El Parque Nacional de Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici es un paisaje espectacular situado en el corazón de Cataluña. Alberga una gran cantidad de especies vegetales y animales, entre las que destaca el famoso oso pardo de los Pirineos. 

Es uno de los parques nacionales más espectaculares de España y se encuentra ubicado en Cataluña, en el Valle de Bohí.

Tiene una superficie de 45 kilómetros cuadrados entre valles, ríos y cimas.

When in need go to the forest and find yourself a tree to hug 🙃🌲 — as crazy as it may sound. • I saw this enormous pine tree on my last trip to the mountains, what a beauty! • When you're out there in nature suddenly your problems seem so small, just love disconnecting to get a totally different perspective on things in life. • Tree-hugging may sound a little strange and/or not cool, but go and try it for yourself. Doesn't matter what others may think 🙃 I read that hugging a tree increases levels of hormone oxytocin responsible for feeling calm and emotional bonding. In Iceland they even urged people to hug trees during the quarantine to overcome the sense of isolation and loneliness. TBT to this very same day 3 years ago at the Aigüestortes National Park. Ibones

All along the beautiful ups and downs of the Pyrenees, there are ibones: Pools of refreshing fresh water trapped by the rocks.

Not only do they offer a much-needed refueling station for drinking water, but they also make for great pictures, mirroring the mountains and clouds beyond.

But most importanly given the trail's heat, exhaustion and sweat, they constitute paradisical oases to refresh for a quick dip. Sí, son un poco frescos.

Without shame I will frequent a quick strip and jump in. Water temperatures vary strongly from refreshing to blizzard. The best strategy is to jump in and instantly swim forward. This way I enjoy about 20 seconds of pure joy before noticing that I need to return to shore instantly to avoid clinical death. In some ibones I do proudly endure a few minutes.
