little bit of personal stuff about us, 1st encounter with "Kilroy was here" in either in stuff about World War II or in Calvin & Hobbes when Calvin made a giant snowman one. Kids in school would draw Kilroys, & our maternal grandpa drew them for mom when she was young. Realized yesterday that the spelling of Aileron's name was perfect for doing a transformer equivalent and so naturally the first continuity we put "Aileroy was here" in was IDW2019 (we will be doing more). We chose this continuity both because of what the Autobots and Decepticons' opposed ideologies were and fought over, and because its nice to think that Greenlight or Arcee drew her because they knew her well, or that their mentee Gauge was thinking of her or she had become memetic among the Autobots in a good way. The issue the art we graffitied on is from IDW2's Transformers #40 btw, we will be doing more in other continuities and invite people to do this iteration of an over 80 years old meme themselves in other things!

Arcee/Aileron:

Almost all Transformers seen in the comics are at least a few hundred years old and Arcee is one of the oldest, having existed in ancient times in Transformers history. These two are the first Transformers to share a romantic 'on-screen/page' kiss and they're lesbians!

Arcee is old as fuck and known to most casual fans as "the girl one" so I think it's vv powerful of John Barber to make her a lesbian. Aileron I know less about but she's extremely tired and has beef with optimus. Both are several million years old

on a lighter note a friend of ours is almost done reading idw1 and we were talking about the buildup to aileron/arcee, and we were thinking back on the time apart in the middle of OP and realized that even those arcs built towards them understanding and appreciating each other, and she commented that they see what they're missing when they're apart. and its just so lovely. we love it. sorry for the heavy post yesterday we just needed to talk about what came up.

If I had a nickel for everytime the IDW Transformers comics paired a transgender lesbian with a girl two-thirds her size, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

listen i love mtmte and its rampant homosexuality. u know this, friends. but john barber did NOT give aileron and arcee a FULL PAGE for the first gay kiss on page or screen in TF history for everyone to give mtmte credit for that instead. john barber made sure that moment got a whole damn page and we RESPECT HIM for it
