A Roll Of The Dice by two_drama_nerds_in_a_boat | @homeworkforpigeons
Summary: Star Trek is an incredibly popular tabletop roleplaying game. Mostly gen with some Spirk at the end.
Word Count: 1822
Find this fic on AO3
Gliding through the stars would never get boring, he decided. Even at Warp Speed 9, with all the bright lights zipping past him so quickly they were nothing more than blurry spots in the sky, it was a simultaneously haunting and stunning sight. The Captain sighed, leaning back in his chair-
“Oh, do get on with it Jim,” muttered Hikaru from across the table, rolling dice between his fingers. “We don’t have all day.”
“But the monologues are important. For… character development.”
Nyota rolled her eyes. “Not when you spend an hour on them every turn. Besides, we already let you have the Captain’s Log thing. Now come on. I want to fight some hostile aliens.”
“Aren’t you supposed to stay on ship with Scotty in case things go wrong, Communications Officer?”
“Goddamit you two,” Bones said, fist slamming the table, sending papers fluttering and figurines toppling onto the board.  “We’ll never get anything done with the two of you fighting.”
“Come on Jim,” said Rand, shoving some dice into his hand. “Your. Turn.”
He looked at Spock, who just did that thing where he would raise only the one eyebrow, and sighed in defeat.
“Fine.”
He dropped the dice, watching them roll until they made their way a surprising distance from him, finally stopping by Scotty.
No one really knew how they’d all gotten together. Jim had to admit, they were an odd group.
In the end, they were all just sort of bored, and lonely, and they needed something to do after school. Originally, it had just been Jim and Bones. They took turns DMing, setting up short campaigns for the others to play, but it got incredibly boring very quickly. They got tired of it. They needed a permanent DM - so they’d found Spock, who, despite his attempt to put on mask of no emotion, seemed to take both happiness and pride in being Dungeon Master. And after that, everyone else had sort of fallen into place. Because once they had Spock, they at least a consistent location to play - his basement. Which, though still not ideal, was better than bouncing between Jim’s too-cramped (shared with his brother) bedroom and Bones’s tiny garden shed. So while Spock’s basement was a bit musty, it was honestly ideal, really, because though it was dark and sometimes damp, they made it their own. They had a little cooler with snacks and drinks it, and they’d put down a rug, and they had a little table, and every time a new person joined them they all went down to the local flea market as a group and helped pick out a chair for them, and ever so slowly the basement became theirs.
After Spock joined, Nyota was close behind him. She was new to their school that year, and she wanted friends, so she sought them out. She knew Spock through T’Pring, of course, and though Spock’s relationship with T’Pring was more than a bit strained, still, Nyota didn’t seem to mind. She wanted “Something amusing to do outside of school,” she’d said, something to “fill the time” and “make an afternoon more enjoyable.” A statement to which Jim had (nearly) replied with a few lewd, though somewhat humorous comments - though he did instead opt to stay quiet.  Somewhat due to Bones kicking him not-so-discreetly in the shin, telling him that “She won’t stay if you don’t play nice.”
And with Uhura came Rand, a new friend of hers, and with Rand came Chapel, a blonde girl Jim recognized from one of his science classes (he was taking a lot of those; it was one of the few things in school he actually enjoyed taking part in, and since he was on one of those advanced tracks, he was taking as many as possible) and it also drew a young Scottish kid, who was quickly nicknamed Scotty (because if you’re that goddam Scottish, James Tiberius Kirk is sure as hell going to give you some sort of nickname) and Scotty drew a kid named Hikaru, and Hikaru drew in the Russian exchange student, Pavel, and in some way or another, they managed to get together enough people to create a long-term campaign.
They named their ship the Enterprise, and decided on their mission: To explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life, and new civilizations. To boldly go where no one has gone before.
(That last bit used to be no man, but Nyota, Rand, and Chapel had all insisted that was at least a little bit sexist, and so they decided to change it to no one.)
The first time they’d all played a campaign on their own had resulted in some of the most fun Jim had in months. Spock DMed (of course) and they got to go down to a planet for shore leave and Scotty got with some prostitute (or planned to, at least) and then she was murdered and they all needed to work together to solve the mystery, and it turned out that the entity that had murdered the woman was actually Jack The Ripper (a reveal that had prompted many of them to ask Spock what exactly he was on when he wrote this) who was an immortal alien who basically ate fear.
