hello there!

my life is finally calming down and i am so excited to continue my writing journey here with all the Halo fanfic ideas i’ve started and have been kicking around!

logging in again and seeing all the love on my fics, Before the Fever especially, means so much to me.

as we all know, the Halo series has returned with season 2, and it’s looking pretty great so far! i can’t wait to gather more lore and ideas from it!!

aside of that, i’m still here, i still love Chief (and our girl Cortana), and i can’t wait to write again! Before the Fever is definitely far from finished and i’m so excited to get back to it— see you guys around and feel free to request fics if you’d like!

I know it’s been years now but I never consider a fic abandoned. I’m sure one day I’ll pick it up again. i just wanted to pop in and say i am so sorry for being so far removed from tumblr lately! my real life has been so busy and things have picked up more than i expected without slowing down at all. i haven’t finished Before the Fever yet, and i still have no intention of abandoning it! things have just been crazy (i am still very much on the Halo train irl, game and series wise lol). i will definitely get to it, and the other WIPs i have again soon, but for the moment i am on a slight hiatus until i can find a good rhythm in the craziness lol.

that being said i do miss you guys and i can’t wait to be back writing and fawning over our faves again soon!!! also thank you for hanging in and still showing love on my fics, i still check in and see you guys, it means a lot!

you guys.

this weekend i went to the halo world championship and met jen taylor, steve downes, and martin o’donnell, and am so grateful to have been lucky enough to get their autographs and chat with them twice over the two days they were there. they’re so fucking sweet & kind, and hearing them say my name and hold actual conversations with me were the wildest things ever. i also happened to get a photo with the master chief in full armor— who was very much like 7’ tall lol. and of course pablo schreiber had a sweet message for all of the competitors and fans who attended. 🖤

chief and cortana played games with the crowd and no matter how full the audience was it all still felt very personal and they listened to us. it all feels like a fever dream and i can’t even believe this weekend happened. a couple of times i was dreading it being over just because i didn’t want to go back to the real world!

watching the tournament was amazing, (go optic!!) playing the game with a bunch of other fans was incredible, seeing the cosplay contest and admiring the work and effort so many fans put into their characters was amazing. shooting the Feedler was so cute (and kinda hard???) and shooting the unreleased nerf Needler was another dream come true (let’s go Kai-125). i am still in awe of just how many people are as halo obsessed as we are out there lol. and that was just in one place!

i am on cloud nine (congrats to cloud9 too!) and just wanted to share with my fellow halo fans because i feel like people in my world outside of here just don’t get it lol. that is all. 🥲

i just wanted to check in and mention that i’m always working on the next chapters of Before the Fever, and i’m still working on spinning my Kismet one shot into a series too. i’m just waiting to post that one so i don’t burn myself out and leave anyone hanging on either story. 🥲 (also, any advice on if i should just add it to my one shot on ao3, or if i should start a whole new post once i’m ready?) In case you missed steamy chapter 13 of BTF, you can find it in my masterlist!

my life outside of here has been hectic, but will finally calm back down early/mid april, so i’ll be more consistent with posting again!

i’m still working on chapter 8 of Before the Fever! i just wanted to give a little update because i know i’ve slowed down in posting a tad. life has been full of weird emergencies and occurrences since last week but i’m still writing in between all the chaos and it should be out soon! it’s a longer chapter. but this series in general is one that will never be abandoned lol.
