I think the thing is they haven't really written any romance stories in Fate

Sakurai just has, like...Byrnhild and Sigurd. I think I'd have to read Fragments of Sky Silver to really know what her deal is and how she's written, since ever since Summer they've been mostly written for comedy. I do think Lostbelt 2 shows Sakurai can write women interestingly, but I don't know much about romance.

and Minase has...Galatea, I guess? If you count that as his thing? He definitely wrote her event, since it's just about otaku bullshit

In a way the most interesting thing is that it's basically just Nasu and Higashide writing romance that doesn't involve the MC self-insert. And if you count the romances where they're both in FGO, it's basically only Higashide. Orion and Artemis? Jason and Medea? Siegfried and Kriemhild? Konstantinos and Johanna? Achilles and Atalante? Uh...Asterios and Euryale? Jeanne and Sieg? Medb and Cu (Alter)? Anastasia and Kadoc?

Okay, there's also Ryoma and Oryou and I don't know who wrote Cleopatra. But it is just pretty funny how much only one writer contributes to the amount of hetero romances in this franchise.