“The crew of the Starship Enterprise is once more face to face with the hostile Klingons,” Spock said, hiding behind his notepad.
Jim grinned. “I walk past the Science Officer, our hands brushing as-”
“Oh shut up,” said Nyota, obviously suppressing a giggle. “You’ve tried to seduce him, what? Thirty times now?” She looked to Chekov. “How close am I?”
“Well, it’s a bit higher than the thirties,” he said. The bastard was reaching into his backpack for a notebook, no doubt to add another tally to some list he’d made for keeping score.
“I’m getting closer every time!” Jim said.
Spock raised an eyebrow in his direction. “Roll for charisma,” he sighed.
He did, tossing the die across the table. And, as was the usual, he rolled a two.
“Oh come on,” Jim groaned. “Can I try again?”
“Jim, we have discussed this before. You cannot spend the entire game attempting to seduce your Science Officer.”
“Now that we have gotten that over with,” Spock said, “I feel as though I must inform you that, due to a yet unknown technical malfunction, you now find yourself stranded in uncharted space, and, as I previously stated, surrounded by Klingon warbirds.”
After that, the game resumed as usual.
There was, of course, a miraculous victory from the crew of the Enterprise (with only a few casualties, mostly in the NPC department) and somehow Jim’s player character had ended up shirtless again, but they defeated the Klingons and saved the day. And then, soon enough, it was seven in the evening.
Time to leave.
Jim made his way over to the sofa, picking up his backpack where he’d dropped it earlier that evening. He slipped it over his shoulders before turning to his friends.
“Psst,” Jim said, careful to be quiet as he beckoned Nyota and Bones over to him. “Guys.”
Bones looked confused at first, but after a glance at Jim’s face, he knew exactly what was going on. “Oh no. No, nope, no way, not gonna happen.”
“Jim,” Nyota said, trying a different approach, “come on. Just wait a little longer if you’re nervous. I told you I could coach you if you wanted, and that offer still stands.”
“I don’t know… I just. Ugh. I have this gut feeling that I have to do it now.”
“Then just do it!” Bones said, voice getting gruffer with each passing moment. “You don’t need us with you to ask him out.”
“Well, it would be helpful?”
“Helpful,” Nyota deadpanned.
“Like… cheerleaders?”
"Cheerleaders?" Bones made a face.
“You’ve never actually asked someone out before have you.”
“Sure I have!”
Nyota and Bones gave each other a look.
“Please,” he hissed, voice still held at a whisper. No one could really explain why, but Spock had excellent hearing. He was just kind of like that. And Jim wasn’t willing to let him overhear this conversation. “You don't have to be right next to me, just nearby? In case something goes wrong. Or I catch on fire. Or Spock catches on fire…”
“I’ve got a date with T’Pring,” said Nyota. “I can’t help you with your love life right now, Jim.”
“Bones looked up. “Sorry Jimmy Boy. I’m busy too.”
“What? No excuse Bones? At least Nyota had something prepared.”
“Oh shut up.”
“You shut up.”
“You-”
“-are both acting like toddlers,” Nyota finished. “Come on Jim, get it together. Ask him out.”
“On what? A date? Does Spock even do dating?”
“You’ll never know until you get your shit together.”
With that, she slung her backpack over her shoulder and left, saying goodbye to them all on her way up the stairs.
Jim groaned.
“Well, that’s one way to do it,” Bones muttered.
“Bones…”
“Come on Jim, it’s not that hard. You just go over to him, tell him you like him. Ask him if he wants to go out with you.”
“And what do I do if he says no?”
“Say that it’s okay, you understand. Smile. Hold it together until you get somewhere you can cry safely.”
“Bones.”
“What? It’s solid advice.”
“Okay.” Jim took a deep breath. “What if he says yes?”
“You tell him that you’re really happy, and you like him a lot. I’d say give him a hug or something, but this is Spock we’re talking about, so avoid physical contact for now. And whatever you do, don’t say ‘cool’.”
“Don’t say cool?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Just don’t do it.”
“Mm-hm. That’s how you charmed Miriam?”
“Oh shut up.”
And then, as though following in Nyota’s footsteps (probably purposefully, the bastard), Bones grabbed his backpack and ran up the stairs. Leaving Jim alone with Spock in the basement.
“Fuck,” Jim muttered.
“I fail to see a reason for such language,” a cool voice said from behind him.
Jim almost jumped out of his skin.
He spun around, face-to-face with the boy himself.
