about Suzume-senpai?!" Kei then asked provocatively.
Immediately displeasure spread all over Shigeo's face. "Don't remind me of her. I have my first class today with that annoyance." He groaned. "Hojo is too stupid and irritating for my kindness." "Yeah right." Kei gestured quotation marks into the air. "Your 'kindness'. Good one."
"I've got to say." Etsuya now said. "Her father is the most obnoxious person on the planet, so I can hardly blame Shigeo on that one."
Nene brought herself back into the the conversation. "For being Kuga's daughter, I'd say she actually turned out surprisingly decent." She placed two bowls of miso-soup on the table. "Could I now kindly ask everyone to sit down and have breakfast together? Without any arguing?"
The last, but certainly not least, Elite 10 member from the 114th Generation is possibly the most infamous and yet still the most mysterious one at the same time.
For everyone else, I can make several attempts to envision how their mornings might look like. But for Yukihira Hiraku? Not possible.
Filled from head to toe with talent, Yukihira Hiraku entered the academy as a transfer student last year and took Totsuki by storm. Yet his origins are shrouded in mystery to this day. All we got is his mysterious relationship to the Nakiris, yet it still leaves more questions than answers as well.
Who is he really? The newfound idol of our school? The famed Tongue blessed by Angels?
"I can't believe you overslept again, Hiraku! You two are going to miss the train! Is it that hard to set an alarm. I swear-" Those were some of the things Hiraku caught out of his mother's speed-ranting as she squeezed the bento she had prepared into the mess that was his schoolbag.
Hiraku could only watch her with his usual stoic expression. Kimiko stood next to him, already having been perfectly prepared a hour ago, the school bag in her hands  and ready to walk any second. "You really have no sense of time." She scolded.
"Couldn't we ask Aunt Alice to pick us up still? If we do miss the trai-" Hiraku was just about to bring up but Erina interrupted him. "No. Your aunt is busy running an enormous school and we won't bother her because you still haven't learned how to rise early, Hiraku."
"Come on, Erina." Soma attempted to calm the frustrated blonde. "We've all been late sometime." The answer he received was violet eyes glaring at him and a sharp tongue hissing. "You're not one to talk in this matter, Soma!"
The God Tongue had finally managed to not-only squeeze the bento into Hiraku's messy bag but also close the zipper  of it afterwards, despite the fact that the bag looked like about to explode any second. She let out a sigh, exhausted by the battle that the closing of the bag had been and her own ranting throughout of it.
She then picked the the bag up, to hand it back to it's owner. "Now please hurry up, will you."
Kimiko grinned at that. "Don't worry, mom! We're Yukihiras in the end and we always find a way." She eyed Hiraku. "Even if Hiraku's helium-balloon-brain can cause inconvenience here and there, it's still salvageable and as long as things are salvageable Yukihiras find a way to salvage them. Right, dad?"
Soma laughed in response and winked. "That's the spirit, Kimiko! I believe in you."
Hiraku placed a squid-arm between his teeth and merely said. "I believe we really should be going then, huh?"
"That would be for the better, yes." Erina crossed her arms. But then, that rare but beautiful little smile of her's appeared on her lips at last. "Get to Totsuki safely and remember to have fun, okay?"
Soma appeared behind her and laid his arm around her, giving a thumbs-up. "Meanwhile we'll keep things running over here. And you know you can always check in when you need something!"
Well, no matter wether your morning went down eventful or uneventful, something is certain: Things on Totsuki will never be boring!
In the name of Totsuki Sports, I welcome you back to Totsuki Academy! Let's see what the second half of the school year has in store for us. Of course you can be assured that Totsuki Sports will keep you updated on all things going on in our lovely and certainly most lively school.

The Definition of Love
Tumblr media
Shoutout to @soulofatiny for inspiring this work
Characters: Wooyoung x Reader
Words: 5835
Summary: You only knew the textbook definition of love, but really, was that the same as the real thing?
~
Love was a thing you only knew the definition of. Categorized by the dictionary as a noun and occasionally a verb. In one sense, it was an intense feeling of deep affection. In another, it was a great interest and pleasure in something. In all these definitions though; they merely just gave love a general description, pushing the words off into another adjacent category like interest or affection. Never once did the definitions give you any insight into what love really was.
What it felt like.
It happened on your third month of eleventh grade. Students were rowdy. Teachers were starting to fully feel the nuisances that came with description of their jobs. The administration was struggling to adjust to the new characters littering the school grounds. And then there was you, avoiding all of the above as best you could. You swerved around gaggles of friends at lunch, doing your best not to get too involved with the little greetings here and there; truly you didn’t want to be bothered on your free period. There was only one place you wanted to be, the library, a place where you could truly do whatever you wanted with little restriction.
The librarian, an old woman by the name of Mrs. Yang, never seemed to pay you any mind as you sat in the back corner reading a book or dabbling on your laptop. You had gained her respect by being the only student who visited the place on the day free books were being handed out. Unlike the other students who came for the extra credit promised by their teachers, you had came for the sole purpose of getting free books. The words free and books delighted you separately and together? Well it was your absolute dream.
“Good afternoon Mrs. Yang,” You greeted as you stepped into the always cold library.
“Ah good afternoon Miss Y/n.” She smiled and turned back to the book that was splayed across her desk, “How are you today?”
“I’m good Mrs. Yang, and you?” Truly you didn’t mind talking to this woman. She was always kind and never dragged on like most of the other older people you had talked to before.
She smiled, not picking her head up from her book, “I am just splendid, dear.”
You nodded in response and began to walked to your corner, which had beanbags and books piled around it, “That’s good to here, Mrs.”
“I take it you’ll be where you always are?”
“I have nowhere else to go, Mrs. Yang.” You joked though there was a lingering pang in your heart as you flopped down onto the antique bean bag. Since the beginning of your high school experience, you had been mainly alone. Sure you knew everyone, had occasional chatter with those around you, but ultimately, it was you and your books. Everyone else was too caught up in the idea of highschool; the parties, the people, the sweetly sick love- and you just couldn’t be apart of it. It’s not as if those things didn’t interest you, or that you didn’t want to try them out at least once, it was more that those types of things never seemed to come your way. Acquaintances never invited you out, class parties never seemed to really include anyone outside of that circle, and you didn’t talk to enough people often to feel any sort of strong attachment to them.
The thoughts just made you sink a little further into the dust ridden seat. You had at least another hour until you had your next class, maybe you could catch up on homework or read a book or something. A small huff of internal annoyance left your lips as you reached into your backpack, pulling out your laptop and headphones- deciding that watching that movie for Lit would be the best option.
Who knew The Great Gatsby would be so dreadfully emotional. Having only watched barley forty minutes of the movie, you knew the rest of the film was going to do you no good. At least the entire thing was interesting, as you would later have to begin a report of the differences and similarities of the movie and book. A boring lesson that you had done a hundred times prior. You took in a deep breath and went to press play again, the eyes of DiCaprio beginning to haunt you on the screen, when a voice interrupted your actions.
“Um, excuse me?” The voice was timid and you furrowed your brows before you looked up. In front of you was a boy who made you wish you had taken a deeper breath as all the air left your lungs. You had never seen him before, you were sure of it as no one else in your grade had such angelic features and ashy hair.
You forced yourself to remember how to breathe, “I-um yeah.. Yes?”
He chuckled a little at your ragged response, the noise akin to music, “The librarian told me to come talk to you, said you had out the only copy of Billy Elliot left.”
Of course a book would be the only reason a good looking stranger would talk to you, “Oh um, yeah, sorry. Do you need it right now?”
