Nora Redford Inventing Anna
Delvey's first Prison art post was in March of 2020. The Untitled piece is reminiscent of the speech bubbles used by legendary Pop art super star Roy Lichtenstein. Lichtenstein's Masterpiece was sold in 2017 for $150 million by heiress and Chair Emerita of the Board of Directors of MoMA PS1 Agnes Gund.
Now known as Prison art's $100 million patron, Gund took $100 million of these proceeds to create the Art for Justice Fund.
The Fund initially began as a five-year initiative that aimed to turn art into action by using art creation as a means to fund initiatives to end mass incarceration in the United States. Artists and art collectors alike have participated in giving away the proceeds from their art sales. Also new works have been created as a result of the initiative's goals. The Fund has been a recipient of MacKenzie Scott's charitable donations. According to the New York Times, as of March 2022, Scott has donated $12 billion to 1,257 organizations or individuals.
In Inventing Anna, many outlets have reported that Kate Burton's character Nora Redford is actually Agnes Gund in real life. But fans of the show on the subreddit r/InventingAnna weren't having it. While Gund was mentioned as the Redford character, so was Laura Skoler. Skoler is an art collector and a founding Board member of the New Museum in New York and the Daniel and Florence Guerlain Foundation in Paris. There is no reported evidence that Agnes Gund and Anna Delvey had met; nor is there evidence that Laura Skoler and Anna Sorokin had met.
The Redford character is a wealthy philanthropist who the fake German heiress and her boyfriend briefly lived with. Anna charges thousands of dollars on her mentor's credit card after staying rent-free with Redford for months. However, the subreddit community believes Redford to be a composite character.

Contemporary Research into Educational Games - Major Project
This card game is an example of learning a subject area through a multiplayer game that makes players visually and verbally describe different works and practices of art.
Tumblr media
Card Design
These are some examples of the artwork that's displayed on the cards. On the back you have the logo for the game itself, and on the front you have the art piece in question. It's a very simple layout, since the rules and guidelines are presented in a book and the list of names for the art pieces are presented on other cards. I think it would be helpful if there was a small description with the name of the piece, artist, and type of art form on the playing cards so that new players can describe the art piece easier rather than going to the rules and names list.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Book Design
I like the idea of having a book that can be used to read, with or without the card game, because it can inspire creatives for their own work and in general it's something to spectate appreciatively. I also like the consistency with the layout of each page; using the same margin and columns method, and a typographic hierarchy that works in terms of prioritising the artist name and then the name of the piece. On the Pentagram web page the book mockups are placed in front of a bright coloured background to make the product stick out, and to depict the variety of content that's showcased within the set.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Package Design
The square cardboard box that stores the cards features a grid package design on its lid, with bright squares inside when opened. The packaging's unique presentation is as fascinating as the stop motion used to showcase the box's opening. Additionally, the box's compact size is convenient, making the game portable and easy to arrange.
Conclusion
This card game is an example of a physical product that can make learning about a specific subject area fun. It also argues the idea of creating a physical product rather than a digital service so that students can have a hands-on experience of playing an educational game that enhances the experience of learning.

Reposted from @rxart INSTALLED! Nina Chanel Abney at NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst!
We are proud to announce the completion of “Fun #1,” an installation by Nina Chanel Abney in the Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic at @nychealthsystem - Elmhurst in Queens. @ninachanel’s brightly colored shapes, happy characters, and interlocking graphics now provide a positive distraction for approximately 15,000 patients as well as their family members and the hospital staff. The wall coverings and vinyl window applications can be seen from the outside as well, sharing Nina’s uplifting imagery with the entire Elmhurst community.
Our deepest thanks to Nina for your ambitious approach to this commission in order to share your exceptional creativity with these patients, to our hospital partners at @nychealthsystem - Elmhurst, our incredible team of designers @RAA, the amazing team @hksarchitects our pro-bono architecture partner, and our generous supporters Agnes Gund and @gloricohen, who made it possible. Thank You! Swipe to see highlights!

Reposted from @jackshainman About "Fun #1" @surfacemagazine writes: "When the pandemic broke out in 2020, Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York, was the country’s hardest hit medical facility. So enlivening the pediatric unit was top of mind for Diane Brown, the founder of RxART, a nonprofit that breathes life into sterile medical spaces through vibrant installations by big-name artists. [...] At Elmhurst, she enlisted Nina Chanel Abney to spruce up a waiting room with an array of exuberant characters, shapes, and interlocking graphics in contrasting colors. The intervention is a welcome salve for patients anxiously awaiting care—and a symbol of the neighborhood’s status as one of the world’s most diverse communities."

Agnes Gund and the Art for Justice Fund Announce $22 Million in Grants to End Mass Incarceration
Agnes Gund and the Art for Justice Fund Announce $22 Million in Grants to End Mass Incarceration
Around 5:30 each morning, President Trump wakes and tunes into the television in the White House’s master bedroom. He flips to CNN for news, moves to “Fox & Friends” for comfort and messaging ideas, friends suspect, it fires him up for the day. Energized, infuriated — often a gumbo of both — Mr. Trump grabs his iPhone. Sometimes he tweets while propped on his pillow, according to aides. Other…

Tumblr media
On Saturday, December 7th, at the Queen Memorial Church of God in Christ, in Oakland, California, grassroot activists, band others, will join forces in a joint fundraiser for two premier newspapers who are reporting from behind the prison wall, the California Prison Focus, and San Francisco Bay View.