"Hi Spock!" Said Jim, voice jumping an octave from nerves.
Cue signature eyebrow raise. "Jim."
Jim took a deep breath. "I was wondering..." he felt his hands drop to his pockets as he tried to get the words out. "Well, you see... I like you-"
"I should hope so. We spend a fair amount of time together, in school and outside of it."
"Spock-"
"I am messing with you, Jim."
Jim looked up.
Spock was smiling.
Jim looked up the stairs, eyes tracing the paths Nyota and Bones had taken, then looked back at the ground at his feet, then looked back at Spock. "Did you overhear-?"
"Your entire conversation?" Spock shrugged. "Perhaps."
"Do you want to-?"
"Yes."
"Oh... wow, I...."
"Jim?"
"Spock?"
"Do not say 'cool'."

Star Trek DS9 Rewatch Log, Stardate 1909.22: Missions Reviewed, “Afterimage,” “Take Me Out to the Holosuite,” and “Chrysalis.”
(Review notes: While watching these three episodes yesterday, I saw the news that Aron Eisenberg, Nog, passed away unexpectedly.  Nog has been in integral part of this story, and I know he has some very deep and dark episodes coming up in this rewatch.  The heart that shows through Nog though is certainly the product of Aron Eisenberg’s performance. He was actively involved with fandom, even liking a couple of my tweets in the past.  By all accounts he was quite a person, and this is certainly a hard loss for the community of Niners, and Star Trek fans in general.  Condolences to his family and friends.)
Tumblr media
“Afterimage” shows Ezri Dax having a hard time adapting to life on the station, and planning instead to resume Ezri Tigen (pre-joined Ezri’s) duties on the USS Destiny. Sisko wants her to stay, Quark considers this to be the chance he lost out on with Jadzia, and slowly convinces Bashir of the same. Worf meanwhile refuses to even be in the same room with her.  When Worf sees her spending time with Bashir however, he threatens the Doctor, saying that accepting Ezri dishonors the memory of Jadzia. Garak, who has been codebreaking the Cardassians for Starfleet Intelligence starts having claustrophobic attacks even in spacious areas, and Sisko asks Ezri, a counselor, to talk to him.
Tumblr media
She ties his claustrophobia to the fact his father would lock him in a closet for a punishment and moves on, but his attacks get worse, causing them to have to let him spend time in a holosuite.  When she tries to treat him again, he becomes belligerent, and convinces her she should leave Starfleet. Sisko seems to support that. O’Brien goes to Worf, and talks to him about the fact that this is a tough situation, but would Jadzia want him to treat Ezri this way? Ezri is preparing to leave the station, and yet goes to say goodbye to Garak, mentioning his successes codebreaking. When he gets uncomfortable, she pushes, and Garak breaks down, and the two of them realize he is punishing himself as a traitor to Cardassia, knowing the Dominion must be stopped, but knowing also that his people will likely be destroyed in the process.  He accepts treatment, and Ezri decides she will stay if Worf can handle it.  Worf mentions it will still be hard for him, but knows he cannot punish Ezri for what has happened.  As she accepts the DS9 position and a promotion, knowing Sisko pushed her buttons earlier to motivate her, she moves through the crowd more comfortable.  Worf does not speak to her, but toasts her from across the room.
Tumblr media
It is fascinating to watch these writers who now have more than six years working together under their belts get to develop a new character, when there is so much great material sitting around to call on. Garak’s feelings on Cardassia are a great moment for his character too, but I think the thing that I find most compelling here is the Sisko/Dax relationship.  We know Curzon Dax was Benjamin’s mentor, then Jadzia his friend and peer.  Here we see Benjamin get to step into the mentor role, and that’s a really lovely piece of character development only a Science Fiction setting can give you. Worf’s confusion over all of this is very heartfelt, as who wouldn’t want to bring their love back in some form…but particularly since he just allowed Jadzia soul to enter Sto-Vo-Kor, how does a Klingon deal with her being in this new, timid and unsure person?  All of this is well-played.
A Vulcan starship the T’Kumbra docks at DS9 and an old rival of Sisko challenges him to a baseball game in “Take Me Out to the Holosuite.” Since an Academy quarrel, Captain Solok has taken every opportunity to show his Vulcan superiority to Sisko, including citing Sisko’s Academy behavior in about a dozen papers. Now, he has trained members of his crew in baseball, and is ready to show Sisko he is superior there as well.
