'Soka: Captain Rex x Ahsoka Tano
Synopsis: Ahsoka and Rex meet again after years apart, and sparks fly between them.
Warning: kissing
Words: 2.14k
a/n: So I've never written about them, in fact, I confess that Rex and Ahsoka have never been anything to me other than great friends. However, it's always fun to try and write something new. I hope you like it and that it made sense. They're both of age, it's set in that episode of Rebels where Ahsoka and Rex meet again ;)
Tumblr media
"Rex? Is that truly you, by the force?”  Ahsoka Tano asked in a whisper, as her blue eyes met the older figure of the former captain of the 501st. She took a step forward, her mouth trembling gently as if she had trouble knowing if this was really happening or was a figment of her imagination.
“Yeah, that's really me! 'Soka” His eyes widened as his mouth grew into a broad smile. A lifetime of service under the Galactic Republic and a decade of war could be seen etched into his features. He was now a middle-aged man in his late 30s. His head was now free from the confines of a sleek, blue-and-white helmet, yet there were certain things about his appearance that remained unchanged.
Ahsoka Tano jumped into his arms in a tight hug, it had been over ten years since she had seen Rex, the last time was shortly after Order 66, when they decided to go their separate ways to avoid attracting the Empire's attention. She felt like she had a lifetime of longing in her chest.
He felt her arms wrapped tightly around him, her body pressed warmly into his as they embraced. Rex held her in his own embrace, as if wanting to be sure that she was real and was really here, in front of him. He hadn't seen her since she was a young apprentice, but even after all these years, she hadn't changed. Her appearance may have matured, but she was just as lively and sweet as he remembered her. Looking down and seeing her familiar face made every hardship during their time apart all worth it.
"I missed you so much, Rexster" The pet name escaped Aksosa's lips against his "I missed you so much, Rexster" The pet name escaped Aksosa's lips against his neck, still not wanting to let go. She took a deep breath, her eyes closed tightly, as she tried to keep in her mind Rex's presence.
Rex laughed at the childish nickname, his breath catching as he held her close. His eyes never left hers, as he tried to recall every little memory that he'd kept over the years. He couldn't believe that it had been so long since they'd last seen each other. And yet, here she was, standing right in front of him as if they had just come off the battlefield together. Her soft voice and gentle touch sent shivers down his spine, the warmth of her affection filling him with emotions he couldn't quite explain.
When they finally separated, Ahsoka smiled happily at Rex, the corners of her eyes crinkling softly, showing that she was no longer that young ex-padawan, but a grown woman working for the Rebellion.
He smiled widely in return, gazing softly at her with an admiration he thought he'd lost. He couldn't help but wonder how much time had really passed since they'd last met. Despite her growth from young padawan to a mature young woman, she still held that same youthful charm that captivated his heart. His blue eyes remained fixated on her smiling face, taking in every detail of her beauty and warmth. The two shared an understanding that transcended any amount of time.
"So, are you going to invite me in or are we going to stay out?" With a teasing smile spreading across her lips, Ahsoka raised an eyebrow in question.
He chuckled softly at her comment, taking a step back from her to let her in. His eyes never wavered from hers, still amazed by how she'd become a vibrant, mature woman. Her sarcastic sense of humor made him smile and reminded him of how much he had actually missed her. He stepped aside as she entered his humble home.
"It's cozy, I don't think we've ever had anything like this, even back in the days of the Republic'' Ahsoka commented, entering Rex's house, her blue eyes taking in the room, it was small but comfortable, somehow it was exactly how she imagined it would be.
Rex chuckled under his breath, remembering all the times he'd heard people say the same thing. His home was a simple place, small but cozy, decorated with a few trinkets and memorabilia from their time in the Clone Wars. But no matter how simple it was, its warmth was undeniable. He felt proud of what he had become, a simple man living a simple life. There was something about keeping his home simple and humble that felt right, like he was carrying on a tradition from his days as a clone.
"You kept this" Ahsoka murmured softly, looking at the photo of her, Anakin and Rex together after one of the missions, they were hugging each other, Anakin in the middle of them, putting his arms on their shoulders. Smiling, she ran her finger over the younger Rex's silhouette in his blue and white 501st gear.
