it’s really wild to me how so many people just ignore everything about her?? yes, she’s a victim of bad writing. to an extent, they all are. it’s one thing to nitpick certain things about her character (the way i do with hotch), but the difference between her and the rest of the cast is that when you take away everything unlikable about jj, you’re left with… nothing?? which is why i genuinely dont understand how fanon jj is supposed to be any better. like babe what else is there?? cheetos???

reid i think is a close second when it comes to bad writing (something i also rarely hear people talk about). but, unlike jj, even if you strip him of every shitty thing the writers gave him, there’s at least a little something to project on. another white autistic twink, but rep nonetheless. and its way easier to tease out queer subtext. but what’s left of jj?? sorry im not blonde but literally nothing about her is relatable in the slightest. she’s just a robotic, lifeless, white-feminist figure, dripping with privilege and entitlement