Tumblr media
Sisko assembles his staff and starts training them to play, and asks Odo to be umpire. The crew is eager, but also untalented. Sisko begins to take this all very seriously and kicks Rom off the team for being so bad at it.  The rest threaten to quit, but Rom asks them all to stay. When the game day arrives, the Vulcans are pulling way ahead, and tensions are high. When Odo calls a strike on Worf and Sisko protests, tapping Odo on the chest, Odo ejects him.  Sisko, now in the stands watches O’Brien take over as coach and sees his crew together as a team, losing or not. He grabs Rom (who has been in the stands watching) and suits him up. O’Brien puts him on the plate with Nog on third at the top of the ninth.  They signal for Rom to bunt, and when he leans in to try and figure out what they are talking about, the ball hits his bat. Nog makes it to home and the Niners score their first run. The team goes out praising Rom and celebrating, carrying him off the field. Solok complains to the umpire that the game isn’t finished and when Odo turns, the Vulcan grabs his shoulder to pull him back.  Odo smiles and says, “YOU’RE GONE!”
Tumblr media
Later at Quark’s, the Niners are celebrating their non-shut out with Jake beating himself up over giving up 12 runs.  Ben reminds him Vulcans are at least three times stronger and faster than humans, and in the circumstances they all did great. Solok comes in to gloat, but finds himself heckled when he sees they Niners enjoying themselves, and they begin to point out how emotional he seems to be over that fact. The Logisticians have more points, but the Niners enjoyed the game, and the team all sign a baseball to go on Sisko’s desk.
Given the serious nature of the show, having a break like this one where you can catch your breath and enjoy some fish-out-of-water moments is pretty welcome. (Worf’s version of “hey-batter-batter” is actually “Death to the Opposition!) I had more of a problem with this episode 20 years ago feeling the Vulcans were mis-portrayed, and indeed, I think THIS is where we first see the Vulcans of “Star Trek: Enterprise” with their superiority complex. Having reconciled that watching ENT this worked much better for me. Perhaps an analysis of the Vulcans in canon and fanon should be the subject of another essay…oh lord, do I need to rewatch and review Enterprise? Interestingly,  Rom is shown here batting left handed because Max Grodénchik was an accomplished player, having actually played semi-pro.  They couldn’t get him to otherwise appear unskilled enough.
In “Chrysalis,” Bashir is feeling a bit lonely but has the Jack Pack, the group of genetically enhanced humans who are institutionalized, come to the station because they know he is working on something to help Serina (the non-verbal woman among them) control her sensory stimuli and normalize.
Tumblr media
After Sisko smooths over the fact that three of them impersonated Starfleet Officers to get there, Bashir tries to design the machine he needs to work on Serina’s brain, but O’Brien tells him it can’t be done.  The Jack Pack take on the issue and manage a fine substitute.  Bashir performs the operation and indeed Serina seems fine, yet she has the benefits of her genetic engineering as well.  She seems unable to integrate back into the group of her friends though, and starts spending more time with Bashir and his friends. He develops feelings for her, asking if she wants to stay on the station. He is quite happy to have someone who can think and act as well as he can with his augmentations.
Tumblr media
She seems to suffer a setback however and becomes cataleptic again. They come to realize it is only a defense mechanism as she does not want to hurt Bashir, but is not ready to make a decision to be with him either; Bashir derides himself for smothering her.  Jack, Patrick, and Lauren go back to their hospital, while Bashir finds Serina a research position where she can sort out her new life. As she leaves, he promises to never forget her, and standing alone, he watches her ship leave.
I have to wonder if intentionally or not, this episode puts Bashir’s insufferable horndog days from the early seasons into context.  He is indeed separated from everyone around him by his abilities, and though he does love his friends, he is seeking some form of deeper connection on par with his level of thinking. There’s not a lot of time left for the show to revisit Serina, and we won’t see her again before the show ends, but it would be neat if some future show could give us a hint of where a second genetically enhanced human whom it seems the Federation is going to allow out in the world, ends up.
NEXT VOYAGE: Star Trek gives me one of my dearest beliefs about the inner workings of the universe in “Treachery, Faith, and The Great River.”

Stories of the Stars (Starshipping Collection) #10
Title: Dance in the Stars With Me (Sequel to Dance of the Stars)
Prompt - Ice Skating AU #2 - Judai finally meets his idol on the rink at the World Championship. To say Yusei is impressed by Judai's performance, is an understatement.
