Headcanon that Steve is a good cook but never uses the right tools. He taught himself to cook out of necessity and ended up loving it because it’s a mindless activity that also provides; he still gets a lot wrong. Here he is making Eddie and Wayne a full Thanksgiving dinner and he’s using an omelette spatula to scrape pumpkin pie filling out of the bowl. Even Eddie knows that’s wrong…but he can’t do anything but beam as he watches Steve, tongue out in concentration, humming a top 40 song, kitchen towel over his shoulder, making him and his uncle and three course meal.

Yeto's Superb Soup
We made Yeto's soup!! This soup is full of love! And goat cheese! Highly recommend, astonishingly tasty -- warm, creamy, mild, soothing.
Makes about 6 servings.
In a large pot:
1 butternut squash (peeled & diced small)
1 large yukon gold potato or similar (diced larger)
1 yellow or white onion (diced fine)
smallish chunk of ginger (minced)
~4 cloves garlic (minced)
Large pinch of thyme
Dash of salt and pepper
Water to cover
Bring to a simmer and keep simmering 30min or until veg is soft.
Give it a heavy stir or whisk to break up the chunks; exact texture is up to you!
Add:
1 lb salmon fillet (skin off, chunks ~spoon size)
Simmer another 20min or so. In that time, add:
Generous splash or two of heavy cream
6oz or so plain goat cheese, broken up and stirred around so everything mixes
More salt & pepper to taste
This is basically a chowder and can definitely be adjusted to taste! We had it with garlic butter croutons and that was super tasty -- cannot overstate how shockingly delicious it is. Yeto was right, love is stored in the soup ♥

My own lil hc for the replicators is that they can only hold a certain amount of recipes but you can have a separate device to download recipes on that you can plug into the replicator and it’ll work on all of them (like a usb thing)
Which is great if you have a ton of allergies, or you know that whichever replicator you’re gonna be around aren’t gonna have too many recipes for your species, or even just if you like having certain comfort recipes (like you know at some point you’re gonna crave salmon), or like a common dish in every replicator always has unsalted butter but you prefer salted butter or something like that, etc etc etc
But everyone always forgets they can do that, they’re like “aw man :( guess I just have to deal with what’s already pre-coded into the replicator :((“

Obi-Wan: *helping plan Anakin and Padme’s anniversary vacation they’re all going on* Don’t worry, I got the brunch menus taken care of. I found five different types of sangria that I wanna try this weekend so I’m getting a fuckton of fruit and vodka. I don’t even think Fives will have any allergic reactions to any of these. Not like that time with the orange blossom honey that was apparently pollinated by an avocado tree.
Cody: I mean. I guess sangria doesn’t have as much alcohol as most, but considering it’s gonna be like nine in the morning, Imma tell you right now, whatever amount of vodka the recipe asks for, halve it.
Obi-Wan: It’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make but I will also be bringing twice as much wine to make up for it.
Cody: Lovely. And the food menu?
Obi-Wan: …I knew I was forgetting something there…
Rex: *patting Cody on the shoulder* He’s a keeper.
Cody: Yeah, I keep him indoors for everyone’s safety. Mostly alcohol poisoning.
Rex: Solid plan.

Roy uses Instagram almost exclusively to reply to Jamie's posts and stories with hate comments and lists of demands. This only starts after they start fucking so it's basically like he's commenting dozens of heart emojis and they both know it

Sad take but what if Anya has a growth spurt a few months after she's living with Loid and Yor, because she starts eating well? I can't imagine at the orphanage that she was fed anything remotely as good as what Loid prepares (I think even Yor's cooking is better than orphanage food, definitely more nutritious) & she starts growing more and more.
Yor takes her measurements every two weeks at night and morning and she realizes Anya has small growth spurts.
IMAGINE how Anya must've cried or been overwhelmed when she first tried out Loid's cooking because it was so much better than anything she ever had the luck to taste.

I understand that the game relies on crafting mechanics and all but the recipe for battery packs in Stardew Valley is sooo funny to me. Most mundane object that you'd think would jut be available at your local shop but no in order to get them you must harvest them from lightning rods. Which is weird enough on its own. But you make the lightning rods out of bat wings.