He shrugged a little, eyes wandering over your lazy form squished into the bean bag, “Just soon. I need it by break so that I can do the assignment.”
“It’s no problem, you can have it.” You said, reaching forward into your backpack. Billy Elliot had been an interesting book, and while you hadn’t entirely finished it, you didn’t have the heart to deny him it, “I’m almost done anyways and the ending was already spoiled-”
“Keep it.” He suddenly said and you couldn’t help but frown.
“I’m sorry? I-I thought you wanted to read it-” He waved his hand and you stopped your words.
“I want to make a deal with you instead?” His voice sounded unsure at the proposal, like he was still sifting through its agreements.
“A… a deal?”
He nodded his head, as if he agreed with your words. “Yeah a deal, you keep the book but I get to hang out here with you while I read it.”
The proposition made your face grow red, and you fumbled to find the right words for a second. “What.. W-Why in the world would you want to hang out here? And you don’t even know my name.”
“Yeah I do, the librarian told me it’s Y/n.” The cocky smirk made you roll your eyes.
“Okay fine, I don’t know your name.”
“It’s Wooyoung, you could have just asked,” A small smile spread across his lips at how flustered you were, “So deal or no deal?”
“It’s a deal…”The words felt funny coming off of your lips, “i guess.”
“Sweet!” He cheered and flopped down in the bean bag adjacent to yours, his shoulder nudging against your own as he made himself comfortable. His proximity made a set of fresh nerves cloud your system. You hadn’t really been this close to anyone, much less a cute stranger, in a long time.
“Am i that exciting?” You turned your head slightly, just so you could see his head laying back lazily against the torn blue leather. The sight sent a weird, racing feeling into your stomach.
“You seem interesting Y/n, I mean your hanging out in a deserted library watching- is that Leonardo DiCaprio?” He eyes trailed from yours to Leo’s, the actor seeming to captivate the boy who couldn’t seem to keep his mind on track.
“You were saying, Wooyoung?” You smiled a little at his behavior. He was rather interesting.
He shook his head and forced himself to turn away from the screen, joyful eyes looking up to meet yours. “Oh yeah! You’re watching DiCaprio, slumped in a bean bag with literally no one around you. That makes you interesting to me.”
“Thanks.. I guess?” You laughed a little, having never been complimented as “interesting” by anyone before. It was all rather surreal and you couldn’t decide if you were dreaming; knowing how often you found yourself trapped between the world of books and ideas.
“It’s a compliment, I don’t find a lot of people interesting Y/n.” He smiled up at you and it seemed as though time stopped for a few seconds. An electric feeling coursed through you at the happiness he held in his toothy smile, especially since all of his emotions seemed directed towards you. That odd feeling in your stomach shocked you a little, leaving you tingling from head to toe. You were sure if you looked the hairs on your arms would have been standing straight up. It didn’t make sense, the feeling of excitement he gave you, it didn’t add up or match with any of the things you had read or learned. Maybe it wasn’t a thing you had learned yet, or seen in some book; no boyish smile could make your heart dance so fantastically.
And if it weren’t for the bell that snapped you from your thoughts, you might have realized what you felt was the beginning of the definition for love.
And damn, did that small kindle of love grow as you learned more about Wooyoung than just his name.
“Y/n!” The boy who made your heart race in funny ways yelled, bounding through the sea of students to get to your side. Ever since your initial meeting, you had noticed Wooyoung a lot more around campus and in your classes. Apparently you did have him in your history class as well as math; with him sitting in the back and you always in the front row. You had no idea how you had missed a boy like Wooyoung in your classes, but you just blamed it on the fact that you were never very observant of the people; focusing more on the material than anything.
Now though, you could never miss Wooyoung. In little less than a month of knowing him you could already spot his head in a crowd, his brash laughter amongst ceaseless chatter, and his voice in a loud room. It was odd how attached to him you were already, though the attachment was certainly not one sided.
“Hi Wooyoung,” You gave him a little smile as he slowed to a stop besides you, a giant grin on his face.
“Do you think you passed the math test?” His first words were breathless, but there was still that hint of enjoyment in eyes as nervousness seeped into his tone, “I sure don’t think I did. Might have to just pull some of my charms out on the teacher.”
You scoffed as you turned into the hallways that would lead to the main exit of the school, “You can’t seduce your math teacher to give you a better grade.”
“What? Don’t think a married man like Mr. Creed would like a fine ass person like myself?” He gestured to all of him and you rolled your eyes, fighting the stupid blush that always wanted to appear on your cheeks whenever he brought his features to the spotlight. Him and his dumb grin always made you feel such sparks across your skin.
“Truly his loss,” You sighed, playing into his fantasy, as you came to a stop on the main steps of your school, “but no, I don’t think you’ll be able to seduce a 60 year old man to change your C to a B.”
“Bummer, I really didn’t want to have to study.” He pouted and turned to you, smiling at the amusement that laced your eyes. Wooyoung was always just so fun to watch and listen to. You always found yourself giving him your full attention no matter the topic, for he always was just so animated in whatever he did.
You shook your head at his antics, “So what are you going to do instead of studying?”
“Ice cream.”
“Ice cream?”
“Yeah, ice cream.” He nodded and reached out to grab your wrist, the area exploding in a sensation of pricks and tingles, “How about it? I’ll even pay.”
You fought the feeling his light hold had on your hand, and mustered up a little smirk, “You had me at you’ll pay.”
“That’s the last thing I said!” He laughed but nonetheless began to tug you in the direction of whatever ice cream shop he dearly wanted. It wasn’t the first time Wooyoung had tried to drag you off on an after school adventure. The first time was only a week after you had met each other and he profusely whined that he had no one to go get pizza with, and you just couldn’t say no to his pout. You knew he had other friends, like the 12th grader Yunho and the 10th grader Jongho, yet he always made time for just you. A part of you wanted to feel touched that he always gave you the time of day and the other part told you that’s how friendships worked.
The shop was only a block from campus, it’s vibrant colors almost visible from the steps of school. You had only been here a few times before but you remembered how nice it was. The smell of sweets wafting through the interior and the pleasant songs reverberating against the walls. Wooyoung pulled you towards the door where a smiling ice cream cone was plastered against the glass.
“What kind of ice cream do you want?” He asked as he pulled you to stand in the little line that had formed. You were surprised this place wasn’t busier despite school being out.
“Um I don’t know?” You mumbled looking over the array of potential choices, “Everything looks good. Maybe just like vanilla or something though?”
“That’s pretty basic Y/n.”
“Oh I’m sorry what are you getting mr. exciting?”
“Strawberry but maybe cake batter, maybe both if I have enough money.” He grinned and pulled you in front of the case, to get your orders taken by the unhappy college student. You had ended up with something simple, mainly due to the fact that there was just too many flavors to choose from and you wanted more toppings than actual ice cream. Wooyoung, however, had gotten enough ice cream to feed a small family and enough toppings you weren’t sure what happened to all the dessert underneath it all.
“Don’t you think you went a little...overboard?” You pointed at the mountain of whip cream atop his dessert. You were sure you could see it swaying in the light breeze outside the shop.
Wooyoung chuckled a little and picked at the cream with his spoon, “Come on, they gave me a discount!”
“Cause you bought out half the supplies!” You argued, taking a bite of your own ice cream.
“Just means I’m a good customer,” He rolled his eyes and leaned back in his seat.
“Just means you don’t know how to spend your money.”
“Are you jealous of all the stuff I got?” He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows up and down as he lifted up a spoon of pure whipped cream.
You huffed and looked down, swirling your plain vanilla with your spoon, “Nope, not at all.”
