WHO IS ASMA HAMZA ? WHY GOOGLE MADE HER DOODLE ?

Today, Google has honored Asma Hamza by making her a doodle. Asma Hamza, known as the “Queen of the Oud”, is the first female musician and oud player of Sudan.

Asma Hamza was the first Sudanese woman to receive formal training in playing the oud in 1946. She died on May 21, 2018 at her home in the city of Halfaya after a long struggle with illness.

Asma Hamza, on this day i.e. 17 July 1997, was declared the winner of the Lailat Alkadra Alkubra Music Competition in Sudan.

This victory contributed significantly to her career and she became very popular, along with it she also got a new identity in a traditionally male-dominated industry. His extraordinary talent and dedication has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the world of music.

About

Asma Hamza is Sudan’s first female musician and oud player who was born in 1936 in Halfayat al-Muluk, Sudan.

She was reputed to have composed many songs sung by many old and young singers such as Abdul Karim Al Kabali, Muhammad Mirghani, Abida Al Sheikh, Imad Ahmed Al Tayeb.

Asma was the only child of her parents. She had a keen interest in music since childhood and often used to whistle to the tune of songs.

Inspired by his talent, his father gifted him an instrument to learn singing, which looked like a veena but had a thinner neck and no frets.He studied at the Evangelical Deaf School.

Hamza had an amazing talent for learning songs and playing them in a loud voice. She used to play the instrument without any formal training.

But at that time in Sudan, it was not socially acceptable for women to take up music, yet they crossed these barriers and created a new record.

They were married in 1967. He also has a daughter Wefak and two granddaughters.

Career

Asma Hamza was a Sudanese distinguished female artist who was popular for her wonderful voice and talent in playing the oud.

She was influenced by great artists such as Umm Kulthum, Muhammad Abdel Wahab, Abdel Halim Hafiz and Shadia.

She worked in the Music Corps for 13 years, thanks to which Aziza Darwish, wife of the late journalist Mohammad Saleh Fahmi, goes to him.

Asma Hamza started her first journey in the world of music with the composition of Diwan Al-Mallah’s song “Ya Oouni” in 1948 for which she is reputed to be the first person to compose “Oouni”.

Asma’s musical career peaked in 1982 when she achieved great success in a short time by composing the song “The Good Time” by Sudanese poet Saif al-Din al-Dasuki while in the Sudanese Music Corps. This song was sung by Sudanese singer Sumaya Hassan.

He composed many tunes for talented Arab artists. Her compositions gained recognition and she became famous as one of Sudan’s leading female composers.

Luka hummed softly, writing out a song on a piece of paper. Once again he ended up finding himself writing a song for Alix. This had to be at least the 11th song he had made in her honor. He couldn’t help it anymore, almost all of his thoughts would constantly be consumed by her. Wether it be her laugh, smile, personality or her voice it never stopped echoing through his mind. He rested his chin in his hands, slipping into his thoughts and getting lost. Sass had an amused look on his face as he nommed on a hard boiled egg on his shelf. “Thinking about her again, Luka?” He spoke, a soft hiss in his tone. It wasn’t aggression, it was just the natural accent to his Kwami’s voice.

“Yeah..I love her so much.” He mumbled, a generous dusting of blush layered across his cheeks. He had a dreamy look in his eyes, staring a photo of both of them that he had taken on their first date together at the Louvre after hours. They spent time walking through the exhibits as Alix informed him on every artifact and art piece that was stored in the well known museum, enthusiasm filled in her voice that nearly made him melt into a puddle. She had been so excited just to share what made her happy and he been intrigued just hearing her info dump on him, allowing her to talk about what she loved. In return, she allowed for him to do the same and even try to teach her how to play a few instruments.

“You know, it’s quite common for snake and rabbit users to fall in love with each other.” Sass said softly, pausing for a moment, seemingly reminiscing over previous holders he may have had. Luka paused, blinking out of his daydreams. “Wait, really? I figured it would be uncommon since I’ve heard most users beside the cat and ladybug don’t interact and were even enemies.” Sass batted around the yolk in his small hands. “For other zodiac and second level miraculous, yes that was the case. We still don’t really know why. But the snake and rabbit seem to have a similar bond with each other compared to the ladybug and black cat miraculous. Soulmates, you could say.”