A small smile grew on Rex's face as he saw what photo she was referring to. That photo had been taken after one of their hardest battles in the Clone Wars, where they had almost lost their lives. Anakin had pulled them together into a tight embrace, all the while flashing his mischievous grin. Ahsoka's finger tracing down his younger self brought back a surge of memories that he thought he had forgotten. His eyes turned toward the horizon, reliving events of their past in a blur.
"You know, one of the only things I miss about the war was us all being together" Ahsoka softly admitted, taking a moment to withdraw her finger away from the younger Rex's photo and carefully tracing his buzz-cut blonde hair on the holopad.
Ahsoka's words caused a bittersweet sensation to wash over him, as he struggled to suppress the wave of emotions that came with it. He missed having those connections as well. Those times they shared together as a trio, where nothing seemed to hinder the bond of brotherhood they had built. The days of the Clone Wars were behind them now, but that didn't stop him from longing for those times. Their lives now were different; they had new roles, new tasks that had to be completed. Still, something in him longed for a return to those days.
Ahsoka finally let go of the photo, lifting her fingers to wipe away the single tear that ran down her face. Rex noticed the tear that slid down her cheek and felt his heart tighten with worry. He walked alongside her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder in a comforting gesture to let her know that he was there. It was a sad reminder of how much they had both endured, and while they had survived, there were things that still hurt. He held her close, hoping that his presence would be enough to provide her with some form of solace. He never wanted to see her upset again, especially when he could do something about it.
Ahsoka tenderly rested her head on Rex's chest, her blue eyes remained fixed on the picture that hung on the wall. She closed her eyes and whispered, "Thank you," closing her eyes as she let Rex's embrace sink her in.
He gently rubbed her back, his hand moving up and down in circular movements to soothe her. The warmth of her body melted away his tension, bringing peace to his mind and soul. As her head rested against his chest, he took in a deep breath, letting their hearts resonate as one. The beating of her heart was like the music of the force, a beautiful melody that brought harmony to the universe. With a single glance, he was reminded once again of why he had fought for her, and why he would fight for her still.
"I blame myself for not finding you sooner" Shrugging into Rex's arms, Ahsoka muttered as they turned to face each other.
Her words brought a small smile to his face, as he was glad she couldn't see the shame that he'd harbored for so long. He regretted being apart for so long, a sense of guilt that he never knew how to shake off. But being around her now reminded him that nothing was truly lost. He could finally begin to heal the wounds in his heart, as he took in the sight of her beautiful smiling face.
"I think I always knew somehow that you were alive, I just never had the courage to go after it" With her palm lightly brushing his white bearded cheek, Ahsoka confided, raising her eyes to meet his. "I think I knew that if I found you, I wouldn't be able to let you go," she said.
Her words brought a wave of emotions through him, as he smiled gently and leaned into her touch. Her fingers grazing along his cheek made him recall the countless days they spent together, bonding through their shared struggles and victories. It was strange how she could stir up such intense nostalgia with only a few words and gestures. Her gentle caress made him feel safe and secure, like he wasn't alone anymore. He felt her warmth and kindness wash away the pain of his past, leaving behind only comfort and warmth.
Ahsoka leaned forward, resting her forehead against his, their breaths finding a calm rhythm as they closed their eyes and allowed the wave of emotions to wash over them.
He inhaled sharply as their foreheads connected, their eyes remaining closed as their breaths synced in perfect harmony. He couldn't help but think just how much he had missed this. It seemed like they could remain locked in this moment forever. The world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them together in the quiet serenity of this moment. Ahsoka smelled like home to him, like the safety and security he had lost long ago was restored by her presence.
"There wasn't a day that I didn't think about you" Ahsoka murmured against his lips, their breath mixing due to their proximity.
His eyelids fluttered as he felt the warmth of her breath caress his lips. This was the feeling he had yearned for so long. The sensation that had caused him so much grief was now something he cherished deeply. The way their breath mingled, becoming intertwined as if their souls were connected. He couldn't help but be reminded of how much he had missed her. This moment was priceless.
With a flawless rhythm, "Rex" Ahsoka whispered his name, causing his heart to race in his chest. Her hand was still stroking his white beard.
