martin is Baby

he is Tiney

such a tiny baby and everyone loves him

martin learns that he regresses when hes still a teenager, but he keeps that secret all the way to his time in the archives. he knows when hes about to slip, and he finds a way to excuse himself and go be alone

he hates being alone, and he wants someone to take care of him, but he can't dare ask someone to do that. it just isn't fair! martin's always the one to take care of others, so they shouldn't have to worry about him!! but he needs the love and affection so badly...

sasha and tim already take care of jon, so it doesn't take them very long to figure out Something Tiney is happening with martin. he chews constantly, be it pens or his fingers or his shirt collar, doesn't matter. he goes quiet for long stretches of time. he gets this far away look in his eyes, and this sweet look about him when he does, but he always snaps out of it and looks surprised when he does

sasha and tim start experimenting, just to see if their suspicions are correct. they'll get his tea for him, they'll give him praise on his notes, they'll play disney songs on the stereo, and a few times tim even got him some stickers just to see what he'd do

after a while, sasha and tim are positive that they've got another regressor on their hands. they ask him about it, and at first martin denies it like crazy. but he does give in and explain yes, he regresses, but they super don't need to worry about him!! hes okay on his own!!!

they invite him over to hang out one evening (after explaining to jon, who is now a bit pouty and grumpy that his cgs are gonna make him share. the horror) and the four of them have dinner, hang out and watch tv, until martin gets sleepy

the thing with martin is when he gets sleepy, he starts feeling tiny. so he gets shy, and he tries to make himself as small as possible in the corner of the sofa. sasha notices, and she coaxes him out of the corner for cuddles. this squarely lands him in the 'fully regressed' category, and martin ends up with his thumb in his mouth, rubbing his eyes, and sleepily watching cartoons

it takes several times for martin to start really getting comfy with the idea of regressing with others, but once hes comfy he becomes the most spoiled baby

martin already has toys and things that he likes, like a taggy blankie, a crinkle book, a rattle, and a rubber chewy giraffe. he also has a stuffed highland cow named brownie who he HAS to have in order to sleep (brownie goes everywhere with him!!) and he has a plain cream colored paci

with tim and sasha, martin learns all the cutest things that make him feel even littler than anything he could do alone. tim holds his hand up and down stairs, across the street, or in stores so he doesnt get lost (he does this with jon too). sasha plays games like patty cake and peekaboo, and she reads lots of stories with him

martin is a fussy eater when hes small. when hes big, he'll eat just about anything, and he'll try anything once if it smells nice. but when hes small, food can be overwhelming, so he really likes simple things. lots of buttered noodles, plain chicken nuggets, and apple sauce pouches. apple sauce pouches are a life saver, really, he loves them so much

he also really likes getting bottles, and he likes when one of his cgs gives him his bottle. it makes him feel positively tiny, and it makes him feel very very safe and loved (esp warm vanilla milk!)

since he tends to lose his words, martin knows some baby sign language. it helps make sure his needs are being met, and the praise his cgs give him for asking for things makes him so happy

he doesnt like loud noises, so storms and things scare him very badly. he'll hide under covers until tim comes to rescue him

tim is dada, and sasha is mama (of course)

when hes big enough, martin likes to help them however he can. he'll dust the furniture, sweep the floors, or mix batter for baking to feel helpful. sasha and tim will praise him for a job well done, and he gets rewards like milkshakes or a new toy

loves loves loves warm baths. he loves bath bombs more than bubbles, especially pretty glittery ones with swirly colors. he has bath crayons and duckies and a little boat, and bath time is just so relaxing for him

he doesnt like high energy shows or movies, he likes nice and calm cartoons

i feel like he collects sylvanian families. and he has a playhouse for them. he takes such good care of them and has never lost a piece for any of them

this boy has an Aesthetic, and if he could ever figure out how to make sure he could surround himself in only his aesthetic, he would be the happiest baby on the planet

A Nap Is All I Need

(GIF isn't mine) Martin Whitly x little!reader Summary: You visit your parents over the weekend but can't get the rest you need there, Martin comes (calls) to your rescue. Word count: 711

Why did you think visiting your parents over the weekend was a good idea? Currently you didn’t know and you regretted the decision. Your parents had a somewhat unexpected visitor over and you stayed in your room, not willing to get up and socialize now. What you really wanted was to be in little space, enjoying your weekend before the next week of being an adult started. However, thanks to the visit that was off the table. You could hear your family talking across two floors, your door was already closed, and you had headphones on.  

You also felt cranky and in need of a nap, floating in between little space and being big didn’t help at all. And on top of all those struggles, that felt like too much to handle in your current state of mind, you missed your partner and caregiver Martin. He had to stay back home for work. So there you sat in your room, blocking out noises from outside your room with headphones that blasted loud music, missing your caregiver and wanting to nap.

All you wanted was to curl up in his arms and nap. He was always so comfortable and warm. Perfect for cuddles in your opinion. And he always took such good care of you, reading you like no one else could – well maybe his son could but this isn’t about him. As if on cue your phone lit up with a call from Martin. “Think of the devil” you said to yourself before picking up.  