“Sounds like you are.”
“I am not-” You shook your head and looked up, only for a small handful of whip cream to come in contact with your eyes and nose. You let out a squeak at the sudden feeling and scrunched your face up at how cold it all was. And you knew your culprit immediately by the way his laugh resonated with your ears, “Wooyoung!”
He just continued laughing, loud and abashed, as you wiped away the mess from your eyes. You could see him, his head tilted back and his mouth wide open emitting a noise akin to music. There was such a light to him in that moment that you couldn’t help but begin to feel giddy as well. Usually you would have been pissed that someone had just thrown their food in your face, but you couldn’t be mad at Wooyoung. He was so happy about his harmless prank that it almost didn’t feel fair to take away the victory from him.
“Thanks a lot, Wooyoung,” You shook your head, fighting the smile on your face, as you tried to flick some of the whipped cream in his direction. And it worked, with the little cloud of white finding its mark on his nose and splattering across his cheeks. He let out a shrill shriek of surprise, no doubt startling others around you, as he stiffened up in his seat at the contact with the cold topping.
He pouted as he made contact with your sheepish eyes, “I guess I deserved that.”
“You think?” You laughed and he couldn’t help but mirror your actions until the both of you were but a mess of laughing teenagers, dessert toppings covering your face and happy tears leaking from the corner of your eyes. It had been awhile since you had laughed so heartily with someone, so purely, without a single care in the world.
Wooyoung was the first to settle down, “You’re a mess.”
You scoffed at his statement, “You’re not much better.” He grinned at the lazy retort and you felt time stop once again. The smile was radiant, like the sun above had kissed it with light. You knew Wooyoung had a pretty smile, you knew Wooyoung was pretty; but something about that moment felt so different. The way his lips twitched up in pure bliss, his eyes were alight with that life you yearned for, and his whole body seemed to exude a sense of joy that was hard to come by- it made you stop and wished you could have taken a picture. With the splatter of whipped cream coating his nose and cheeks, it was a moment of perfection and one that made your heart beat in unknown rhythm, made your stomach fumble with an emotion you weren’t sure of. All you knew was that you wanted to stay in this moment for a little longer.
Wooyoung’s smile softened a little as he stared at you, and he reached forward to hand you the array of napkins on the table, “Here.”
You gave him a faint smile as you took the napkins from him, to clean up the mess he had made of you externally, ignoring the tickling feeling that soared up your arms as you lightly made contact with his hand, “Thanks.”
But a couple of napkins couldn’t clean up the mess of your heart, your mind, your body- the mess of you he was making with his dumb smile, his pretty eyes, the life that surrounded him. The way he was making you feel so spectacular despite barley knowing him.
It wasn’t for a few more days that you got your answer to the feelings that seemed to only come out around him.
“Good morning class!” Mrs. Choi greeted as the bell rang and all the students shuffled into their seats. You had already been there minutes before the bell rang, glued to your seat in the back as you read through your previous lecture notes. Mrs. Choi was a great teacher yes, but Psychology was but a broad topic and you always had to review, “Today we will be switching gears from bad to good.”
“Bad to good?” A student from the front pipped up as Mrs. Choi flicked on the PowerPoint presentation, the colors on it a bright contrast to the rather monotone room.
“Yes from bad to good. We’ve been focusing on the negative reactions certain things have on the brain and body and I think we need to get into a little more light hearted topic before you all leave for break,” She reasoned and gestured to the display, which now read “positive emotions” in white bolded letters. “We’ve been talking a lot on how anger affects the body and how sadness can make you do incredible things-” She talked as she sat down on the table in the front, eyes scanning the room of students who were skillfully note taking, “-and now it’s time to talk about how good emotions affect the body, like happiness. Now, can anyone tell me something that would make them very happy?”
“Winning the lottery?”
“Money?”
“My family?”
Mrs Choi nodded along at the suggestions, “While some of your ideas of things that cause happiness are very.. Material, substantial things such as people or life achievements cause a great deal of happiness.”
“So like passing a test you studied for or coming in first for something?” Mrs. Choi gave a nod at the question.
“Yes, with things like that we are much more susceptible to long term happiness rather than with things such as the lottery or money. Could anyone give me a noun, and technically a verb, that many humans consider holding a lot of happiness?” You frowned at her crude question as well as the rest of the class. There were too many things that could cause a lot of happiness, and that would probably have to do with the perspective of the person in question as well.
“You all are looking at me like you’ve never experienced this!” She laughed and changed the slide, pointing to the one word in the center, “Love is what many consider to be the peak of happiness. I’m sure many of you have experienced such a thing once in your life.” Your eyebrows furrowed as her knowing smile. Sure, you knew you were loved and you were loved by some, but you weren’t sure you would have considered that peak happiness. You felt happier that day at the ice cream shop with Wooyoung, than you did when you were around your parents most of the time.
Mrs. Choi smiled at the students giving her funny looks, “I know what you all are thinking, I’m not incredibly happy with my parents? My siblings don’t give me that peak feeling of happiness? Mrs. Choi you’ve lost your mind!” She stood up from her spot on the table and began to walk around as she talked, “It’s good that your mind first went to your parents and family members; however, that’s not the type of love I was initially talking about. The Ancient Greeks had love separated by family, romance, friendship and the love for humans. We call these storge, eros, philia, and agape respectively. The one that tends to invoke the highest feeling of happiness is Eros, the feeling of romantic love.” Her words settled with you oddly as you wrote it down without question, “Eros is the feeling most of you will experience in full during your years here. How many of you have feelings you can’t explain when you’re around someone? That sinking in your stomach? The flutter of her heart? The joyous feeling you get when around that one person”
You couldn’t help but gulp when she spoke. She was asking all the questions you had been asking yourself. “These feelings have multiple meanings, yes, but they all have one distinct connection-” Your phone buzzed quietly on your desk, and you looked over to see Wooyoung’s silly contact picture hovering above the meme he had just sent you. A small smile made it’s way onto your face, and that fluttering feeling sank into your bones, as you turned back into your teachers words. “-They all have a distinct connection, and that connection is love.”
It was as if a jolt had gone through you, casted straight from the heavens above as her words went through your head. Love. It made your stomach sink… it made your heart flutter… it's what made you feel so giddy. The pieces seemed to fall into place as you looked down at the profile picture on your lockscreen, the name seeming to ring in your ears without even haven been spoken, and you swallowed thickly at the realization.
Wooyoung made you feel all the things connected to love.
You were in love with Wooyoung.
“Most of the time we do not realize it until odd, simple moments. Yet, such love has the greatest effect on our minds and bodies.” Mrs. Choi’s voice lingered in your head as you continued to gape down at your phone, heart now beating wildly at the realization that set your bones on fire, “Love is but a very funny thing.”
Love was but a funny thing indeed.
A thing that made your heart race and your breathing become erratic as the bell rang signalling lunch. Everyone in your class rushed to the door but you took your time to pack up, trying to calm yourself from the inside out. Now that you had a title for all the emotions and feelings, everything made so much more sense. You just didn’t think the realization of such a pure thing would make you have trouble breathing.
You stumbled out of the classroom door and let out a sigh of relief when you didn’t see Wooyoung right outside of the door. At least you were granted a few moments to get your heartbeat back to normal. You slowly began to walk towards the library, praying to whatever Gods above that the knots in your stomach would go away before you reached your little corner. There was no doubt in your mind that Wooyoung would already be there, with snacks for the both of you, sitting on the bean bags in the back corner that no one ever bothered.