Rating: K
Written by Mayasha-Chan
Written for @yusei-fudo - Thank for so much for your support on the first one. You wanted to see them meet at the World Championship, so I granted your wish :) With one final thrust of his arm, the young two-toned, brown haired man sweeped his hand against the frozen ice; finger tips barely brushing the cool surface as he brought the long limb tightly against his chest. The blurry world around him steadily came back into focus as he felt the momentum of his show finishing spin decrease, until finally coming to a halt. Head thrown back and arms extended skyward, the skater released a shaky breath as the overwhelming stack of tension and emotion left his body in a wave so intense it left every fibre of his being trembling. I... I did it? I finally did it!  The resounding roar of applause and cheers of adoration only heightened his excitement. A blindly bright and practically goofy grin of childish delight dominated his features as he waved to the many supporters within the crowd, before making his way off the ice. "And that was an outstanding performance from everyone's favourite new underdog and rising star... Yuki Judai! I think we can all agree that he'll be scoring some high numbers for that passionate piece!" Chuckling in mild embarrassment, Judai dismissed the commentators words with a shake of his head and instead focused his full attention on the giant electronic scoreboard, tapping the toe of skate on the floor repeatedly. Sitting in the Kiss and Cry booth always made him nervous. Though he didn't like to show it. Judai forced himself to take a deep breath and shut his eyes. It doesn't matter what that board says. Good or bad, he will never stop pushing himself. Not until he can stand on the ice with Yusei. Even sitting here at the World Championship wasn't enough. Sure, Yusei had told him he'd be waiting for him here but... he no longer wanted to just stand next to the Shooting Star on the podium. He wanted to stand side by side with Yusei Fudo, together on the ice. Adoration. Respect. As he continued to strive for the next level in his skating, he noticed that those feelings had slowly seemed to change. After their meeting on his home practice rink, Judai had nearly had a heart attack when he'd received a text from the raven haired champion, letting him know he'd asked Jesse for Judai's contact info so that he could get to know the "Heroic" rookie better. Thus, while the first few messages had been a series of awkward hellos on Judai's part and many prompting questions from Yusei, they both soon fell into a comfortable form of daily conversation. Simple queries on favourite colours and foods had slowly become more personal and intimate. Now, they never failed to send each other a message each day asking the other how their day had been and how they were feeling. Obviously they weren't just fellow skating competitors anymore. But it left Judai wondering.... what exactly were they? Friends? Rivals? He honestly couldn't say. Though, thinking of Yusei did make him wonder. Had Yusei seen his performance? If so, what did he think of it? The very thought made his heart beat rapidly, making him nervous yet strangely happy. Brows furrowed in confusion, Judai grasped the area over his heart and let it's unsteady beat pulse against his hand. What was this feeling? "And the scores are in! Let's look to the board!" The announcers booming voice snapped Judai out of his thoughts. He shook his head, pushing his queries about Yusei and his odd feelings to the back of his mind and instead focusing all his attention on his on the giant electronic scoreboard hanging on the far wall of the rink. Grand Prix Final Men's Singles Free Skate Judai Yuki   - 200.97 Edo Phoenix -   195.84
Bruno Tanaka   - 192.56
Crow Hogan   - 189.98
Jun Manjoume    - 187.87 Fubuki Tenjoin   - 184.37
"Incredible! Following his awe-striking Short Program yesterday, the rookie sensation has done it again! With a passionate, heart racing performance earning him a score of 200.97 putting him at the top of the leader board. Could this little firecracker finally be the one to give the Shooting Star, Yusei Fudo, a run for his money?" Judai couldn't believe it. He'd done it. He... He had made it to the top of the leader board. What... What would Yusei think? So lost in his thoughts, Judai hadn't even realised he'd left the 'Kiss & Cry' booth until he felt a slap hit his back. "Way to go Judai!" Johan cheered, wrapping and arm around his best friend's shoulder. "That performance was incredible! You really did look like a hero out there." "You think so?" Judai asked. He was still reeling from the whole thing. Johan just laughed and gave his back a quick pat, "Sure do! You've earned it man." Johan wasn't the last to congratulate him. Many of the other competitors and coaches each offer him kind words of praise congratulations. Though nothing could compare to the person who called out to him next. "That was beautiful, Judai." Judai froze on the spot. Was that - It couldn't be. Why the heck would Yusei be here?! But wait... This is the World Championships, so why wouldn't he be here. Gah! He's probably