Luka’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Can you tell me about some past users then?!” He said excitedly. Sass made a slight grin. “A couple thousand years ago we had a memorable pair from the same time as the Ladybug who fought the original pharaoh. Which still someone manages to connect back to you since that snake user helped and the more recent pharaoh might be your brother in law one day.” The boy turned red at the thought, coughing slightly. “R-Right..” He mumbled, hiding in his sleeve. Sass chuckled. “Alkubra Almisria, the female snake holder and the male rabbit holder, Arnab Alsahra. Both were extremely clever. There’s a chance that Bunnix had even met Arnab before and just not realized it. Rabbit users can meet up in the burrow in a place called the hub. All rabbit users from alternate timelines and different time periods. I believe Bunnix is friends with a rabbit version of you know as Rockin' Rabbit.”

Luka leaned forward excitedly, his mind flickering briefly to a mental image of his girlfriend with his own miraculous that made him blush heavily. “That’s so cool..” Sass floated down to his level. “It’s been important for all of time that the rabbit and snake get along, if not become lovers. They balance each other and help one another. Them being enemies has never ended well.” Bunnix peeked out of a portal, her ears twitching lightly. “Ah, hello Alix. Did you hear all of that?” The girl nodded slightly, stepping over and nuzzling her face into her boyfriends shoulder from behind. “Good. I have some more to tell you both still.”

Bunnix stayed standing, her chin resting on her lovers shoulder now. “I need to warn you two. There’s a chance you will be akumatized soon. At the same time, and causing the end of the world.” Luka choked on his spit slightly, staring at his kwami in genuine concern and shock. “B-Both of us?!? Why?” Sass gave a small frown, watching the two young hero’s freak out at the thought of it. “Too much built up trauma and stress. Both of you need to relax a little bit. Alix, detransform please.”

The girl obeyed him, allowing her transformation to wear off, dressed comfortably in pajamas like her boyfriend. “You two, go lay down. Enjoy yourselves and watch a movie or something. Please.” Fluff nodded beside her holder, agreeing with her fellow kwami. Luka smiled softly, holding out his hand. Sass gently landed on it, looking up at his holder expectantly. “If we’re cuddling and watching a movie, you and Fluff are joining us because you work hard just like we do.”

Both kwami’s laughed, Fluff smiling as she relaxed on Alix’s chest when she laid herself down on Luka’s bed, sitting up slightly to gaze at the screen as her boyfriend cuddled into her side, his face in her neck. “Thought we were watching a movie?” Alix questioned softly, smiling as her lover relaxed beside her, his breathing calm. “Later..for now I just want to be near you for awhile.”

❌ Narrated from Jaabir رضي الله عنه that the Prophet ﷺ did not sleep until he had recited “Alif‑Laam‑Meem. The revelation…” [al-Sajdah 32] and “Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion…” [al- Mulk 67]

Narrated by at-Tirmidhi (2892) and others; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.

However it appears to be ma‘lool (problematic), as was stated by Ibn Abi Haatim, narrating from his father, in al-‘Ilal, 1668, and ‘Ilal ad-Daaraqutni, 13/340. al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar رحمه الله agreed with him, as it says in Ithaaf al-Mahrah, 3/155. He also said, after discussing its isnaad: Based on that, it is mursal or mu‘dal (i.e., not sound). End quote from Nataa’ij al-Afkaar, 3/267 

❌ Reported by an-Nasaa’i in as-Sunan al-Kubra (10547) and in ‘Aml al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah (711), and by Abu Taahir al-Mukhliss in al-Mukhlisiyyaat (228), via ‘Arfajah ibn ‘Abd al-Waahid from ‘Aasim ibn Abi’n-Nujood from Zirr from ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ood, who said:

“Whoever recites Soorah Tabaarak Alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion) [al-Mulk 67:1] every night, الله will protect him thereby from the punishment of the grave”, and at the time of the Messenger ﷺ we used to call it al-maani‘ah (that which protects), and that in the Book of الله there is a soorah, everyone who recites it every night has done a great deal and has done well –

The narration it mentions is a saying of Abdullah bin Masoud and not the Prophet's ﷺ.

Recorded in Sunan alKubra of Imam an-Nasai and it's not a saying of the Prophet ﷺ and it's inauthentic anyways.