And you were right, noticing as soon as you walked through the library’s doors, that Wooyoung was stretched out across to bean bags, his phone high in the air above him. No doubt he was scouting out the latest meme or TikTok, a thing he had failed to try and get you into. You walked over to him trying your best to project a facade of normality, especially as he turned and flashed you that bright smile you had come to adore.
“Y/n! Did you get that meme I sent you?” He said sitting up so that you could sit on the second chair that he was previously lounging on.
You took your spot with a small smile, doing your best to not show any other emotions except mild amusement, “Of course. It almost got me in trouble in Psyc.”
Wooyoung gave a little chuckle but there was a glint that came into his eyes at your words and it worried you, “Mrs. Choi didn’t take your phone?”
“She loves me too much to do that,” You rolled your eyes but at the mention of that damned word your heart sped up erratically again, your stomach knotted and your ears roared. The close proximity between you and Wooyoung became all too prominent and you flopped back into the seat, hoping maybe the jolt would shock your body enough to stop the feelings that had ahold of you.
Wooyoung raised an eye at your behavior as he sunk into the seat next you, head tilted so he could stare at your face. Even if the pair of you had only been close friends for a month, he could read you like an open book. He knew the second you walked into the library that something was bothering you; with the way your lips were in a tight line and your left hand was shaking uncharacteristically. He knew you were bad at hiding your emotions despite what you and others believed.
“I’m sure she did,” His voice dropped in volume and you closed your eyes to resist looking over at him, knowing that that intoxicating feeling would overtake you again. You hadn’t decided if you liked it, the tingling and the sparks, even if they always followed you around when you were with one of your favorite things. You just couldn’t really believe you had fallen in love and you didn’t know if you wanted any of the repercussions that came with it.
“Y/n.” Wooyoung’s voice finally registered in your mind and you nodded in acknowledgment.
“Yeah?”
“What’s wrong.” He said it like no question and you refrained from sighing. Of course Wooyoung would know something was up immediately.
“Nothing.”
He scoffed and turned on his side, giving you his full attention and you couldn’t help but glance over to his captivating eyes. They were entirely full of worry, “Don’t lie to me Y/n… just tell me what’s wrong.”
“I just… I learned something today,” You managed, tearing your eyes away from his as he cocked his head to the side. There was a roaring in your ears as you spoke and a sinking in your gut; but something wanted you to just tell him your epiphany. A part of you wanted to sing it to the world and it took every ounce of willpower not to just say it. You knew, internally, you just wanted to say it. Maybe than the dumb butterflies would leave your stomach.
“You seem pretty shook about it? What’d you learn about? A war or something?” He continually questioned and leaned his head down, hair brushing against your shoulder and your lips tightened into a straight line at the tingling contact.
“No… um it’s a.. It's something about myself.” You stuttered out, eyes wandering to your fingers in your lap, running your fingertips over your nails to try and ease your nervousness. You could feel your body tightening, in your back, in your arms and legs, all due to this odd stress that had been thrown upon your body as soon as Wooyoung laid his head against your shoulder.
“What is it than?” You could feel his breath against you shoulder as he pulled your hands away from one another, fearful you would somehow find a way to rip off your own finger. He had never seen you so fidgety, so nervous; and he had been with you the day you had a giant history presentation.
The way his fingers curled around you hand softly made your mind draw a blank, as your stupid heartbeat picked up into a sprint. You could only focus on the way his thumb softly drew circled on your knuckles, a thing you had told him you did to calm yourself down. You watched him, drawing shapes on the back of your hand gently, and spoke the first cohesive sentence you could form. “In psych they… we were talking about that feeling of butterflies... and electric jolts and such...and how… how i-it can mean your in love.”
He laughed a little and squeezed your hand in his own, that once unknown feeling encompassing your figure tenfold, as his words came out in a coy tone, “How’s that a bad thing?”
“Because I feel it all when i’m around you.”
You just had to say it. Maybe it was the way his tone made you jolt with energy or how carefully he caressed the skin of your hand. Maybe it was just the fact that with every second your mind kept screaming to tell him everything. It was the fact that all your nervousness seemed to fade, the stress that was weighing on your body, all faded into background noise at your words and you felt so much better.
Wooyoung’s quiet laughter made you furrow your brows in confusion, especially as he spoke in a light hearted tone, “Your confession was a lot more poetic than mine was going to be.”
“What?” You were thoroughly dumbstruck at his words and you could feel his smile grow against your shoulder.
“I was going to tell you today too, but it was going to be through some dumb meme… i’m glad i waited.”
“Wait.. you.. You...me?” You stuttered, getting frustrated with your brain as you tried to form an understandable sentence.
Wooyoung just laughed and lifted up a little, so you two could make eye contact as he spoke, a new seriousness in his gaze,  “I get those same, stupid butterflies when I’m around you too, Y/n.”
You could only stare at him as you croaked out, wonder-struck by the whole situation, “When?”
He smiled at you, a whole other look of fondness on his face, “Our little ice cream date. Not just anyone will let me pelt them with dessert toppings and let me live.”
“Dumbass,” You mumbled but a little grin grew on your face, as well as a blush as you pulled up your hands to cover your face. Wooyoung reluctantly let go of your hand and instead watched as color rushed to your face, and he could tell it was due to excitement rather than embarrassment.
He reached out and cupped the side of your face, a new sense of confidence taking hold of him, and brushed down your hand so you could see his smiling face, “Yeah, but I want to be your dumbass.”
“My dumbass?” You voice was quiet and questioning, because you couldn’t believe the way his smile was making you giddy or how you really just wanted to reach out and hold his hand. Or the major fact that he wanted to be with you. You believe that was the real reason to why you could hear your heartbeat in your ears.
He laughed, hot breath fanning against your face, as he stroked your cheek with his thumb, “Yeah, your dumbass. So… is it gonna be a yes or no?”
A smile grew on your face, as his fingers trailed over your skin leaving a trail tingling sensations, “Yeah…. Yes you can be my dumbass.”
For once in your life, Wooyoung looked bashful at your acceptance. A timid smile grew on his lips as he retracted his hand from your face and moved it to encase your own, fingers intertwining almost like it was second nature for them. His voice was wavering a little as a spoke, “Can.. can we finish up that Billy Elliot movie?”
“That’s the question you ask next?” You laughed a little and leaned back into your seat, training your eyes to take in all that was Wooyoung. His ashy hair always styled neatly, a smile that left you feeling woozy, and eyes alight with a life that made you want to stare at them all day. Adding all of his physical features with his personality; one of childlike playfulness and a caring only found in the most compassionate people, it made sense. It was no surprise, you thought as you looked at him taking in the curve of his shy smile, that every little thing he did made your heart race, your stomach knot, and your bones alight with a newfound sensation. You smiled a little at his new timid nature and squeezed his hand a little tighter, enjoying the feeling, “But yeah… we definitely can.”
You now knew the definition of love.
And it was everything Wooyoung was.

Life Switched Up
The lovely idea By Feli
basically gmw but on a gender bender and this lovely idea made me so inspired, I’ll probably make this is a series but I may type the rest on a different website(posting it here as well of course) but hopefully you all enjoy !
Boy MEETS life or in this case reality
“I can’t believe it.. My son.. My young, young, young son’s first day of school is less than twenty minutes away… come here kiddo get a picture with your mommy please”
“Mom, I’m fifthteen and it’s just the first day of highschool” Ricky sighs as his mother engulfs him into a huge hug, she always got so sentimental once school came around crying and holding until the very last minute possible before Cory and Ricky himself would remind her that he would be late if she didn’t let go.