He felt her soft words echo in his ears, causing sparks of feeling to race through his body. His heart fluttered in his chest, as he suddenly found it difficult to resist the overwhelming urge to close the distance between them. His eyes remained closed, his lips trembling slightly as he tried to remain strong. In that moment, he knew he had never wanted anything more than to hold her.
"I... can i kiss you?" Ahsoka asked in a whisper, her voice might be shaky, but the sparkle in her eyes was confident, as if she wanted nothing more than to join her lips with his
The world seemed to have come to a standstill as her words reached his ears. He opened his eyes slightly, gazing into her blue eyes and seeing a fiery determination that left no room for doubt. They had been so close to that moment before, and he didn't want it to slip away again. His body moved instinctively, as if it knew exactly what he wanted, his body closing the gap between them in a heartbeat.
It felt like fireworks had gone off all around them when their lips connected, yet all they could focus on was the delicate sensation of their lips moving in ethereal synchronicity.
His lips met hers, their lips locking in a moment of pure bliss. The sensation of their touching felt so natural, like every fiber of his being was connected to hers. Their lips pressed softly together, their breath mingling as they shared in a tender moment so pure that words couldn't describe its beauty. In that moment, they could have stayed there forever, their hearts beating as one, their minds as one.
Her body was so close to his that he could feel every breath against his body, the warmth of her lips leaving him speechless. He savored the feelings of intimacy as their bodies leaned into each other's, their lips pressing together over and over again while the joy of being reunited washed over them. The taste of her lips was so familiar and nostalgic, but yet so satisfying. Their connection was effortless, as if both of them could read each other's emotions in the moment. Their hearts were finally connected, no longer separated by the shadows of the past.

i think i figured out why i hate live action Ahsoka other than my dislike of Rosario Dawson
Tumblr media Tumblr media
its the eyes. they look wrong.
in fact thinking about it i think that's my main issue with a lot of the cartoon turned live action characters. their eyes always seem off. they have to give them real portions and since the human face is usually the standard it's never translated well.
like consider Kit Fistso. he looks fucking horrendously scary live action
Tumblr media
while in cartoon form hes fucking hot

Screams. Blood. Smoke.
Ruins. Pleading. Blaster fire.
Fear. Panic. Pain.
Lightsabers swinging through the air. Lifeless bodies lying on the ground. Her old home falling apart.
Ahsoka woke up with her eyes wide open. Her entire body was drenched in sweat, her limbs shaking incessantly and her heart beating so loud and fast it could be heard at the other end of the galaxy. She tried to push the images in her mind aside. She had not been there when it had happened. She didn't know what had actually happened, she only knew the reports from the holonews. And yet her visions seemed so real. No, her nightmares, not visions. If they were visions, it would mean that it had actually happened that way and she could never accept that. She didn't want to accept it.
She swung her legs over the side of the bed and sat up straight. Her elbows rested on her thighs as she buried her face in her hands. One night. Just one night without nightmares. That was all she wanted, but it seemed to be denied to her. She was massaging her temples when she heard a soft knock on the door of her cabin.
"Come in."
The door opened and Rex entered, but stopped near the door, unsure whether to step closer to her or not. Her gaze rested unceasingly on him as she waited for him to say something. He seemed unsure of what to do now, so after a few long moments of silence, Ahsoka spoke up first.
"What do you want, Rex?"
"I... I thought you had...," Rex took a deep breath. He had hesitated to come here and now that he was here, he didn't know if it had been the right decision "I heard you screaming in your sleep. At first, I thought I was imagining it, but then I heard it again. I just wanted to check to see if you were alright."
Ahsoka's shoulders slid down. No, she wasn't okay, but could she tell him that? After all, it was Rex. If she could tell anyone it was him. But how could she even explain? Her head was full of words and it felt like a thousand voices were screaming in her head, yet she couldn't get a single word out. All she could do was shake her head weakly.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She shook her head again. At the same time, she felt tears rolling down her cheeks. But this did not bother her. It was not the first time Rex had seen her cry. In fact, the two had seen each other cry more than once, since Order 66 happened.
In the corner of her eye, Ahsoka saw Rex sit down next to her. The next thing she noticed was him gently placing his hand on hers. She didn't know why, but that little touch made her feel a little bit better right away. She was not alone. Even if she had lost everything else, she still had him. She moved her head a little to the side and leaned it against Rex's shoulder. Without thinking about it, she spoke.