waiting for a response. I should say something cool - or confident! He turned round and smiled bashfully, scratching the back of his head. "U-Um... Did you really think so?" Crap. That wasn't what he meant to say at all. As if he could read Judai's thoughts, Yusei smirked and walked towards him, "While I do like your modesty, Judai. You should take credit where credit is due." Judai gulped. Yusei had gotten really close to him. Which probably should have made him feel awkward or uncomfortable. But all Judai could feel was heavy beat of his heart. Getting louder and louder. Reflexively, he stepped back only to have Yusei follow him. That is until his back hit the wall, and Judai found he couldn't move back any further. Still smirking, Yusei only brought himself closer to Judai, casually trapping the young skater against the wall and his body. "I don't think you realise just what kind of affect you have on me." Yusei whispered, causing Judai to shiver as the older skater's hot breath washed of his ear. "Such passion. Such determination." Completely trapped in Yusei's warm, and dare he say heated gaze. Judai didn't even register how Yusei gently lifted his chin up. "It sets my heart on fire." And then Yusei’s lips descended on his. The first thought that came to Judai's head, was that they were soft. Good lord, were Yusei's lips soft. The second, was that they felt some nice against his own. He honestly couldn't even begin to describe just how... right it felt to have those soft lips against his own. And as strange as it may sound, his brain only seemed to come to the striking realisation that he was KISSING Yusei Fudo after Yusei pulled away for air. Though his cheeks were flushed, Yusei remained the ever confident one. Whereas Judai was fairly certain his face matched his skating outfit. Deep, deep red. Yusei brushed his thumb over Judai's bottom lip, not hiding his self-satisfied smirk at the flustered state he'd rendered the young skater to. "I hope that one day, you will let me skate alongside you. So I can feel that burning fire firsthand." Then with a wink, he was gone. Judai watched him walk down the hallway and politely chat to the other skaters, as if he hadn't just ravished him against the wall a few mere second ago. Did... Did that just happen? Raising a shaking hand to his kiss swollen lips, Judai reassured himself that yes, that did just happen. The skating prodigy. The Shooting Star, himself. Had kissed him. And all Judai could think about was how he finally understood what kind of person Yusei was to him.

Minhyuk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Welcome to the party! Please accept the contact request from Vivid Bot and accept the invitations to each of our 5 groups. Hope we have some good times
IC Name: Lee Minhyuk International Age: 23  Group or Occupation: Monsta X  Company: Starship Ent. Introduce yourself to our users: Hi, I’m Monsta X’s vitamin, Lee Minhyuk at your service!  OOC Age: 22 Time Zone: gmt+8 Describe your muse in 200 words or more:
Minhyuk is basically a ball of sunshine who is very energetic and lively. He can be such a noisy boy but that is actually one of his treasured charms. And like what he usually calls himself, he is indeed a vitamin to his own self and to his group as well. The 23-year old idol may appear as the type who is always happy and outgoing but he is also emotional. He is actually known to be the crybaby of the group even during their pre-debut days. He has a lot of aegyo and loves using it but he prefers being called sexy instead of cute. In his group, he is known to be the jack of all trades, being relatively good in all aspects like singing, dancing, hosting, and visuals. In terms of relationship with other people, Minhyuk finds it relatively effortless to socialize and interact with acquaintances and strangers alike due to his amiable personality. He is into a lot of skinship and can be extra clingy to a selected few, those who are really close to him. But he isn’t the type to jump into a sexual encounter that quick and prefers to be friends with people first before going that intimate.
Describe your muses relationship with two of their closest friends:
Minhyuk is always seen very clingy around his members. But he seems to be closest and clingiest when it comes to leader Shownu. They have been together in every mission during their pre-debut contest “NO Exit”. They usually sit beside each other during interviews and broadcasts and Minhyuk serves as the spokesperson for the quiet leader. Sometimes, he becomes the coach as well, motivating and supporting Shownu at times when he really needs to speak for the group.
Since Minhyuk is one of the older members of the group, he is protective and caring to the younger ones like Jooheon for instance whom he always hugged so tight even when the younger is asleep. He is playful around the said rapper and the two of them get along well due to their similar loud and cheerful personalities. The two are the pillars of aegyo and comedy in Monsta X.
List any friendships your muse has outside their group: GOT7’s Mark and Jinyoung, Seventeen’s Jeonghan, BTOB’s Minhyuk, BAP’s Youngjae.