“I know honey but.. It’s the first day of your career and-- gosh you’re getting old, Cory remember when he was just a boy” Topanga cries again as Cory comes to rescue his son, he frees Ricky and he waves goodbye, Ricky leaving to meet Miles near the subway.
To say Ricky wasn’t nervous was an understatement, he was freaking out internally. Ricky unlike most boys was always awkward and oblivious to the world around him, growing up in a home with a younger sister to look out for and two parents that basically taught him the ins and outs of life he never really had to struggle with much other than his own insecurities and optimism. Ricky, for the entirety of his life, has always been plagued with the go lucky- goody two shoes trait that made him a joy to be around, especially for the girls that fell for him left and right to which he never noticed as he always assumed that his niceness was only being reciprocated. Ricky always overthought things, even when he didn’t mean to, he was always worried that over something whether it be an upcoming bio quiz or the matters of home and the outside world his curious mind would lead him to thinking into different variables over the simplest equations, one being the start of high school. This would be the last four years of which before he ventured off to become an adult and do adult things, the thought of being an adult and doing adult things scared him more than Miles as he shouted “Boo!”.
Ricky shifts uncomfortably, rolling his eyes “Very funny Miles”, he says as his best friend gives him a warm hug. Miles was the complete opposite of Ricky in both physical features as well as personality; Miles was more adventurous, more charming, and more reckless with his blonde hair and green eyes that makes almost any girl swoon and most times he was often more recognized and loved for his troublemaking ways which always led to Ricky having to save him in the end of course. Miles unlike Ricky was the only child in his family, he grew up without a father and had only a mother who worked her ass off at a diner to keep a roof over their heads, Miles barely ever bothers to recognize or think about why his father left or who his father was, that was all forgotten and bottled up in the form of him not being academically smart and being the bad boy of brooklyn jay middle school, to which that bad boy persona and his overall look of nonchalant-lance would carry over to brooklyn high nonetheless.
Miles laughed as they both boarded the train and grabbed a pole, “Oh come on, you were totally out of it! It would’ve been cruel of me not to try and scare you”.
Ricky once again rolled his eyes and chuckled a bit as he pulled out his phone and checked the time. 8:04 AM. He let out a breath of relief, they still had a good forty minutes to get to school on time. Ricky began going on a tangent about how nervous he was for the idea of highschool when the train shaked just a little, with Miles glancing behind them to see a gorgeous blonde sitting by herself reading, he nudged Ricky to turn around causing the anxious boy to stop dead in his tracks.
“Woah,” Ricky speechlessly says as he stares at her while leaning on the pole, her dirty, curly  blonde hair cascaded down her face easily. With headphones in her ears she looks up for a mere second and catches the glance of Ricky to which she smiles smally at, then returns to her book in hand. Ricky's nerves instantly turn to butterflies as he turns around and grins with Miles who is just laughing at his awkward best friend. “She’s she’s-”
“Hot, Datable?, ohhh Bedable ?,” Miles smirks and Ricky shakes his head and sighs, “No, she’s beautiful and probably completely out of my league,” the jet black haired boy mumbles as he looks back at her again, this time she’s completely engrossed in whatever she’s reading.
“Ricky that’s the thing about you, you think too much”
“And you don’t think at all”
“See! You get me, this is why we're best friends, it’s also why I’m gonna show how easy this is and how you’re so in her league that she might as well be out.. Just watch,” Miles says as he guides his way over to her. He swings around a pole before greeting her.
“Hi I’m Miles. You’re really cute we should go out sometimes ? You make me happy! You don’t pay enough attention to me!, this isn’t working out. It’s you, not me. We can still be friends.. Not really,” He walks away leaving the girl confused and lost as she stares in their direction before diverting her attention back to her book.
Miles comes back and pats Ricky on the shoulder, “She’s available, we just broke up”.
Ricky frowns, “Awwe I’m sorry dude, do you want to talk about it ?”
Miles shakes his head laughing,”Look here’s a quick tip: be like me and don’t think”, he let’s Ricky’s hand go as the train shakes causing Ricky to fall back, slipping into the seat right next to the blonde haired beauty who glances over and gives him a weird look as he straightens up and smiles, “Hi, we we’re just talking about you.. You use to date my best friend Miles” he laughs a bit as a blush of embarrassment comes over him.
She laughs and it sounds like actual angels to Ricky as she speaks, “I’m Lucy”  she says as she holds out her hand.
“I love it”
“Ack.. I mean I um.. It’s a nice name. I’m Ricky,” The jet black haired boy stumbled as he shook her hand that felt softer than pillows, the butterflies were definitely swirling inside him. He was about to say something when an older Lady politely came up to him and ask if they could trade seats, Ricky being the generous person that he is instantly gets up and allows her to take his seat, only realizing after what a mistake that would be since now he was left standing awkwardly by them.
“Okay well… see you around Lucy,” Ricky walked back to the pole where Miles stood glaring at him, “What ?”
“Dude you had the golden opportunity to talk to her and you gave it away for an old lady,” Miles scorns as Ricky shakes his head comprehending his mistake, the train stops at their destination and they get off together ready to walk together for the first time through the halls of Brooklyn J. High, the butterflies disappearing and the nerves kicking in yet again.
“Oh my god you’re so right, I mean what if that was the greatest moment in my life? What if I never get to see her again, what if after that a girl will never talk to me again all because I’m an awkward dork”, Miles rolled his eyes at Ricky’s exaggeration, like always his best friend overthink everything even when it wasn’t necessary. “Look Dude”, Miles begins as they finally make it to the steps of the high school with seven minutes to spare, “Just take a deep breath and relax, we’re the new underdogs and just like any new rookie we must climb our way to the top of the social ladder… or at least I’ll help you climb” the blonde boy nods as they enter the school both stopping dead in their tracks as they gawk at their very new surroundings.
Everything. Is. Different.
There were lockers that were long and not split in half, there were students not walking in a line, there were places where students can freely talk and enjoy life, there were vending machines, and there was Fiona Minkus, Brooklyn Jay- er- High’s richest elite, walking up to the two boys and ready to plastered herself to her boyfriend’s side. She crashes into Miles causing him to jump before hugging back and kissing the pretty brunette on the cheek.
Fiona Minkus was the epitome of intelligent, there was not one problem she couldn’t solve in less than ten seconds. Rivaling basically the boy version of herself, Fiona was known for her great mind but also for her rich name. As her dad is one of the founders of Brooklyn J. High, her name is famous in the halls of this school even before her first official day of freshman year.  Treated like royalty, the blue eyed brunette always hated her family name and the responsibility it held, she always felt that she could never fully be apart of and treated like her peers around her, whether due to her intelligence or her money Fiona would never truly learn what it’s like to be an outsider.
“Took you guys long enough, I was starting to worry,” She laughs as she grabs ahold of her boyfriends hand, they all begin walking together with Ricky obviously third wheeling but not that either of the lovebirds mind. Ricky although insanely gorgeous, was a very oblivious and easily distracted boy; for all of middle school girls who didn’t fell for her boyfriend’s charm swooned over Ricky’s awkwardness and kind heart however, he always assumed that they were only just being nice to him. Fiona has known the boys since 3rd grade when they ended up being the only two who came to her birthday party she held at her penthouse, most parents felt intimidated by the Minkus family but the Hart’s and Matthew’s family weren’t like them and from there they’ve grown up together, with of course Miles and herself falling head over heels for each other in 7th grade.
“Fi you must remember, they are commoners compare to us” Zoelle giggles as she catches up to them. She gets an uncomfortable silence before Fiona coughs and introduces her, “Guys um this is my new friend I met over the summer during abroad in India, Zoelle Babineaux. Zoella meet Ricky and my boyfriend, Miles Hart” they boys smile and greet her nicely and she blushed with embarrassment, “Sorry about my comment, it was just a joke” she tries to laugh it off and Miles laughs with her.