"Stay."
It was only one word and yet so much more. Ahsoka knew she wouldn't sleep a minute without him by her side. He was her anchor. Made her forget all the terror for a few rare moments. Calmed her. And Rex knew that too.
"I'm here."
Here. In her room.
But not only that.
Here. With her.
For the first time that night, Ahsoka actually relaxed. He would not leave her. Not just this night, but for as long as she needed him and for as long as he needed her.
__________________________
Loud footsteps in the corridors of the Jedi Cruiser.
Helmets with her own facial markings. The mark of their loyalty.
Maul's eyes glittering with hatred.
The screams of the clones. Some screamed as they tried to catch her. Others had realized that their own death was inevitable.
As she had so many times before, Ahsoka was jolted from her sleep by a nightmare. But by now she didn't have to wait for Rex to come into her room to calm her down.
She turned to the side to get a better view of the rest of the room. Not far from her was a second bed. It wasn't supposed to be here, but after her nightmares got worse, she and Rex had decided it would probably be best if he slept in the same room as her.
At first it had actually helped. His presence seemed to calm her down, as did his words and often the smallest of touches. But then there were nights like this. Nights when the nightmares took over, took possession of her, devoured her until there was nothing left of her but panic.
Even though panic threatened to overwhelm her in these nights, it always calmed her to know that Rex was not far away. Most of the time he woke up by himself anyway. Sometimes because his own nightmares kept him awake. Sometimes because she was screaming in her sleep. A few times she had even called him unconsciously with the help of the Force.
That night, he was at her side again. She didn't know whether he had already been awake or whether she had woken him. But at that moment it didn't matter. What mattered was that he was there now, holding her and whispering to her that it had all been a nightmare and that she was safe. It wasn't the first time he had done that and they both knew it wouldn't be the last either.
"Do you think it will ever stop? I mean the nightmares."
"I don't know," his hand stroked her lekku as it spoke, "But it will happen less often, I'm sure of it. And then one day, maybe they'll be gone altogether."
"It doesn't feel like it happens less often."
"It will. I promise."
Ahsoka felt him hug her tighter and pull her closer. She turned her head a little, as if she wanted to bury her face in his chest. The only thing she was aware of at that moment - and wanted to be aware of - was Rex. His heartbeat, his smell, his breath, his touch. All her senses were focused on him. Slowly, Ahsoka felt herself begin to relax. Her muscles no longer tensed, her tears lessened, her eyes closed and she fell asleep in his arms.
____________________________
3. 9. 14. 21. 26. 30.
Thirty-four.
Thirty-four bodies.
That's how many they had recovered. How many were still in the wreck?
They died because of her.
Without her, they would still be alive.
Again, she woke up in a cold sweat. The first thing she noticed was Rex's arm wrapped around her waist. Immediately her heartbeat, which had been racing up to that point, slowed down again.
Her nightmares had not stopped as she had hoped and it so happened that Rex was now no longer sleeping in a bed next to hers, but next to her in her bed. Just a few weeks ago this would have been unthinkable to her, a boundary she would never cross, but by now it felt so normal. It felt right, as if it was always meant to be.
At first, he had only held her in his arms after she had a nightmare, but now they fell asleep arm in arm almost every night. His head rested between her montrals and her back against his chest. Even if her nightmares never completely disappeared, Ahsoka noticed that they were much less frequent since the two of them slept next to each other this way. Could it even be wrong if it felt so right?
As her thoughts circled, she felt the movements of his hand. He was slowly stroking along her side, drawing little circles on her belly. Now she knew he was awake too. Ever since he had found out that these circular movements calmed her, he touched her in this way every time she felt worse again. Ahsoka closed her eyes and leaned her head back a little.
They lay like that for a while without either of them saying a word. Then Ahsoka turned around facing him. His hand moved from her waist to her back lek as she leaned her face against his chest. When they lay there like that, Ahsoka sometimes forgot everything else. She didn't remember the past. She didn't think about her current problems. She didn't worry about the future. In those moments, her world wasn't broken. It was perfect.