You were first to greet him with a short “Hi”. “Hey, how’s my little angel doing?” came his reply softly. “Definitely not little and not an angel either.” You replied with a sigh and Martin could immediately tell that your mood was all but happy or content. “What’s wrong pumpkin?” his concerned tone had you spill everything in an instant. How you couldn’t be small because of everything going on in the background and how you missed him and just wanted to curl up in his arms and nap. A sad whine also made its way out of your throat and through the speakers to Martin. “Nawww my poor little angel. Hmmm let me think what we can do now.” While he thought about a solution, you curled up as best as possible on the desk chair you sat on.

“Okay, I think I have an idea, angel.” You hummed, signaling that he had your attention. “Can you go and lay down in bed for me? Grab a stuffie, your paci, whatever you need to be comfortable.” You got up from the chair and told him “I think I can do that yeah.” “Good. Let me know once you’re all snuggled up?” a short hum was the only answer he got while you were starting to get comfortable in bed. “Done. Am comfy. What do I do now?” you asked, curious what he had in mind. “Do you by chance have head or earphones lying around?” an idea dawned on you as to what his plan was, “Yeah I do, let me just quickly grab them.” You reached for your earphones, connected them to your phone, and told Martin you were all ready and set.

“Good job pumpkin. Now how do you feel about that nap you talked about earlier? Any better now that you’re in bed and have your earphones in?” You thought about it for a second and you were indeed feeling calmer than before. “Little better yesh. Can mostly only hear you now.” Upon hearing this Martin let out an acknowledging hum. “Alright then, how can I help you with falling asleep hm? I can read you a story, sing a lullaby, or just talk.” All of these sounded like a good idea but with your little side taking over more and more you decided on the story. And so he started to softly read you your favorite bedtime story.

Since you were wearing earphones that shielded you from outside noises and amplified Martin’s voice it didn’t take long for you to finally fall asleep peacefully. Once Martin was sure you were asleep he wished you sweet dreams in a quiet whisper. He stayed on the phone until you woke up again.

CG Martin Blackwood Headcanons!

martin is very, very good with quiet babies or older kids. he is not the best with handling kiddos with higher support needs or who are a bit brattier, he gets pretty frustrated with them

that being said, he is The Caregiver for comfort. if something upsets his regressor, makes them cry, whatever, martin is immediately there with hugs and tea and their fave stuffies to make them feel better

martin is absolutely the one who knows all his regressor's stuffies by name, and he knows which ones are besties and which ones are mortal enemies, and he knows their favorite sweets. all of this is very important information to have

martin is less the type to spoil a regressor with toys or pacis or cute clothes and more the type to take his regressor to the park or to a museum or the aquarium for the experience

looooooves cooking/baking with his kiddo!! he'll get them in the kitchen with him to measure and stir things for him, and is sure to sprinkle in some "oh let me do that, you're too little" moments

honestly the Best snuggles. he's a bigger guy and he just envelopes his regressor in a big hug that is just the most loving and protective embrace

big tshirts? big tshirts. they are no longer his, they are the kiddo's nighties and there is nothing he can do to stop this

he writes a lot of poetry and tries to teach his kiddo how to write it. they end up writing a lot of silly limericks!

i like to think that martin can sing so he sings his regressor lullabies for bedtime!

a lot of times martin tends to feel inadequate as a person and a caregiver, so he does need reassurance from his kiddo that he does a good job, and he appreciates it when his kiddo tries to do things for him like fix him a drink, get him a snack, or take a break from the bluey marathon to watch maybe a nice documentary about cows

(has also 100% absolutely dressed his regressor up in a highland cow onesie costume because it was too darn cute)

he can be strict about certain things like cleaning up toys or going to bed at bedtime, but he is still very gentle about the whole thing. gentle guiding into the direction he wants/needs the kiddo to go. is a master at bribing regressors with sweets to clean up toys

overall martin likes being a caregiver because it means someone needs him. he likes taking care of others, feels like he needs to do so, and taking care of a regressor just comes naturally to him. as long as he doesn't burn himself out, and he lets his kiddo help him, too, he is a fantastic caregiver ♡

i DO, thank u for asking!! (cw for some light angst)

-jon has two cat stuffies, one that he’s had since he was really young, the other martin gave to him

-they’re permanent fixtures when he’s regressed. he’s never separated from them for long

-(the older one is named bluebell, the newer one is named maple)

-doesn’t talk. only speaks in one or two word sentences unless he’s forced to sound ‘big’

-VERY embarrassed about his regression. doesn’t tell ANYONE

-martin has to put all the pieces together, research age regression, and tell jon “hey i think this might be helpful for you??” before jon is even willing to admit that there’s a tiny, remote possibility that maybe, sometimes, he occasionally feels a little bit younger than he is

-(they’re working on it)

-jon takes a long time to warm up to martin as a caregiver, even after they’ve already been together for a while, but once he does he’s very happy to be martin’s baby :)

-babbles a lot!! makes lots of noises just for fun!!

ive been kind of stressed cause of school lately, so ive had a bit of trouble with regressing properly, so i made some tma moodboards! ill do some arab character stimboards if im up for it this weekend!

was regressing before he joined the mag institute

his first cg was georgie, then sasha and tim, then the whole staff. its currently just martin, but he never officially stopped with the others

can NOT handle bitter stuff. when hes little he cringes at tea with a lot of sweetners like he cant

he originally regressed at home for the most part, but after the prentiss incident, he started regressing at the archives a LOT more

gets rlly quiet and shy around others, but LOUD around martin, tim, or sasha

cant stay in one place. always wandering around somewhere

not a huge fan of reading kids books, but loves getting read adult books