“Oh don’t worry if that’s the worst thing you’ve got then trust me I will be out doing that by the end of the week”
“Is that a challenge Hart, I’ll have you know I sure do enjoy a good war”, She snickers teasingly and he laughs once more patting her on the shoulder, “Trust me Zoelle, if a war is what you want best believe I’ll win”.
“Oh Zoe he’s right, there’s no way your too much of a goody two shoes” Fiona jokes.
“Oh my god,” Ricky gasps loudly,”I’m not the only one, high five!”
Zoe giggles again and gives Ricky a high five before turning her attention back to Miles who was already staring at her, “We’ll settle this after homeroom” She smirks before walking into the class to which the others follow suit.
They all sit down when the teacher turns around, Ricky’s, Fiona’s, and  Miles’ face’s instantly drops, “Oh no” they say simultaneously. The teacher cheers as he claps his hands together, “Oh yEs!”
“Do you guys know him or something?” Zoe asks confused.
“He’s my dad,” Ricky mumbles as he tries to hide his face, which is pointless since he is in the very front row.
Suddenly a knock at the door and it opens to reveal Lucy from the train entering with a note, suddenly Ricky’s eyes light up and Miles sits laughing while Cory looks terrified, looking back and forth between the smiling blonde and his gushy son.
“Oh no”
“Oh yEs!”

Just Listen
Warnings: Like one bad word. School violence? Characters: Sam & Dean Winchester, sister Winchester reader Summary: You get into a school fight but no one believes it wasn’t your fault Reader's Age: Highschool age Word Count: 1665
Y/N: Your Name
A/N: Yay a request! I’m not that good at comebacks so I went with the most common one I could think of don’t judge me! I also just went with the first title that came to mind so yeah.. Enjoy!
It was like any normal day. Get up, get ready, go to school, avoid everyone, go home. That was your routine. You walked through the halls of school, headed towards your locker. You opened your locker, but quickly shut it when you heard a loud commotion coming from down the hall.
You pushed through all the people and saw that the school bully, Derrick, was yelling at a young boy. The boy was known to be a 'nerd' so he was an easy target.
Derrick was pushing him around and yelling things along the lines of "Loser!" and "Idiot!"
You tightened your jaw and approached Derrick, getting in between him and the boy he was bullying. "Quit picking on him you dick," you demanded.
Derrick glanced behind him at his friends. "And why should I?"
"Because if you don't, I'll make you." You took a step forward.
He laughed, "You will make me? You're just a nobody, a piece of trash that no one here cares about."
"Maybe so, but at least my family actually loves me," you growled, raising an eyebrow as you knew fully well you got through his thick skull. In front of you, you saw his fists clench and his entire body stiffen. His fist rose and raced towards your face, but you ducked quickly and countered by clocking him in his jaw.
Derrick fell to the ground and cried out in pain. You were about to continue before your arms were being restricted. It was Derrick's friends. The entire school merely pulled out their phones and filmed it instead of stepping in. "Typical," you mumbled to yourself. Derrick got up, formed a fist and punched you in the gut, then right at your nose. You blinked away spots, that weren't too difficult to shake in the first place, and looked to your sides. The guys were weak. They barely had a grip on you, so you smirked, confusing him before you shot back, pulling the two guys together and making them collide into each other. They stumbled back with a hand to their heads.
Derrick approached you once again. You threw up your fist and hit him in the eye. He yelled in pain and you heard people chanting your name. You turned around and saw the principal and several teachers rushing towards you with stern faces on.
"Miss Winchester, just what do you think you're doing?" Principal Kyser asked.
"It–It's not what it looks like. I swear. I was just-" you tried to stutter out before the principal interrupted you.
"My office, now!" she demanded, leading you to her office and not waiting for you to catch up.
You sat in her office, hearing her lecture about "violence" and how "you shouldn't be hitting students". She'd called your brothers, so you didn't bother listening to her lecture. You were just going to hear it again from your brothers anyway. You tried multiple times to explain what really went down, but she refused to listen.
By the time you'd given up defending yourself, a knock on the door interrupted Principal Kyser's lecture.
"Come in," she said, keeping her eyes on you. "Sam and Dean Winchester, please have a seat." You slumped down further in your chair, that just so happened to be in the middle of your brothers'. "We have quite the predicament," she said.
"Yeah, uh, what exactly was she doing?" Sam spoke first. You looked to your left and saw Dean giving you a disappointed look.
"I caught her physically harassing students," she explained.
"What exactly does that mean?" Sam asked, trying to see if this was negligible.
"Like I said a million times before, it was self-defence!" you blurted out.
"Hey! Not now," Dean shushed you, shaking his head. You huffed and leaned back.
"She was caught punching another student, along with his friends. By the school regulations, we will have to suspend her for a week," she glanced at you for a moment. "Any more of these violent outbursts and she will be expelled. I'm going easy on you, Miss Winchester."
"Gee, thanks," you said, giving her a sarcastic smile which earned a light slap on the arm from Sam.
Principal Kyser ignored your comment and spoke directly to your brothers. "Well, that's all. Thank you for coming to get her."
"Yeah, thank you for calling us in and only giving her a small suspension." Sam stood up and shook her hand. You and Dean stood up as well and finally, you three headed back out into the halls.
"Can I finally explain myself?" you asked, skipping a step while trying to keep up with your brothers' long strides.
"No. Now quiet," Dean grumbled. You sighed and followed them outside and into the Impala.
"Y/N, what were you thinking?!" Dean broke the silence that had filled the Impala for a whole twenty minutes.
"I-" you tried, but once again, Dean interrupted you.
"You were supposed to keep your head down and stay out of the light. You did the exact opposite. I mean, starting fights? That is probably the worst way you can keep low. Y/N, we made a mistake by signing you into the school system with the Winchester name so we expected you to not draw attention to you or the name! We're wanted by the FBI and supposed to be dead! You know what happens if they notice you!" Dean's voice rose with anger.
"Y/N, we care about you, but you can't be doing stuff like this!" Sam joined.
"I'm sorry-"
"Oh, you're sorry? Sorry doesn't take back what you did, does it? You know what? You're grounded," Dean shouted.
"What? Dean-" This time, Sam was the one to interrupt you.
"Dean's right. You're not going to waste this suspension doing whatever you want. You need to learn your lesson. So, no phone, no TV, no electronics. You're going to spend this time by catching up on homework and assignments," Sam explained.
You opened your mouth to protest, but decided it wasn't worth the effort. You were furious. No one was listening to you. If they just shut up for five seconds and let you explain then they would understand. But, no. No one listens to you.
When you got home, you slammed everything you opened. You stormed down the stairs, turning down the halls to go straight to your room. You slammed your door shut and collapsed on your bed.
...Sam and Dean’s POV...
"She's pissed at us," Dean commented, sitting down at the map table.
"You think?" Sam sat on the opposite side of his brother. "Do you think we went too far by grounding her from... everything?"
"No. She needs to learn her lesson and getting rid of all that crap will teach her. Won't it?"
"Yeah," Sam mumbled, trying to convince himself that he did the right thing.
Dean perked his lips. "Teenagers."
A few hours passed and Sam heard a phone ringing. He looked down the table in the library and saw it was your phone. He got up and answered it with a curious "Hello?"
"Hi? Um, who am I talking to?" a young girl spoke on the other end.
"Depends on who this is," he responded.