Two narrators are problematic:

–its isnaad is layyin (weak). ‘Arfajah ibn ‘Abd al-Waahid is dubious, and no one regarded him as trustworthy. Al-Haafiz said in at-Taqreeb (389): He is acceptable, i.e., if there is any corroborating evidence, otherwise his hadeeth is layyin -

There is no corroborating evidence for ‘Arfajah’s version of this report with these additions. Rather he was contradicted by someone who is far more trustworthy than him, namely Sufyaan ath-Thawri *💫 (mentioned later ان شاء الله )

-Second problem is عاصم بن بهدلة who was a pious person and a reciter of the Quran. Yet, in hadith he wasn't strong and made mistakes. But even if his reports are accepted, عرفجة بن عبد الواحد aren't.

❌ There's a similar narration attributed to the Prophet ﷺ

Ibn Maajah, 3786, Abu Dawood (1400) and al-Tirmidhi (2891 – and he classed it as hasan) narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet ﷺ said:

إِنَّ سُورَةً مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ثَلاَثُونَ آيَةً شَفَعَتْ لِرَجُلٍ حَتَّى غُفِرَ لَهُ وَهِيَ سُورَةُ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ

“There is a soorah of the Qur’an, with thirty verses, that interceded for a man until he was forgiven; it is ‘Soorah Tabaarak Alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion)’ [al-Mulk 67:1].” It was also classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh at-Tirmidhi. 

Al-Tirmidhi said, this is a hasan hadeeth. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 22/277, and by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah, 3053. 

Recorded in Musnad Ahmed and Jami atTirmidhi both have the same reporters. However it's also weak because of the ambiguity (tadlis) of Qatadah and obscurity of Abbas al Joshami.

SO, NEITHER OF THESE TWO AHADITH CAN BE TAKEN TO BE SOLID AND ARE CONSIDERED SUSPICIOUS.

سورة النجم 62

وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ ( 1 )

Wannajmi itha hawa

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ ( 2 )

Ma dalla sahibukum wamaghawa

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ ( 3 )

Wama yantiqu AAani alhawa

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ ( 4 )

In huwa illa wahyun yooha

عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَىٰ ( 5 )

AAallamahu shadeedu alquwa

ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَىٰ ( 6 )

Thoo mirratin fastawa

وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَىٰ ( 7 )

Wahuwa bil-ofuqi al-aAAla

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ ( 8 )

Thumma dana fatadalla

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ ( 9 )

Fakana qaba qawsayni aw adna

فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ ( 10 )

Faawha ila AAabdihi maawha

مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰ ( 11 )

Ma kathaba alfu-adu maraa

أَفَتُمَارُونَهُ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ ( 12 )

Afatumaroonahu AAala mayara

وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ ( 13 )

Walaqad raahu nazlatan okhra

عِندَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنتَهَىٰ ( 14 )

AAinda sidrati almuntaha

عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَىٰ ( 15 )

AAindaha jannatu alma/wa

إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ ( 16 )

Ith yaghsha assidratama yaghsha

مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ ( 17 )

Ma zagha albasaru wamatagha

لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَىٰ ( 18 )

Laqad raa min ayatirabbihi alkubra

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّىٰ ( 19 )

Afaraaytumu allata walAAuzza

وَمَنَاةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الْأُخْرَىٰ ( 20 )

Wamanata aththalithataal-okhra

أَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الْأُنثَىٰ ( 21 )

Alakumu aththakaru walahual-ontha

تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَىٰ ( 22 )

Tilka ithan qismatun deeza

إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا أَسْمَاءٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُم مَّا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الْأَنفُسُ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ الْهُدَىٰ ( 23 )

In hiya illa asmaonsammaytumooha antum waabaokum maanzala Allahu biha min sultanin inyattabiAAoona illa aththanna wamatahwa al-anfusu walaqad jaahum min rabbihimu alhuda

أَمْ لِلْإِنسَانِ مَا تَمَنَّىٰ ( 24 )

Am lil-insani ma tamanna

فَلِلَّهِ الْآخِرَةُ وَالْأُولَىٰ ( 25 )

Falillahi al-akhiratu wal-oola

وَكَم مِّن مَّلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لَا تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ أَن يَأْذَنَ اللَّهُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيَرْضَىٰ ( 26 )

Wakam min malakin fee assamawatila tughnee shafaAAatuhum shay-an illa minbaAAdi an ya/thana Allahu liman yashao wayarda