She had often thought about why it was Rex, of all people, who caused this feeling in her. At first, she thought it was because he was all she had left. Her last connection to the life she had lost. But that wasn't it. Even during the war, she had always been calmest around him. She had felt safe. Only back then, situations like this had never happened. As a Jedi, she could never have done such a thing. Especially not with her captain. A relationship like this was forbidden for any Jedi. Then again, what kind of relationship was it that the two of them had anyway?
They were friends. Good friends. Very good friends. Rex was currently the most important person in her life. And she knew she was that for him too. But was there something more? So far, she had always forced herself to think of something else when that thought came up. There were no more rules forbidding it, but still she didn't know if she should give in to these feelings. What if he didn't feel that way? There was no way she could risk their friendship.
But what if he felt the same way? A warm tingle spread through her stomach at the thought of that. She moved her head a little to look at him. Their faces were only inches away from each other. As she had so many times before, Ahsoka felt like she was sinking into the warm gold of his eyes, which – just like his entire attention – were focused only on her.
"Rex?"
"Yes?"
"I...," she hesitated, unsure how to tell him. Should she even tell him? How would he react?
"I'm glad you're here."
I'm glad you're in my life. I'm glad we're friends. You are probably the best thing that has ever happened to me and will ever happen to me. There is no one I would rather be with than you. When we're together, I feel safe. I feel snug. I feel at home. In your presence, I feel things I've never felt before. When you hold me, I wish you would never let me go. In those moments, only the two of us exist and I don't want to feel anything but you. Not even my connection to the Force feels as strong as the connection I feel to you in moments like these. Any insecurity, any worry, any fear that I might otherwise feel disappears because in those moments there is only one very clear certainty: I love you.
There were a thousand more things she wanted to say, but none of them left her lips. Her heart hammered as she waited for his response.
"I will always be here."
For a moment her heart stopped, only to continue beating even faster. A small smile showed on her face. She was still so lost in his eyes that she didn't even notice how his hand had moved from her back to her face. It was only when his thumb brushed her cheek that she noticed the change. Surprised, her eyes darted to his finger on her face. He had never touched her like this before. Why now?
When her eyes looked back into his, she knew the answer. He looked at her with that look that made any words superfluous, for she knew what he wanted to say. It were the words she had not dared to say either. Her gaze left his for a moment to look at his lips. When she looked back into his eyes she knew he had noticed.
Slowly, inch by inch, their faces drew closer. She closed her eyes as his lips touched hers. It felt soft and warm. Her lips tingled at the touch. But before she could think about it in more detail, the touch was gone. She opened her eyes and saw him watching her, unsure if she wanted him to continue or not. In response, she reached out to pull his face closer to hers again.
Their lips met again, but this time neither of them broke the kiss. Ahsoka snuggled closer to him as their kiss intensified. His arms were wrapped tightly around her, holding her close. Her hands moved to the top of his head and dug into his hair. Later she couldn't remember how long they lay there like that or when they stopped, but it didn't matter. All that mattered at that moment was Rex. For weeks she had longed for this kiss, but no matter what she had imagined, nothing came close to reality. Never had she imagined it would feel so good. She concentrated on the warmth emanating from him and completely gave in to his touch.

Red String of Fate -
We are one with the force, the force is with us (Rexsoka)
Hello everyone!
Welcome to the Soulmate AU for my all-time favourite Star Wars characters created by Dave Filoni ship fanfiction of my dreams!
I hope you enjoy!
Part 1
The Meditation (Ahsoka)
Jedi temple on Coruscant,
Seven years before the battle of Christophsis
“Some claim, that the Force, while it connects every breathing, living thing in this universe by nature, also bounds people by fate. People who are destined to meet and to build a deep connection, to learn from each other, grow with each other and to love each other… Some people even say that these people are connected by a red or golden string, invisible to the eye but tied around their little fingers, creating an unbreakable bond. The force works in mysterious ways, never underestimate the Force and it’s will. As Jedi knights we have to learn to listen to the Force, to live in it and to use it to help this galaxy!”
Ahsoka listened in awe to what Jedi Master Cytzuné Zkalley told her and the other younglings in the room.
And while Master Zkalley had already moved on to the next topic (“How to use the force to determine someone’s life force and how to uplift and heal it”) was Ahsoka still thinking about the red tie that was supposedly attached to her finger.
She had no doubt that it was there. Sometimes, she had felt an odd pull at her pinky finger, when she was meditating and very relaxed. It had only been faint and she had not thought much of it back then in these moments but now she understood everything!