"Oh, uh, my name is Miranda, I thought this was this girl's phone number, sorry I bothered you," Miranda apologized.
"Wait, wait, wait. What girl?"
There was a long pause. "Y/N Winchester. I just wanted to thank her for sticking up for my little brother, Freddy. I don't know her real well, but it was cool of her to do that for him. If you can pass it on, that'd be great."
"Wait, Miranda. You said she stuck up for you little brother?" Sam inquired, his entire perception changing.
"Yeah. Freddy was being pushed around by the school bully, Derrick, for months. And today when Derrick was picking on my brother, Y/N stepped in when they went after her. She was just protecting herself and Freddy. I heard she got suspended," Miranda explained and Sam shook his head at his ignorance to what you'd been trying to tell them.
"Yeah, well thank you for calling I'll be sure to pass it along," Sam nodded before hanging up.
...Your POV...
You stared at your ceiling, tired of doing homework when you heard a faint knock on your door, but you didn't say anything. They were coming in one way or another. The door opened and you heard both your brothers footsteps walk in.
Sam cleared his throat, "Can we talk to you?"
"Do I really have a say in it? Or are you just going to interrupt me?" you snapped and rolled over onto your stomach. The bed by your feet sunk, telling you that one of your brothers had sat down.
"We were wrong," Sam admitted. "A girl from your school called and explained the entire thing, you were just sticking up to a bully."
"I could've told you that," you sat up, sitting crisscrossed and faced them, "but, no. No one listens to what I have to say. After all, I must be lying, right?"
"You can drop the attitude at any time, we're just trying to apologize," Dean chimed in. He was leaning against your dresser with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Y/N, we were wrong and we're sorry," Sam said calmly. "We should've let you tell your side. From now on we will."
"I'm sorry, too. I know you want to lay low and not draw attention, but I just couldn't stand by and watch some jerk beat up a little kid!" You glanced at Dean who gave you a small nod, knowing he would've done the same.
"I know. Just... next time, try not to break the kid's jaw," Dean chuckled, earning laughs from you and Sam.
"Well I think you should blame the person who taught me how to," you retorted with a smile at Dean. He smirked pridefully at you while Sam chuckled knowingly.
Requested by @massiadam: "Could you do a sisfic where she defends someone getting bullied by beating up the bully but then gets in huge trouble and everyone including sam&dean believe that she started the whole fight so they ground her but then discover what really happened”
I hope y’all like this one! I’m open for tips on improving!

Shokugeki no Hiraku - Ch. 2
Yeah, we’re finally updating this. I stopped being an disappointment at last (I love how I literally say in the first chapter’s author’s note that this story will be faster to write because I will skip over the cooking more in this. AND THEN I STILL TOOK MONTHS, I AM SORRY!
Here’s the first part (in case you all forgot what I am even talking about lmao) -> https://polar-stars.tumblr.com/post/180137385831/shokugeki-no-hiraku-ch-1
---
-The Taste of Onions and French Hills-
It took Hiraku a bit of time to find the kitchen in which he was supposed to have his first lesson. When he finally found it at last, he was already 20 minutes late and the entire room looked up at the sound of a door opening and instantly every head turned making each and every pair of eyes fall on him. Not that this was something Hiraku wasn’t used to. “Excuse me, I’m late.” He simply stated towards the teacher, who seemed to be rather unpleased about this interruption judging by his expression. After his eyes had disapprovingly scanned Hiraku he finally said. “Are you the new one? Yukihira Hiraku?”
Hiraku gave the confirming nod, which made a sigh escape the teacher. “Please come on time next time, we value good manners here on Totsuki.” He said in a sharp tone. Already he had this feeling that this new kid would give him some headaches. Hiraku only gave another nod. After a frown, the teacher let his gaze travel to the very end of the classroom. To the cooking station with only one student standing at it. “Well at least that means that Honda has a partner now.” Hiraku followed the teacher’s gaze and his eyes fell on a purple-haired male with radiating, bright blue eyes in a chef-uniform who looked back to him. “But hey yourself dressed first.” The teacher grumbled. — A few minutes later, Hiraku was standing next to the purple-haired boy dressed in his Yukihira restaurant uniform which did earn a few weird looks. Hiraku didn’t pay attention to any of them and just tried to understand what was written on the board in the front. .......“Soupe à L'oignon“? What was that supposed to be? While he thought further, he suddenly felt a pull on his sleeve. As he turned into the direction it had come from he was met with the blue eyes of his cooking partner. “You didn’t let me introduce myself yet.” He whispered cheekily with a grin, while the teacher was still elaborating the task in the front. Not minding this, the boy only proudly held out his hand and raised his voice a little. “Honda Kyo. One of the Elite within the 114th Generation.” Like on command the two girls in front of the duo, swirled around and eyed Kyo with a death-glare. “SUSH.” Kyo gave them an apologising grin. “Ehehe.” He nervously laughed. “Pardon?” After one second of more death-glaring the girls turned around again, one of them huffing. In addition Kyo earned another disapproving glance from the teacher. Kyo turned back to Hiraku, who only stared back blankly. “Well what I want to say is, you can call yourself lucky to be teamed up with such a great talent as me on your first day, transfer student Yukihira.” “Ah.” Hiraku merely responded and then took the hand that Kyo was still holding out. “Nice to meet you, Honda.” Kyo gave him a wink in return. “The pleasure is on my side.” Just in time, the teacher in front had elaborated the task which none of the two took note of and Hiraku took another look to the board and then looked back at Kyo, as the teacher said: “You may start now.” “So uhm....what is uh ‘Sopi’ supposed to be?” Hiraku asked still not understanding a word on the blackboard. Kyo tilted his head. “‘So’- Oh you mean ‘Soupe’! It’s a French dish. We’re supposed to make onion soup. Don’t worry, though. The recipe stands right there on the-“ He had turned his head and suddenly he froze and the rest of the sentence got stuck in his throat. Hiraku blinked a bit confused before turning his head as well, to witness that the board in front was completely cleaned of all information except for “Soupe à L'oignon”. “What the...” Hiraku heard Kyo next to him while he only went “Huh”? The teacher in front didn’t look at them but still Hiraku couldn’t help but feel somewhat addressed. “I am sure you all used your time to write everything on the board down and paid attention to my words. There shouldn’t be a problem, no?” No one raised a hand to object. Everyone else had written something down. - A curse escaped Kyo. “Shit.” He hissed. He became a bit more pale. “I......I don’t know how to make this soup based on memory!” Hurriedly and with a panicky expression he swirled to Hiraku who only shrugged. “No idea.” Kyo shrieked. “How can you be so calm about this?!” He turned away again and held his hand. “I am about to fail my first lesson on the first day of Highschool fuck!” Hiraku tilted his hand and began to think, while Kyo hastily mumbled things. “Fuck, fuck, fuck. I can’t believe this. Oh, wait! Maybe we can ask someone.” He raised his voice to address the girls in front of him. He tried to sound charming and put up a grin, but nervousness still showed.  “Ladies!” But all he earned was a scowl. Meanwhile Hiraku was still tilting his head left and right. Kyo continued his nervous mumbling and so time went by. Kyo’s mumbling only got interrupted in the very front as a female voice suddenly exclaimed. “I am finished!” Hiraku leaned toward and spotted a girl in the front in a pink cooking uniform with golden locks tied into a ponytail held together with a pink ribbon. The teacher’s face lightened up. “Ah, Tsujimoto. As I should have expect from the heir of Tsujimoto Ichiro’s branch.” The girl flipped her hair. “But of course. I can cook “Soupe à L'oignon“ in my sleep.” “Alright, I have an idea.” Hiraku announced out of the sudden and moved forward. Kyo was only left with a “What?!” But Hiraku did not turn and merely walked up to the front, where the girl was currently serving her dish to the teacher. Questioning eyes followed him until he finally stood behind the girl, who didn’t took note of him yet as she had her back turned to him. The teacher noticed him though and immediately his face darkened at his sight. This change in expression also made the girl turn. “What the fuck do you want?” Were the first words Harumi Tsujimoto spoke to Hiraku Yukihira. Hiraku responded with lifting his hand. “Sorry to interrupt but I want to ask.“ His expression remaining stoic as always he continued. “I want to eat your dish.” Kyo in the background shook his head in ultimate not-understanding, the other students exchanged weirded out looks within each other, the teacher’s expression went even darker and Harumi raised an eyebrow. “What?” She then snarled, after a long stretch of silence. Hiraku, not minding the atmosphere he created at all only repeated his words. “I want to eat your dish.” While Harumi muttered “the fuck”, the teacher put his dish aside on the table next to him and raised from his chair. “You’re supposed to work, Yukihira Hiraku. So far, I haven’t seen you or your partner lift a finger. I don’t know how things were at your old school, but this is Totsuki where you have to show good results to succeed. I won’t go easy on you just because you’re new. So you better start respecting your environment and get to work, if you don’t want to have your first day on Totsuki be your last!” Hiraku remained unreadable during this tirade, not showing the slightest hint of intimidation. “I will work as soon as I tasted her dish, sensei.” He then calmly stated once the teacher had finished. The teacher’s left eye twitched and after a bit of silent that felt like an eternity for everyone else he let out a frustrated groan  and both of his hands flew to his head. “Just who let you in?!” He then turned to Harumi and said. “Tsujimoto, if you would be so kind? Just make him stop wasting valuable time.” “Hmph.” Harumi responded before she looked at Hiraku and began to smirk. “Sure, it’s alright with me.” Her gaze now wandered to her cooking partner as she barked. “YO! Get this moron some of the soup!” The cooking partner flinched a bit before taking a bowl and pouring the dish into it. Hiraku watched this and as ever so often he said the thoughts that crossed his mind out loud. “For looking like some pink princess out of a little girl’s fairytale book, you sure behave like the kind from Yakuza movies who like punch people that didn’t pay off their debt or something.” A few students took a gasp, while Kyo was  pinching himself to check if this was a dream as his trust in his eyes faded more and more. Harumi was now the one who had a twitching eye and she began to look like right about to eat him alive. “What the fuck was that?!” “Yeah, they also usually talk like that in those movies.” Hiraku only pointed out. “YOU MOTHERFUCKING-“ Harumi roared and took a quick step towards him, almost looking like she would throw a fist making a few students back away. She was interrupted by the sharp voice of the teacher. “Tsujimoto Harumi!” With that Harumi froze in her movement. Slowly, she backed away again and took a deep breath. “I’m sorry.” She then grunted. “Don’t start fights in the classroom.” The teacher only responded. “We have the Shokugeki-system for a reason.” The term that just dropped was new for Hiraku. He just wanted to ask about it, but Harumi was quicker to talk. “Well, whatever.” Her green eyes narrowed as she eyed Hiraku. “I’ll let you taste my dish to show you what a Totsuki student is capable of, eh?! For you to realise I’m what kind off field you’re playing. Bet you can’t even compete with the worst 10 people in our generation.” Her cooking partner brought Hiraku the soup and Harumi crossed her arms and announced. “Be prepared to be swept off your fucking feet.” A smirk appeared back on her face and a moment later he held her right hand at her mouth in the demeanour of a princess as she began to laugh. “Ohohoho~” Hiraku barely heard her as he brought the spoon to his lips. For a moment everything was quiet as everyone else watched in expectation. Harumi’s smirk grew a bit as Hiraku remained silent. “And? Did you realise just how many levels you’re apart of me?” Hiraku continued to not speak for a good minute. Harumi’s smirk  disappeared as she rather grew to be annoyed. “Oi! Speak!” “Yukihira.” The teacher began. “If you are satisfied now, could you please return to your cooking station then?” He looked to Kyo, who had his head in his hands. Finally, Hiraku spoke up. But as he did, he turned to the cooking station and to Kyo. “Aright, Honda we need onions, butter, flour, beef broth and this long French bread.” Kyo took his head out of his hands. “......Baguette?!” Hiraku gave a nod. “Yeah, that.” He gave his bowl to a flabbergasted Harumi. “Thanks, I think I have an idea now how to prepare it. It was useful. It tasted like laying into a field of corn on a summer day, although there were a few ants. You should have added a little less salt.” The entire kitchen was stunned. Hiraku only began walking back to an equally taken aback Kyo, as Harumi finally snapped out of her trance and snarled. “A....Ants?! Just what the hell are you talking about?!” She took a step closers and yelled. “Have you just been playing dumb the entire time to give off a show. If you knew the ingredient why didn’t you just fucking cook?!” “Tsujimoto, your language.” The teacher warned. “But I do have the same question,  Yukihira. Why did you waste our time, if you could have already started working.” Hiraku merely turned his head. “I didn’t knew the ingredients up until now. But I tasted them and I think I know how to replicate the flavour.” Then he turned away again to make his way to Kyo. “Anyways, I will start working now.” As he arrived Kyo, his cooking partner looked at him with eyes that had so many questions. “What....was that?!” Was the first one. Hiraku only shrugged. “I figured out the recipe, I think. But let’s get onto it, before I forget.” — Having a stroll through Paris in autumn at noon was what went through the teacher’s head as he tasted the warm, perfectly done soup that was served to him last. “P............Perfect.” He stammered once, he was able to rip himself away from the way too beautiful imagination. “It’s......perfect.” “It is?!” Kyo screeched before he started to awkwardly laugh. “I mean...eh haha....of course it is. Hahaha. No surprise here.” Hiraku next to him didn’t say a work but only stared at the teacher blankly. The teacher eyed him sharply. “I’ll be honest with you. You annoy me greatly.” He then sighed and rubbed his temples, his voice softening a bit. “But......you’re talented. I can’t deny that. I still don’t really get just what you did, but it worked. A+.” “Real-“ Kyo was about to squeak before he straightened his back. “Ahem. Thank you, sensei.” Hiraku gave a nod. “I’m glad to hear you liked it.” “Be on Time Next Time, Yukihira.” The teacher hissed before raising his voice to address the entire class. “Class dismissed for today.” Hiraku turned around and he moment he set in motion, Kyo began to talk. “Wow, Yukihira. That was awesome! I mean, of course I am as well but so are you! You might even stand toe to toe to me!” “Hmm” Hiraku responded as the two walked out together. They were watched by the green eyes of Harumi, who was about to bend the work in her hands in anger. “You bitch-ass Transfer student.” She muttered full of angered venom. “I can’t fucking stand you already.” Outside of the classroom, Kyo only turned to Hiraku and laughed. “You surely are something.” He then smugly added. “But you still gotta learn a lot about Totsuki.” He abruptly stopped in his walk, making Hiraku stop in wonderment as well. Kyo grinned brightly. “Well, you can call yourself lucky as us two are friends now.” Hiraku blinked. “Friends?” “Yes, yes of course!” Kyo patted his back. “I will show you around. I am perfect to do that, you will see I am tight to almost every important person in this generation! And I’ll make sure to show our new wonder-boy around.” They started walking again and Hiraku answered. “Well, thanks then. Honda.” “Haha, no Problem. Wonder-Boy Yukihira Hiraku.”