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ الْأُنثَىٰ ( 27 )

Inna allatheena la yu/minoonabil-akhirati layusammoona almala-ikatatasmiyata al-ontha

وَمَا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا ( 28 )

Wama lahum bihi min AAilmin inyattabiAAoona illa aththanna wa-innaaththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqishay-a

فَأَعْرِضْ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّىٰ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا ( 29 )

FaaAArid AAan man tawalla AAanthikrina walam yurid illa alhayataaddunya

ذَٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ ( 30 )

Thalika mablaghuhum mina alAAilmiinna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu biman dalla AAan sabeelihiwahuwa aAAlamu bimani ihtada

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا بِالْحُسْنَى ( 31 )

Walillahi ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi liyajziya allatheena asaoobima AAamiloo wayajziya allatheena ahsanoobilhusna

الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ ( 32 )

Allatheena yajtaniboona kaba-iraal-ithmi walfawahisha illa allamama innarabbaka wasiAAu almaghfirati huwa aAAlamu bikum ithanshaakum mina al-ardi wa-ith antum ajinnatun feebutooni ommahatikum fala tuzakkoo anfusakumhuwa aAAlamu bimani ittaqa

أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي تَوَلَّىٰ ( 33 )

Afaraayta allathee tawalla

وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَىٰ ( 34 )

WaaAAta qaleelan waakda

أَعِندَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰ ( 35 )

aAAindahu AAilmu alghaybi fahuwa yara

أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ ( 36 )

Am lam yunabba/ bima fee suhufimoosa

وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّىٰ ( 37 )

Wa-ibraheema allathee waffa

أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ( 38 )

Alla taziru waziratun wizraokhra

وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ ( 39 )

Waan laysa lil-insani illa masaAAa

وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ ( 40 )

Waanna saAAyahu sawfa yura

ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الْأَوْفَىٰ ( 41 )

Thumma yujzahu aljazaa al-awfa

وَأَنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ الْمُنتَهَىٰ ( 42 )

Waanna ila rabbika almuntaha

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ ( 43 )

Waannahu huwa adhaka waabka

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا ( 44 )

Waannahu huwa amata waahya

وَأَنَّهُ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ ( 45 )

Waannahu khalaqa azzawjayni aththakarawal-ontha

مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ ( 46 )

Min nutfatin itha tumna

وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُخْرَىٰ ( 47 )

Waanna AAalayhi annash-ata al-okhra

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ ( 48 )

Waannahu huwa aghna waaqna

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَىٰ ( 49 )

Waannahu huwa rabbu ashshiAAra

وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَىٰ ( 50 )

Waannahu ahlaka AAadan al-oola

وَثَمُودَ فَمَا أَبْقَىٰ ( 51 )

Wathamooda fama abqa

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ ( 52 )

Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoohum athlama waatgha

وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ ( 53 )

Walmu/tafikata ahwa

فَغَشَّاهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ ( 54 )

Faghashshaha ma ghashsha

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ ( 55 )

Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbika tatamara

هَٰذَا نَذِيرٌ مِّنَ النُّذُرِ الْأُولَىٰ ( 56 )

Hatha natheerun mina annuthurial-oola

أَزِفَتِ الْآزِفَةُ ( 57 )

Azifati al-azifat

لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ ( 58 )

Laysa laha min dooni Allahi kashifat

أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ ( 59 )

Afamin hatha alhadeethitaAAjaboon

وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ ( 60 )

Watadhakoona wala tabkoon

وَأَنتُمْ سَامِدُونَ ( 61 )

Waantum samidoon

فَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ وَاعْبُدُوا ۩ ( 62 )

Fasjudoo lillahi waAAbudoo

Kebiasaan Beliau dibulan Ramadhan setelah sholat Taraweh selalu membaca Manaqib Sayyidah khadijah Alkubra dan Beliau pengarang Kitab Manaqib Sayyidah Khadijah Alkubra dengan judul Al-Bushra fi Manaqib Al-Sayyidah Khadijah Al-Kubra ( Kabar gembira tentang biografi sayyidah khadijah wanita yang agung ) ···· khusus bagi keduanya sayyidah Khadijah Alkubra dan As-Sayyid Muhammad bin Alawi Al-Maliki, Lahumul Fatehah . . .