Of course the thread had been pulled from the other side (whoever it was), of course she would feel it! How exciting!
Ahsoka liked the thought of having a person who the Force had decided, that they should belong with her in a way.
‘Connection to others is what makes us strong’ was she always told since she came to the temple, so it made sense that sometimes it would be decided that there is a special person for a special bond.
Ahsoka inspected both of her hands closely but couldn’t find any trace of the thread.
She reached out into the force, tried to feel it there but there was nothing really. How odd.
Well, maybe it was the will of the Force to not always find it, maybe it would only be revealed in special moments or when she was physically close, or perhaps mentally close, to the person on the other side of the thread.
It became a habit for Ahsoka in the coming years to reach for the thread around her little finger in the Force and sometimes she would feel it. Sometimes it tugged or pulled, sometimes she pulled at it just to feel the resistance of the unknown other side and sometimes it was just there. She found comfort in it’s existence and in dark nights during training trips to cold, unfriendly, remote planets she was feeling better deep down in her soul to know that there was a person somewhere in this galaxy on the other end of the string, that they were connected no matter their physical distance and a lonely, exhausted night was suddenly not so lonely anymore.
And after the Clone Wars broke out she felt the pulling and tugging more often, even without reaching out into the Force and focusing on it. Surprisingly she never really thought much of what this could mean about who was on the other side.
Her training and her studies kept her busy, she did not have much time to dwell on the string, when she was still struggling to learn everything that was expected of her.
And then she got the call that she was chosen to become Master Obi-Wan Kenobi’s padawan!
Finally!
Or too soon?
Was she ready?
Yes, she definitely was ready!
Ahsoka could not wait to meet her new master, to fight in the war that she had only heard about in theory and on rare occasion was she and other younglings allowed to join conferences and strategy meetings.
She was sure that this is what she wanted to do!
And she wanted to meet the clones. She had only seen them from afar, in the senate or on the streets of Coruscant but she had been close enough to feel them slightly in the Force.
They all looked the same, of course, but in the Force they all felt different.
She had not felt too much, but what she felt had been determination, courage, loyalty and individuality, in the Force were they all unique. She was convinced that she would feel even more when she would be closer to them.
She never questioned why she was already so fond of the soldiers of the Great Army of the Republic, tho.
It was the night before her departure to Christophsis, tomorrow she would be a padawan and soon a Jedi knight!
She tried to sleep but excitement and maybe also some fear (that she would never admit!) kept her awake and when tossing and turning did not brought her any closer to sleep she began to meditate.
Closing her eyes, she let her mind wander off to a calm, empty place, there was nothing but the living force around her and bright fog that was swirling in pirouettes on the horizon.
It was dancing and spiralling around in all the colours of the universe, some light and friendly, some dark and unwelcoming and there were even swirls so dark, so evil that she prayed, that they wouldn’t come any closer. When she suddenly saw herself standing there, looking in the distance, a hand rose to cover her eyes from an invisible sun and a red string was tied around her vision’s self little finger.
The string was glowing golden from within, a warm, friendly light and it lay on the ground, reaching far into the fog and Ahsoka could not see it’s end as it suddenly started to move.
From the bright fog that was dancing far away on the horizon exited a figure made of light, of all the friendly colours in the universe but the most prominent colour was a rich blue.
The person seemed to be broad, taking big confident steps and appeared to carry something under their arm, something rounded and slightly bulky. As the light figure came closer to her vision self saw Ahsoka that it was where her string ended. Tied around the little finger of the light figure was the other end of the string!
She watched as her vision self took a few steps to greet the person that had come from the fog, she extended her hand towards them and as the light person grabbed her hand and as their fingers intertwined turned the blue and the white light into white armour pieces with blue markings and a black clothed hand…
Fingers curled around each other, tenderly and yet absolutely confident in their love, and the red string, that was now prominently shorter than it had ever been before was pulsating with energy, it even felt like a melody. A melody that Ahsoka could only hear deep within her heart and not with her ears.
Suddenly they were voices, maybe her own but older and a male voice, and shadows of images around the Vision-Ahsoka and the figure of light.
‘Find him, Fives…’
‘Then I’ll definitely outrank you!’
