2 TIMOTHY S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 3
Tuesday, 9/10/24
SCRIPTURE:
Every scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character, so that the person who belongs to God can be equipped to do everything that is good. ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17
OBSERVATION:
Every scripture...
...teaches me something - if I'll just pay attention...
...shows my mistakes - many I'm already aware of...
...gives me correction - if I'll just follow it, right?
...trains my character - if I'll just follow the regimen..
So I can be:
Equipped to do everything that is good...
Equipped to do everything that is good...
Equipped to do everything that is good...
APPLICATION:
Be teachable...
Learn from - quit repeating - my mistakes...
Accept correction...
Follow His training...
Be equipped...
PRAYER:
Loving Father God - I confess failing to learn from my mistakes and accepting correction in so many "little" things in my life, putting my wants and will before Your everything good You have for me in Your will - Thank You for Your Holy Spirit's continued patient correcting and teaching and equipping despite my selfishness, and may I see Your hand and direction in all that I do so that You might get the glory - In Jesus's Name and for Your praise and worship...
For Him... for y'all... for yours...

All Scripture is Given by Inspiration of God
Without the Old Testament (which includes Matthew, Mark, Luke & John), 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 would not make any sense, nor would it be understood by anyone: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 – “… HOW that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 2 Timothy 3:16All scripture is given by inspiration of God,…

Lolol sometimes it’s so funny reading peoples posts about “Mormon” theology that is based on Exmo stories, tradition/culture but not doctrine, and like random statements by some church leader 200 years ago that was not put into doctrine/canonized, or that he was corrected/reprimanded on, and all of us look back on like “well that guy was racist/sexist. Anyways moving on…” like tbh it just makes me laugh. Like I know our theology is a bit different than mainstream Christianity but y’all don’t need to make it sound like we are out here truly believing half the stuff you say about us.

Genesis 50:20 (NLT). “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”
Genesis 50:20 (ICB). “You meant to hurt me. But God turned your evil into good. It was to save the lives of many people. And it is being done.”
“All for Good” By Wendy Richmond:
“Sometimes when you are going through difficult things it’s hard to see the good. What good can come out of a bad situation? Surely that’s what Joseph was thinking. Things started out quite innocent. He was just a 17-year-old boy with a dream when his brothers threw him into a pit and then sold him into slavery.
For the next thirteen years, Joseph experienced one difficult situation after another. He was lied about, thrown into prison, and forgotten. But God’s favor was on Joseph and the Lord gave him a special ability to interpret dreams.
At the age of 30, Joseph was summoned from prison to interpret Pharaoh’s dream. Because God gave Joseph the ability to interpret the dream, he was made second in command in all of Egypt. Then the famine came.
Enter Joseph’s brothers. They came to Egypt looking for food and bowed down to Joseph just like they did in the dream he had as a youth. You would think Joseph would have been furious. They were the ones responsible for all his hardships. It was their actions that landed him in prison.
But instead of being angry, Joseph recognized the sovereignty of God. “You intended to harm me,” Joseph tells his brothers, “but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”
Even though God did not cause the difficulties in Joseph’s life, He used them for good and for His glory. You may not see the good right now but don’t lose hope. God turned things around for Joseph and He can turn them around for you.“