‘I have to sort this out on my own!’
‘You are a good soldier…’
‘It’s good to have you back, Commander!’
‘I could be there in two rotations…’
Ahsoka awoke with a scream of a name on her lips that was gone as soon as she came back to her senses.
She was laying on the floor, where she had sat down to meditate, she must have fallen asleep, her whole body was cold, sore and stiff.
Groaning, she pushed herself up from the floor and stretched out her arms and legs and checked the time. She had still three hours left until she would be picked up to fly to meet her new master and to bring supplies to Christophsis.
She climbed into her bed, wrapped herself tightly into her blanket and as she drifted off to a unruly sleep was she still hearing her own older voice and the stranger’s voice.

I saw your post about being impassive over most ships and I just wanted to ask your thoughts about those who ship Ahsoka with Rex. I personally don't like it because of the age gap. I also read your Plo Koon / Wolffe ship, can I ask more details on the appeal behind it?
Yes, yes, yes! Hello, Nonnie ♥
I am indeed impassive to all ships as long as it's non-predatory (pedophilia) and is consensual on both ends.
Personally, I see Ahsoka and Rex as siblings mainly because Ahsoka grew up with them in a sense. But I am not oblivious to the relationships that blossom overtime as well as the blurred line of 'grooming' — a perfect example would be (if you watch anime) Sesshoumaru and Rin!
If you haven't, it's about a dog demon who resurrects this child and they were such good companion through the entire original anime series and in the new Yashahime (spin-off of sorts), she gives him twins and just goes through a new story altogether.
I have my thoughts about it RexSoka and my example, but I also have the choice to indulge and not. I have the choice to skip posts that are RexSoka, I have the choice to block that tag, and more as much as I have the choice to politely decline someone who wants to thot-converse with me over it without unfriending them. I'm sure we'll have more ships to go over.
But then again, don't Togrutas age slower than humans since their alien species and Rex, like the clones, have speed aging? Then again, there's the matter of mentality. I guess it depends on the AU and if people want to keep it canon but ship them together, then... Who am I to stop them, yeah?
At the end of the day, it's fiction. If they need a safe space to ramble their ship even though I lean a bit away from it, my inbox is and DM is still available. I just may not be fully engaged but I will listen and converse.
BUT, I do draw the line if there is any indication that this fascination applies to the real world. If they start talking about lusting for a minor, I don't think I have in me to continue.
Tumblr media
So yes, keep it fiction and search your company maybe. Those who share the same ship. Mind your limits and level of thirst maybe. Do a itty bitty bit of reflecting on where to draw the line and we're all good.
I will rb for the Ploffe part :D ♥

Hey wonderful writers! I have an idea for a fanfic, but I'm not a writer. If anyone is having writer's block, and interested in a general plot idea; hit me up.

cody, padmé, and rex: *discussing something that's probably important*
cody, padmé, and rex: *hears distant screaming and the sound of a lightsaber igniting*
cody: is that my jedi or your jedi?
*cue amused and slightly terrifying laughter*
padmé and rex, sighing: my jedi

I'm just gonna leave this here 🤗
"Do you think it hurt?" The question had been eating Wolffe alive, ever since he had deserted the Empire and realised what he did.
Rex turned to him, "Did what hurt, Wolffe?"
"The general..." Wolffe couldn't bring himself to say anymore, as he felt the bitter bile stir in his stomach.
"No," Rex tried to sound reassuring, tried to sound like everything will be alright when it ultimately won't and will never be, "I think it was quick, painless."

Rex meets R4 once he's somewhat recovered from his 200 years of dying-not-dying in the vacuum of space. I cannot wait for you all to read @dharmaavocado's The Old Guard AU fic they wrote for the @rexobibang!
If I Ever Leave This World Alive
Out in the vast well of space, Obi-Wan dreamed a man. He drifted from system to system, eternal and endless. Time and the cold had rendered the durasteel shackles around his wrists and ankles weak and brittle, and he had snapped them at some distant point in the past. Arms and legs free, he curled inward, knees drawn up to his chest. The man died. And then he lived. In which Obi-Wan and Rex may never leave this world alive.
Check out the other fantastic art pieces by @flowerparrish HERE and HERE and by @inqorporeal HERE !!
